So, but when we have guests, we we run the stream on all of the platforms.
So, you get a treat. But for the second hour of the show, we will be cutting the streams because we'll be getting into some of the politics of the day. And, if you wanna catch that, you gotta go over to rumble.com/joeroos. Follow the show there or go over to your app store. Download the app. It's free. Sign up. It's free. And then, you can also follow the show there as well. And, It's a great platform. No censorship. They don't shut you down. You don't get strikes just for saying that you don't believe in the COVID shot. You know, the I should have been called that. The, mRNA DNA altering five g generating barcode that you've become. So, anyway, see, now I'll probably get a strike for that. No. We'll see what happens. Alright, folks. So with all of that said and done, tonight, we have with us, we have two incredibly talented because I've checked out their shows. I've checked out their podcast.

[00:11:12] Unknown:
Trying and it's not working.
[00:11:24] Unknown:
Is there there should be a little bit There we go. Hey. There you go. Hey, Joe. How are you today? I am doing great, Eddie. How are you? Living the dream. Living the dream. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. It's, it's it's really great to have you. You know, you mix you mix two of my favorite things in the world, paranormal and coffee.
[00:11:44] Unknown:
Absolutely. We we feel the same way. You know? You know, it's it's it's a wonderful pairing and, you know, people ask us, well, what brought that two together? I was like, well, come on. When you ghost hunt, you're usually at night, and what do you need to do to stay awake? Enjoy some coffee.
[00:11:59] Unknown:
What's your brew? Which one do you like? What's your fave?
[00:12:02] Unknown:
Honestly, it's I'm kinda partial to, Dutch Brothers. Okay. They have not so much the drive through because that, you know, whoever makes it makes a difference. But they do have it available where you can get the little k cups. Okay. So I've been kinda sneaking those in on Dawn. And because she does she likes to do these, like, the little mail in ones and stuff like that, the subscriptions Okay. Just to get me going. And some of them are pretty funky, but, I have my Dutch Bros kinda hidden away Nice. In the corner. That, and there's another one out of New Mexico called Waking Bear Coffee, which is absolutely amazing, and I highly suggest that one. But I've still got, like, two boxes of those left. So I kinda teeter back and forth between Dutch Bros, the k cups, and Waking Bear k cups. Nice. I I am,
[00:12:56] Unknown:
well, I used to be a McDonald's coffee guy. Oh, yeah. Well, almost only really because, I'm I'm not from Texas originally. I'm from New York. I moved Sure. I moved here about eight, ten years ago. And, when I was up in New York, it was, you know, Dunkin Donuts and all that stuff. There is no Dunkin Donuts within two hours of where I where I live. So Really? Yes. So, you know Wow. So the the closest thing to it would be McDonald's. And then, was a couple weeks ago, I was I was just reading some stuff and came across this article online that talking about how, the FDA actually allows in pre ground coffee, a certain percentage of cockroach parts. And I was like, yeah, you know what?
I I mean I knew that, you know, I knew that there were stuff like that. Yeah. You don't have to justify it, you know. I I don't wanna read about it. Just, you know, so I ended up Right. I ended up switching over to, to whole beans, and I grind my own coffee now.
[00:13:53] Unknown:
Sure. Sure. Well, another good one that I used to just live for was, believe it or not, Circle k. Okay. There was a couple stores that were local and they just had the best coffee and I don't know if there's Circle k around here. You know, I it's it's crazy because it's, you know, a convenience store and there's, like, millions of them everywhere. And, you know, everybody's paying $6.07, $8 for a cup of coffee, and I was going in for 99¢.
[00:14:20] Unknown:
Nice. And it was good. So, you know, who am I to complain, you know? Oh, absolutely not. I'd actually tonight, what I'm drinking here is, this is Lavaza, which is phenomenal coffee. This is like super it's funny because, you know, sometimes you you read the descriptions of, like, what the coffee is supposed to be or whatever it is. Whether it's a coffee, cigar, bourbon, whatever it is. Sure. You know? Oh, it's gonna have this flavor profile. It's gonna have this quality and texture to it. So this this is build, but yeah, right? But this this here is is build as like, has like a creamy kind of, on the palate. It's creamy on the palate, and it's,
[00:14:58] Unknown:
it's it's like a full roast. It's but you know something? It's really good. It tastes just like the description says on the on the packaging. Well, you'll have to send me that information. Oh, yeah. For sure. The the only thing wrong with what you're drinking is you're drinking out of that cup and not a creepy coffee's cup.
[00:15:13] Unknown:
So you need you need to give me your information, and I'll get your creepy coffee. I would do that for sure. Absolutely. And I would make sure I use it. Because Absolutely. I I I rotate my coffee cups. I have I have a whole bunch of different ones, and I needed a big one tonight. So I figured I got the the big big one. So There you
[00:15:30] Unknown:
go.
[00:15:32] Unknown:
Oh, man. So, ghost hunting. So I like, we would when we were chatting on the, on the on the little thing we got there. Right. You know, I mentioned that I I've had some experiences, you know, in in the course of my life. I when I was living back in New York, and then here in in the house that I'm living in right now, one of the more recent experiences that I had, I I I did a renovation on the house, after after I purchased it. That'll do it. After I purchased it, and and this is fun. I'm gonna I'm gonna show this to you. It's only it's like a thirty second clip, and I was watching this happen for a while before I said, I gotta record this. You know? Sure. So, I only got about thirty seconds of it, and it hasn't done it since. Hasn't nothing's happened, you know, anywhere near this. So what I'm gonna show you is, it's a, it's like an ice stamper.
Do you ever see those things? Okay. So it's an ice stamper, hadn't been used, and in in fact, when you see the video, it was much further back. It was closer to the back end of the, the island that it's on. Mhmm. And like I said, I just like, oh, crap. I gotta record this. So that's where I got it from the middle part there. But, yeah. So it was interesting. Well, let's roll it. Let's check it out. I've showed it to a few people, and and and and they don't believe it. But, now the background noise you're gonna hear is the TV, and I have a very noisy French Bulldog in the background. Sure. You're gonna hear some grunting and stuff. So here it is.
It was all the way in the back where the soda can is, when I first started watching it.
[00:17:20] Unknown:
Are you taking still shots? Or did you combine a video? Or how did you do this? No. This is this is video.
[00:17:26] Unknown:
Wow. I just stood there watching it with the with the phone. So because what it looks looks like is, like, still pictures. Mhmm. You take a picture, you move it, you take a picture, you move it, you take a picture, you move it. So that somebody else has said that too, but that was just a straight shot video. And that thing moved from where that soda can was Uh-huh. All the way down to that point. And that's where I I was like, I gotta record this. And start recording. That's awesome.
[00:17:54] Unknown:
That's crazy. I know shit I'm sorry. Can I say shit? Whatever you wanna say. Okay. I know some people don't like it. So, you know, shit like that happens all the time. We were in, Dawn and I. First, I have to apologize for her. We're moving at the end of this month. Okay. So we got a house. So she's running around doing the Dawn thing. You know, hopefully, she'll be in here sometime tonight. If not, next time we'll get her on. Oh, sure. We went to Milwaukee a couple weeks ago. And if you look on our website, creepycoffees.com, under things that we've done, there's pictures of where we've been. And we went to, Shakers Cigar Bar in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
And the reason we went there is that was Jeffrey Dahmer's favorite hangout. Oh, wow. Okay. You know, we got to go in there and seen the actual chair that Jeffrey used to sit on, and and we did some research on it and found out that it was owned by Al Capone and his brother. So there's a whole lot of paranormal shit going on in there that we can talk about later. But before we walked in the building, Don and I took a picture, kind of like a selfie, of ourselves across the street from Shakers where you can see us in the background. But on the picture, there's two little dots on her chin, and I wished I would have thought about it because I would have brought it up and showed you. Oh, yeah. And I took the picture on an iPhone. And if you're familiar with iPhones, you can press and hold the picture and it'll give you, like, about five seconds worth of video. Right. And on that five seconds worth of video, you can actually see these two dots moving up and down her face Really? Green. Like, you know, they were like eyeballs and kinda like squirrely and everything. And so from yeah. It was pretty crazy, and we didn't even realize it till we were inside, and we were waiting to go do, you know, the ghost tour and the whole nine yards. And I just happened to be playing with the with the pictures, and Don says, hey. Check this out. And she did it, and we both looked at it. She was like, you know, we'd, again, we didn't even realize it, and just by going back and checking it. So I totally believe that that moved on its own, you know, without a doubt. Oh, it's crazy.
Yeah. You know, things just happen that can't be explained, and you yourself said that you were doing, some renovation.
[00:20:18] Unknown:
Mhmm. And that's one of the big things that brings out the entities that are part of that home. Right. Exactly. And I purchased this home from the original owner. Well well, Hackwell, the estate of the original owner. The original lord passed away. So I'm only the second person living here.
[00:20:35] Unknown:
Right. There you go. You know, he doesn't want you fucking with his oops. He doesn't want okay. He doesn't want you messing with his stuff, you know. And one thing that I found with things like that is just tell him, you know. It's like, hey. I'm improving this for you and my benefit. Yeah. That's good news. Yeah. Yeah. The house we live in here is haunted, and we have shit happen all the time. Wow. It's to me, it doesn't phase me. I'm just like, come on. Give me some more. Give me something to look at. But Dawn, she'll freak out, and she'll like, oh.
[00:21:07] Unknown:
And it's it makes it for a fun night. It actually, you know what? It's it's it's it's it's a great talking point too. It's like, you know, you you have you have some folks over and say, hey, you wanna check out something really cool? Check this video out. You know? Yeah. Oh, yeah. I actually And what's even cooler is if you can get it to happen again Oh, I wish. Or some or something else. What I what I've done
[00:21:28] Unknown:
is to kinda freak her out and to prove that it's true is you can get little cat balls that light up with movement. Mhmm. And I've got, like, five of them set up around the house. So whenever an entity or whatever goes by, the lights will start to flash on it. Oh, wow. That's a good idea. And it's that's cool. They're, like, 99¢ each, and they're very sensitive. So, you know, if there is somebody in your house, you can put those out and and ask it questions. Say, hey, look, this moves like this, and if you're here and you wanna talk or you're pissed off because I'm in your house, set off one of the lights. Watch how fast them lights go off. I'm gonna try that actually. That's that's that's Yeah. That's pretty cool. I actually bought one of those, EMF detectors. And Sure. But,
[00:22:14] Unknown:
like I said, this house is it's an old house, and it you know, there's just like stray EMF everywhere. Yeah. Everywhere. So it is hard to it's hard to pin anything down. But, I also I also have a, one of those it's it's an app for the phone. It's it's an SLS Mhmm. App. And, so I had downloaded it. Now, I live I live, like, walking distance to a cemetery too, by the way. So Awesome. Yeah. I'm like I'm like surrounded by it. So, I I downloaded the app, and I had I was driving, and I was passing the cemetery, and I was like, let me just see what happens. So I pulled the car over, and, I I don't I was I was looking for the video, but it's it was they said it was a too big of a file to to upload. So, I I I pulled over, and if if if people don't understand what an SLS does, it gives you like a stick figure image of energy. Of what's in front of you. Yeah. Yeah. So it it it's kinda creepy when you think like I tested it out when when I first when I first downloaded it on my dogs, you know, and I just kinda pointed it at them and it had the outline of them in like little stick figure form. So, that's that's basically how it works. And so I pulled over by the cemetery, and I just, you know, to put the camera up, and I was just kinda scanning across.
And, I came about on on this one, headstone, and there was something standing in front of it. Like I saw the little stick figure thing, but it was small Sure. But it like super small. And I was like, oh, that's that's pretty neat. So I I stopped and I went back again to try to see if I could see it again, but then it wasn't there. So I was like, I wonder what that was. So I I pulled it down. The gates were open to the cemetery, so I went in to where it was, and it was a headstone for a child.
[00:23:59] Unknown:
I knew you were gonna say that. Yeah. Because that's That's crazy. Right? That I like I got goosebumps, dude. Sure. Yeah. It's there's so many things. I mean, we see, and there's so many things around us that we don't even know we're seeing it. You know, it's that's a perfect example. You drive by that cemetery probably almost every day Mhmm. And they're there. You know, they really are. What, what you might wanna do is get yourself what's called a REM pod. Yeah. There yeah. Get one of those and just go sit out in the cemetery and just start talking. And see what you got. And yeah. I mean, it's it's crazy. I mean, it it really is. Some of the things you'll come up with, it's, yeah, I mean, just stay away from the Ouija board. Never never never never Yeah. That Yeah. Go do a Ouija board. I I know. That's the juju right there. Oh, yes. And and I often wonder too because I when I was when I was younger, like I think I was in
[00:24:54] Unknown:
maybe, like, high school or something like that. A friend of mine threw a Halloween party, and he had the he had the Ouija board out there. And, like, what I remember is I I remember, you know, people were getting freaked out, you know, by bangs and knocks and all that stuff. I I was just a total skeptic, you know, and I'd so I just Sure. I just assumed that it was his his older brother upstairs, you know, just banging on things, just, you know, trying to spook everybody out. It's Halloween, got, you know, whole atmosphere thing going on there. But yeah. No. The one thing I I I will not mess with is is the Ouija board. And, Yeah. I I grew up in I'm from Cleveland originally, so there's a lot of spooks out there, you know, and a lot of crazy shit anyway. And,
[00:25:35] Unknown:
the people I was raised by my aunt and uncle, they were very strict Polish people that just came basically came off the boat. So they're very religious and everything. Mhmm. And it's kind of funny because they bought us a Ouija board, my sister and I, but we were never allowed to play with it. You know, it was in the closet, and we can open the closet and look at it, but, oh, no. Lord, no. Don't touch the Ouija board. Then wipe off it. Yeah. Exactly. So it's kinda like teasing us. So when as my sister and I got older, we would kinda like break it out and try to do things with it. And if you don't know what you're doing, don't mess with it. Yeah. Because if if you, you know, you can open a door and if you don't know how to shut it, you're it's it's bad juju. I just I don't have one in my home. I don't have a picture of one. I don't wanna see one. If somebody pulls one out, I just thank you, but I'm not interested, and I walk away. It's
[00:26:35] Unknown:
it's just not worth it, you know. Did you catch any of the movies, the Ouija move the Ouija movies?
[00:26:40] Unknown:
You know, Dawn and I, it's funny you asked that. We just watched them this weekend, this past weekend. And the first one was halfway decent. Mhmm. But the second one where they go and they kinda, like, do the backstory on it Yeah. That it it just wasn't worth, you know, we we both fell asleep and
[00:26:58] Unknown:
it yeah. But the first one was pretty good. Yeah. It wasn't bad. It really was. And I I'm I'm a firm believer in, you know, if nine out of 10 times the sequels just just dilute the entire story. There are some things that is not meant to be sequel.
[00:27:12] Unknown:
Right. Absolutely. You know, there's so many sequels that have ruined, you know, the franchise. Daredevil one ruined the franchise, you know. I mean, it's and The Exorcist. The Exorcist two was terrible. And every time they try to it just it just doesn't work. Three wasn't so bad.
[00:27:30] Unknown:
Exorcist three? Yeah. I I actually I gave it a I gave it a second watch, because, one of the I like I like I like Tubi TV service, because it's, you know, they have some of the best bad movies ever. Absolutely. It's like being young again on Cinemax without the nudity. Yeah. There you go. So so, so they they had it, but they had the director's cut available. So and it was, I mean, the quality was terrible because it's like they didn't even try to bring the edited out video up to quality. Up at least to match what was there. So so it looks like somebody had a like, they recorded it with a VHS camera, you know, and and put it together. That's
[00:28:17] Unknown:
that's just like Halloween three. Remember that one? Oh, yeah. The season of the witch, and then till more days till Halloween Halloween. Absolutely horrible. And if my sister's watching this right now, she's probably laughing, thinking the same thing. Because my sister's like a diehard, you know, Michael Myers fan. Yeah. Yeah. And both of us, we still every Halloween, we just like, why did they do this? You know, what why why why why?
[00:28:42] Unknown:
Oh, yeah. Yeah. I got you. So quest question for you. So how long have you been actually doing the, the ghost hunting?
[00:28:49] Unknown:
Ghost hunting, I've probably been doing it almost, god, since I've been 18 years old. So thirty years or whatnot. But I've never really done it full time and seriously like I'm doing it now with Dawn. It's always been just, you know, this place is haunted. Let's go. Okay. Let's go. And we would go and see what we can do. I never documented anything, never took it serious. I've spent a lot of nights in haunted hotels just because they said that it's haunted and you won't stay the night. And some we did, some we didn't. And so I think I can say professionally, I would probably say probably for about a year now. Okay. We've been kinda running things and it's just blown up that it's even though every you know, the paranormal area, it's flooded with, you know, ghost hunters and all this and all that. But very few of them, and I say this respectfully, have got it down to a science where they document it and, you know, try to give it to people, you know, like like we do. You know, you give a backstory, you show videos, you show documentation and proof and stuff like that. Most ghost hunters are just everyday people that wanna go out and get spooked. And I think it's great. I love it. And, you know, I really do. A lot of the best stuff that we've come across and we found have been from just our everyday ghost hunters.
[00:30:17] Unknown:
Yeah. I I I've never been on an official ghost hunt ever. Sure. You know, and that's something that I've wanted to do, and I'm, you know, I'm I'm eventually, I'm gonna step out and do it, but, you know, we'll we'll see. Right. Well, we're up here in Flagstaff, and this place is totally haunted.
[00:30:32] Unknown:
So maybe we'll bring you up, and we'll do a double show, your show, my show. Oh, yeah. That'd be nice. Scare the shit out of you. Alright. That that's good. I don't scare easy. You know? I I I have
[00:30:42] Unknown:
a former New York law enforcement here. I don't scare too easy. Well, I I I'd like to say I don't either,
[00:30:49] Unknown:
but, there's there's been some things up here. We we went on a Dawn and I were bored one day, so we went on what's called freaky foot tours or whatever, where they did a ghost tour around town. And we're pretty familiar with it. So, you know, but there was a few stories that we didn't know. There's this one hotel called the Weatherford, and we did an episode on it. I think it's like episode two or three, where there's a little boy in this hotel that died when he was young named Algeron. And through this whole tour, I was obsessed with this kid, Algeron, because I couldn't say his name. I was saying Alderaan and Alderaan, and they're like, no, this ain't Star Wars, yummy. It's, you know It's exactly what I was thinking.
Yeah. Exactly. You know, because that was stuck in my head, Alderaan, you know. You know, they're gonna blow up the city, you know. But it this little boy was trapped in there, and there's a story. I don't wanna ruin it for anybody, why he's there and some of the other stuff. But I kept asking the tour guide, what the hell was his name again? And I just got so obsessed with it that every stop was, what was his name again? What was his name again? Algeron. Algeron. Algeron. And I I think the guy was getting kinda tired of me asking. So at the end of the tour, Don and I, we get in and we we come home. And all of a sudden, Don walks into the bedroom and those little cat balls start going crazy, just going nuts for no reason whatsoever.
I would walk in the bedroom and they would stop. You know, I would go out, they'd go on, you know, type of thing like that. So the TV started screwing up too. The volume started going up and down, and the channels were changing Oh, wow. And those lights were flashing. And I've I'm a firm believer that Al Jiran followed us home because he thought I was making fun of him or his name or whatever. And I literally when the lights were those balls were flashing, I just came out and I said, look, Algeron, if that's how you say your name, I meant no disrespect. I'm just wanna learn about you. I wanna know your story, and I'm sorry if you took offense to it. And as soon as I said that, everything stopped. Wow.
And it got quiet in the house, and Don looked at me and turned around and went in the bathroom, shut the door real quick. I probably I probably would have done something similar to that. Yes. Yeah. But I mean, it it happens. You know? You hear all the time about spirits that will cling on to people, and it's the same thing like with the Ouija board. If you don't know how to close it out Mhmm. You're leaving it open. And I I firmly believe that's what I did. I left the door open for Algeron, and for whatever reason, I offended him or upset him, and he was gonna come and make my night a living hell. And so, I mean, one thing I've learned doing this is always be respectful and apologetic because they were once human too. Yeah.
[00:33:57] Unknown:
Ghost were people too.
[00:33:58] Unknown:
They were. Yeah. That's like I've got a t shirt, and we sell them too that says future ghost on it. So
[00:34:06] Unknown:
Nice. That's good. I I like that. We see I like I like stuff like that, because like I Sure. I just I just designed a shirt, for the show, because at one of the very early episodes, I I made a comment that, you know, I I I tell people I have rabies just just so they leave me alone, you know. Sure. So I made up a shirt that says I have rabies. Nice. So I had I just so I just I just had that made up, so it's up on so if you're interested in in checking any of those out to the audience, there's a little button on the bottom of your screen that says shop. Just click that shop. It'll take you right over to it, and you could get yours for $28.95.
[00:34:41] Unknown:
So Also, creepycoffees.com,
[00:34:43] Unknown:
we have t shirts and coffee cups there too. Yep. And And we get actually, we have we'll have all of your information in the show notes, so people will be able to track you track you down for sure. Awesome. Yeah. Make sure I get your information when we get done, and I'll get Yeah. I'll send you some swag. Nice. Alright. Sounds good. So what was the the, the scariest place you've you've done an investigation in?
[00:35:07] Unknown:
I would probably say this has been some years ago, Mansfield, Ohio at the actual penitentiary that was there. And we if you go online and you look up Mansfield Penitentiary, it start I think it was built at the turn of the century or right around there, and it it was opened until the mid eighties when they closed it down. And there's just all sorts of, paranormal activity because there's, you know, obviously, it's a penitentiary, so there's violence in there or there was. And I would say that was one of the places that made the hair on my back, Well, not my back, but my neck kinda, like, stand up and tingle.
And if anybody ever gets a chance or wants to go, I highly suggest going to that one. That and believe it or not, when we went to Shaker's Cigar Bar in Milwaukee a couple weeks ago, that was pretty high on my list too. And it it was kinda funny because none of the spirits would talk to me at all because I want them to, you know. It's like, come on. Tell me something. Give me something. And they wouldn't talk to me. But the minute dawn would get up, the lights would start going off and shit would start happening, and it was crazy. There's Mansfield right there. That's the place right there. And that's the that's the place where Shawshank Redemption was filmed at. Right. Oh, that's where I know the name from. Okay. Yeah. Shawshank was there and also, a Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell movie.
Tango and Cash was filmed there. Oh, that I did. Okay. Yeah. There's there's a couple other ones too. If you look on if you watch Tango and Cash towards the end, you'll see a big picture of, like, the Russian president up on the wall and stuff like that. That's still there. Where Brooks Hadlin hung himself from Shawshank Redemption was in there. The warden's office was in there. So there's there's a lot of history to that place, not just the ghosts, you know, and the spirits.
[00:37:08] Unknown:
Yeah. 1867, State of Ohio. The, state of Ohio began seeking an ideal place to build a new intermediary penitentiary. The hope was for the state to have a prison to serve as a middle ground for young inmates convicted of crimes too serious for boys' schools, but not serious enough for the higher security prison in Columbus. As it turns out, the town of Mansfield had just a place of formal civil it's a civil war training camp. Just north of just north of town, it was it was begging for redevelopment. Finally, in 1886, construction of the new prison in Mansfield began. I think that was a historical marker that's at the site. Yeah. That's interesting. Wow.
[00:37:42] Unknown:
Yeah. Check check it out. Look into it. There is so much information. The reason I'd haven't done anything on that is just because it's flooded with everybody else that's done it. You know, I kinda try not to redo what's already been done a million times. Look at that. But it is so interesting. Yeah. And it's it's all there and it's you you can you can either do the daily tour, which I think runs from, like, 09:00 to 05:00 or whatnot. And then on the weekends, they have the overnight tours. And especially during Halloween, they have them. And, oh, it's just so much fun. So much fun. We've we're booked to do the Alcatraz tour in October, where we're gonna stay the night on Alcatraz Island and do the same thing. And I'm so excited about that. That should be interesting.
Yeah. I've been there so many times and never on a standpoint for what we're doing now. But now I'm gonna take all the toys with me, the little lights, and let's go. Let's go, baby. Let's go.
[00:38:45] Unknown:
Yeah. You know, and it's like, like I got I got two stories I wanna tell you eventually. We'll get to it in a minute. But, you know, having the right equipment to do the job is important. So EMF detectors, REM pod you said Yeah. The cat balls.
[00:39:05] Unknown:
Cat balls, and then you've got your dividing rods, which are very important. And you know, if to get set up as an entry level, if anybody's listening that wants to do it, you can go on eBay or Amazon and type in ghost hunting kit, and they're already packaged together for about a $130. You'll get a small little recorder, a little voice recorder. You'll get your EMF meter. You'll get a a handy dandy ghost hunter's flashlight, you know, and, you know, the EMF and the rim pod and all that already packaged up for you. And, you know, when everybody you know, a lot of questions I get or the question I get a lot is, how do I start? I'm like, well, get just go on and get on eBay and get an EMF reader and just go like you were saying, go sit in the cemetery.
Mhmm. Don't talk. Don't say nothing. Just sit there and listen. You know, you'll be surprised. You'll start hearing voices whether they're in your head or they're actually real, and it will open up doors for you. And like me, eventually, you'll become obsessed with it. You know? It's like, I can't wait for the next one. Let's go. Let's go. You know? The end of this month, Don and I are supposed to go up to Portland, and we're gonna go do the Shanghai Tunnels, which, if you get a chance, look at those because that's where back during, early nineteen hundreds and stuff like that, they would get the less, wanted people, I guess, you can call them, the Dregs of Society, and they would bring them into bars and get them drunk and doped up, and they would open up trap doors and they would fall in.
And that's where the word Shanghai came from. And they would take them through the tunnels while they were passed out and put them on a ship, and as the ship would go out to sea, they would be waking up. So the captain bought these people and he would make them sign to be to pay for their passage to work on the ship, and if they refuse to do it, then you're a stairway over the side you went. You know? And that's how Shanghai happened. And there's so many stories. Even Jack Osborne, I think it was to show that he did paranormal files or something like that, Went and did an episode on them as well. And it's there's so much history and so much that's that's crazy. I'm I'm excited about that. We're going to Ireland later this year that I I just cannot wait to go chasing leprechauns. Gonna go kiss the baloney stone?
Yeah. I'm just so excited. You know, they're always after me lucky charms. And it's yeah. Then we've we've got so much going on that if you look on our website, you know, you'll see it's a topic that's is going on, and we've got a list of everything. And if anybody of your listeners are are close to where we're going, please come out. Hang out with us, man. We'd love to talk with you and take you on a ghost hunt. Let's see if we can't scare the shit out of you, you know? Nice.
[00:42:03] Unknown:
What do you think about all these shows though that are out there that, you know, some some of them are really like, which show was it? The name just flipped out of my head. There was a show that it just seemed like every single show, there was this overwhelming amount of activity in every place they went, you know. And how much of that stuff do you think is real? How much you think that stuff is staged?
[00:42:28] Unknown:
Well, when it first came out with Ghost Hunters, with Grant, and I can't remember what the other guy's name was, that I believe was all real. But then it turned into a money machine. Yeah. And like we had talked about earlier, the this is so diluted with people that once Hollywood and everything realized they can make some money off of it, they kinda went overboard with it. There's so many things that have been debunked and so many shows. I know the show you're talking about. There were I can't think of the name of it. Paranormal Files or something like that, but they did had, like, three seasons and there was a guy with tattoos that led this group of people then went in and excuse me, every place they went to was haunted and shit was flying and whatnot. Yeah. And they eventually proved him that it was wrong and it was it was all set up. And so I'm sure I would say on the TV shows, if it's a reputable person like Jack Osborne, I would believe it, you know, 100% wholeheartedly.
But if it's somebody like, you know, the small group out of Groton, Connecticut that's trying to get a TV show, then I I kinda feel that a lot of it is made up just because they wanna get the attention Yeah. And they wanna get that contract on the TV. So I I kinda take the TV shows with a grain of salt, and I laugh. And I get a lot of ideas form, you know, of where we wanna go and what we wanna do. Like, I do believe no matter who you are, if you go to where the civil war was fought, you're you're gonna find some shit. Yeah. Yeah. Whether you want it or not, you're gonna find it. You know, what I tend to believe more are people that are just everyday people. Like, I'll use the Weatherford as an example again with Algeron.
They say that, you know, the people that work there won't mention his name because he'll make their night a pain in the ass, and I tested that theory. I went in there several times and I've asked the desk clerk, hey. Where's Algeron? You know, where do you normally see him? And they're like, oh, we don't talk about that. We don't talk about that. Are you guys staying here? You know, we don't talk about that. So, you know, I I found out that the most truth comes from the average, you know, everyday person. And what you believe on TV is, you know, it's just like the movie The Conjuring.
Is all that real? I don't know. It's a good movie, but
[00:44:58] Unknown:
And and, you know, it's a it's a it's a good movie. It's it's, you know, has has a few good scares in it, and then the fact that it's based on, you know, true events with the with the Warrens who, you know, they're reputable,
[00:45:11] Unknown:
you know? Yeah. But, you know, there's even stuff coming out about them, and it's sad because they've passed away too. Yeah. So they can't even defend themselves. It's like, yeah. How are you gonna defend yourself? You know, you've got all this to show and everything. And I think it's sad, you know. Just let it be, you know. Let us let us weird people or creepy people, you know, in the dark, let us enjoy it, you know. Why do you wanna take it away from us? Yeah. Yeah. Exactly.
[00:45:38] Unknown:
I was watching a few weeks ago. There was a show, it was on it was on Tubi, of course. Zach Bagans had a has a a show, a movie out called, Demon House. Okay. Have you have you seen that one? I haven't seen it, but I've heard of it. Yeah. It's about the house in, in, Indiana that he purchased Okay. That he purchased sight unseen, because of all the the alleged paranormal activity that goes on in the house. And, apparently, that's where he had such he had such a negative encounter while he was there toward the end of his before he had the house bulldozed to the ground Mhmm. Destroyed that it permanently messed up his vision. So now he has Wow. What is that called? But they had, like, they got to wear those special prism glasses.
It it it's something I forget what the what the actual condition is called, but they have but he has to wear prism glasses now. And, where he hadn't had to before. And I I remember I used to watch his show when when he would had it on a travel channel of all places, you know, which of course, you know, the travel channel makes you think that this this might not Well, that's where all of them started if you remember back, you know, Ghost Hunters started on travel channel too. I thought they were on the sci fi channel.
[00:46:51] Unknown:
No. I if I'm not mistaken, they started on Travel, and then they went to A and E. And then after they got canceled on A and E, then they went someplace else. I don't Oh, okay. You know? But now there's
[00:47:03] Unknown:
so many offshoots of that. It's it's hard to keep up with. It it is. It's and like you said, it's it's just the feel is saturated now, and it's it's it's hard, to to currently gain any footing in it. But,
[00:47:15] Unknown:
Right. But, you know, the thing about that is if you're really interested in it, you're gonna find legitimate people. Yeah. You know, because it's just like you and I talking right now. You know, it's who knew about us until, you know, we came on there. And we're legit, you're legit, you know, type of people. And word-of-mouth gets around, you know. If you're if you're fake just like as a person, you know, if you're a fake person, people are gonna know it, you know. And, you know, that's it's your name. If that's what you wanna be known for, then so be it. Me, you know, if I get scared so bad I shit myself, I'll tell you. Dude, man, I ran out of clothes. I was so scared, you know. Yeah. Because it's it's part of the you know, the thing to me, it's part of the excitement and the fun is I want to be scared. I want, you know, that that, yeah, adrenaline rush. And I'm not too thrilled about losing a pair of Levi's,
[00:48:13] Unknown:
but if it happens, I'm not gonna lie about it. Of course not. I mean, that that's why I like, you know, everybody that I know, they say, put all you watch is horror movies. All you that's all you do. It's horror horror horror. Well, yeah. I know. I like it because it's it's some of it's so some of it's so unrealistic and dumb that you just laugh at it. But but every now and then, you get something that you say, well, you know, something that that that could really happen.
[00:48:34] Unknown:
Yeah. Here's the here's a movie for you. I don't know if you've seen it yet or not. But, my uncle, Gio, told me, it's called, Zombie Beavers.
[00:48:44] Unknown:
Yes. I've seen that. Have you? Okay. Then yeah. You wanna talk about bad movies? Yes. That's a bad movie. Very bad movie. But they're still fun as hell to watch. They are, absolutely. And I've been on this kick where I've been watching, on Tubi, of course. I've been I've been watching, old Italian giallo. Oh, okay. You know, the the and, you know, the worst acting ever, worst Right. Quality ever. But for for some reason, I put it on and I sit there and I'm like I just can't I just can't took away. I can't stop watching it because it's so bad. You know? And It's just a car crash. You know? Yeah. Or it's like they said about Cabbage Patch Kids. They're so ugly. They're they're so ugly. They're cute. Right. You gotta adopt one. Yeah. Absolutely. So the same thing that the the movies are so terrible.
But, but like, Barbara Steele movies and things like that, I know I love watching that campy stuff. It's a lot of fun. But, it but it's it's just Have you ever have you ever watched the channel Shudder?
[00:49:45] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. Actually, I have. They've got a lot of good b movies on there too. Yeah. They did. Prom night and sleepaway camp and, you know, those early eighties slasher movies. Yeah. Yeah. Those are the That were so bad that they're great. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly.
[00:49:59] Unknown:
What what did I see recently that was really creepy as hell? It was I think it was was it 31? I don't remember that one. It's a movie called 31, and it's about people that get abducted, and they get put into this like maze that they have to figure their way out of, and it only happens on Halloween. And there are like these three extremely wealthy people that are that like are paying these contract killers to like roam the halls of this maze, tracking these people down, and just picking them off one by one. It's Wow. It's really good. What's her name is in it? Sherry Moon Zombie or something like that. Oh, really? Yeah. Okay. So their acting is quality. Total quality.
And who else is in it? Oh, gosh. What what is his name? Why did it just flip that in my head too? He played doctor Loomis in the new Halloween movies.
[00:50:55] Unknown:
Oh, okay. I know who you're talking Malcolm, not Malcolm. Yeah. Malcolm McDowell. Yeah. Malcolm McDowell. There you go. Yeah. So so he's in it, and,
[00:51:03] Unknown:
there's there's a whole bunch of like like character. I feel like but if you see them, you're like, oh, I know who that is. I mean, I've seen that before. Yeah. Yeah. But creepy. Yeah. Just, like, freaking creepy. Not a ghost story like that, but but it just it's just creepy.
[00:51:17] Unknown:
You know? Right. And it's called 31? Called 31. Yep. Thirty one. I'll have to check it out. So I got a question for you. Shoot. What was the scariest movie or the movie that freaked you out the most?
[00:51:29] Unknown:
Well, there there are different stages
[00:51:32] Unknown:
in this. Of creepiness?
[00:51:33] Unknown:
Well well, age wise. Because my parents thought it was a good idea to take me see Jaws when it came out, and I was only like six years old. You know? So I I so I I I never went to the beach after that Sure. Until Sure. I think I was in my teens, my late teens, and even then I was skeptical. I just didn't wanna get anywhere near it. Sure. So that that kinda creeped me out. And I had nightmares. Do you remember the part in Jaws when, when the the when the shark went into the estuary? And Mhmm. The the kids were out there on their on their boat, and their lines were all fouled, and they were trying to untie them, and the guy in the rowboat was pulling up, and the shark got off. The boy scouts out there doing their swim test? No. No. This was after. This is, this is after the Kitner kid was killed. Okay. So so the the shark hits the boat, knocks the guy off, and you don't see anything. All you see is the blood in the water and all that stuff, and then they have one shot of the guy's leg just floating down to the bottom.
Okay. You know, that haunted me for, like, I was I was terrified of that,
[00:52:38] Unknown:
as a as a six year old. You know? Sure. I think I was about seven or eight when I seen that too, so I was pretty young. Yeah. But I loved it. I was just like, yeah. Get him. Yep. You know, every time you'd hear that,
[00:52:51] Unknown:
I just I just thrived on it. I know. My and my my my my dad, when, when I was a kid, he's he knew that that terrified me, so he would purposely do that. Like, he'd like, I'd I'd be in bed and he'd be standing behind the wall going, you know? But, and then of course, there's The Exorcist, man. I I I I watched that I watched that, and it really creeped me out because I believe in that stuff. That I think that that stuff can absolutely happen. And,
[00:53:23] Unknown:
See, that's one thing, not to interrupt you, but that's one thing that I don't mess with is demonology Yeah. And the demons. I've had a couple people here in Flagstaff say, well, we're certified demonologists and blah blah. I'm like, well, good for you. You have fun with me. Wanna hang out. Yeah. I mean, you know, send me pictures, but I'm not going with you. At Teliasideas, I said hello, but let's leave it there. Yeah. You know? I have I'm I'm doing this for fun, not for, you know, to be chased home by some demon. You know, I got bad enough luck as it is. I don't need any more help. There you go. But, but when I saw Exorcist,
[00:53:58] Unknown:
The Exorcist, I that scared me, like, to death. Like, I I Yeah. I sat there like this through most of it, and I couldn't actually watch it again until I was much older. Sure. You know, that was like, alright. I gotta get over this, and I gotta sit down and put this on. But, yeah. I mean, not much really else else scared me like that. But I do I do wanna tell you this these two stories though. This this is this is interesting. Okay? So, when I lived back in New York, the last house that I purchased in New York, again, another estate sale. I have this thing with estate sales. So, I never realized that. That's funny.
That's funny. Two two of the three houses that I've owned have been from estate sales. That's that's funny.
[00:54:42] Unknown:
So you're a closet ghost hunt type of house. I guess so. Yeah. Yeah. I guess so. So,
[00:54:46] Unknown:
my wife at the time, we we were setting up the house. The kids were out, and it was just the two of us in the house, and we knew the story. We knew the back story of the house. We we knew the whole thing. But we were up in the bedroom, and, we we were just, like, just pulled out the sheets. We were making the bed, and I was on one side, she was on the other, and windows were closed. We had the AC on. It was the middle of summer, so it wasn't like, you know, outside noises or anything like that. So we we pulled the fitted sheet around the bed, and I was putting on my side, she was putting on her side, and clear as clear as you and I are speaking right now, heard a woman's voice say, who is that?
Just like that. So much so that I stopped, she stopped, looked at me, I looked at her, and and she was like, did you say something? I said, no, did you? She's like, no. She goes, but you heard something, right? I'm like, yeah. She goes, what did you hear? No, what did you hear? You first, you tell me. Yeah. Well, because my thing was, I know what I heard. I just wanna be here Right. Know that you heard the same thing I heard, and you're not making it up. Right. Or you're just gonna say, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's what I heard too. So we both said it at the same time. So we did a count of it. Alright. One, two, three. We both said it, and that that scared the both of us. We were like, alright.
[00:56:14] Unknown:
Yeah. I'm moving forward now. Yes. Did anything else happen after that? Or Yeah. We,
[00:56:20] Unknown:
I was I was alone in the house, and I was, unpacking some glasses and cups and things like that. And the way the kitchen was designed, like the sink was by a window that went out face the driveway, and then to my right, there was the stove and then there was like a counter space, so almost like a u shape. Right? Mhmm. And, so I'm I'm at the sink, and I'm washing the cups and stuff that I just took out of the, out of the box. And I I open up the cabinet, and I go to put the glass up there, and I put it down, and they shatters in my hand. Just like that. Wow.
Okay. Did did you do any research on that? No. I know I at the time I didn't think of it, but when I But a few days later, I was in the kitchen again, at the sink, and for no reason whatsoever, the glass on the front of the stove, on the oven, shattered. So I was like, I didn't think anything of it. I'm like, but that's weird because I didn't, like I didn't drop anything, nothing hit it. I'm not doing anything. I'm just standing here. So I I bought new glass, I replaced it, I put it on. Three days later, again. Wow. That's pretty crazy. So the the previous owners, daughter lived a few houses away.
So I saw her outside one day, and I asked her, I said, hey, so when you were when when your parents were here, and she was like, well, my parents, they built the house. I said, okay. So she was so you're like the second family to live there. I'm like, oh, okay. Well, that makes sense. Kinda like where I am now. And then she I said to her she goes, why? I said, well, I don't know. Just, you know, did your mom die in the house, or did she did she did she pass with, like, at a nursing home, hospital? She goes, oh, no. No. She she passed in the house. Okay. And and where?
She up in her bedroom. I said I said that the one in the back of the house? She goes, yeah. Yeah. The one that the the laundry That's the one you were putting the sheet on. Putting the sheet on. Yeah. And she was like, why? She's like, why? And so I said I said, because we were doing this and, you know, thought we heard something. Would you hear? And I told her, and she was like, she was, yeah, that would be my my mom would yeah. She she probably be very curious, you know, who you are, and, she goes, and then I said, well, then the stove broke, and she goes she goes, really the glass in the stove broke? I was like, yeah. She goes, you know what? She goes, when when my dad built rebuilt the kitchen, and put the stove there, she hated it there. She never wanted it there. She wanted it on the other side.
Wow. And I was like, That's crazy. Right. So now you know. Yeah. So that that was the Baxter in that. And then, in the basement of the house, it was almost like a finished apartment. Like, all we needed to really do was to put meters on it to make it a legal apartment, and it had a private entrance, you know, had everything. Sure. But at the at the very very front of the of the house, there was a little closet, very thin little closet. Inside that closet was the main drain for the house. Alright? Strange setup. Yeah. But that was the main drain for the entire house. And, I don't know. Every time I'd go over there, I would just feel like all the hair in the back of my neck would stand up. You know? Sure. And anytime I was down there, I always felt myself looking over in that corner.
Now, now I'm I'm a Christian. I'm a bible believing Christian, you know, and and and all that stuff. And I understand a little bit of something about the spirit world and and whatnot, you know, based on scriptures. And, I was I was talking to my pastor, and I said, hey, so about this. I was telling him a lot of stuff, and he was like, well, he goes, you know, Joe, he goes, if you really if you really carefully read the scripture, anything anytime that come across a devil or a demon or something in the in the scripture, it's always around warm wet places.
I was like, okay. He goes, so you're telling me that that here you have this closet where the where it's humid. You have the drain line going out. It's a it's a warm wet place. He goes, you might have some company. I was like, oh, okay. That may not be the company I want though. Right. But now check this out, and this, nobody believes me on this one. So I'm I'm I'm just gonna put it out there anyway, doesn't matter. Believe it, not believe it. I know what happened. So so I went down there one night, and, I say, you know, I'm gonna try something. So I took a bucket, turned it upside down, and I took my took my Bible, and I put the Bible on top of the bucket, and I just opened it up. Any pass didn't didn't matter, just wherever it opened, it opened.
And shut everything off, I went up to bed. Next morning, I went downstairs to the basement. The bucket was flipped over. The bible was on the other side of the basement. Wow. And the door was open.
[01:01:22] Unknown:
That's pretty compelling. I mean So See, I I'm I I believe it just simply because I've had shit happen to me that I can't explain. Mhmm. And that's one of those things, you know, you've got everything set up for the perfect storm.
[01:01:37] Unknown:
Exactly. Yeah. Now that that that that day, it was a it was a Thursday or something like that. So I I told I told my wife at the time, I was like, hey listen, why don't you and the kids go to your sisters for the weekend? She was like, what are you gonna do? I'm like, nothing bad. I'm just gonna do something. I'm gonna I'm gonna do something down in the basement. She's like, what? And I'm like, do you really want me to tell you? I'm gonna exercise this bitch. So she was like, so she was like, well you should. And I'm like, alright. Well, said this is what I did. This is what happened. I wanna I wanna further look into this. So she's like, I'm out of here. I'm gone. Sure. So she took the kids. Now, I had a little video camera, but it was one of those little CD cameras. Mhmm. And, or DVD cameras, and it had night vision on it.
Never had a cam my dad gave it to me. I don't know where he got it from, but, you know. Sure. So I I I that night, I shut down everything. All the power into the house. I mean, I shut the breakers, like not just the lights with it. I shut the break, everything. Right. You killed it. Yeah. I went to the back as far away as I could from the door, back up against the wall, and I sat there. I turned the camera on with the night vision, and I sat there all night just watching the door. Right. And nothing happened.
[01:03:03] Unknown:
Wow. Absolutely. How disappointing. Yes. You know, you had me going like, and and and the door didn't open. What? Nothing happened. I was so pissed.
[01:03:13] Unknown:
I was so pissed off. So I and then I was thinking, well, you know, maybe what I'll do is I'll I'll I'll set it up one night. I'll I'll do it again with but I'll put I'll put the bucket with the bible again, and I'll go back there and do it. But I ended ended up not doing it because,
[01:03:27] Unknown:
she got all bent out of shape about it, and she was like, I don't know what to mess with her with that stuff. We don't need that problem in our life again. Right. Right. I was like, oh, well, that's kinda how, you know, I feel about it when we go on ghost hunts and stuff because I want it to happen. I'm ready for it to happen. And because of that, I usually don't get a lot of interaction. But Dawn, because she she's there, but she's like, don't touch me. I don't wanna see nothing. I don't wanna hear nothing. Mhmm. And they all come flocking to her. It's it's awesome. So I just sit back and watch and enjoy. So do do you think that that,
[01:03:59] Unknown:
that some people are just more naturally receptive to supernatural activity like like
[01:04:05] Unknown:
Absolutely. Yeah. There's that third eye people talk about, and that's the paranormal and the hypersensitivity and, you know, whether or not you believe and they can see the future or tarot cards or whatever, that's a whole another game that I have no interest or desire to get into. But I can guarantee and verify for a fact that Dawn is very hypersensitive to things like that. We can walk into a room and she'll be like, there's something here or something's not right or this is going on or whatnot. And we'll go go around, and then later we'll find out that she was actually right Wow. Because I I I'm I guess I'm like a ghost nerd. You know? I I have to dig into it. I have to find out, and I won't sleep or rest until I do.
So but every time she's ever said something, it's it's always been factual. You know? It's like, the perfect example is at Shakers. She had the little the ghost and the dots on her face where nothing for me. And when we were up in the brothel area, she was with the little dividing rods. When I held them, nothing happened. When she grabbed them, they were going crazy answering questions. And so, yeah, I I truly believe there are certain people that do have that ability. I think a lot more people have it than they realize they do because like we said at the beginning, there's so much that goes on that we don't even realize it until we actually take a step back and look. Yeah. Like, wow, this doesn't make sense, or this doesn't make sense. So, yeah, I totally believe it. I, like,
[01:05:43] Unknown:
like, do you think that it's well, I don't know. I had a question I was gonna ask about that, but it's I'm not I'm not able to put it the the words together for it correctly. So make something up. It's okay. Do you think that do you think it's like, is that something that you that that that third eye type, experience you're talking about, is that something that you have to like, you think you're just born with it that way, or that's something you just develop over time?
[01:06:13] Unknown:
Honestly, and and I truly believe this, I think we all have that feeling because it's like everybody you talk to and you were in law enforcement, you said, so you know when you would go into a situation, something just didn't feel right. Correct. Yeah. You know? And that that's the same thing. You know, whether you chalk that up to coincidence or you nurture that to find out, When you nurture it, obviously, it's going to get bigger and you're gonna become more sensitive to it and whatnot, whereas to if you just, yeah, I just don't feel it just don't feel right. So I think we all have that. It all depends on how much you want to give to it and how much you wanna take. Or how much you've you've honed that that
[01:06:54] Unknown:
that gift
[01:06:55] Unknown:
over time. Exactly. Yeah. You know? So and it's just like now that you've gone by the cemetery and you did that, you've seen the little figure, after that, have you ever looked at the cemetery the same way again? No. Not at all. You know? Exactly. So now you know there's something there, and it you could just build off of that. And it's Yeah. It's it's a good it's a great thing when you let go of all of perceptions and, you know, all the nonsense and all the naysayers and yourself, you know. If you believe it and you think it, then who cares what anybody else says? Yeah. You know?
[01:07:32] Unknown:
Stupid question. Yep. Have you ever come across a haunted espresso machine?
[01:07:40] Unknown:
Stupid answer. No. Well, I'll I'll be honest with you. We have friends up here that they own, this restaurant called Stella's, and it's an Italian restaurant, and it's right downtown. Well, where their their building is at, it used to be the old city Hall. And they used back in the day, they used to, you know, take the cowboys and the criminals, and they would hang them literally right there. Wow. You know, right in their restaurant, you could see the rafters where the ropes went over and they hung people and shit all day. And there's been times when coffee will get spilled over or, you know, the coffee machine will rattle and shake. And so, yeah, sure. Why not? You know, it's I I'm waiting to find the elusive electric on a toaster, but, you know, as for, you know, a coffee machine or espresso, sure. You know? Absolutely. If that's where
[01:08:38] Unknown:
If that's where the entity wants to contact you, yeah, it's haunted. I think they'll use anything they can to to Absolutely. Especially if they're especially if they have a story to tell. Yeah. You know, I I don't I don't think, well, there are different types of haunts. Right? There's residual haunts, which is just, What hangs out and lingers on. Yeah. Something something that, like, it's it's like it's like a a a video just, you know, rewinding and starting over. Playing. Yeah. Yeah. And then and then you have the ones that are more interactive. And I think I think those are the ones that that we're talking about. We're talking, you know Yeah. Those are the best ones. Yeah. You that they have a story to tell. They want they want your attention, so they're gonna move and shake things to get your attention.
And, you know, I and and the more I think about it, the more I you know, the the more we talk about this stuff, man. I'm like, yeah. I'm I'm gonna grab my shit. I'm gonna go out to the cemetery later on, you know. I can see if I can sneak in. Do it. You see if I can sneak in there, you know. Yeah. Let me know what happens. I'm dying to hear. And if you come up with something good, guess what? Road trip. We're coming to Texas. Shit. Yeah. Come on down. But, that that well, that'll be freaking awesome, dude. That'd be a lot of fun. The what like one of the things that, like you said that, you know, you don't wanna bring stuff home with you.
I think that's one of the things that step that bothers me too. It's like, I don't wanna go into some place and, have something kinda latch on. Is there anything that that people can do before they go into the into like a ghost hunt to kinda protect themselves from it? Is there is is there like any
[01:10:18] Unknown:
like, prayers or anything like that that you guys do? All those rituals and everything. I'm myself personally, I what I've learned over the over to over the time is I'm just very respectful, and I've learned to, when I'm there, introduce myself. I'll be like, hey. I'm Eddie. I'm just here to talk and listen, and I mean nothing or no harm or no disrespect. And I don't really have that problem. I did have that, like I told you earlier with Algoron, and I knew right off the bat that I had to do something. So that's why I apologized and I set the story straight, and everything stopped from there. But my my my advice is just be respectful.
Understand that they were once people. They had feelings. They had a life which they no longer do. And when you deal with people that have been murdered or in a brutal way have passed away, that there's a lot of anger there sometimes, and you have to understand that and respect it. And I've always said that at the end of everything, I close the door, you know. Thanks for your time, you know. I hope I didn't disturb you, and we'll talk next time, but don't come with me. And I just put it out there and knock on wood, I probably just jinxed myself, but, you know, it's worked up to this day. And, you know, just like you would talk like you and I, there's a mutual respect and we're just talking like man to man. Yeah. Same thing with the spirits, you know? There's why would you treat them any less? You can't see them if they wanna fuck with you. Can you imagine?
[01:11:56] Unknown:
Yeah. That's that's that's the other thing too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They've got the upper hand. That's and that's kind of like you think that's kind of a, you know, we're we're guys, we could we could talk like this. Just that creepy feeling that, you know, you're you're with your you're with your loved one in a Right. In an intimate kind of way. And to think that there's somebody watching over your shoulder. I I've thought about that a lot. I'm sure some people like that. You know, I'm sure there are some people who who are into that stuff. You know, I personally am not, but
[01:12:25] Unknown:
you know. I my theory is a, hey, man. If the if you're in the afterlife, if this is your excitement, pull up a chair. Go for it. You know, you're you're yeah. You're welcome to watch because I don't know you're there. So Just don't lend a hand somewhere.
[01:12:40] Unknown:
Oh, no. No. No. No. No. No. Let's not let's not do that for sure. So, in dealing with, like, people who are skeptic. Right? When they when when you get onto, onto a a location and you can do an investigation. You know, because I'm sure sometimes you're gonna come across people that, you know, somebody called you to come in to do this investigation, or somebody's asking you to help them with this situation. Not everybody in that we'll set we'll use a house as an example, like a TV show thing. Sure. Not everybody's a believer. Not everybody is is willing to acknowledge the the paranormal.
So how do you how do you how do you handle the the the the skepticism that is probably getting thrown at you while you're trying to do your investigation? Like, what do you do? You know, I I absolutely love it when people question that because
[01:13:31] Unknown:
usually by the end of the night, they're they're not they're still questioning, but they can't explain what happened. They're a little more receptive. Yeah. And my thing is it's like, well, if you can tell me why this is doing that and, you know, everything, I'll take the scientific answer. You know, I have no problem at all. But I'm just showing you what I have. If you don't like it and you don't believe it, that's fine. This ghost is gonna follow your ass home, not me. You know? But I I really I I just put it out there and, you know, people can make out what they wanna make out. I'll give my opinion and my theories behind it and what I feel and what I've seen in my research.
And if that's not good enough, then, you know, I'm okay with that. You know, I wish you well. God bless. And, you know, call me next time and pay for my ticket to come back. Let let let the let the spirits convince you. Right? Right. Yeah. So I I don't have a problem at all with it. What's your,
[01:14:34] Unknown:
alright. So I I already asked you about what's the scariest place you've you've done. What place that that you've investigated that has left its mark on you as far as just, like an emotional imprint or, just some place that you that you think about on a regular basis that you that you really wanna kinda get back into?
[01:14:58] Unknown:
Well, this it's I've told this story last night too, and it seems every time this question, I tell the same story. When I was younger, a teenager back in Cleveland and Ohio, you know, I was in a band, and I used to hang out at my friend, Mike. Yeah. Go figure. Right? Look at him. Yeah. I was in the band, hello. And, we used to go hang out at my friend's house that they were kinda well-to-do, but their his parents bought an old turn of the century colonial home in Ohio that was three, maybe one, two yeah. It was three stories including the attic. Well, the bottom floor was where his parents stayed and everything else down there. And the top two floors, the Second Floor was back in the day, the servants quarters. They would live up there, the maid and the gardener and all that other crap. And then above that was the attic where we used to have band practice. Okay.
Well, my buddy kept telling me the story about the house is haunted blah blah blah. And I'm like, dude, don't bullshit a bullshitter, you know. So he told me the story that one day the maid was well, there were three brothers that owned the home, okay, back in the day. And they had a maid that each one of them was having a sexual relationship with that none of the other ones knew about. Nice. Well, the story goes that she got pregnant by one of them, and one of the brothers found out. And when confronting her, found out that she was sleeping with all three of them. So they don't really know who the baby's father was, if she was indeed pregnant. So he flipped out. He killed her in her bedroom, which was at the bottom of the stairs to the attic where we used to practice at.
Then after he killed her, he went downstairs and did the same thing to his two brothers because he was so jealous. So he murdered the maid and his two brothers Wow. For sleeping with, you know, who he thought was he was in love with. He sat there for a while. I think it was, like, twenty four to forty eight hours, they say. And then he kinda went mentally mad. And in the backyard, there's an old barn that's still there to this day that he went out there and he threw a rope over the the rafters, and he hung himself because he just couldn't deal with it. So there was, you know, the murder suicide and and the whole nine yards. So anyway, fast forward back to now where we're we're up there in the attic and we're having band practice and and everything, and we start hearing some banging and some noise making and everything down once one deck below us. And, you know, I turned to my buddy. I'm like, dude, what the hell is that? He goes, oh, that's just the maid. She's kinda restless. And I'm like, man, you really need to stop this bullshit. He goes, no. Go look.
So what I did is I looked down the stairs, and as I looked down the stairs, you can see right into where the maid's room was where she was killed. And as God is my witness, I seen a shadow figure walk across Wow. And the curtains start to move. And I'm like, no way. This isn't happening. So I ran down the stairs, and there was nothing in the room. There was no air conditioning or heat on. The windows were shut, and the curtains were still moving. So I turned around, and my buddy started laughing, you know, and he's like, just wait. Just wait till tonight. And I'm like, why? What's gonna happen tonight? He says, you'll see. You'll see. So now I'm starting to believe and I'm I'm now I'm getting goosebumps, you know, and I'm starting to freak out. Yeah.
So we're watching TV and it's, like, about 01:00, 02:00 in the morning. And he says, Eddie, go look at the barn. And I'm, like, why? What am I gonna what am I gonna freaking see in the barn? You know? So keep in mind, we're on the Second Floor, and I'm looking out the window and there's a barn. The old barn is still there with the doors open on it because they never used it. And behind the barn, there's an old streetlight that was there. And the way the streetlight hit the barn, it looked like from the rafters, there was a rope swinging with the body at the end of it. And I turned to him and I'm like, dude, really? He says, I'm telling you, this place is fucking haunted. Wow. So he ruined it for me because now every time I went and stayed the night over his house, I never slept because I was always looking for freaking ghosts and shit.
But that's the one story that still sticks in my mind and sticks to my head. And clear as day, I I can picture going down them stairs and seeing the curtains move and looking out. Every time I've gone back to Ohio, I haven't been back in a few years, but I always go by Mike's old place, and the barn is still standing. And for whatever reason, I just won't go past there at night. I Wow. It's but
[01:19:51] Unknown:
Now now you said so we said that that Dawn is Mhmm. More sensitive to, to the things in the environment around her. Has the and I wish she could I wish she was here so she could she could answer the question for herself, but, maybe you know, maybe she maybe she told you. Has there was there ever a time where you were in a location that she felt that there was presence there, but and possibly even took on some of the personality of that? Not necessarily possessed or anything like that, but just like more empathic, I guess is the word. You know, where she actually could feel the emotions of of whatever the spirit was that was there, whether it was sad, or happy, or or angry,
[01:20:34] Unknown:
and I I know exactly what you're saying, and it yeah. It did happen. Just recently, when we went to Milwaukee, you know, again, we were down in the basement at Shakers. And I don't remember the whole story, but there was a little boy that was murdered or killed or something like that. And, unfortunately, years ago, Dawn had a nephew that was hit by a police car and died. Oh, man. So she was interacting with this young spirit, and it kinda brought out all these emotions because of her nephew. And she says that she communicated with her nephew that passed, and I believe it. You know, I Wow. Have no reason not to. And you could totally see the change in her, her demeanor when she was asking questions because she had those dividing rods type of things where you, you know, yes, they cross, no, they separate, or whatever. And the question she was asking were only questions that she would know and the little boy would know. And her demeanor completely changed, and I don't wanna say she was taken over by an entity or spirit, but I do definitely feel that that she was feeling that presence and Which was still full in. So yeah. Definitely tell you that she did because she even asked, are you happy? Are you and I forgot her nephew's name. I'm sorry. But she asked if that was him, and he said, yeah. And, you know, are you playing with this little boy? And the things came up to, yeah. And, you know, so That's She does get emotionally attached and involved, and a lot of things that we do, wherever there's children present that have passed, it will trigger that with her, and she'll always go to that type of questioning and stuff like that. And she'll always ask about that. And she her demeanor definitely changes. Absolutely.
[01:22:34] Unknown:
Alright. Last question for you. Sure. Alright. So we've we've talked about a lot of stuff tonight, and this was great.
[01:22:43] Unknown:
Next time we do next time we get together though, you have to have some pictures. You gotta send me some stuff so I can upload it into the studio so we can show pictures and videos. I definitely will. I definitely will. If if if you have time, I'm more than happy to keep in contact with you. And on a monthly basis, I'll send you a factotum of everything we've done with pictures. Oh, that'd be awesome. If you if you wanna talk about it, just give me a call. We'll set up a thing, and we'll talk about it. Yeah. For sure. I'd love that. Absolutely. I got all kinds of shit for you. That'd be that actually be a lot of fun. You come on on a regular basis and talk about whatever, latest adventure you find yourself on. That'd be awesome. Absolutely. I'd be happy to. And then hopefully, one day, we can either make it down there or you up here, and we'll do a live show together. That'll be awesome. Yes. We'll do that for sure. So last question.
[01:23:31] Unknown:
Like I said, we talked about a lot of stuff tonight. What's your favorite ghost story with the brew?
[01:23:41] Unknown:
About ten years ago, I was staying in a hotel in Chicago where they say that room service is haunted, and that was why I stayed there. The the rumor goes that if they would bring up coffee to you after midnight, there would be an envelope on there with the dead person's name in it. And if you drink the coffee, you would have nightmares about this person's death. Well, I went I didn't have the coffee, but when I walked into the room after I checked in, I could smell like walking in a roastery where you can smell the beans and everything cooking and stuff like that. And and I was real tired, so I just went to sleep. And oddly enough, I did dream about somebody else's death.
And call it coincidence or call it, you know, maybe I thought too much into it, but I definitely got up and I wanted coffee. You know, not more I always want coffee. Don't get me wrong. Oh, same. But, yeah, this time I wanted it even more. And the smell of coffee, it was just all in that room like it was just, like, they had beans under the bed, you know, just cooking them right then and there. And so that's my coffee, you know, my creepy coffee, and it happened. It's real. I'm here to tell you. And I wasn't drinking. I wasn't doing no illicit drugs or nothing. I it I just wanted my coffee, and I dreamt about somebody's death. Wow. That's
[01:25:11] Unknown:
I don't know, man. That's it. That that good kinda got goosebumps from that one now too. Yeah. So this is definitely definitely a goosebumpy night here Good. At the, at the asylum. Stay creepy. Yeah. Amen. At the asylum. So alright. Well, I I do have one more question. Sure. Go ahead. Bourbon guy?
[01:25:35] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. I I I I could definitely do that. What's your, what what's your poison? I don't really have because again, I'm I'm open minded about everything. So I probably back from my teen years, you know, like the gym and stuff like that.
[01:25:53] Unknown:
So I'm I'm pretty open to it. Okay. Alright. I'll see. So I I got some recommendations. I'll I'll send them over I'll send them on over to you. I love Please do. I love my bourbons. I I I'm I'm embarrassed when I think about how much money I've spent on on bourbons over there. Well, that's that's a good thing though because that's Dawn. She's

into, you know, the tasting of the alcohols and stuff like that more than I The spirits. Me, if I drink it, I'm just drinking it because I like it, you know. But she'll go for the flavors and the smells and the taste. So Mhmm. When we get together for a ghost hunt, we're just gonna have one drunken brawl that's gonna be a blast. Blast. Yes. It will. I, I I like to pair the,
[01:26:33] Unknown:
the whatever I'm drinking with something. So Sure. There are certain bourbons that you'll have with, a certain type of cigar. I'm a cigar guy. I love cigars. I've been smoking cigars since 1998. You know? Dude, you gotta go to Shaker's Cigar Bar in Milwaukee. Well, that's why when you said it, I was like, like, I think
[01:26:53] Unknown:
Yeah. It's like the radar's going out. You've got to go. And it's literally well, go on the website and look under,
[01:27:01] Unknown:
past events. Mhmm. Oh. I think we lost him. There he goes. He's back. He's coming back. So folks, while we're waiting for Eddie to reconnect, I hope you guys are having a great time with this show tonight. This is a lot of fun, really enjoying it. Let me see. Maybe I have to refresh. Let's try that. Give me one second here. So Eddie, if you're, if you're still there, why don't you, hit that camera button, turn the mic back on. I'm guessing the, the spirits didn't want the conversation to continue. Alright. Well, that sucks.
That was a good conversation. There he goes. There he goes. How about now? Gotcha.
[01:28:35] Unknown:
Okay. Yeah. So I yeah. I guess the spirits didn't want us to talk about that, you know, but definitely, you know, shakers go on the website and everything and there's pictures of the cigar bar and where they have the humidifier and all the cigars and it's one of the few places I guess left in the world you can sit there and just puff away on them. Well, yeah. It's a it's a dying thing, but you know, it's it's a lot of fun. I enjoy it. It's like,
[01:29:01] Unknown:
for me, like, I'll I'll like I said, I try to pair flavors. So like I'll Sure. So like, an Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel goes fantastic with, Camacho Triple Maduro cigar. You know, like like, I don't think you you probably have no idea what I'm talking about. But Sure. Yeah. Right? That's okay. But I understand. I get it. Yeah. So, she pair it up, and then plus I like to cook. So I I I'm always putting together plates, and I'm trying to pair it with the right bourbons, and the right wines, and it's just I like that stuff. It's it's like therapy for me. It helped me deal with the PTSD stuff, you know. Sure. Sure. When I feel the itch coming on, I'm like, I gotta do something. So I start cooking. And, more recently since I've been living here, because you know, I I where I am, I'm in Eagle Pass, Texas. So Eagle Pass is on the border with Mexico.
Okay. I don't know if you remember the, under the previous administration when they had the borders wide open, this this was one of the points of entry that that they were pouring in through. And, this is where there was that standoff between the federal government and the state government here at this park, which is like like two Right up the road? Like a two minute walk from my house. Sure. Called Shelby Park. It's right over here. So, you know, all that stuff took place right here. So you you could imagine of course, you know, I'm Hey, look. I'm a Sicilian from New York. You know what I mean? Sure. Forget about it. I'm living I'm living down here. It's like everybody's, you know, you know, Mexican and everybody speaks everybody speaks Spanish and and and like, I mean, I I I swear and I'm I'm I better not say it. So No. I totally get what you're saying. Yeah. It's like Yeah. If I have one more taco, I'm gonna scream.
Right?
[01:30:49] Unknown:
But, Well, that's like up here in Flag, not to cut you off, but I'd die and kill for Chinese food that's any good. Yeah. There's nothing here. Yeah. There's Yeah. It's just Like the only Anyway. The only thing that's here is, is is some really bad,
[01:31:04] Unknown:
like buffet and panda.
[01:31:07] Unknown:
Yeah. Well, that's not real. No. It's not. No. But,
[01:31:10] Unknown:
but but so I've I've recently reembraced my Sicilian heritage. So, my sister and I after my well, my parent our parents passed away, sure, fairly recently. And which oh, that's right. There's another story I forgot to tell you. So, so since that, you know, my sister and I got much much closer. And so Mhmm. We talk all the time about recipe. We're talking today about making stuffed peppers this weekend and and all that stuff, and she still lives up in New York. So, you know, so she and I, we've been practicing our Italian on each other, you know, we've been trying to to revive all that. But now I'm getting confused because, some Spanish is so very close to to Italian. Now, when I'm at work and they they mostly speak Spanish there, I'm getting confused.
I don't know how to answer the questions anymore. But, so really last last quick story for you. So, right after my mom passed away and right before I started the renovations on the house, I was in the studio here with my dogs, my kids, my babies. I have two French Bulldogs. I have my girl, her name is Bean, and I got my boy Charlie who's actually at the door of the studio right now. Because he knows he knows it's about that time. So, we were we were the three of us were in the studio here together, and I was, you know, just kinda messing around with stuff. And Mhmm.
In the kitchen, I had their food dishes down, And as we're sitting here, it just you heard something scrape across the like something sliding across the floor. Right. And the three of us heard it because they they actually stood up, because they were laying at my feet. They stood up, and they walked to the door, and they just stood there. Like they didn't go out, they just stood there. Sure. So I got up, and I went to go look, and their food bowls were pushed away from the wall into the middle of the kitchen. Wow. So I called my sister, and I was like, you're never gonna believe this. And as I told her what happened, I said I didn't I didn't, you know, I didn't grab my phone. I didn't record it, but this is what this is what just happened. And she was like, she goes, yeah, that's probably mom. She's just messing with you.
Wow. I was like, you never Did
[01:33:22] Unknown:
did did your mom do stuff like that with the dogs or Well, my Or was was she a prankster? My mom? No. Yeah. No. I I
[01:33:30] Unknown:
me and my dad were the pranksters, you know? Oh, okay. But, but, but but she I mean, she she loved the dogs. She had she had dogs. She was a big very, very big dog person. Sure. And so, you know, I'd like to think that was her just messing around. You know, let me know she's around.
[01:33:49] Unknown:
Hey. I got good news. If you got about another five minutes,
[01:33:52] Unknown:
Dawn is on her way in. Okay. And she's gonna come sit down and talk with you for a few minutes. Okay. That'll be great. So you and I can keep talking to Actually till she Actually, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put us on on a on a little bit of a break here for a second because I need more coffee. Alright. So I'm gonna I'm gonna shut the camera off for a second. I'm gonna play some music, and folks, we'll be back right after this. Stay with us.
[01:34:29] Unknown:
Baby, where you at?
[01:37:13] Unknown:
Hey there. Oh, you gotta turn your mic on. There you go. There. Okay. Hi, Dawn. How you doing? Sorry. Hi. I'm sorry. Novice Talvis. So No. No. You're good. You're good. You're good. Welcome welcome to the show. It's great to have you. Thank you. I was looking forward to talking to you guys earlier today. We and, and Eddie and I were having a great conversation and, told a lot of, really interesting interesting stories. One of the things that that, we have been talking about were, people who are very sensitive to, paranormal activity or or, spiritual activity or like, and he mentioned that you are. And Sure. And one of the questions that I asked him that I that I, like I I've actually said, I I just wish you were there at the moment when I asked the question, it could probably answer it better. No. No. No. It's fine.
I think he did a good job, so you can listen to it later and you can find out. But, it was He's the person that you are. The question was And what the question that I asked him that I that I Oh, I hear an echo.
[01:38:18] Unknown:
He hears an echo. So
[01:38:22] Unknown:
I'm gonna kick Eddie out for a minute. Oh, because he's listening on the thing? Okay. Yeah. That's why. Alright. So so Thanks, Joe. Oh, you're welcome. The, so the question was that, have you ever been to a location where you've sensed a spirit some spirit activity and it personally affected you? Like, not that you were, possessed or or or burnt but but in some way influenced you where you were feeling the emotions of the spirit that was in that location?
[01:38:55] Unknown:
I've actually had a couple through time, but recently was in Wisconsin. When we were there, they had me use the rods and for some reason, every question I asked had a response, and everybody else kind of a response every two, three questions. Mhmm. But everything I asked had a response. And I had a nephew who was killed on his bicycle at a very young age. And my daughter when she was, I think, five. So my nephew was killed in way back in '94. Okay. My daughter was born in '98 or '97. And when she was about five, she came in to me one day and said, you know, mom, Brandon, which was my nephew's name, flies over and watches you.
And that was kind of like the first time I got connected with all of this and really kinda started to believe in it. And I'm like, what do you mean? And she would sit down and have conversations with him. And she was five. She didn't know him. I mean, she might have known his name if we had ever talked about him, but she said he was around a lot and they had conversations all the time. And so when we went to Wisconsin, I had asked if Brandon was the one that was trying to come through, and it came out yes.
[01:40:25] Unknown:
Wow.
[01:40:26] Unknown:
And so I asked a couple other questions, and everything was always positive yes. And I know Eddie is so open to, like, yeah. Bring it on. I'm like, okay. I'm done. I'm walking away now. I have a really strong belief in it. Mhmm. I don't wanna see anything. I don't mind, like, lights or those kind of things because I've had a lot of experience back in Iowa where I used to live, with doors, chairs. My kids have seen it. My son had a friend couple friends over one night, when he was probably about 10, and his friends started freaking out. And my son was kind of in the other part of the room, and he's like, what's going on? And they're like, did you not see that man's image just walk by? Wow. And the one boy had never been at her house, so he was, like, ready to go home. And my son simply turns around and goes, yeah. It was probably my grandpa, and just kinda went on his way. So we've had a lot of experiences.
Wow. But, yeah, my nephew is is he's probably the strongest. And I'd I'll feel every now and then, I'll sit there. One night, I felt like a arm on my shoulder, and it it was just Eddie and I sitting there. And I looked. I knew nobody was there, but it's like, okay. I just felt somebody touched me. I felt my hair kinda brush by. But that night, when I asked the questions, it was a bit
[01:41:59] Unknown:
they gave me a different feeling. Yeah. I'm sure it would. I mean, that that Yeah. Like, I I I don't know how I would react if if, if if I had a family member, you know, make contact like that in in in some way. It it's it gotta be a little it has to be a little unsettling.
[01:42:17] Unknown:
Well, I think my dad has tried to come through before too. Okay. Where we're at now and where we live, we'll have a light that comes on behind us where we sit on the couch and watch TV. The light has literally come on different times. And I've had a conversation like, okay. Ask questions. Is this a sign for something? Yeah. You know? And the light will flick on. I'm like, okay. I'm done. I'm not asking any more questions. And I'm sure he told you about a couple times with the cat falls.
[01:42:50] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. He did.
[01:42:53] Unknown:
I don't like to ask a lot of questions, but I've come through the rooms before, and they just flicker a lot. And like I said, I I don't try to bring it on where Eddie tries to bring it on, but I have had a lot come through. I thought I heard something. You don't.
[01:43:13] Unknown:
Eddie's back. My dog's in here too. Sorry. Yeah. Actually, my two have joined us. They're, they're laying on the floor right now.
[01:43:20] Unknown:
So Well, she thinks she she likes to be part of everything. So Oh, these two also. I mean,
[01:43:26] Unknown:
right now yeah. I'm not even gonna tell you what they're doing at the moment. Yeah. She she's back there. I see. What kind of dog is it? She's a boxer. Oh, yeah. I was gonna say, yeah, she's a boxer. Oh, she's beautiful. Thank you. Yeah. My two are right now laying on the floor, and they're they're my girl is cleaning the boy. I don't know. These two drive me nuts. But, it's like as soon as I opened the door to the studio, I went to go get some more coffee. The two of them came running in here, and they weren't leaving. So pretty soon you can see her head pop up over here somewhere.
[01:44:00] Unknown:
Right? She'll probably stick her nose up here too. She was trying to get in here a minute ago. They're my babies. I love them. They,
[01:44:07] Unknown:
I was I was telling Eddie that, well, actually, you know what? I'm gonna show you the video that I showed Eddie since I got you here. So this I recorded this a couple of months ago here in my in my kitchen. I didn't get the whole thing, so when you see the video, this little item, it it's Oh, try to see better. It moved it moved across an island that I have in my kitchen. Okay. But it started further back, but I just didn't have my phone with me to record it. So, you know, I I missed the majority of it. But I got this at the end, and don't mind the background noise. It's it's the TV and my boy, Charlie. He's a they're French bulldog, so they're breathing issues. So here it is. Oh, they're so cute.
So it originally started in the back there by the by the Coke can. And, yes, I did. That's a bottle of bourbon in the background.
[01:45:14] Unknown:
Wasn't gonna ask. Yeah. So how did you have a camera there at that particular room? It was my phone.
[01:45:21] Unknown:
Oh, okay. It was my phone. And, I have, the so my island is, like, here, and then I have my dining room table's right there. My phone was on the dining room table. And when it started moving by the Coke can, I was just standing there watching it? I was like, duh, why am I not recording this? So I went and grabbed the phone, and then I I started recording it. So it's yeah. That so that happened, and then, I've had their food dishes move across the floor, which well, that that sliding thing, that that happened after I did a renovation in the house. And then the the the moving of the of the food bowls took place after my mom passed away.
Okay. And, now my mom my family lives up in New York. I'm down here in Texas. So, you know, my I I don't think my mom ever even met my dogs. So I don't even think she knew them. But I I I called my sister and I was like, hey, you're not gonna believe what just happened. And I and I told her, and she was like, yeah, that's mom and she's just messing with you. I'm like, oh, okay. Good. See, my sister's very much into all that stuff as well. Right. You know, she's she's into the I'm I'm not gonna say like, like like ghosts and ghost hunting and things like that, but she's into, superstitious stuff.
And Okay. So like for example, they something about cardinals. If you see a cardinal that's supposed to be Yes. A loved one. Now Yes. I totally agree. Now, down here in Texas, you don't see cardinals at all because it's too hot. Right. Alright. So, I was I was in my office, and this was right after my mom passed. Now, sequence of events, I I I lost my dad, I lost my grandmother six months later, and then I lost my wife to a divorce. And then, I don't Yeah. I don't wanna make it sound like she died or anything like that. Although, but and then and then and then my mom passed. So all that happened within a year and a half of each other.
And, I was I was sitting at my I was sitting at my desk, and I had the the door open to to, where my office is. I I I work in a nursing facility, so my office is outside the building in like a workshop. And, so I'm sitting there and I'm I'm just looking out the door and I and I see a cardinal land on the roof across the way from me. And I'm like, oh, that's funny. I haven't seen that before here. And then, like, literally a minute later another one comes and lands. So I called my sister. I said, hey, did didn't you tell me something about Cardinals? So she was like, she's like, yeah. She said, why? I said, well, I got two of them that are that are perched right outside my office door. And Yep. And, she was like, that's mom and dad. That's mom and dad. I'm like, oh, okay. Yes, mama.
[01:48:10] Unknown:
What is it? No. I I believe that. My mom and I have talked about that before too with my dad. And we are also into numbers. So my dad's birthday was the seventeenth. Okay. '7 was his lucky number, which is my lucky number. He unfortunately passed away in July. I'm sorry. So February 7. But anytime I see a 07/17 and my mom and I will talk. She's like, yeah. I was thinking about your dad. And I was talking to him out loud. And I looked at the clock, and it was 07:17. And so that happens a lot to us. Cardinals as well.
[01:48:50] Unknown:
It's it's Definitely believe in the whole cardinal thing. That's crazy, though. It's it's and like I said, you never see it here. And there it was.
[01:48:58] Unknown:
Well, I've had a lot of loss like you. So my nephew passed away. He was seven and a half. Weird. And then my sister couple years later, my sister passed. And then a couple years later, my father passed. So but and so signs like that, I believe that too. Now my mom has seen visions of my dad, my nephew, and my sister. And I am one of those. You could show me something, but please don't show me yourself. I do not want to see an image of anybody I've lost. Of course. Yeah. That's not my thing. I don't wanna see it. My mom loves it. She finds peace in it.
[01:49:42] Unknown:
I don't. No. I I wouldn't either. I think I it would I think that would really disturb me.
[01:49:47] Unknown:
But I have in talking to my dad, the light has come on. Wow. I've had, like, my hair brushed by. Wow. And, like, the other night, you know, touched on the shoulder, like, okay.
[01:50:00] Unknown:
I'm okay. Now you see, it's it's interesting because my sister, she has experiences like that all the time, you know. And she and she'll tell me and she'll tell me, you know, dad's talking to me, daddy's telling me something. And I'm like, okay. Well, that's good. What's he telling you? Does he have the lottery numbers or
[01:50:17] Unknown:
Right. Can can he pass can he pass those on it? You know? I do get a lot of that too.
[01:50:22] Unknown:
Yeah. It's Yeah. Yeah. I don't I don't think I'd want I I like, I I I've had dreams about my parents, you know, since they passed, but I've not had any experiences like my sister has. And like I said, she, you know, little little things that my dad would do, she'd find around the house. Right. Around her house. And and Yeah. You know, things like that. And it and when she tells me the stories, you know, I I, you know, it kinda makes the hair stand up a little bit, and I get the goosebumps and all. And, I'm glad that she has those experiences. I I don't want it. I I'd rather not, you know. Not that I'm not that I'd be I'd be scared of it. I just think it would
[01:51:02] Unknown:
I would just make it uncomfortable. I don't want a vision. Yeah. I don't mind all the other little things. I just I don't wanna see
[01:51:10] Unknown:
them. Right. Now and now as far as ex exactly. As far as seeing any other spirit activity and things like that, I would love to see something. You know, like, as long as it's not somebody that I lost, you know, that's close to me and somebody that I know, I'll look at anything. I I was telling Eddie about my my my instance incident at the house, back in New York, you know, where I heard a a a woman's voice. I was make we were making the bed in the in the bedroom, and we had moved into this house. It was an estate sale. The previous we were the second family to live in the house, and, the previous owner passed away in the house, and making the bed. And as we were pulling the sheets, you know, heard a clear as day woman's voicing. Who is that?
Wow. You know, and, you know, things like that. Yeah. That's to me that's crazy. It's it's cool. I love it. It's a lot of fun, and I just recently went out and bought some equipment. I got my little EMF detector. I got Right. Right. My s my SLS camera app on my phone and, you know, playing with all that kind of stuff. It's it's fun. I I enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to I was telling Eddie I'm gonna head over to the cemetery. I live near a cemetery. I'm gonna head over there one day. He suggested to get a REM pod, so I'm gonna look into that. Right. So I'm gonna try that out then. Well,
[01:52:23] Unknown:
I moved here from Iowa, about it it's almost three years ago now. When I lived in Iowa, the house that I lived in was literally across the field from a cemetery. Mhmm. The house that we lived in also, we found in the basement a huge hole, like a man sized hole. One of my ex's friends went down in the hole and crawled as far as he could and it branched off. Now we are about a mile from an old depot, train depot. Okay. In that house is where doors would shut, things would open and close, Chairs would rock. Wow. Where my son's friend saw an image walk by.
A lot, a lot, a lot happened in the house. It got to the point my kids were so used to it that it didn't really freak them out. But if they had friends come over and, like, a door would slam, they're like, what was that? And my kids would be like, oh, it's my grandpa or oh, it's this. I mean, it got it got to be so normal that it wasn't scary to us. Yeah. It was just part of the day. Come out one day, my dog was barking at the rocking chair, and it was just rocking back and forth. Wow. I was able to go and home. To see that stuff. I would love to see that. We had a baby gate that went down to the basement. And I, again, was home by myself. It opened and it slammed shut. My dog and I look at each other like, okay. It's just you and I. Right.
So yeah. I've had a lot of those experiences in the past. But, you know, again, I we don't know what was in that ground. We don't know if it was an underground tunnel. There was a lot of conspiracy theories. Did they help people escape because the railroad was only about a mile away? Had that railroad been completed, it would have been, they said, as big as the Chicago Railroad. But they had closed it off instead. I forget what happened. I think it was some financial stuff. But it was a very where the what they call the old it it was in Manila, Iowa, and the Manila Depot sits there still. And they do paranormal paranormal walks through there because a lot of activity happens there too.
[01:54:42] Unknown:
So They're hungry. I don't know. You hungry? We're almost done.
[01:54:49] Unknown:
Well, like I said, if it wasn't for my daughter way back, she's now gonna be 28. She kinda opened my eyes to it.
[01:54:58] Unknown:
Yeah. I I I've had like I I I was telling Eddie, I've had some experiences over my life, you know, and I don't know. I think the older I'm getting, the more interested I am in this. Maybe because I'm getting closer to it myself. I don't know.
[01:55:13] Unknown:
Wait. Wait a minute. Now you're aging me. No. No. No. No. No.
[01:55:17] Unknown:
No. I'm I'm let's see. I will be 55 this year.
[01:55:22] Unknown:
Yeah. See. So I'll be 58 this year. No.
[01:55:26] Unknown:
Really? Okay. Alright. Yeah. Well, I'm, now I was gonna think of something obnoxious to say, but I'm not gonna say it. So, I just You're fine. I just met you. I just met you.
