In this Sunday Bible Study edition of the Joe Rooz Show, I kick off a new series on Dispensations—starting with the often-avoided Pre-Adamic period. I lay out why rightly dividing the word of truth matters, how dispensations frame God’s differing dealings with humanity across time, and why misunderstanding time periods leads to theological confusion. We trace foundational passages (Genesis 1, Ezekiel 28, Isaiah 14, Ephesians 1–3, Colossians 1, 1 Corinthians 9, 2 Peter 3) to explore Satan’s original role, the earth’s chaotic state, and the case for Genesis 1 as a re-creation—highlighting clues like “replenish” and the absence of “it was good” on Day Two. I preview where we’re headed next: the Dispensation of Innocence, and a continuing thread on the Bible’s central theme of kingdoms and authority from Genesis to Revelation.
I also invite listeners to share questions, prayer requests, and topic suggestions via the website or email, and to follow along live or via archives across our streaming platforms. Join me next week as we build on this foundation and examine mankind’s responsibility, disobedience, and judgment in each dispensation—unlocking Scripture by rightly dividing the word of truth.

I think it's gonna be, I think it's gonna be a good week. I think we got a lot of stuff going on for us here that that are looking in the right direction, trending in the right direction. Now, of course, the last, seven weeks, we've been studying the, the book of Proverbs. We've been talking about wisdom, and how to apply wisdom to our everyday life. And, we wrapped it up last week. It was the last at let the last show on, the book of Proverbs on the wisdom series we were doing. And, I I asked you guys what you wanted to do next. Do you want to get through dispensations or go into the book of Revelation?
It was very very close from the feedback that I've gotten. It was very close, but dispensations is gonna be the way we're gonna go. So we're gonna teach dispensations, which in and actually in a way, it's good that we do it that way. It's probably better that we do it that way because, without really understanding dispensations, it's gonna be really hard to understand the book of Revelation. And, so it's gonna so it'll it'll work out that we'll do dispensations today and going forward, and then we'll do, Revelation when we finish the series on the dispensations. Now, again, like I said, today we're gonna launch into this new series, and honestly, I'm not sure how long it's gonna take, but we're gonna study these dispensations.
I I am a dispensationalist. I've told you that before, and all that basically means is that I believe that based on the study of scripture, God deals with men in a different way, in different periods of time. Alright? And those periods of time are called dispensations. And what we're gonna do today, is we're gonna start off with a dispensation that really not very many theologians, pastors, bible teachers, preachers, everyone really wanna get into. I think maybe because they're a little, afraid of getting into this type of subject, but, you know, if you if you if you study the word of God, he'll open up these things to you, and it's nothing to be afraid of.
Alright? And this dispensation that we're gonna talk about today is called the pre Adamic. The pre Adamic. Now, of all the dispensations, when you get to the pre Adamic, it's one of those that that we really know very the very least about, and that's probably why a lot of a lot of those, you know, scholars and and, and, you know, theologians, pastors, preachers, teachers, like like I mentioned, kinda shy away from it. You know, it's a little tough. But, you know, when we get to some of the others, we get truckloads of information. But I I think it's important for us today to get into, into this particular dispensation, the pre Adamic, because it will it will lay a foundation for everything that's gonna follow.
You know, the apostle Paul said, study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The Bible has divisions in it, and more divisions than most people really recognize. Alright? And we're gonna get into some of that in the series, particularly today, but before we get started, as always, I'm gonna ask you to head over to our website, joerus.com. Just use the contact form. If you don't wanna use the contact form, totally fine. You could always email me directly at [email protected].

With having said that, heavenly father, we wanna thank you for the day. We wanna thank you lord for your for your word. We wanna thank you father that you've given us the word of truth. Father, we thank you that, you have opened it up to us, and god, we ask you to bless it as it goes forward. Bless the preaching, the teaching, and the reading of your holy word today. In Jesus name, amen. Alright. Now, you know, most people will tell you, you know, I believe in the Old Testament, I believe in the New Testament. Well, so do I. So do I. But, like I said, there are a lot of other divisions in the Bible other than just the Old Testament and New Testament. But you have to examine your Bible, because without knowing where they are, you could really get yourself into some problems.
And we see that to be fairly common, with most people, because they have a willing that that because either they're unwilling or, to, they're either unwilling to do it, or they just don't rightly divide the word of truth. There's a there's a lot of confusion that results in Christianity in Christianity today because people just not doing that very thing. You know, most of your cults and most of the sects that you find out there, that you examine, have a truth. They have a truth, and they're even majoring on a truth. But when you get to examine it, you find out that they have that particular truth in the wrong time period.
Alright. Now you say, alright, that's confusing, Joe. What are you talking about? Well, for example, let me give you an example. Alright. The Seventh Day Adventists, the SDAs. They say that you have to keep the Sabbath day holy. Okay? Well, it's a truth, just the wrong time. Alright? Then you have the charismatic crowd that says you have to speak in tongues. Well, that's a truth, just the wrong time. Some folks say, you know, we need to get some, you know, divine healers out there. Well, that's a truth, just the wrong time.
You know, God's saving all of that for the tribulation. And if you don't mind, I'd just as rather be absent from that. So as you as you begin to examine the cults, and and you begin to examine these sects, they have a lot of the truths, They just put them in the wrong time period. You know, some people say, well, you're saved by works. Well, that's a truth. Just the wrong time. Wrong time. Some say, you're saved by works and grace. Well, that's a truth. It's just the wrong time. Now some people say that there there's no faith to it at all, it's all by sight. Well, that's a truth.
It's just the wrong time. God's saving that one for the millennium. Alright. So you see what I'm saying? That there there's a lot of truth that people get hold of, but if they don't rightly divide the truth, they get really confused. And, you know, then it then it becomes so much like, like like the formal religion, you know. So much of formal religion says, you know, we, the select few, you know, the clergy, just a few of us, we get the truth, and nobody else has it. Everybody else is just a dummy, you know, and, and all you need to do is you just need to sit there, and you need to listen to us, and we'll spoon feed it to you, and we'll tell you what you ought to know. It it but it's not that way at all.
It's not that way at all. The truth is available to any man or woman who will search the scriptures. As a matter of fact, the Bible tells us to search the scriptures. The greatest admonition that we have is to search the scriptures. God wants you to study, to show yourself approved unto God. That's what our text says. That verse that I read to you right before we started. The student of the word of God as spoken here is a workman. A workman. You know, it takes some work to get into the scriptures and dig it out and find out what God has to say. But if you'll work, if you'll put the work in, he'll show you.
Alright. Now this word dispensation, that I've been thrown around, you know, quite a bit lately. This word dispensation, it's used in the Bible four times. Alright? And you'll hear you'll hear me from time to time say, dispensational truth, or or this bit dispensation, or that dispensation. Actually, you know, we're gonna be studying in this series several dispensations, or simply put, time periods, or references of time. Alright. So let's take a look at some of those, and let's go over to, Colossians and chapter one. So take your bible, you're gonna go to your new testament, you're gonna go to book of Colossians.
Remember, Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans? Then you got the Corinthians. Then you got Ephesians. I'm sorry. You got Galatians, then Ephesians, and then you have Colossians. Great little book. Well, Philippians then Colossians. Sorry. Great little book. Colossians. Powerful book. Very, very powerful book. Colossians chapter one and verse number 24. Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church, whereof I am made a minister according to the dispensation of God, which is given me for you to fulfill the word of God. Alright. Now, the word dispensation here seems to imply a special commission that Paul that God gave Paul. Alright. Let's look on. Next verse, verse 26. Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints.
And when when we say saints, we're not talking about some special class that's been appointed by the church. We're talking about you, me, as believers. We are considered saints in the eyes of God. We don't need any kind of, any kind of, religious organization to to dub us a saint. You know what I mean? So And you know what I'm talking about. Now, when the old testament prophets when the old testament prophets looked out over the prophecies that God had given them, all the you know, all they were rarely able to see were, like, the mountain peaks of prophecy.
Alright? They looked out along a horizontal line, and they saw several mountain peaks sticking up. God gave them a glimpse of the first coming of Jesus Christ as well as the second advent of Jesus Christ. God gave them a glimpse of the tribulation as recorded in the book of Jeremiah, in the book of Daniel. God gave them a glimpse of the millennium and of his kingdom of the kingdom. God gave them a glimpse of eternity. What they did not see what they did not see were all the valleys between the mountain peaks. Now one of the valleys is the church age, the giant valley of some two thousand years.
You see, they couldn't see that. They couldn't see that. That's why the apostle Paul refers to it as a mystery, which hath been hid from the eight from ages and from generations. In due time in due time, God revealed the dispensations. Now to ignore the fact that God, at a particular time, revealed ages and made some some, you know, lines of division is to is really to ignore a large very, very large portion of scripture. Take your Bibles and look at the over in Ephesians in chapter three. So you're in you're in Colossians. Just go back two books to the book of Ephesians, and chapter three. It should be just like a page or two, really.
Ephesians in chapter three, and, gonna go to verse, verse two. Ephesians chapter three verse two. If you have if you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God, which was which is given me to you word, how that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery, as I wrote a four in a few words, whereby when you read, you may understand my knowledge of the mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, and is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the spirit. Well, it was a mystery.
It was. It wasn't known. God made known to Paul. He made he made it known to us through the Holy Spirit, and therefore, it's no longer it no longer has to be a mystery because why? Because it's it's been made clear. But unfortunately, unfortunately, it it remains a mystery, to many who really don't study the show themselves approved. Ephesians chapter one verse nine, same book, just go back to chapter two. Ephesians chapter one verse nine. Having made known unto us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he hath purposed in himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of times, he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are in earth, even in him.
Alright. Now this particular this is a reference to the future. Okay? This is a a reference to the future event to to the future advent of Christ, and, and even often to eternity, when when all things that are in Christ will be gathered together to him, and this particular time period is called by the Holy Spirit, a what? A dispensation. A dispensation. Alright? Let's look at one more. Let's go to first Corinthians chapter nine. First Corinthians chapter nine. So you're gonna keep on going to your left, going back toward the front of your bible. Alright. So you were in Ephesians. You're gonna go to, Galatians, second Corinthians, and then to first Corinthians.
And you're gonna go to first Corinthians chapter one and verse number nine. First Corinthians chapter one verse nine. I'm I'm sorry. Correction. First Corinthians chapter nine verse 16. Duh. First Corinthians chapter nine verse 16. For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of, for necessity is laid upon me. Yay, woe is me woe is unto me if I preach not the gospel. For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward, but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. Alright. Now, Paul Paul had a dispensation of the gospel, a commission.
That's that's it's how you can you could interpret it in this verse. Paul preached a peculiar gospel. A peculiar gospel, and it was peculiar in the sense that, it was different. It was very different from the gospel that Peter preached. When Peter came along preaching, as he was commissioned to do in Mark chapter 16, and when he came along, what did he say in Acts chapter two? He said to that Jewish audience, and it was Jewish in its entirety, he said what? He said, Repent and be baptized for the remission of sins. Alright. Now this now now this was the gospel, or a, a continuation of the gospel of the kingdom.
Now as we get into dispensations, we're gonna examine in detail the gospel of the kingdom. Alright? But when Paul came along, when Paul Paul preached a different gospel. He he preached a different gospel. He he called it the gospel of Christ in Romans chapter one and verse 16. In other areas, he referred to it as my gospel. It was different. It it was different in the respect that the entire gospel gravitated around, to the foundation stone of grace. Grace. When you get over to Acts chapter 15, Peter and Paul and, and the rest of the guys, they get together and they have this this great, you know, ecclesiastical meeting. And at the conclusion of the meeting, according to the words of Peter himself that, you know, we now live in a dispensation of grace.
Man is saved by grace through faith and trust in Jesus Christ. You're saved by grace, and faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Now now, where did it change? And what's the difference? Now, we're gonna well, as now as we examine the word of God, we're gonna find out. So it's it's gonna be basically our purpose in this entire study. And, again, I don't know how long it's gonna take, how many weeks it's gonna take, I you know, but one of the one of my the way I have it laid out and planned out is is basically to try to take us through the Bible from a dispensational standpoint, from Genesis all the way over to Revelation.
And, you know, we'll examine every dispensation in the Bible, every period, you know, every time period I'm talking about. Alright? The thing that distinguishes a time period for the purpose of our study is this, how a man was saved or a man's responsibility to God, man's disobedience to God, and the judgment that God put upon man. And anytime that changes, then for the purpose of our study, we move into a new dispensation. Alright? Now the popular concept is is that that's been portrayed in biblical fundamentalism, by some of the most outstanding leaders of biblical fundamentalism, and and you can read this in almost any commentary or religious periodical, almost every almost any Christian piece of literature that you can pick up, is that man has always been saved exactly the same way.
Alright. You'll find that if you look at all of those commentaries and publications and and all that stuff. Alright. Now, if that's true, now now listen to me. If that's true, then you've got a big portion of the Bible that you have a problem with. Big portion of your Bible you have a problem with. As we examine this, and and and and and and we go through the study, I'm gonna show you many of those portions. Alright? You know, many said Adam, you know, many say that that Adam was saved the same way that I was saved. The only difference is that Adam looked forward to the cross, we look back to the cross. I'm gonna let you sit on that for a second.
Adam was saved by looking forward to the cross, and we're saved looking back to the cross. Alright? How is that possible? How is that possible? Adam had no information at all about the cross. None. What no whatsoever. None. He had no information whatsoever about the cross. They'll say, well, Adam had Genesis three fifteen. Alright. Okay. Who did God speak to in Genesis three fifteen? Who did God speak to in Genesis three fifteen? The serpent, right? The serpent. Adam, if he was there, if he gleaned any information whatsoever from Genesis three fifteen, it doesn't tell him about the cross.
It doesn't tell him about the efficacious atonement of the blood. It doesn't tell him about grace. It doesn't tell him about faith. It doesn't tell him to believe with all his heart. It doesn't give him any any of that information. In every age, man is saved by being obedient to the light that God has given him. Let me say that again. In every age, man is saved by being obedient to the light that God has given him. As the ages progress, the light progresses, and and you're gonna see that. This, not today, but the next time, we get together for this, the Bible study next Sunday, would would would really hasten us to lend a definition to what salvation is. Alright? What is salvation?
Well, salvation is certainly the forgiveness of sin. Salvation is the inheritance of eternal life. Well, how did man get that? How did man get that? Now, as we begin to examine these things, it'll unfold a a a great great amount of scripture to you. And it's gonna help you understand a lot of things and take what appear to be contradictions. You always hear people say, look, Bible's full of contradictions. No. There's not. And by examining the scripture that we're gonna be examining, it'll help you to to take what appear to be contradictions and reconcile them.
In a lot of ways, this this could probably be one of the most helpful, one of the most useful studies that you could we could ever have. It is going to unlock doors in the word of God for you, and and and and and if and if we're really gonna study dispensations, if we're really gonna examine the time periods in the Bible, obviously, the best place to start is where? In the beginning. Right? In the beginning. And in order to do that, there's a lot of scripture that we have to draw upon to to allow God to show us some things. I think it's appropriate to ask ourselves this question.
It's a very important question to ask. Think about this. What in the world was the original plan? In other words, what we have going on in the world today, you know, just life in general, roughly 8,000,000,000 people on the face of this planet, on this plane, and all of history, and all of perspective future, all that we see around us, is it really is it just organized disorganization? If there is a God, and God is concerned about the affairs of humanity, what's his overall plan? Does he have a plan? Does does does the the the the grand designer of the universe, does the architect of of everything that we see around us have a plan, or did he just create what we see and just leave it for its own destruction?
Does he have a plan? Well, yes. God has a plan. God has an overall master plan. And to completely appreciate some of the things that we're gonna study, we have to have some kind of an understanding as to what that plan is. Alright? So turn with me over to the book of Isaiah, your old testament. The book of Isaiah. So go to the middle of your bible, you're gonna find Psalms, Proverbs. Just turn over a couple extra books. You're gonna pass, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and then you're gonna get into Isaiah. Alright? Isaiah chapter 45.
Isaiah chapter 45, and we're gonna go to verse number 18. Isaiah 45 verse 18. For thus saith the lord that created the heavens, god himself that formed the earth and made it. He hath established it. He created it not in vain. He formed it to be inhabited. I am the lord, and there is none else. Well, there it is. Right there. God's plan. He created it to be inhabited. Well, and certainly it's inhabited right now. Then it's safe to say that, you know, what we see is the fulfillment of God's plan. Alright. Let's take a look over in second Peter. Second Peter in chapter three. So you can go back to your New Testament.
You're gonna pass through all the Pauline epistles, Colossians, you know, they're gonna go through through the Timothy's and Hebrews and Peter. Well, James and then Peter and then second Peter. Alright? Second Peter chapter three. Second Peter chapter three. Now, all of second Peter chapter three is a prophetic passage. Alright. Second Peter chapter three is all talking about the future. Alright. Second Peter chapter three, and, where is it here? In verse nine. Alright. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness, but is long suffering to us ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. The earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. So Peter here, he's talking about the final judgment upon the earth. Verse 11. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming day of God. Alright. Now, you see, there's a difference between the day of the Lord and the day of God. Alright? Now, the day of God is defined right here.
Wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat. Alright? The ultimate judgment. Nevertheless, verse 13, we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness. Alright? Now, Revelation trap chapter 22 tells us that the new heaven and the new earth are going to be inhabited. How can righteousness dwell if there is no habitation? Righteousness doesn't doesn't doesn't dwell in physical things like stone or concrete, wood, and stubble. Righteousness righteousness dwells in within the hearts and in the minds of individuals, inhabitants.
And so God's plan in the past, eternity past, was to inhabit the Earth. God's plan for eternity future is to inhabit the heavens and the Earth. So what we're dealing with right now in the framework of time, is like a, a parenthesis in God's plan. Alright? Let's turn over to Genesis chapter one. Alright? Go all the way to the cover of your Bible, first book, Genesis chapter one. And, you know, I'm gonna throw this out there. If you're not using a King James bible, it it's it's really unfortunate, because you're gonna miss all of this. All the new bibles went out of their way to change things. Okay?
Out of their way to change stuff. And and one of the changes, a very subtle change, very subtle change, is right here in the in the first verse, in the first book of your bible. Alright? Genesis chapter one and verse one. I'll point it out to you when we get there. Alright? In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth. Alright? Now, that's there's a change there, and I'm not gonna dwell on it too much because we have a lot of ground to cover still. And, but but in your new bibles, if you look at your new bibles, they change the word heaven. They change the word heaven. They make it plural.
They say God created the heavens, plural, but that's not what it is. In the beginning, God created the heaven, one, singular heaven, and the earth. Now, in relation to the verse, whenever that was, I don't know when it was. Okay? Some folks say it's six thousand years ago because Bishop Usher, did a chronology that's, a chronological study that that that that takes us back to Genesis one by by, by adding up all the begats that you find, to six thousand years. Well, I don't disagree with that. He's he's probably pretty close to being very accurate. But I don't know when this original creation was in the beginning.
In the beginning, whenever that was, God created the heaven and the earth. Alright? Now let's look at verse two. Did I pull up the passage? There we go. Okay. There it is. In the beginning, the heaven and the earth. Alright. Verse two. And the and the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. Alright. Well, at one point or another, the the this creation was in a situation of chaos. Alright. Now, Jeremiah chapter four talks about the earth being without form and void. Alright? Isaiah talks about the same thing. Now, the the question, you need to think. It's a bible study. It's what we do. We think. Alright? The question that has to be resolved, the question that has to be answered is, was this how it was originally?
And then what do we have in the following verses? A record of what God did with that earth that was without form and void and void, or in fact or was it in fact an original perfect creation? And then something happened that put it in a position of being without form and void? How was it? How was it? Well, I believe that God's original creation was perfect, because we have never found any record of anything that God created that wasn't perfect. I mean, he even he even Satan was created perfect. You say he was? Well, sure. Look at Ezekiel chapter 28. Ezekiel chapter and we're gonna study that in in that passage in detail in in a minute, so I won't get into a lengthy explanation, but, suffice it to say, right now, suffice it to say right now, this is a description of Satan. Ezekiel 28 and, verse number 14. Let me pull up this passage here. Look at verse 14, if you can see that.
Ezekiel 28 and verse 14. Right. Right. One, two, three, four verses down from the top. Alright. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth. I have set thee so. Thou was upon the holy mountain of God. Thou has walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in thy ways from the day that thou was created till iniquity was found in thee. Even Satan was perfect. Even Satan was created perfect. You know, a lot of people have a misconception of of of of what the word perfect means. You can be perfect, but untested.
Okay? Adam was created perfect, but his perfection was an untested perfection. And it was when it was put to the test, he failed. It wasn't God's fault, it was man's. So, what we have here is a creation, an original creation. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and then we have something that took place that caused the earth to go into a chaotic condition referred to as being without form and void. Now, over this original creation, there was a king. There was someone who God put there to be in charge, and he's often referred to as a king.
In second Corinthians in chapter four and verse four, Satan is called what? Satan is called the god, small g, of this world. Alright? That's a reference to him in this present age, but it seems that he was also a god, small g, or a king in eternity past. Let's go back to Ezekiel, and let's look at, verse 11. Okay? Ezekiel 28 verse 11. Moreover, the word of the Lord came unto me saying, son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, thus saith the lord god, thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. Now, often times, when god is referring to Satan in the old testament in the old testament, he refers to him in the third person.
Alright? The king of Tyrus, the king of Babylon, over in Isaiah, and and and so on. These were earthly kings that Satan was controlling. Just like at times, he controlled men, even in the ministry of Jesus Christ. Now, just think back. There was a time when Peter was allowing his mouth, his tongue, and his mind. Remember this. He was allowing his mouth, his tongue, and his mind to be controlled by Satan, and Jesus turned straight to Peter and he said what? He said to Peter, get thee behind me who? Satan. Okay. So now, we have the same identical thing going on here in Ezekiel chapter 28.
Here's a man, the king of Tyrus, who allowed Satan to come and control and infiltrate his life, becoming a type of Satan, almost, almost like a Satan incarnate. Exactly as the antichrist will be this will be Satan incarnate, exactly as Judas Iscariot was Satan incarnate. It was Jesus who said of Judas, he is a devil. Remember that? He said, he is a devil. He didn't say he was filled with a devil. He didn't say he was of the devil. He said he is a devil. Alright. So we have the same kind of situation going on here. Alright. Verse 13 is we continue on.
Thou has been in Eden, the garden of God. Every precious stone was thy covering. Alright. So he he was a creature made in immense beauty, immense wonderment. It goes on. The the sardius, topaz, the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold. The workmanship of thy tablets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou was created. So it's no wonder that he's called the angel of light. It's no wonder that he's called the god of this world. No wonder that he's called the prince of the power of the air.
No wonder it's he who is in charge of the municipalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth. Alright. Now now now there there are several different kinds of angelic beings. Alright? If you go to Isaiah chapter six, you read about, you read about the the seraphim. The seraphim are they're they're they're an angelic type of being. They're created by God. They have six wings. A cherub has two wings. And by the way, any other angel that you read about in your bible has no wings. Zero. None.
Now, of course, that kind of blows the mind or or or at least the conception of the modern artist who like to sit around and, you know, paint their religious pictures. You know, he always has this, right, you remember that, he always has the little angel with the wings, right? But in your bible, the average ordinary angel has a man like appearance. Some people say that that he looks like a 33 year old man. Now I don't necessarily believe believe that, but that's what some people say. But you can find description of angels as appearing as men all throughout the word of God. Right? There were two men that appeared, that who appeared to Abraham.
Right? But they were but they were angels. And the Bible says they were men. Even even Satan was referred to in Ezekiel as a man. Alright. So so in other words, he could assume a man like appearance. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth, and I have set thee so. Thou was alright. Now past tense, wast, w a s t, wast, past tense. Thou wast upon the holy mountain of God. Thou has walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou was perfect in in thy ways from the day that thou was created till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise, they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned. Therefore, I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God, and I will destroy thee, oh, covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty. Thou has corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness.
I will cast thee to the ground. I will lay thee before kings that have that they may behold thee. Thou has defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities. By the iniquities of thy traffic, therefore, will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee. It shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. There was a time in eternity past, whenever that was, when Lucifer, the cherub that covers Satan, was given a position of tremendous preeminence in heaven. He covered the earth.
He was a king. He ruled over the affairs of men, over the affairs of the earth, but he lifted up his heart in pride. Because of his beauty and because of his wisdom. Isaiah chapter 14 has, Isaiah, in fact, chapter 14 is really a record of the fall of Satan. Now Isaiah 14 may also be prophetic in in in a sense. It probably is a description of the ultimate fall of Satan, you know, when God cast him at the lake of fire, forever and ever. But certainly in type in type, it's a picture of what transpired in the past. When he said five times, I will ascend above the most high. I will ascend in the stars of heaven, in the North. I I I will be like God. I will. I will. I will. And God said, no. You won't, and he cast him down. Satan's domain was the earth. He ruled over the earth in that he covered it.
He was one of the five cherubs, also called beasts or creatures in the word of God. And interestingly enough, when you get to Revelation, and and we'll study it when we get there over in chapter four, you're given a picture of the throne of God, and you have four beasts. Right? One of them has been eliminated. The one that was eliminated is the one we're talking about right now, Lucifer. The original Earth, the domain of Satan. And I'm certain it was a perfect creation. I'm certain of it. Now, I'm not a scientist. I don't pretend to be one.
And actually, I get a little a little annoyed when when when people constantly try to make their bible conform to the findings of science. You know, I don't really care, to be quite honest with you, if my Bible conforms to science or not. The Bible has proven itself to me enough to where I can just believe it. Science, honestly, science really hasn't proven a whole lot of anything to me, except that men continue to die. Men continue to kill themselves. The only thing that science has proved to me is that man continues to find better ways and more efficient ways to kill each other. The truth of the matter is, you know, for for for those that are intellectually stimulated, science has never turned up a fact that contradicts the bible.
You know, I don't I'm sure, you know, they've concocted stories, a lot of theories, but no facts. No fact. The fact of the matter is this, you can depend upon the Bible. You can depend upon your Bible. A real scientist will assume that the Bible is right until it's proven conclusively wrong. But you see, the the assumption of most scientists today is that the Bible is wrong, and continue to be wrong, and will continue to be wrong until proven correct. Now by all theory, you know, in in the in if if you if you went by, you know, the courts the court of law, you know, a man is found innocent until proven guilty.
But you see, when it comes to the when it comes time for men to judge the Bible, that whole dictum is reversed, isn't it? The Bible is guilty until proven innocent. Well, you know what folks? My approach is that this Bible is innocent. The Bible is true, and you can depend on it. People have been trying to prove it guilty for a long, long time, but they've not been successful. Alright. I'm gonna get off my soapbox there. Alright. So, back to the matter at hand here. What we see is an original creation. Alright? And of course, you know, people come up and say, but what about the dinosaurs? What about all these prehistoric monsters? What about prehistoric man?
Alright. Well, let's just back up a second here. Alright. The truth of the matter is, how much evidence really is there for prehistoric animals? How much evidence is there? Did you ever go to the Museum of Natural History? I went to the Museum of Natural History in New York. They have this amazing, amazing displays. They have skeletons of dinosaurs that are bigger than a than a than a than a than a church building. They're enormous. They're impressive. That you really honestly, you walk around, you can't help but walk and go, oh, look at that, you know. I mean, that thing actually roamed the face of the Earth. And then there's some guy usually there, oh, yeah, about 60,000,000 years ago, you know, we we found we found over here in the strata, you know, we found it over here.
Of course, that strata thing is just circular reasoning. You say, professor, how do you know it's it's he's 60,000,000 years old? Well, because, you know, we found him in the strata, you know, ten ten layers down. Well, well, how do you know the strata 10 layers down is 60,000,000 years old? Well, because we found the dinosaurs in it. I mean, say that again? You know? But that's the kind of reasoning. You know, I I read a story some some years ago about this, down in the Mississippi Delta toward, somewhere in around Louisiana. They were digging along and and and they they they they were getting down, like, whatever it was, like 26 strata. And it was getting it was getting exciting, you know, and they found they sound found some bones, and they and they say that, they said that there was those around 80,000,000 years old, and, you know, it was getting exciting, and the scientists were kinda coming from all over the country, and they were bringing the TV cameras, and they would and there was one guy digging, and all of a sudden he heard clunk, clunk.
And he hit something very very hard, and man everybody was getting excited. They were like, oh, this could be it, you know. We could have maybe this is the missing link, you know. Here it is, the missing link. We've got it. We've got it. And they started to dig. Frantically, they were digging, and they started to filter all the dirt through this little screen. You ever see them do that? They they filter it through the screen there, and and and and and then they slowly dug around, and and they finally got it uncovered.
There it was. You know what they found? Honest truth. Look it up. You know what they found? A Johnson 10 horse motor. So I'm not kidding. And by the way, that was in the 80,000,000 year level. It's amazing how Neanderthal man got around. Right? So, you know, back at the Natural History Museum, when I I used to work in New York, and I worked for New York, you guys know that. And, you know, every now and then we'd have to do details over at the Natural History Museum, and and I had to go to event to an event, and, that was being held there. And, after the presentations, you know, some of my colleagues and I, we we we kind of wandered around, and I asked one of the people that work there. I said, hey, can you tell me, like, how much of this, you know, all these bones, you know, are are are how much of this did you actually find?
How many of these bones are actually just manufactured? And how much of this is real? How much of it is is how much of it isn't? You know? That was my question. And he said, well, you know, you know, quite a bit of it, you know, quite a bit of it's real. But the bottom line of it was when he finally gave me an answer, do you know how many real bones they they found to construct one of these displays that they put up there? There wasn't even enough bones to put into a bushel basket. Now look, maybe there were dinosaurs, maybe there wasn't. I don't know. I don't know.
But I'll tell you what. If there if there were, the original creation may have been a good place for them. No? See, I find no conflict with that in my bible. Maybe there were some running around before the flood. Maybe there were. I don't know. Maybe god didn't bring all the animals into the ark. Maybe he decided to let a few of them drown. I don't I don't know. I don't I don't know. But if in fact there were, there's no problem. There's no problem whatsoever. Every indication in the word of God is that there was a previous civilization of some kind.
But because of the fall, because the king of that world who lifted up his heart in pride, what was once at the top end of the universe covering the throne of God was literally flung down to the bottom end of the of the galaxy, and and the the the bottom end of the solar system. And that's where the Earth is today in comparison to the constellations and the galaxies that that are all out there, you know. You know, down at the very bottom end, hence, that's why God said that the Earth Do you remember this? God said, I forgot about it. God said that the Earth would be his footstool. Didn't he?
And that's where we are. That's where we are. The king over the earth was Lucifer. Then people ask you, well, how is that we can know for sure that we're looking at a a recreation? Well, what follows over in Genesis chapter one is, what is is, we have a creation and then a fall, a chaotic condition. Satan being deposed, he becomes the prince of the power of the air, and what follows is light, the firmament, dry land, solar light, fish and fowl, animal, animal and man, and the Sabbath day. And what follows in and what follows in Genesis chapter one is a recreation. Well, how can we know that for sure?
You know, you could actually pick up a lot of Christian, you know, scientific oriented literature that, they really don't know they really don't wanna believe that, to be honest with you. What they try and what they try to do is they try to funnel all of history into the last six or seven thousand years. And some of that information is actually put out by some good people, you know, and and they they have some other, like, excellent information. Henry Morris, and his, was the Institute of Creation Research, you know, when it comes to to blasting evolution on a scientific basic, they're terrific. They're fantastic.
They have some really good hot information. You can read a book by by by a man named, Clotz. I I think it's Clotz, who wrote a book called, Genesys and Evolution. That's red hot, dude. That's that's good stuff. That's really good stuff. When it when it comes to scientific scientific information, that'll just put evolution out of the ballpark, man. Mr. Klotz, his book will do it for you. His book will do it. But, all of those men make one common mistake. One common mistake. They have it in their head that ultimately, it's not gonna be the word of God that's gonna be the final authority, but it's gonna be science that'll be the final authority. So somehow, they try to mold scripture to what science says.
You know, maybe there are some things out there that science says that I just don't understand and can't explain. So what? So what? I'll still believe my Bible. I'll still believe my you know, there was a time four hundred or five hundred years ago where science said the world was flat, and it is. The scientific minds in the world said that's wrong. The scientific minds in the in the world said, the world is round. But, of course, if you read your Bible, it says that the lord sitteth upon the circle of the earth. Doesn't say globe, doesn't say ball, it's a circle, a coin.
If I had a quarter here, I'd show it to you. A coin is a circle. Right? A quarter is a circle. Think about the ancient Egyptians. Brilliant people. I mean, you don't build you don't build pyramids like they build without some kind of smart, you know. You have to understand some principles of geometry, astronomy, advanced mathematics to build one of those things. But they concluded that the earth sits on the back of a giant tortoise that swims in a great sea, and every time you have an earthquake, it's because a tortoise is getting some rough water. You know, the oldest book in your bible is is the book of Job, and it was written, you know, before the Egyptians built the pyramids.
You know what you know what the book of Job says? The book the book of Job says, the lord hangeth the earth upon nothing. How about that? Think about that. Before NASA, before all those the lord hangeth upon the Earth the lord hangeth the earth upon nothing.

think it was in 1955 or 1956, the University of Michigan, Medical Center came up with an astounding fact. And they they put a lot of work into the immense hours of research, large amounts of money, and what they said what they said was that they had discovered that on the eighth day after birth, a human body has more natural antibodies to fight infection and bacteria in it than any other time in your life. We don't understand why, but for some peculiar reason, on the eighth day after birth, that's a fact. Well, hoorah for science. Yay, science. Go science.
But way back here in the old testament, in the Pentateuch under the law, God said to Moses, I want you to circumcise your baby boys on the eighth day after birth. That's just a coincidence. Right? I don't always understand it, but I know one thing, if you just hang on in time, God will reveal it to you. He'll reveal it might not be until the judgment seat of Christ, but he'll reveal it to you. I just wanna show you a couple more things, and then we'll close it for today. Alright? When we get to Genesis chapter one, we have a week of creation. We have a week of creation, and there is evidence that it was a recreation.
Now, keep in mind that we have a guy here who thinks he's a king. Alright. Now, who am I talking about? Oh, I'm talking about Lucifer, Satan, the devil. Okay? God gave him dominion over a physical earth, as well as a spiritual realm, for there were spiritual beings who are under his dominion and authority. And we see those spirits, those spirit beings over in the book of Job, when the sons of God, whoever they are, whatever they are, accompany Satan up to the throne of God to verbally assault Job. So he's a king. He's a king.
What we have here as a main theme of your Bible is the subject of kingdoms. Kingdoms. The look, the main theme of your bible is not salvation. Hate to tell you that. But the main theme of your bible is not salvation. I'm I'm glad salvation's in there. Praise the Lord for it. Don't misunderstand. But you know something? The main theme of your bible is kingdoms. Who is going to rule who? You know, it it I mean, it's it's too bad that the governments of the world can't figure that out. They're all trying to figure out how to have peace. Right?
If Donald Trump, thank God for him, brought an end to eight conflicts around the world working on number nine. The subject of your Bible is kingdoms, and Satan was ousted out of a kingdom. Now, the next time we get into the study, next Sunday, we're gonna we're gonna see how he was bent on getting that kingdom back. But as and as we move ahead, we're also gonna see how man's, we're gonna see man's responsibility, man's disobedience, man's judgment in every dispensation according to tracing in in addition to tracing the kingdoms, and we're gonna see how the battle for the kingdoms mold and shape, and and and and and how over the, six thousand years of humanity, as as Satan and man, the men that God have appoint has appointed have battled back and forth for the kingdoms, and how that thing in itself shaped and molded history. We're gonna see all of that as we go through the study.
God told Adam to have dominion over all creation, and he gave him dominion over the fish and the fowl and and and so on. And then Adam fell, and Satan got the kingdom back. God told Noah to have dominion over it. Then Noah fell, and Satan got the king the kingdom back. By and by, god approached a man named Abraham, and he made him an unconditional covenant. An unconditional covenant. God told Abraham that he was gonna make a covenant of grace with him, and it would be on unconditional. He said that the covenant will not just be with Abraham, but with his seed.
And from then from that day forward, the assault came not upon the individual, but upon the seed itself. I mean, have you ever wondered why? Do you ever think about this? Do you ever wonder why the empires of the world always looked at at the Jew as the problem? And man, you hear a lot about that today in in the in the in the media. Have you ever wondered why during the Spanish inquisition, the Roman Catholic church, and and all the rest of them decided that the Jew was the problem? Have you ever wondered why the Babylonian Empire decided that the Jew was the problem?
Have you ever wondered why the Syrian Empire decided that the Jew was the problem? Have you ever wondered why the Romans decided that the Jew was the problem? The Bible has literally shaped history. Have you ever wondered why that little thousand mile equilateral triangle over there in the Middle East that God promised Abraham back in Genesis chapter 15 has had more wars and battles fought on it than all the rest of the Earth put together. The Valley Of Megiddo in Israel where the battle of Armageddon will take place is called the crossroads of the world. There have been more battles fought in that valley than in any other place on the face of the earth. You follow that thing through the word of God, and by the time you get done, you'll have a real appreciation for why and for what has taken place over the years and why.
Alright. Now let me show you this and then we'll quit. Alright. Go back to Genesis chapter one if you if you left the book. Genesis chapter one. I'm gonna show you why I believe that what we're looking at is a recreation. Alright. Now, some people are gonna point you to Jeremiah chapter four. Jeremiah chapter four is is is probably tribulation. Alright. So people look at Isaiah 14, but, you know, that's a little bit shaky also. Ezekiel 28 does show us that that Satan was a king in times past, but I wanna show you something. Alright? Genesis chapter one. Let's get back to that. Genesis chapter one.
Not wrong one. Let's get back over here. Genesis chapter one. In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light, and there was not and there was light. Okay? Now this is a this is a cosmic type of light. Alright? It's not the light of the heavens that were created on the fourth day, solar light and then, you know, and you have the two different lights. The Psalmist tells you that. Alright? In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth, and the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, let there be light, and there was light. Now I want you to notice in verse four, God said that the light was good.
Alright? Let's go to verse let's go to verse six. Alright. Verse six. And God said, let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God made the firmament and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so. And God called the firmament heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. Alright. Now, there's a lot to unpack there. There really is. There's a lot to unpack there. The firmament.
I don't know if I should get into it now or not, but well, you know, let me just go on with this. Alright. Well, let's do it this way. Okay. Let let me let me phrase it this way. Alright. What's going on here is the the is this chaotic earth is engulfed in water. Water. God calls it the face of the deep. Think about this. The whole thing is immersed in water, and God divides the waters from the waters, and he he pushes some of the water to the top of the universe, and he pushes some of the water to the bottom of the universe, and the and the very solar system that we operate in today is surrounded by water. God divided the waters from the waters.
Do you know what's before the throne of God? It's called a sea of glass. Satan goes up and down through that thing, and and Job chapter 41 says that he makes it boil like a pot of ointment, and he's called a Leviathan. Alright? Now here's what I want you to notice. I want you to go down to verse nine. And God said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear, and so it was, and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering of the waters the gathering together of the waters, she called Seas.
And god saw that it was good. Alright? Great. You have your bible there, I hope, because I didn't I don't I didn't pull screenshots for this, but here we go. Go down to verse 12. Ends it by saying, and it was good. Verse 18, and God saw that it was good. Verse 21, and God saw that it was good that it was good. You go all the way down through every one of these days, and you have the comment, God saw that it was good, except one. Except one. God never says it was good about the second day. Look at the verse, Verse eight and nine.
And God called the firmament heaven, and the evening and the morning were the second day. And God said, let the waters under the heaven be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear, and it was so. God refuses to attest to the fact that the day that he created the firmament, that is the day that he divided the waters from the waters when he created literally the constellations, the galaxies, the solar, all that stuff. God never said that it was good. You see it? He never said that it was good. He created it, but he didn't say that it was good.
Do you know why? Do you know why? Because he couldn't. He couldn't. Do you know why he couldn't? Because it's it's the domain of Satan. That's why. That's why. That's see, that's why I don't like to fly. Truth, honestly, I don't I don't like to fly. That's no. Thank you. You know, I get nervous enough just climbing a ladder. Doesn't the Bible say that he's the prince of the power of the air? That's it. That's it. You know? When when when you study your Bible, and this is something that I had to learn, and I and I thank God that I kinda learned it early on. But when you study your Bible, you need to watch for what isn't there just as much as you're watching for what is there.
He was already there. He was a Leviathan in the sea, making it to boil like a pot of ointment, went up and down through it, and then God divided it, and now he is the prince of the power of the air. He is in high places, as Isaiah 24 says. And then over in Genesis chapter one and verse 28, And God bless them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and of the fowl of the air, and every other living thing that moveth upon the earth. Alright? Replenish. That word right there, replenish.
The dictionary defen definition of replenish is to recover former fullness. Replenish, replenish, replenish. God says, let's replenish. Let's replenish the original creation. Let's do it again. Alright. Now all of this, like, I'm telling stuff, this stuff is is important because we're gonna end up referring back to this from time to time throughout the course of the study. Now, next week, we're gonna talk about the dispensation of innocence. Alright? We're gonna talk about dispensation of innocence. How God put man upon the earth, and what man's responsibility was, what his disobedience was, and what his judgment was.
And then, once we're when we're finished with that, and then we're gonna begin to trace the kingdoms as we go through the word of God. Alright? Heavenly father, we wanna thank you for the day. Thank you, Lord, for the blessings and the teachings and preaching of your word. God, thank you so much for opening up our eyes and helping us to study so we may show ourselves a proven to God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, but by rightly dividing the word of truth. Father, help us as we go through these studies. Lord, give us, wisdom to see and to understand the truth of thy word, and we'll thank you for it. In the precious name of our savior, the lord Jesus Christ, we do pray.
