I really hope you guys had a great week. I really do. And, you know, before we even get anywhere further with the opening of the show here, I know it's not even a minute in. I have a very, very important thing I need to announce here, and that goes out to my sister, Laura. I just wanted to wish you a very, very happy birthday. I know it was yesterday, but, you know, didn't do the show yesterday, so we're doing it today. And, here we are. Happy birthday. I wish you the best. I love you. And, looking forward to being able to, get together with you and and Jude and having a great, having a great time. So, again, happy birthday to my sister, Laura. And, folks, have you been following the news?
You know, it's been thirty eight days since the election, and it's what is it? It's thirty six days until inauguration day. Is is that right? Yeah. Thirty six days. And Donald Trump has done more to improve the standing of America on the world stage than Joe Biden has done, well, ever. The level of respect and admiration that that that's being shown to Donald Trump by world leaders has been absolutely incredible. You know, the Trump effect. And I don't know if you've been, following the news with, the reopening of the the cathedral in Notre Dame. Just the the the respect that Donald Trump has been given.
Everyone on their feet smiles all over, firm handshakes, firm pats on the back, and you compare that to when Joe Biden, comes creeping around. The the level of respect is just the difference in a level of respect is just blatantly obvious. You know, you sit, you watch the media, and you you watch the Liberals, meltdown over all of his cabinet picks. That's a joy, isn't it? That's an absolute joy. So things are looking better. Things are I mean, you know, the stock market's doing better already, and Donald Trump has not even been inaugurated yet. He's already, been in in talks with with Russia, Ukraine to bring an end to, that conflict.
The, the Palestinians and the Israelis, he's already involved in that, and that's that's, you know, lord willing coming to a close. But you know what? There's still a lot of work to do. There is still a lot of work to do, and we cannot lose focus on things here at home. Yes. It's great. Things are going well abroad. Things are going well overseas. But really, honestly, that's that's not our concern. You know, I'm not an isolationist. I don't think we shouldn't be involved in in world in affairs. However, I think it should be, it should be carefully looked at before we get into involved. Does it directly affect the national interest of this country?
And if the answer to that is there's no direct effect on us, stay out of it. What's going on right now in Syria, with the Assad, regime, crumbling and toppling, I understand that Assad right now is in, in Russia, for for asylum. That's not something that The United States should be involved in. I'm sorry. I don't think we should have boots on the ground there. I don't think we should have any involvement in whatsoever. It's a strictly internal affair. It's something strictly internal that need to be taken care of by the Syrians. It's not us. It's not our responsibility to be the policeman of the world.
Now with that said, again, there's a lot of work to do. I'm happy if things are working out, and I'm happy that the level of respect that, that's being afforded to The United States now because of Donald Trump is is in place. I I I'm I'm thrilled at that. But, folks, we have a lot of work to do here at home. A lot of work. We have still an open porous border. I live in Eagle Pass. I have the border is not far from where I live. It's an open porous border all the way through. It's that's that still is an issue that needs to be dealt with. And, yes, I agree with Donald Trump. There should be mass deportations.
Absolutely. If you are in this country illegally, you need to go. You need to go home. So I I I firmly agree with, with Tom Homan. I firmly agree with with Donald Trump and their policy and his policy of deporting mass deportations. I I am fully in support of that and needs to happen and needs to happen starting day one. Plain and simple. Just like the j six, folks that are that are still locked up, they need to be pardoned. They need to be allowed to go home. They've been locked up since for four years. Four years, they've been locked up. For what? For ex for for for walking through the capital.
Not doing any damage, not hurting anybody, not doing just walking through the and people who haven't who weren't even there or didn't even go into the Capitol were just there. It's it's crazy. These people need to be pardoned and need to be pardoned on day one. There is much work to do here at home. We have midterms we need to look forward to, and we need to start focusing our attention there. You know, right now, we have a very slim majority in the house, the house of representatives. And, you know, with with, you know, corrupt states like California still thirty eight days after an election counting, ballots, you know, who knows?
By the time inauguration day, they'll come, maybe they'll they'll steal another couple of seats and then take the majority. Who knows? But we have a very slim majority in the house as it is as it stands right now. And what we need to do is we need to focus on primary and removing from office as many of these, you know, Republican in name only, these rhinos as we possibly can. You know, the first two years of Trump's administration, it'll be critical in getting his his agenda pushed through because of that slim majority. It's gonna be a lot of hard work, but it has to go through. We have to put a lot of pressure on our elected representatives to follow through on these campaign promises, to follow through with with, president Trump's agenda.
Now when it comes to the senate, we don't really have to worry about that too much because we do have a I think we have a four seat advantage right now, in the senate and or three three seat event or four seat advantage, but we have an advantage. And, even if it comes down to a tie vote, we have the tie breaking vote in JD Vance. So we need to keep the pressure on and we need to look to the midterms. At the House of Reps, we need to look at those. We need to flip more seats. We need a bigger majority. Otherwise, all the work and all the promises that that, that president Trump has made is gonna is gonna be even harder to get pushed through.

Well, I mean, not anymore. Because, the guy that I think should have won, won. Mhmm. But in a sense, yeah, like, I would like to participate in the the the decision making. Yeah. And I have I have those times that I go into, you know, times where I'm like, man. Nothing matters. Like, who cares? Who votes? You know, it's everything's gonna be the same. And, I mean, I still kinda have that attitude every once in a while. And I I think it's right, I mean, in my opinion. But but but there is there is a significant difference between both parties now, You know, at least at least in the moral side of it.
You know, let let's say maybe not, you know, in in everything else or although there is, but more in the moral side of it. That that's that's what I do. You know? That that's how I think about it more in the moral side of it. Obviously, I care about the economy because I also go in, you know, go into Walmart and everywhere and purchase stuff, and, it's expensive. But Say the least. But, yeah, morally, I think, Democratic Party is bankrupt and that that that plays a big role in the people. But going back to your question, yeah, I'd like to participate a little more. I'll tell you something, man. Bet you anything that if residents dude, I bet you anything that if illegal immigrants could vote, they would vote for Trump.

No. Really. I know a lot of illegal immigrants that like Trump. I hope nobody from, from, border patrol is anyways, I mean, you know what I'm saying? I'm telling you, man. I'm telling you. At least at least Mexicans, I I don't wanna speak for for anybody else because, you know, because I'm, you know, I'm more of, I I get along I don't get along. I know more Mexicans than Hondurans or whatever, you know, Salvadorans. I I don't know what they think. I'm pretty sure that they're kind of the same. But at least for Mexicans, there's a lot of us that that want Trump to win. Mhmm. And I think you saw it on the election. I think it was 10% more on the side of men, Hispanic men. 10% more voted for Trump than the last time. You know, I might be a little off there, but I think it was 10%. And I think it was a total of, what, 47, 40 eight percent of Hispanics voted for Trump?

Yeah. It was 48%. Somewhere around there? 48%. That's that's a lot. It's almost half. Yeah. And actually, he's up he was up, I think, it was, like, 20 percentage points, if I'm not mistaken. From last time? Yeah. From the previous, election series, cycle. Yeah.

One of the interesting things telling you, man, illegal immigrants would vote for Trump.

Maybe. Possibly. Possibly. Yeah. Uh-uh. The the problem is, though, is the Democrats, and, of course, they're trying to purchase, you know, votes, you know, from from Right. Illegals coming across by promising them the world, you know, giving them all these I'm not saying let's do it. I'm just telling you that No. No. No. No. I know what you mean. I I totally know what you mean. But, one of the one of the really interesting things that I, I've I've noticed, after this election cycle was how, Maverick County here, where I am, voted heavily red this this cycle.
59% of Maverick County voted red, which is which is amazing. But but then again, it also follows the trend. The last the previous two election cycles, it's gone up from 30 something percent to 40 something percent, now 59%. And the fact that that, that it went red all across this whole border region from, you know, Valverde, That's true. Maverick County and so on and so forth. I mean, that that that it's in itself is a message that I think that, that that folks are sending to the Democratic party. I mean, we do not want open borders. We do not want people just flooding through here. It's it's not only unsafe for, for the, for the illegal migrants coming through, but it's but you're jeopardizing the lives and the safety of United States citizens.
You're you're jeopardizing the life and safety of of of people who live in these border towns, you know. Totally right. You know, it's a Totally right. It's a horrendous thing when you hear the stories about, you know, like, I I know folks that are that work for border patrol. And, you know, they they they've told me stories about finding, you know, infants and babies and children, toddlers drowned, you know, in in in the Rio Grande. And that's horrible. You don't want that. The fault of that even though even though, folks in in in authority blame you and me Yeah. For it, because we're so we're so heartless and so mean, and we don't let these people come in. They're actually the ones that, that that are causing all of this by throwing those borders open up open like that. And, I was talking earlier with someone and and and made a very good point, you know.
The, the, the the traffickers, the the the the coyotes that that are bringing peoples down to the border, they're just dropping them off. These folks don't know what what they're crossing into. They don't know the currents. They don't know how how deep portions of the river are. They they have no idea about these things and they're just dropping them off. And they're saying go go ahead go go go. And

And he started shooting shooting them, and he killed he killed several women, several children. And I don't know if he killed any of the men. I I I do remember hearing about this. Yeah. Yeah. So I, I saw a video of this lady that supports him in jail and takes takes, takes money, gives him money in jail, and it's it's this whole group of support that he has.
Okay? So I posted a video kinda giving my opinion that nobody asked me for. You know? But I still did it. You know? I I saw it as a little weird that somebody is is supporting a criminal like that. I mean, you can, but you have to have extenuating circumstances to to own a firearm in New York City. You have to be transporting, I forgot the dollar amount on a daily basis. We have to be some kind of like a jewel merchant. And even and even if you do manage somehow to get a a a permit, all you get what they call a premise permit with a target endorsement, which means that you can have you can have a firearm in your home, but you can't take it out unless you're transporting it to and from, a a target a range.
And when it's in your home or being in transit, it has to be completely disassembled, separate from all the ammunition. So, you know, and and then they charge you That defeats the purpose. Totally. Totally defeats it. And then on on top of that, you know, the the the fees, the licensing, the requirements in order to get a permit in New York is just is just prohibitive. Totally prohibitive. I know this is that's a minor that's might be a minor thing to a lot of people, but to other people that's that's important. The the right and the ability to defend yourself. Plus, you know, New York is is just ridiculously expensive. And I mean I mean, I know it's expensive everywhere right now, especially, you know, even here in even here in Eagle Pass. It's it's, you know, I went to HEB the other day and spent, spent a hundred and 50 to a hundred and 56 and change.
And I had I had three three bags with, like, barely the basics just to just to fill the fridge. And it and even that didn't fill the fridge, you know.

And, folks, have you been following the news?
You know, it's been thirty eight days since the election, and it's what is it? It's thirty six days until inauguration day. Is is that right? Yeah. Thirty six days. And Donald Trump has done more to improve the standing of America on the world stage than Joe Biden has done, well, ever. The level of respect and admiration that that that's being shown to Donald Trump by world leaders has been absolutely incredible. You know, the Trump effect. And I don't know if you've been, following the news with, the reopening of the the cathedral in Notre Dame. Just the the the respect that Donald Trump has been given.
Everyone on their feet smiles all over, firm handshakes, firm pats on the back, and you compare that to when Joe Biden, comes creeping around. The the level of respect is just the difference in a level of respect is just blatantly obvious. You know, you sit, you watch the media, and you you watch the Liberals, meltdown over all of his cabinet picks. That's a joy, isn't it? That's an absolute joy. So things are looking better. Things are I mean, you know, the stock market's doing better already, and Donald Trump has not even been inaugurated yet. He's already, been in in talks with with Russia, Ukraine to bring an end to, that conflict.
The, the Palestinians and the Israelis, he's already involved in that, and that's that's, you know, lord willing coming to a close. But you know what? There's still a lot of work to do. There is still a lot of work to do, and we cannot lose focus on things here at home. Yes. It's great. Things are going well abroad. Things are going well overseas. But really, honestly, that's that's not our concern. You know, I'm not an isolationist. I don't think we shouldn't be involved in in world in affairs. However, I think it should be, it should be carefully looked at before we get into involved. Does it directly affect the national interest of this country?
And if the answer to that is there's no direct effect on us, stay out of it. What's going on right now in Syria, with the Assad, regime, crumbling and toppling, I understand that Assad right now is in, in Russia, for for asylum. That's not something that The United States should be involved in. I'm sorry. I don't think we should have boots on the ground there. I don't think we should have any involvement in whatsoever. It's a strictly internal affair. It's something strictly internal that need to be taken care of by the Syrians. It's not us. It's not our responsibility to be the policeman of the world.
Now with that said, again, there's a lot of work to do. I'm happy if things are working out, and I'm happy that the level of respect that, that's being afforded to The United States now because of Donald Trump is is in place. I I I'm I'm thrilled at that. But, folks, we have a lot of work to do here at home. A lot of work. We have still an open porous border. I live in Eagle Pass. I have the border is not far from where I live. It's an open porous border all the way through. It's that's that still is an issue that needs to be dealt with. And, yes, I agree with Donald Trump. There should be mass deportations.
Absolutely. If you are in this country illegally, you need to go. You need to go home. So I I I firmly agree with, with Tom Homan. I firmly agree with with Donald Trump and their policy and his policy of deporting mass deportations. I I am fully in support of that and needs to happen and needs to happen starting day one. Plain and simple. Just like the j six, folks that are that are still locked up, they need to be pardoned. They need to be allowed to go home. They've been locked up since for four years. Four years, they've been locked up. For what? For ex for for for walking through the capital.
Not doing any damage, not hurting anybody, not doing just walking through the and people who haven't who weren't even there or didn't even go into the Capitol were just there. It's it's crazy. These people need to be pardoned and need to be pardoned on day one. There is much work to do here at home. We have midterms we need to look forward to, and we need to start focusing our attention there. You know, right now, we have a very slim majority in the house, the house of representatives. And, you know, with with, you know, corrupt states like California still thirty eight days after an election counting, ballots, you know, who knows?
By the time inauguration day, they'll come, maybe they'll they'll steal another couple of seats and then take the majority. Who knows? But we have a very slim majority in the house as it is as it stands right now. And what we need to do is we need to focus on primary and removing from office as many of these, you know, Republican in name only, these rhinos as we possibly can. You know, the first two years of Trump's administration, it'll be critical in getting his his agenda pushed through because of that slim majority. It's gonna be a lot of hard work, but it has to go through. We have to put a lot of pressure on our elected representatives to follow through on these campaign promises, to follow through with with, president Trump's agenda.
Now when it comes to the senate, we don't really have to worry about that too much because we do have a I think we have a four seat advantage right now, in the senate and or three three seat event or four seat advantage, but we have an advantage. And, even if it comes down to a tie vote, we have the tie breaking vote in JD Vance. So we need to keep the pressure on and we need to look to the midterms. At the House of Reps, we need to look at those. We need to flip more seats. We need a bigger majority. Otherwise, all the work and all the promises that that, that president Trump has made is gonna is gonna be even harder to get pushed through.

I mean, that that that it's in itself is a message that I think that, that that folks are sending to the Democratic party. I mean, we do not want open borders. We do not want people just flooding through here. It's it's not only unsafe for, for the, for the illegal migrants coming through, but it's but you're jeopardizing the lives and the safety of United States citizens.

So I, I saw a video of this lady that supports him in jail and takes takes, takes money, gives him money in jail, and it's it's this whole group of support that he has.

Like MTV news and all that stuff back in the day when MTV was MTV. And then, another podcast out there is called Podcasting two point o. Two great podcasts about podcasts and and news, current events, and so on and so forth. Another good podcast too, by the way, is, my friend Barry puts it out. It's a podcast called About Podcasting. And talks with different hosts, you know, across the spectrum of podcast. Really good stuff. So check out check those out. Those those are really great. But I might have to check it out, man. No. You should. For sure. For sure. I'll I'll send you links to it along the way. But, the the one of the things that they were talking about is the the latest trend in podcast that are gonna really that there that more folks are starting to do and it's it's and it's really been very successful, with podcasting is that they do local podcasts.
So they do a podcast a podcast that's that focuses focuses on a specific area. Like, for example, there's a podcast out there called called Pod Angeles. It's all about things going on in Los Angeles. Here here in Texas, there's one, what's it called? It's called the,

It's called Central Texas Events. And and all it is is all about the different things going on in in in in Central Texas. There's another podcast out there, what's the name of it? I think it's called Now You Know or something like that, where they talk about, local politics down in the in the South Texas area. So that might be something, you know, for you to to look into. Oh, yeah. Maybe get some ideas from there. Yeah. But not only that though, but to do a podcast in your area about stuff like that. Right. Local things. And in in a in a indirectly kinda in an indirect kinda way, we're I'm trying to do that with this podcast. Yeah. That, you know, we're gonna we're gonna, you know, focus on a lot of local things, but, you know, we're also gonna talk about state issues and and and, federal issues. And, and and it's not always gonna be politics. It's gonna be a wide range of subjects.
So, you know, the the trend the last couple of shows we did is has been political. The first one the first interview that I did was all about podcasting and and, you know, and and and things like that. So it it's,

like I said, one of the one of the main trends right now is these local podcasts, and so you should look into that. You know? I mean, I think you have a lot of material in your in your area. Please I mean, you you need to go into the Kickapoo Casino or something.

And, Wow. Since since I've gotten here, the the changes that I've seen, the growth of Eagle Pass has has just been phenomenal. And, of course, with all of the political attention because of the border and and and whatnot, there's a lot of attention coming on Eagle. People wanna know what's going on here. And and so we're gonna do our very best with this podcast here to bring that information. Be awesome, dude. So, yeah, we'll see how it goes. you know, I'm not I'm not interviewing you, but what do you like about Texas, man? I don't think you've ever told me. What do I like about Texas? What do I what do I love? I mean, I don't wanna put you on the spot. Maybe you haven't thought about it. Sure. I have. But, is there something, you know, hey. You know, we didn't have this in New York. I I don't care what it is. If it's if it's a culture, if it's in restaurant, if it's food, if it's whatever it is. No. It's it's a it's a it's a little thing called freedom.

Yeah. Yeah. That that's what it is. It's it's that Oh, yeah. It's that, that that that, you know, unoppressive police state feeling that you get. You know, it's like, again, you know, I'm from New York. So anywhere you go in New York, you have every almost every light pole has an NYPD surveillance camera on you. They have cameras on the red lights. They have cameras on stop signs. They have cameras on the poles. They have, you know you know, it's it is so heavily regulated. You know, if if you fart the wrong way, you know, you can expect a fine to get dropped off in the mail, you know. I don't know if you ever saw, what was that movie, where Sylvester Stallone played a cop and he he gets arrest he gets convicted of a crime and they they deep freeze him and they thaw him out later on. Is that Demolition Man or something like that?
And then, yeah. Yeah. And every time he says a curse word or something like that, you know, Josh Spartan, you were fine for the violation of you know? Kinda like that? Yeah. That that's basically what it feels like, you know. To E. Smyth. You know, you you can't own a firearm in New York City. I mean, you can, but you have to have extenuating circumstances to to own a firearm in New York City. You have to be transporting, I forgot the dollar amount on a daily basis. We have to be some kind of like a jewel merchant. And even and even if you do manage somehow to get a a a permit, all you get what they call a premise permit with a target endorsement, which means that you can have you can have a firearm in your home, but you can't take it out unless you're transporting it to and from, a a target a range.
And when it's in your home or being in transit, it has to be completely disassembled, separate from all the ammunition. So, you know, and and then they charge you That defeats the purpose. Totally. Totally defeats it. And then on on top of that, you know, the the the fees, the licensing, the requirements in order to get a permit in New York is just is just prohibitive. Totally prohibitive. I know this is that's a minor that's might be a minor thing to a lot of people, but to other people that's that's important. The the right and the ability to defend yourself. Plus, you know, New York is is just ridiculously expensive. And I mean I mean, I know it's expensive everywhere right now, especially, you know, even here in even here in Eagle Pass. It's it's, you know, I went to HEB the other day and spent, spent a hundred and 50 to a hundred and 56 and change.
And I had I had three three bags with, like, barely the basics just to just to fill the fridge. And it and even that didn't fill the fridge, you know.

We go to a place called Sprouts and, you you if you wanna bang the grocery bag, it's 10¢.
