It's time for our monthly check in where we review our goals from last month and see what's coming up for the next.
Let's start off strong as we notice Kyrin's shirt is inside out, lol. Reflecting on our November goals, we did ok but noticed the busy period coming in strong. Juan discusses his fitness journey, focusing on strengthening his obliques and the benefits he's noticed in his handstand practice. He also shares his commitment to better sleep habits and reducing caffeine intake. I'm still looking for a girl and will be putting less emphasis on the language learning.

Welcome back, mere mortalites. We are here with monthly goals. You've got Juan here. And Kyrin here. Kyrin with his shirt inside out. I've just noticed back to front, but this rock and roll. That is what monthly goals is all about. You never know what to expect in Immortalized. But yeah, we are live for those who are watching live at the moment. Obviously if you're listening to this post, post live session, look, we try to do a lot of these conversations live as much as possible. So feel free to join us. These monthly goals are once a month. They'll generally fall, but we'll normally do our music slash me and drinks afterwards as well. So we are April 21, 821 in the morning on the 1st December, 2024. Yep. Now monthly goals with a chance to reflect back in the previous month goals, how we went, any learnings, then we generally talk about, just overall support, supply, some of the fitness as well. In general. Yep. There's a couple of well, it won't come up in these particular goals. I think from an alignment perspective on annual goals, a lot of the other ideas that are ruminating in my mind don't come up on these, but I might chat about them in the fitness space that we talk at the very end as well. So stick around for that, me and mortal ads.
Also November 2024. Again, go reflect back if you want on the previous monthly goals to see maybe our intent behind them. Yeah. Because some of these leads into Yeah. Some of these I did not do at all. Not even God said. Me too. Me too. So I'll I'll just run through them. I all had 7 that I noted down for November. And 3 being in body. 1 engaging to the running calendar. Once again, I did do. I did do. I'll leave it at that. It wasn't I did it, but it wasn't enough like Oh, man. It's so shaky. It was like just a tick, like just a tick. Needs to improve.
I talked about this a little while ago, but I wanted to do oblique side bend with really heavy kettlebell reset to 10 every time. That one was a real challenge. I did do it, but it became not heavy towards tail end of the month. How much weight? It was starting with 24 kilo kettlebells, and it ended up using 12 kilo dumbbells, 10 kilo dumbbells. They were really really jacked up repeated repeatedly. Let's say I do Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday gym workouts and I'd be doing them. On a Wednesday, I could really feel like the obliques really, really quite feeling it. I felt 10 KG was more than enough to get what I needed to do. Now I will say I wanted to do that specifically for, I guess, just strengthening the obliques more. This is definitely just more again, all of the these goals around movement were about strengthening and making sure that I'm bulletproofing my body for what's to come in a few months years. However, what I found doing that particular one, I guess just for handstands, the I don't know specifically what you call this, but if you're doing a handstand and you're maybe leaning against the wall and you bend yourself sideways, so still holding both hands. Flags.
Flags. Flags became easy as all hell. Oh my goodness. By the tail end of it Yeah. And and, it's obviously peculiar to me. It lags towards my left hand side of the bus. I just don't want to see this. Left leaning left leaning hands. I can't do that for whatever reason cannot like I'll do it but it's there's some usually one side's better. Yeah, the right. Wow. That one was good. And I, very acutely where it became really, really easy was going from flag. If it's all flag, flag to straight, the flag to straight. This is not off the wall. This is largely on the wall and then coming home. But that movement pattern of bringing it back. I was like, woah, the obliques got strong here. So Take a video next time. It had a yeah. It it, I would say how far down would it be? I'd say angle like 60 degrees. I'd say 60 degrees down towards a 90 degree like horizontal.
So, they felt good. They felt good. As in with your legs together or with legs together. Correct. All right. And then stop any caffeine from 2 pm and no heavy food 1 hour before bed. Yep. This was easy. Those are good Also, made sure even with like some drinking events and that I made sure I like, hey, I'm not getting any caffeinated drinks and the like. So that was awesome. Mhmm. The mind one start to get back to a race per week. This is specifically in relation to, swim racing. I did it just, just and, I just found myself there was other things I actually wanted to prioritize. But, I made it work, I made it work, but it was it was difficult.
Mixing up the French and Italian one each day, no. Get out of here. I was doing French a couple of days and just like, I was like, I don't want to do it. I don't, I do not want to mix these up right now, like this is just painful to do. I'm keeping the Italian going very lightly, very gently. I've almost started to think like maybe I'm just going to pause it for a couple of months, do something else, re energize myself back to it. I believe I'm on 932 days straight at the moment on Duolingo and that's really the only method of learning a language I guess I would say that I've been using.
It's just maybe I need I need a better prompt but perhaps it's gonna pull back at the start of the next year. We'll see, we'll see. In fact, it doesn't show up as monthly goals in December. It'll Just getting rid of it and continuing it on as a side gig. Yeah. So but I did not mix them up. Not at all. 1 each day? Fuck that. Go on. And then 2 in the soul, complete the itinerary and the catering for the wedding. Nope. Did the catering? Goddamn. Geez. My heart's out to people who have actually organized weddings, and why you'd probably need a wedding planner.
Man, it's time consuming.
[00:05:37] Kyrin Down:
Time consuming. Let's call up the guy, I want some shrimp. Oh man,
[00:05:42] Juan Granados:
maybe I would be like that. Maybe other males are like that but females I think different around like the exact menu that they want and what they want and what's going to be available and at what time, what's it look like on what plate, what fork do you have, when do you have it? Is it before the cocktail hour, is it during cocktail hour? Do you have cocktail hour? Do you have cocktail hour? Is it when I'm giving too much away, is it when the violinist comes on? It when there's a lot of things going, but we did the catering, not the itinerary. So itinerary is gonna come next month, you'll see it in this month of adults. And the last one, which this one was a good one in terms I had to like continue to reflect to do it, which which was in my morning notes of the day, reflect on where I added to my knowledge of who I am and what I can do, which often when I do my daily journaling, as you expect it's more of a journal of the day of what's happened, but the kind of more deeper thinking of, oh, what did I do in that particular day whether it's good or bad, usually better when it's bad, of where it reflects of, oh, who I am and what I can do and this is an overarching goal from self esteem to self worth where self esteem I think is a very easy thing to generate, self worth in its own individual right is a much harder thing to be centered around. So that one particular was actually quite good because a lot of the days I would have just I wrote into it like a general journal, check my monthly goals, and I was like, oh, shit. I forgot. I'm gonna do that. And then that extra 25 seconds of thinking and doing it, actually, when I reviewed back yesterday, like, my monthly notes, I was like, oh, yeah. That that was good. I'm really glad I wrote this here and this here and this here and, like, that's the actual, I guess would be the learnings as opposed to just memento of the day of what happened. So those are the that was a good. So that was the 7
[00:07:22] Kyrin Down:
for November. Oh, yeah. Yep. Yep. That sounds like me in that I think as we get into November December, we still have the same idea of how much we can do. And then then things happen, things happen, life happens, especially festivities and whatnot. So for myself, November 2024 goals as usual, I have 8. These are linked exactly to my annual goals type in Kyren's 2025 goals, YouTube or on our website, you'll find them. So go to a couple of events, be more default friendly. I didn't do that. Went to some ballet and, there's a couple of just other general things that I went to. I was probably more imagining going out into the city and going to like a language event or something. I didn't do that, but I went to I still kept myself pretty busy going out to things, organize a casino golf and I think I said tennis last time, but squash session was what I meant. I did play some squash for the first time. Very fun. Would recommend probably probably even more fun than tennis. Just from that one off thing I had but I'm willing willing to play with the decider will be playing with you and our friend Joey. Okay. Yeah.
I did go to casino with my friend Brandon and golf day just got delayed twice due to rain. Sure. Did not have How do you much about that? Yep. So you finish financial 25 tax work and you sell limits. I have done this. So like, man, you're thinking, Kyren, you're doing amazing. Come into here be prepared to adapt if 3 times 1 hand 1 on handstand is too much. Even better. I fucked up my back. And so I couldn't train for the first like 2 weeks. So yes, I had to adapt more on how my hamstance and body are going begin forcefully stating my exceptional intent.
I wouldn't say I did this, but I was certainly less self deprecating than okay. So I think I think that's a win. And then this is where it just like starts to fall off a little bit. Finnish Machado JSIS. So this is the book I'm reading. Memorios post doing this to but ask Kubas. I got about halfway through the reason I got a real good section done was because I wasn't training because I hurt my back slash neck. And so I had a lot more free time. And so I was using it to do this. But then as soon as I started training again, I'm like, oh, I've got no time at all. And one thing that wasn't on this list was I helped my dad move house, which probably took up would have been a good big chunk of time 20 to 30 hours just that I wasn't really expecting to do so.
And what and watch just one volleyball video. I didn't do it. I didn't know. I saw it last night just before bed and I'm like, fuck. That's the easiest. The right reason I write this down was just because it was just one. So easy to do yet. And I still fucked it up, which I think gets into what you were saying about. I think we're both in a pattern at the moment where it's like language learning is just not top priority. So
[00:10:29] Juan Granados:
I think it depends on its application. Like, I think that one part of it is its applicability right now is diminishing in that I don't necessarily need have a have a wanting for it. It was it's good to do I think from a mental perspective, but
[00:10:45] Kyrin Down:
is there a practical use to it? Especially with some of the more technology that comes available and makes things easier? I don't know. I genuinely don't know. I still think it's worth worthwhile just for your brain. And yeah, for sure, in terms of, you know, whatever, like maintaining plasticity and things like that. In terms of comprehension. I still find it really fun. Like, for example, shout out to Lucas H Branco, who is my Portuguese, Brazilian friend who speaks Portuguese, Portuguese. And he sent me a link just last night is like, check out my website, lucashbrancho.com.
And it's got like a 3 paragraphs in in Portuguese, which is just explaining him what he's about. Oh, I switched it. Don't go to the English version. It'll it'll, no, not like it. But in the Portuguese version, I read through it. I'm like, oh, I can understand basically all of this, which was really fun. I enjoy reading it and be like, oh, I know exactly what it's saying here. Would I be able to say this? No. But I'm getting to the point where it's like, I value more the comprehension rather than me actually being able to see it correct. So I think that might change a couple of things in terms of how I study or at least, okay, it's staying the same. Like, I really like reading books in another language. It's really fun when I can speak, but it's not as important. Anyway, no kidding. Getting slightly distracted there.
Practice catching and diverting girls slash loneliness related fantasies. I think I did this really well. This one I was a lot more on top of and staying not getting caught up in my own bullshit and whatever. And then only AI or future related content in the evenings. Now, I just at some point, I was just like, Nah, I want to evenings for fun times. So I'm gonna have to try and find another way of making sure that I'm not like, spending too much time on just it's not trash. This gives me joy and pleasure. But I definitely still want to have a bit more which is educational and helping me learn about AI and technology. So it's got to got to find a way to do that.
So actually, you know, in terms of everything, that was probably like 5 out of 8. So I'd give this like a 6 to 7 out of 10 month, which isn't the worst. But No. I don't know. I mean, and I think the the the right balance,
[00:13:18] Juan Granados:
if you could quantify it in some way, I think an 8 out of 10 month repeated consistently will
[00:13:25] Kyrin Down:
be
[00:13:26] Juan Granados:
going like I'd be happy with that. Yeah, and like what will be if you go, you know, 9 out of 10, 9 out of 10, 3 out of 10, 3 out of 10, 8 out of 10, 8 out of 10, 8 out of 10, 2 out of 10, 1 out of 10, you know, having like real shitty months or having been broken because you went so hard in a particular month or whatever time frame. Yeah. I think it's just better just have a general good cadence. It's cool. Yep. Keep on tracking. Yeah. Something to falter again, do it again, do it again. Any overarching,
[00:13:50] Kyrin Down:
I guess, monthly things are cool. So there's one thing that we haven't talked about for a while, which is the 145, $150 shirt that Juan is wearing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So those who don't know, we do have some shirts, some merch, which is only available by sending in 100 ks of satoshi. So 0.01 Bitcoin that too many zeros It's not 0.10zeros. Now it's not that's too many. It's it's 0.01.01 Bitcoin, which you're like, Ah, that's that's not too much. That's Yeah,
[00:14:28] Juan Granados:
a little bit. That's isn't 100,000,000 100,000,000 Bitcoin.
[00:14:32] Kyrin Down:
And we Yeah, sorry. So it's 2 zeros. 0.001. Yeah. I was calling it. Yeah. That actually is a frank and prize. That is. So we'll talk about this 2 years ago. $22 T shirt that you could have gotten.
[00:14:48] Juan Granados:
Now, the $150
[00:14:50] Kyrin Down:
Yep. So it's what it is. Time rolls. But yes, so anyway, if you if you want to support the show, and you can, I'm honestly thinking this will just become a bit more of the law. We will, you know, gradually we'll phase it out. We won't talk about it. And it'll only be people who like eventually go back and listen to the whole catalog. And they'll they'll be like, holy shit. Is this available? Yeah. Can I still do this? Of course, it'll then be a $1500 T shirt at that stage. But you know, that's what happens to be 100 or dollar. Probably 1500 more likely.
So in terms of other just general support, really do appreciate everyone who's supported financially into the show. But then also, you know, keeping those comments on YouTube, liking, subscribing, all those sorts of things, sharing via word-of-mouth. Very, very much appreciated. Absolutely.
[00:15:41] Juan Granados:
December. What's happened in December, man? That's all right. So same. I've got 77 here. 7 seems to be the good number at the moment. And I think it's just the the way that I've structured the annual goals. It doesn't let for more monthly goals to be created. I could do multiple for a monthly goal, annual goal. Sorry, but it just feels right to give it keep it around this level. So December as usual, I was saying to a few folks, so I think since this particular weekend, like this weekend is the last weekend around 3 for the entirety of December into January in terms of every single Saturday and Sunday I have an event, a gathering, something, something's going on. So free time is decreasing over the next, in a good way, I guess. So, the serving goals are 3 in the body space. I'm going to accumulate 1 minute of, just hanging, hanging from a pull up bar, at the beginning of a gym session.
Much easier than the, side bend one, just simple, right? If you want to look it up just from, kind of unlocking the back and the shoulders, especially at the beginning when I'm starting to work out, I've had some friends who are older, I guess 45, 50 years old who train not religiously but they train quite a bit and I remember one of the things that they said to me years ago now, just you wait until you get much older, you know, it'll take you 10, 15 minutes to warm up and get into things. From when I was like in my early 20s, it would take me
[00:17:05] Kyrin Down:
Bro, my warm ups like half an hour.
[00:17:08] Juan Granados:
But it is, it is different what type of warming up you need to do, I guess, because yours, I guess, a high skill set level that you wouldn't need to be like. Yeah, I spent 10 minutes just from wrists. I'd say for me when I was in early 20s my warm up was, yeah, zero warm up it was I could go into a 140 kilo squat as a warm up and then off we go from there whereas now I probably need to do a good 10 minutes of lighter movements and still doing the movement pattern, I guess, I'm trying to do to get me into the working sets, let's just say, but I can see that getting worse. Like, it's not gonna improve like that's just going to become I'm going to need more time to be mobile enough, warm enough, primed enough to do the things that I want to be doing. Fine. So things like this I've found last couple of months. I think it's more so the shoulders do get a little I could take a while to get going with it, and so pull up, hang it from the pull up bar. Good stuff. If you haven't done it, do it. Feels fun. I like to do it at the end of the session sometimes, but I want to do it at the beginning of the session as well. Yep. Easy.
2, no alcohol 1 hour before bed. So why did I say that? I had a Christmas party, last Friday, this went by and I woke up on Saturday. Now, I've got an annual goal in relation to sleeping really well and through the month, I think the average was 5 hours and 40 something minutes, fine, whatever. Now, I slept about 5 hours and 40 something minutes off the back of that particular Christmas time, but, the Apple Watch has gotten a couple of other updates and it tells you when your respiratory rate and your heart rate started to deviate away from the norm and man was there some gigantic differences based on those alcoholic drinks that I had versus basically the rest of the month where I just didn't drink. Even if I did, it wasn't too much before bedtime. So I'm making it pretty strict alcohol 1 hour before bedtime. So you know, it's the silly season. There'll be plenty of drinks, I'm sure. But I just want to be like, just before bed.
Tape that off. Just so it makes it quite easy. Improve sleeping. 3 and I'll map back to sleep. Next minute 1 just getting like
[00:19:08] Kyrin Down:
an annihilated in the morning taxi now 45 minute taxi and he's stays up an extra 5 minutes just Yeah,
[00:19:17] Juan Granados:
I hope it's I hope it's the Yeah, it's the opposite of that where it's like it'll force me to go the forcing function to not drink that much. Yeah. 3rd one on the body make use, make full use of the treadmill because yes, me and more lines, I have a treadmill now at home, and so on target with the kilometres, kilometres starting to go up. Case in point today, I have 5 kilometres to do after my gym session. There was no time after the gym session to find the 5 kilometers, so I was like, but then I'm like, awesome, I've got trouble at home. So after, I won't even tell you the amount of things I've got on today, but after we finish podcast, I'm busy until basically 5 pm. Then after 5 pm, I'm like awesome, got 7 hours I could get some run-in. Okay. Fantastic.
In the Mindspace, 2 things, 1, I'll call them out. I wanna use the Magicmind product to create more content and be broad, broaden the distribution of stuff I'm doing. Today, Karen and me and Wallace, I'm having my I had the first shot of Magicmind. Had a quick look at the ingredients. It was, like lion's mane, mushroom and a few other things.
[00:20:20] Kyrin Down:
The Are you more focused? Now,
[00:20:24] Juan Granados:
don't know. I feel like I'm the same. I feel like I'm the same. I've had quite a bit of caffeine. They do say like pair it with caffeine. It should feel good. It says you get a over the days that you use it you feel even more and more and more, you know, locked in ready to go geared up. Let's see. Let's see first day. I'm having it tasted quite nice wasn't like disgusting to do it. I'm refrigerating it. We are not sponsored by them. Now, this is why I went super clear as well. We're not sponsored by them. Again, these guys basically said, hey, can you put it up? Can you trial this out? We can sponsor you, you can do whatever. And we said, no. And the guy said, I'll call him out Sebastian. He was basically like, hey, look, I'll just send it to you. Try it out. If you want to talk about it, talk about it. Yeah. I was like, awesome, man. That's awesome. So I opened it up. I'm sure I'll talk about it specifically. About 7 days, I've got it's oh, no. I feel like 15 days worth, something like that, but I want to try 7 days just to see where it goes.
Breakdown my 2025 game plan. Now, this is huge. I'm going to say it right now. Right here. There's a huge potential coming this year. Too many things I can do. I'm just gonna break down what is the approach that I take with what we have available with us at the moment. There's lots of moving pieces I won't be able to talk about.
[00:21:36] Kyrin Down:
Finances.
[00:21:38] Juan Granados:
Yeah, just in general like finances and business wise. There's there's a few paths that could be going down what we've got at the moment. And it's just all good things but as usual when you've got a lot of options it's like you've got a lot of options. What do you do? And not feeling like shit should I have gone down this path as opposed to this other path? Yeah, try this month because it's one of those things where I'll really enjoy doing in my downtime thinking about those like more overarching in the clouds type mentality. I want to just sit down, do some numbers, figure out what it means because it would depending on what I choose, it will very much change like the monthly goals and the things that I'll start focusing on over the more longer term. I'll say like 2 3 years. So I need to like really just consider what exactly I want to get myself into, because I'll give you another example a couple of last week, literally like probably a week ago to the day, I I got a business idea in my mind and I was like, man, this is good, I can see how I make it work, I need to hire these amount of people and I can get this to do that, do the calculations, see how I've got enough cash so I could do that for the cash flow. I mean, my mind was like running a 1000000 miles a day and I, me and Pia got into an argument about it because she was like, no, we're going to talk about this and I was like, I cannot even, I can't talk to you about it, like, I need to figure this out right now. It's on my mind, which was nice that I did. So I sat down, used a couple of tools to build a quick business plan and half an hour later to kind of realize in my own sense and I needed to do that to go 1, it actually wasn't as lucrative as I thought. 2, actually doesn't align with what I want to do ultimately from spending my time and if I'm going to be wasting, if I'm going to be using an hour and a half to 2 hours per day, I'm like, no, I don't want to be doing that. I'd rather be doing some other things. So gotta be really, really careful with what you actually align with. And again, I'm already time poor. I want to become even more typo. So we'll see. We'll see. And I'll tell Karen in the interim between these two, but I'll reveal more I think as the years come. I'll blink it in Morse code. Yeah.
The viewer. And the last 2 there for sale, 1 complete the itinerary and begin the prem on the honeymoon of flights or the wedding. So I just need to go do that. Let's start looking at that. And 2, the perfect month to prioritize relationships. So just making the room and time for them all. Again, I mentioned it. There's a lot of catch ups. My extra note on that other side was I know myself in order to do that I need to just, it's kind of like the inverse, make even more priority to do the things that I want to do from a business learning insights growth, all that perspective, I just gotta go even harder in being intense in doing them so that I then feel like it's completely totally fine to be present and it's easier to be present in the being together, doing those sessions on a weekend, whatever it may be. Because I just know myself, if I don't prioritize the inverse of what I wanna do, like, on a daily basis, a consistent basis, I will feel annoyed that I'm not doing that when I'm trying to be more present in any relationships or activities and stuff like that. So those are the 7 in more lights. Okay, well, for December.
What have we got, Karen?
[00:24:45] Kyrin Down:
Yeah, so I've got 8, once again, all linked to my goals. This first one's really about getting out and just approaching girls, mostly, but I mean, approach anyone to be honest, and have a chat with with most people. So I want to reread is gonna be a fun one because it's, I don't think I've ever done a book review on any of Roosh's books, which, hey, I'm gonna reread Daybang. And I've also got this old journal which catalogued, I think, the first, like, 150 approaches that I did to girls. And it's really interesting seeing, like, the mindset that that version of me was in.
It was it's just it's just almost like crazy to think like, man, that that guy has more, like, energy slash willpower yet. I look at him and I'm like, I could beat him out of the water and anything. But, but he had more hustle, if you want to call it that. Okay, something like that. So I want to reread that and just just like,
[00:25:52] Juan Granados:
both of those things and be like, Alright, what was it that inspired me? Or what was I doing back then? And then I'm going to utilize cute dog be you know what I'll just say just quickly, I heard a horrifying statistic. I don't even know if this is correct. It popped up on Instagram today. I don't know if I can find it. It said what right now the statistic is something like 1 in 4 males at the current stage are destined to be single for most of their life Something like that. And I was like, this can't this number can't be true. That's like 20 25 percent of all males just gonna be single for the rest of their life or for the most of life. And I'm damn that real that's that seems crazy high number. I don't know how they come up with, especially when they say the rest of their life.
[00:26:35] Kyrin Down:
When they say things like that. I mean, I Yeah, there was a stat the other day, which I'm just so wow, it's gonna bug me. It was one of those ones where it was like, okay, you've presented it in this light where it's a really bad thing. But if you just logically think, why is this happening? You're like, oh, probably because of this and then X like it and it and it just makes sense and it doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing. I might remember it later. I'm not sure about that. But, yeah, that stat and yeah. Sorry, I'll do the fee about that. This one's related to going out doing things. So a couple of crypto events coming up this especially this next week. Today. Especially today.
I want to organize a beach day with some of the handstand buddies, general Christmas festivities and what there was one more I was thinking of which I should probably add in there. But yeah, anyway, do all of those things. Get get out and do do some stuff. I want to begin out and begin trying out the process of withdrawing. So this is in particular related to any like the crypto stuff that I have. I have multiple exchanges. I've played around with a lot of them, but haven't. And I have tried withdrawing from stuff before. Basically, I'm very in the crypto world, nicely Bitcoin, but I dabble with plenty of things. And I wouldn't say it's dabbling anymore. No, no, it's definitely it's definitely dabbling. It's definitely dabbling. And I want to try the process of, of I heard this good advice the other day, which was when the mania hits of, you know, prices pumping things going crazy, it's good to experiment the process of hitting the sell button, like what actually happens when you hit the sell button? How do you get it from this place to this place? Do you want to withdraw into Australian dollars or perhaps leave it in a in a stable coin?
I'm still kind of debating that myself. I need to do a bit more research on, on, on stable coins because, I'd actually wouldn't rather rather keep it in the system if I that's fine. But but in any case, so a bit more experimentation with regards to actual use of of some of these things. Okay, that's that's pretty much that one. Would you would you in experimentation?
[00:28:56] Juan Granados:
Will you experiment perhaps on like cards that you can spend with? I was actually looking at this the other day. I'd be I'd be interested. I'd be interested to hear about like, I saw it with Ethereum. And actually, what did I do? Was it MetaMask? I don't know what, I think it might have been MetaMask because I showed you there was a refund of some money and then when I went through to the MetaMask node, it was like, oh, would you like to set up a card so you can pay with Ethereum and it does these exchanges and I was like, it might be interesting. The other interesting thing, I don't think that you would do this, but I think a lot of people might do this, at least for Australia. So, Australia, monochrome, we've had Jeff. If you, you can transfer without it being a, tax print, tax transaction or tax, event, I guess I'd say. You can move Bitcoin and Ethereum into its ETFs Bitcoin and Ethereum without any taxable event and you can then take a loan of that given to you in Australian dollars, off the back and it's backed by your Bitcoin or Ethereum holding on this. It's no, it's a non taxable event, through all of that. Now, completely like there's just the structures of how it works. I don't think you would do this, but I could see people that might, find that to be an interesting It's not a Bitcoin.
There's a percentage fee obviously that the company takes to manage it. So you'd lose Ethereum as well because you've got an ETF for Ethereum and ETF for monochrome. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, if that was interest for people, monochrome, that might be a cool thing and it is the only, I will call it out, the only fully regulated one in the Australian side. That's not a feeder fund. And I Jeff would like that. Yeah, sure. Check out Jeff, you once had a couple of combos with them.
[00:30:36] Kyrin Down:
Follow and expand the one on handstand preparation protocol. So I started this the other day. It's another list. And I actually don't have too many lists on my phone. It's maybe 12 plus 6 in the archive, something like that. And I so I've written this title this one arm handstand secret formula. And so basically it's like what wrist warm up and pancake side bends doing some one leg isolations on your back, free handstand warm ups normal with switches between all positions. 2nd with narrow grip and one leg isolation, 3rd with flags fingertips straight up support. So basically, it's like creating a I'm going to use the word protocol. I'm creating a protocol.
[00:31:18] Juan Granados:
Hey, when used properly, it's good. I've got I've got I've got I've got a stretching protocol at the beginning of my workouts. I don't like the word protocol. In any case,
[00:31:27] Kyrin Down:
I'm a pattern which I can use to kind of get me into the mood and really start focusing, I guess, because I'm, I'm starting to get really into the handstands again, I'll talk more about how the body's feeling shortly. But I feel like I need something which will, at least for a temporary 1 month or so get me into the groove again of being like, alright, as focus time, don't know, not time to stuff around or anything like, like yesterday in the gym, for example, I was on my phone messaging man chill about crypto in between sets, and it's like, alright, if I'm serious about 1, I'm hesitant can't be doing that. So yeah, just I'll give you the benefit on it. So this is a gym. I'll know that again. Could you enhance it? No, no. So I was doing legs. Yes. Okay. No, then spookal.
Alright, honing on being fearless with the approach. No hesitation More than 3 seconds. So this is just one thing I was experimenting with just at the end of the month was just saying something really quickly. If it came to my head, I'll speak to someone and this is just to anyone, not not just to girls in particular. And I found it was good. But then do you ever see where your brain just says something really messed up and you're like, God damn, why did I even think that? But it's not you thinking that, but it kind of is. My brother had something really?
No, was my brother? No, sorry. It was Brendan. I'm gonna throw him under the bus here is one of his clients had like something horrific happened to them. And it affected his ability to to look after them. So he was doing support work. The first thing in his head was like, man, this is gonna like screw up on my Saturdays or something. Whereas it should have been like, oh, yeah, dang, that sucks for you, mate. You know, if there's anything I can do to help.
[00:33:24] Juan Granados:
The best of the person sometimes, if you can let someone you know, and you can tell that some dark humor will help the situation. Sometimes it can be good to do that. So anyway, as I was up, as I was pondering this one, I saw
[00:33:35] Kyrin Down:
saw saw a girl in the gym. And the first thing that came to my mind was like, I should go up to be like, hey, you're a bitch. What the fuck? Did you do that? What the fuck? I did not. No. So there's there's times where it's good not to listen to the immediate thing. Keep it back. I think it was because she was a bitch to me before, but in any case, finish up the rain sport Portuguese and switch to Spanish. This is going to be a stretch goal. Like, I've got a lot of reading to do If to finish the 2 Portuguese books. If I can do it, it'd be good. But if not, I don't have stretch. I don't have high hopes.
So Oh, this one would be kind of fun. So I'm going to do what I wanted for new mindset of enjoying the girl. Searching process.
[00:34:22] Juan Granados:
Hey, like that new mindset of enjoying the girl
[00:34:26] Kyrin Down:
searching process. So so in essence, what I've noticed over the years, and I was thinking, why is it such a struggle for me at times to meet to meet people, in particularly females, and it's because I think a lot of it is like, I just don't enjoy the actual process of doing it. So it's always given me anxiety. I mean, you know, I've conquered that in some sort of sense where I can just talk to people. Oh, the other one was going to the so so run club into organize that we're meant to do that. Yes. It doesn't rain. Wasn't on us. Yeah, but yeah, I know you mean. And you mentioned like, yeah, if you go there, you'll be able to you'd be able to talk to girls. And I can do that. But I've never particularly enjoyed the overall whole process of it. And I want to see if there's a mind a way I can kind of switch the mindset where it's like, this is fun, like, oh, this is a new opportunity to talk to someone rather than it being like, oh, am I gonna get rejected?
Is this gonna be like, feel bad if I say something stupid? So just trying to find a way of, I guess, making the process fun. I don't have high hopes. I think there's some things which are just inherently not fun for certain people. So I feel like it's going to be like that. But if I can find a mental way around it to do a trick, make it into a game, It's worth exploring that to see if I can do that. Yeah. Okay. And then this last one. So I've had this for a while prioritize the Morpheus. So YouTube say a slash AI backlog that I've got in YouTube and watch later by just doing one video daily, one video daily. So it's okay, if I don't even have to finish it. As long as I just start the video, listen for like 10 minutes or something. That's enough. That's good enough. That'll get me into the process of being like, Oh, you know what, this one's actually interesting. I'll listen to this all the way through. So that's that's my, my kind of rough little plan of trying to make a dent in that backlog. It's getting big.
Yeah. All right. That's it.
[00:36:39] Juan Granados:
December goals. I think for both of us, if we we get them, if we get 50% done, I think we'll be pretty happy. Yeah. Honestly, like, there's some I've got a lot of stuff. There's a lot of the like relationship, soul timing sort of things I'm gonna be prioritizing. Some of the fitness stuff is very easy. It's like it's just a doing as opposed to, really a stretch goal. So that's, that's fine. And a lot of the other stuff is more preparation in the full knowledge that December is going to be a hard month to try to
[00:37:05] Kyrin Down:
accomplish new things. I guess it's more solidifying a few things and enjoying the rest of the time. That's the reality. For sure. You mentioned fitness there. Yep. Fitness wise. Everyone, you've you're looking at these quads? You're looking at these calves. You're looking at these hamstrings.
[00:37:18] Juan Granados:
They're strong. They're getting strong. They're they're actually probably
[00:37:22] Kyrin Down:
I don't know if they're the strongest I've ever been. I haven't worked on legs for probably, like, the last 9 months. Really? 6 months. 7. Okay. Okay. It's probably 12. In any case, I have been doing a lot of legs recently. And the one thing which I'm actually feeling fantastic. I there was a guy here the other day. Ulrik Ulrik on hand, is Instagram handle. And he's the guy who taught Brendan how to get his one arm to like for 10 seconds. It's getting the one arm as a I don't know. I can say Brendan. Yeah. In any case, got 10 seconds on on his right arm, and I think maybe 8 on his left or something. So better than me for sure. And this guy was in Brisbane, just randomly Brendan's like, Hey, you want to go meet him? Like fuck yeah. So when I met him, I was practicing that day.
Best I felt I think they were the best handstands I've felt since before Brazil. So okay, months months now. Yeah. So basically like, rehabs the shoulder it's feeling really good. It's like 97 percent I have this little hamstring niggle that's probably like 99% I if I really concentrate I can maybe feel like a tiny little twinge in there and certain things but it's it's not like a daily reminder like it used to be. And I don't know what to put it down to. It's either now that I'm back here in Brisbane, I can be a bit more consistent. Everything is optimized. You know, there's no fucking bugs in Brazil biting me. There's no dirt on the floor, so I'm not going to do pancakes there because I don't want to get dirty ass and rip up my shorts and stuff because it's kind of like scraggly grounds a little bit gravely.
And the gym's real close, real nice, you know, I can go the exact time I want to do. So it could be just that part of the process is a bit more optimized. So I'm getting better results. Or what I think is more likely is I haven't lifted weights for a long time, especially anything upper body related. So when I was fixing the shoulder doing like a lot of front raises, basically, and I always thought, yes, it's important to have some resistance training, but I just figured calisthenics would be enough. If I do push ups, pull ups, muscle ups, you know, I'm getting the pushing and pulling movements that I need dips, that ab work, I figured that would be enough.
I'm thinking like, maybe I just needed some actual weighted. You know, I can do lots of pull ups now. They're not they're not hard and, and muscle ups. They're hard, but I'm not. I can only get a couple of reps of them. So I've been missing a lot of this kind of 8 to 12 rep range of, of going to max intensity. So I'm thinking that might have just been the reason I'm feeling so good now is just I've just got some some weighted stuff. Good to do. So that's probably going to be a fixture in my just fitness regime, the general going forward, having at least one day, or not even a day, but perhaps, you know, after a one arm handstand session, having 4 to 6 exercises of, you know, front raises or stuff with the legs like leg press or squats or deadlifts or something like that.
Probably not probably not. I've even forgot it.
[00:41:05] Juan Granados:
Chest. Bench press and stuff. Bench press. Yeah. Probably not beneficial. Probably not beneficial in all. But I was gonna say for you, probably it wouldn't be the chest so much that you would have strength. But if you get like wickedly strong triceps. Yeah, I mean, it would be really good. I need
[00:41:20] Kyrin Down:
stronger triceps and shoulders is Oh, the other thing with Ulrich was for the first time watching him because he's good. He's really good. But he's he's not as good as Miguel. I don't think and watching him. You know, he was training, he's, he admitted like, oh, man, I've been traveling, I've been teaching, I haven't really trained well. And he was just falling over a lot out of out of the warm arms that he was training. I was like, for the first time I went, holy fuck, I think I could get to that level. That was one where I went. I could just see. Yeah. Yeah. Like, okay, nice. I could see. Yeah, sure. He's still years ahead of me, but that that is doable. And yeah, that kind of gave him confidence. So I'm feeling good. I haven't got any points in my my system for the the system that you see on the screen if you're looking at the chapter on on a on the podcasting app. But it's Yeah, I'm hopeful that I'll start hitting some pbs and maybe a month or 2. Okay.
[00:42:23] Juan Granados:
Other 2. Yeah, and good to see. How about you? Me? Trying to be good. Trying to be good. I'm gonna we've we've, talked a lot in the podcast here at the main models around that we're gonna do a fitness podcast, I guess or a fitness show in this channel. Don't know if it'll be a specific side channel. Maybe it'll be off the back of the same mere models, but it'll just be a variation of a series, I guess. Yeah, we've been talking about that for a bit. So it's a bit sorry, there's that falls under the line of what's potentially to come and where I'm putting down. I guess putting money where the mouth is in some regards. I can ensure, look, I'll just say fitness for me has been awesome, but the itch has returned really heavy.
I set an annual goal of stabilizing my body get it ready. As you said men, I'm feeling awesome. I'm able to do all my movements really good. No longer do I have consistent soreness. I'm mixing up at the moment and it's getting bigger, but it's probably doing between 20 to 30 kilometers of running. I'm able to train all of the training I'm doing at the moment. Really great. I've had a really good chat with someone recently, who's a used to be a national swimmer in the US. He's over here at the moment. We had like just a massive chat about swimming which made me go, I want to get back into swimming as well. There's a lot of things. There's a lot of things. Fitness wise, so it's awesome. But, it's one of the things I need to discuss with Karen about this idea, to come in the 2025.
So more to come more to come.
[00:43:54] Kyrin Down:
Probably leave it there. Yeah. Any comments or anything? Yeah. Live chat. I've got Patricia in the chat as usual saying hi. Lucas h Branco. Lucas h Branco, go to his website. Says your boy papa is the best. So, yeah, go to go to Lucas's website. He's a good teacher as well if you need someone to for hand balancing or hand balancing related things. And yeah, we'll leave it here for today. We've got the musings on the psychology of investing coming up right after this. So hang around if you if you feel like it. But yeah, I think we'll leave it there for today, Wani.
[00:44:28] Juan Granados:
Thank you very much for tuning in. Again, if you want to share your monthly goals, if you want to support us, lots of ways to do that. Tune in to Musings Mandarin. We'll talk a lot more about finances and a few different things. But for now, be more lights, be well. Bye now. Go now.
