The Good & Bad Of Following Your Passion (Mere Mortals Episode #51 - Passion)

Can you have passion for a pursuit without a struggle? This is one of many questions posed in this special outdoors episode of 'Passion'. Funnily enough the etymology of the word derives from the latin 'pati', which roughly translates to 'that which must be endured', a different impression from the passion talked about nowadays. For this episode we focused solely on the perceived positive interpretation of the word, such as following one's own passion.

Unfortunately just having a passion and following it is not enough to lead a good life. Examples such as Jeffrey Skilling and Elizabeth Holmes (of Enron and Theranos notoriety) exist of individuals with a passion but were willing to trample over moral boundaries in the process. On the flip side, following your inner calling can lead to a life that is amazing, despite the innate suffering. We hope the viewer finds their passion and fulfil it to its limit. Mere Mortals out!
