In this Bible Study Sunday, I reflect on the spirit of Thanksgiving, genuine friendship, and gratitude for our growing community. From there, we continue our multi-week series on dispensations, revisiting last week’s Passover study and moving into a doctrinal exploration of kingdoms, crowns, and the law—why the Bible devotes so much space to the rise and fall of governments, how Moses served as a king in Jeshurun, and how Israel was called to be a kingdom of priests. We trace the “path of the crowns” from Adam to Noah to Abraham to Moses, contrast the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God, and consider how amillennial approaches misplace hope in political reform rather than in Christ. Digging into Scripture (Deuteronomy 33, Exodus 4, Leviticus 26), we examine God’s covenant promises and warnings, the reality of divine blessing and discipline, and the persistent pattern of human collapse revealed in Judges. We discuss why Satan’s opposition broadened from individuals to an entire nation, why antisemitism recurs through history, and how God preserves Israel because of His unconditional covenant. Along the way, we touch on seven baptisms in Scripture, the difference between inspirational and doctrinal applications, and the sustaining hope of the rapture. The takeaway: only Jesus Christ—Prophet, Priest, and King—can restore what the first Adam lost, and our trust must be in Him, not in human systems. Join us next week as we begin tabernacle worship and how people were saved under the law.

Transmitting live from the asylum studios deep in the bowels of Southwest Texas, it's the Joe Ruge Show. The show where we talk about anything and everything. Where nothing is sacred, nothing is watered down,
[00:04:29] Unknown:
and nothing is PC. Alrighty. Hey, folks, this is Joe Roos, and it is great to be with you once again as we open up and study the precious word of God, your King James Bible. And you know something, folks, whenever and wherever you find yourself listening to us, it's always, always, always my prayer that you also find yourself in the grace and in the mercy of our Lord and savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. And, of course, as always, we are transmitting live once again from the asylum studios from the pimple on the backside of Texas, the beautiful city of Eagle Pass.
And folks, welcome to Bible Study Sunday on the Joe Ruse Show. Alright, folks. Man, I hope you guys are having a great weekend. I hope you really enjoyed this time, especially from Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for, and, I hope you, got to spend that time with your family, and, just, you know, just sit around and just talk about all the things that the Lord has blessed you with over the last year, over your life, and, to be able to just have that time of fellowship, and, just, you know, just spend that time together. That's that's that's always the blessing. It's, it's, it it's Thanksgiving happens to be probably one of my favorite holidays, if I if I could pick a favorite.
I mean, I I love Christmas. Don't get me wrong. Well, let me let me qualify that. I love what Christmas represents. I don't like what Christmas has become as far as the, the commercialization of it. You know you know what I'm saying? I love what it represents. It represents that that perfect gift that God the father gave mankind, and that it was God the son. And, that gift brought the gift of salvation. So it's it's it's a it's a beautiful, beautiful holiday. I love it. I love what it is spiritually, but I I I am lost on it commercially. And, and I think a lot of people are like that also. But Thanksgiving happens to be one of my favorites, not just for the fact that you get to sit around and eat some really great food, but, you know, it's, it's just a great time to be sit there and be thankful for the things that you have, and, the blessings that that that God has poured out upon you. You know, I'm thankful for a lot of stuff. We we talked a little bit about that stuff on Wednesday night.
We did a Thanksgiving eve type show in the second portion of the show, and, we had Ruben Camarillo from the Now You Know Eagle Pass podcast, join us. Just talk about some of the things that we're thankful for, and that that was a blessing. I I enjoyed that. It was, it was a lot of fun, and I I, you know, it's it made me think about a lot of different things. I thought about, over the last couple of days as well, and I had a good friend of mine, Chris and I were talking about this, and he he made a very good point. And that, you know, I'm thankful for the for the friends that I have in my life, that I have since childhood.
You know, it's not often that you you have the same friends that you grew up with, that you went to school with, you know, got into trouble with in the neighborhood, you know. And, you know, even though you lose contact with some of these folks over the course of the of of of the years, you know, like, for example, when when Chris and I reconnected, it was like no time passed. It was it was like we just picked up where we left off. That's friendship. That's that's what it's all about. And, that was it's a blessing to have him back in my life, and and also my friend Mike, and, you know, just just to and and and of course, you know, my my my good friend Eli, you know, who lives over in Israel, you know, it's, you know, the old crew, you know, the gang, so to speak. You know, Chris and I, we have these old, pictures that we had taken intentionally black and white pictures, and, you know, we we we shared them over the last couple of days as well. It was a lot of fun, you know, just thinking back, you know, all the stuff that we would do, and it was great, you know, and that's and I'm thankful for that. I'm thankful for what I have here with the show. I'm thankful for the success that we've had with the, with with the regular show during the week, and of course, our our our Sunday bible study show. It's been it's a blessing. It really is. And I I thoroughly enjoy doing this. I I love meeting with you folks, and and just having a good time, and, you know, trying to, you know, poke fun at things, and at the same time, you know, take some serious conversation down.
But we do a lot together, and it's a lot of fun, and I enjoy it. And I'm thankful for you. I'm thankful for each and every one of you that watches, whether it's live or whether it's it's it's, you download it later on the audio, whether you're listening live or you're listening it to it later. I I appreciate you. I'm thankful for you. And, you guys make it all worthwhile to, continue on doing this every day. And it's, you know, something we're gonna look forward to keep doing. You know, we we're over a year old now at at this point, and we've seen some really great progress over the last year that we've been doing this. Went from just doing no video, just audio, to doing as many shows as we do in the course of a week. So it's always it's a it's a blessing. It's a lot of fun to do it, and I and I and I hope I pray that we'll be able to continue on, and we'll be able to, even grow the audience some more, you know, get some more, get some more folks watching and listening.
So always always a lot of fun. And I hope you guys had a great week a a great time also. I hope you guys were able to really fellowship around around, you know, being thankful for what God has given you. And, you know, this it's also but it's also something you you shouldn't relegate to just one day a week one day a year. Do you know what I mean? It's it's something that you should be constantly thinking about. The thankfulness, that that you should have to to God for what he has given you. And, let's let's hope we don't lose track of that. Now, of course, over the last, oh, seven weeks, I think, or last seven, Sundays, we've been studying dispensations.
And, and I know that sometimes, you know, any subject that you you kinda stick around with for a little bit, you know, tends to get a little bit dull, especially when you're on it for a for a long period of time. We don't want that to happen here, of course. So, we try to keep it we try to keep it fluid, and try to keep it moving. Now, last week, we studied the Passover, if you remember that. And, our major applications were more of a of a of a practical or or inspirational, sort. So, that we could benefit in that way. What we're gonna do today is, we're gonna have to approach it from a doctrinal perspective.
Alright? Everybody ought to know all the bible doctrine they can. Even even though it's sometimes, you know, it seems a little bit dry. You need to know it. You ought to know it. And, hopefully, I'm helping you with that. And, and and by knowing some of your bible doctrine, or as much of the bible doctrine as you can, eventually, it'll help you. It will help you. You know, when when crunch time comes, and, you know, the guy who's got the most bible doctrine in his soul will probably make it through it. You know, because he's got something to draw on. He has something to fall back on.
He has he has things that the Lord told him that he can remember on. You know, I I really do in a lot of ways. I feel I feel bad for a Christian that's going through, a lifetime crisis, you know. Something so traumatic or or dramatic that, and and he he doesn't know that Jesus Christ said that that someday that someday he's gonna come, and he's gonna end this whole thing. Amen? You see, that's the doctrine of the rapture. So that's important. That's important. You know, sometimes you feel a little bit down. Sometimes you've sometimes you're discouraged. You know? Sometimes you're wondering if if if, you know, if the battle's even worth it.
And then you remember that the word of God is faithful and true. And one day, the trumpet God is gonna sound, and it's gonna end up, and just end this whole mess. That could give you enough courage to hang on for one more day. And I'm glad that I believe that. I really don't So I know, I I think about these things sometimes, and you know, I I wonder like, what what do the liberals do to hang on for one more day? You ever think about that? What what what do they do to hang on for one more day? I mean, I guess they go see their psychiatrist. Right? But I'm glad that I can believe the bible.
I'm glad that I have a bible. Now last week we studied the Passover, and, next week what we're gonna do is we're gonna start getting into, tabernacle worship, and we're gonna start talking about how people were saved under the law. And, what I wanna show you today is the path of the crowns, or or talk a little bit a bit a little bit again about the kingdoms. Alright? Okay? So just stick with us. We'll be back not even two minutes. Alright? We'll be right back. Stay with us. Alright. Told you it was be quick. Right? Okay. Now, what happened here was what happened was, when we started the show, I had run inside to get my coffee, and I needed to get my bible and my notes. And guess what I didn't bring back with me? I didn't bring back my bible or my notes. I got my coffee, but I didn't bring my bible or my notes. So I had to go get it. Otherwise, it would be kind of funny trying to get through this without it. Okay? Alright.
So, like I said, we've we've been talking about the dispensations. We've been talking and last week, we talked about Passover. Alright? And, when we began this study, we we we noted that the word of God gives more time to the subject of kingdoms than really any other subject. Fortunately for us poor, you know, sinners, it does tell us how to get saved also, and, you know, thank the Lord for that. You know, that that's that's a blessing to have it in the word of God. But the but the word of God gives a great deal of space to the subject of kingdoms.
Alright? In fact, if if if you hold in your hand, if if you hold a King James Bible, and honestly that's the only one to hold, to be honest with you. But when you hold your King James Bible, what you are holding in your hands is the greatest political textbook on the face of the Earth. Said it many, many times. I'll continue to say it. The greatest political textbook you will ever find on the face of the Earth. God will tell you why governments rise and fall, and God will tell you the whole history of human collapse, and it's all right here in this book.
It's all right here. You have it at your fingertips. And of of course, you know, that's been 6,000 years of human history. The the the story of human collapse. You know, we're not the first people to think that we're gonna build this, this this great society. You know, interestingly enough, none of them have ever lasted perpetually. Society always collapses. Well, you know, we're more intelligent than anybody's been before. Right? No. Don't count on that. Don't don't count on that at all. You know? They say there are probably been some civilizations prior to this one that in in many, many ways have been far superior in intelligence than this one. The only advantage that we have the only advantage that we have is, you know, that we've accumulated more knowledge.
But that doesn't mean that we're any smarter. Alright? It I'm sorry to say it. It doesn't. As a matter of fact, you know, so many, things in our society suggest that we've gotten a whole lot dumber. And you know what I'm talking about. Trust the science. Right? Trust the science. But, but, you know, be that as it may. You know, we're not gonna get off on a tangent on that one because I I believe me, I can go for a while on that one. But so many as I said, the Bible, I I lost my train of thought. I'm sorry. The the the the Bible deals with the subject of kingdoms.
God deals with kingdoms. Alright. Well, we've examined, of course, just kind of a refresh here, that way back in eternity past, kingdoms. There was a time when Lucifer was in charge of this world. He was in charge of a perfect creation, and we examined that, and we examined why. As a result of his fall, the Earth fell into this period of chaos, null and void. You find that in Genesis chapter one verse two. And then God restored the Earth and recreated it in Genesis one from three to verse 28. God put a man upon the Earth, and he gave him a crown, and he gave him a kingdom, and he said, I want you to have dominion over all that is on the earth.
Well, what happened? Man lost that crown. Man lost that crown through his own willful, sinful volition. And then sometime later, God called another man, A man by the name of Noah, and he gave him the same crown, and he gave him the same commission. But Noah lost the crown too. And then by default, it once again found its way back into the hands of Lucifer, the god of this world. Small g, god of this world. And of course, as time went on, God reinstituted the crown on the head of another man. This time, in the form of an unconditional covenant, and that man was Abraham.
Now whenever an unconditional covenant takes place, the crown becomes a lot more difficult to to displace because, then the the crown is built on grace and not works. It's built on grace, not works. However, Abraham and his seed degenerated down into Egyptian bondage, and they had been there for about four hundred years. Four hundred years of Egyptian bondage. And then we followed the patriarchs. And and, and and that particular dispensation, that triangular land mass that God promised them. Alright? Now, after four hundred years of Egyptian bondage, God said, okay. That's enough. We're gonna call them out.
And and what what what was the the climax of that calling out was the Passover. Alright? And and we studied that last week in some detail. So if you haven't checked it out, if you missed the show last week, go back and take a look. And, and and you'll get caught up. You'll be up to speed. So you might be a little bit lost in some of the things we're gonna talk about today, but you can always go back and check the other show, and then you'll get caught up pretty quick. Alright? And and honestly and truthfully, the, the story of the Passover really is, it's it's it's an incredibly exciting story. It's it's it's one of the probably one of the most exciting stories in in all the word of God.
It it's a story that needs to be preached. It's a story that needs to be retold on a regular basis, because the Old Testament Passover is a picture of our New Testament salvation. Right? How were those folks saved? By the blood. By the blood. Now, how are you and I saved? By the blood. That's how we're saved, by the blood. With the Passover in the background, then God sets up a theocracy, and the human element involved in that theocracy is Moses. Now now God God called Moses out, and he said this. He said, here's what I want you to do. And Moses, like most preachers, and most men of God, and I guess mostly anybody really, he and Moses resisted.
He resisted. Moses struggled for a long time, and then and then finally God convinced them. Now some of you might be struggling with the same thing. You might be struggling with that kind of a call. You see what God did, God said, Moses, turn aside. And there was a burning bush, and Moses turned aside. You know, I I I honestly I I do believe that there's a burning bush near every community. Near every community. Not just the one that Moses lived in. There's one near you. But to see the burning bush, what do you have to do? You have to turn aside.
You have to turn aside. You've got to allow God to gain your attention. Right? The Lord said, Abraham. And Abraham said, Lord, here I am. You know, some folks are willing to give their ear to God, and some folks aren't. Which category do you find yourself in? Are you willing to turn aside and listen to God, or or you just interested in just, you know, just plotting on your your your pre planned course? Moses turned aside. God said, what I'm gonna do is use you to lead my people. The people that I've established through the seed of Abraham. And I want you to lead them out.
And I'm gonna take this nation now, and I'm gonna set them apart corporately as a nation of priests, and I'm gonna use them to fill the original admonition to be fruitful, multiply, and replenish the face of the Earth. Now you see, that that was the commission that was given to Adam, a singular man. That was the commission that was given to Noah, a man. And then God said to Abraham, I'm gonna give it to your seed. And then we see that fulfillment of that promise beginning to take place back in Genesis chapter 15. And then he says to Moses, I want you to lead my people out. I'm gonna I'm gonna use you, and I'm gonna use this people to replenish the face of the Earth.
Now, the attack of Satan was against Adam. It was against Noah. It was against Abraham. And now, you know, you you you can see or at least you you can begin to see it was against an entire nation. It was against an entire nation. Alright? Well, let's let's look at this king here for a moment. Some say you know, some folks say, well, I didn't know Moses was a king. Wow. That's hot. Well, he was Moses. Moses was a king. Let's look over in Deuteronomy in chapter 33. Alright? Deuteronomy chapter 33. So you can take your Bibles. We're gonna get to the scripture right now. Take your Bibles and go over to the book of Deuteronomy. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, fifth book of your Bible.
Deuteronomy chapter 33. Deuteronomy chapter 33. You know, I I do the count off in the in the in the book because I'm I'm trying to get you to under to to get comfortable with your bible, and and kinda know your way around. You know, sometime I get confused too. I'm, you know, even I've been I've been doing this for for for twenty years. I I, you know, over twenty years. I I still have a hard time finding things sometimes. So, you know, it's okay. You know, you can always look at the, you know, always look at the index, Table of contents. You can find it. Alright? Let's see. Deuteronomy 33, and, we're gonna go to verse four. Deuteronomy 33 verse four says this.
Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob, and he was king in Jeshurun when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. Alright. Well, according to God's Holy Spirit, this man was a king, and he was a prophet like Abraham. But the interesting thing here is, folks, is that is that neither of them, neither neither Moses or Abraham was a prophet and a priest and a king. Alright? That's important. Neither one of those guys could fill those three offices. When Jesus came, he was a prophet and a priest and a king.
We'll find another guy, we'll find another guy too prior to Jesus, but we'll get into that later on. Now, not not tonight, but maybe in a couple of weeks down the road. So consequently, Aaron had to fill the priest's office for Moses. Alright? So it took another man. Driving the home driving home the point that that the kingdom of God is still absent. Still absent. Jesus came and he bore the crown, and it was said of Jesus what? Remember, John the Baptist said, behold, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world. Behold, repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
And yet, the same messenger, the same messenger declared, repent for the kingdom of God is at hand. Alright? Jesus Jesus Christ was the one that had the capacity to bring in a physical kingdom and a spiritual kingdom. Now today we see religion trying to bring in both. Right? We see religion trying to bring in both kingdoms without Jesus Christ, and we talked about this very briefly, that but that's what we call amillennialism. That's what an Amillennialist is. The message of most Amillennial churches is one of political reform. And so much of the emphasis of the church is on is is, you know, instead of instead of getting in and studying the word of God, it's, you know, we gotta reform the government.
We've gotta reform our society. You know, reform, reform, reform, reform. We've got to alert people to the virtues of the constitution. You know, I'm gonna tread on some some toes here. I'm gonna step on some toes here. You know, there are some bible believers that actually treat the constitution of The United States like some sacred document inspired of God. Folks, you know, I I believe in the constitution of The United States. I do. And I think God's hand was in it to some degree. But I but folks, there's only one inspired document around here, and you know what that is? That's your King James Bible.
That's the only one. And that's where the emphasis lies. And do you know why? Because because if you if you're gonna pursue that kind of approach, the only theology that's compatible to that is an amillennial theology, and you can mark that down. The the the folks that put all of their energy and all of their effort into political reform will sooner or later adopt an amillennial amillennial theology, if they haven't already. And why is that? Because it's the only one that's compatible with that kind of thinking. Why? Well, where's the emphasis? We we and we covered this. So this is kind of like a review, but where's the emphasis?
Where's the statement? Where's the bottom line? It's this. This is the bottom line. Amillennialists believe that man is going to bring in the kingdom. You know, you just follow us and we'll wipe out pornography. No, you won't. No, you won't. Jesus will. Jesus will. Now, alright. Now, you might be saying to yourself, well, we ought to be against it. You're right. You're right. We ought to be against it. You think we ought to preach against it? You're right. Yeah. We ought to preach against it. But I'm realistic enough to know that we're not gonna wipe it out.
You know, that's like saying, hey, you know, you know, we're gonna wipe out sin. Yeah. Okay. Sure. Sure. Nah. You think we ought to preach against sin? Well, you bet I do. You bet I do. But not because and and and here's the difference, folks. I think we just lost our signal for a second. Think the stream moved or went down. Oh, yep. Looks like it. Alright. So so why should we preach against sin? Why should we preach against sin? Not because and and again, the difference here is is and you need to pay attention to this. You need to pay attention to this. God never told the world to eradicate sin from their life.
Did you get me? God never told the world to eradicate sin from their life. God's command was for God's people to get sin out of their life. God knows that the world can't do it until they get saved. Isn't that right? You see, there there isn't any sense in trying to get the world to clean up their act until you've got them saved. That's the thing. You gotta change the heart, but you really can't do that. God's gotta do that. When the heart's changed, then other things can take place. Alright. Now I'm gonna get off my my my soapbox. I'm gonna quit preaching. I'm gonna start teaching again. Alright?
So Moses. Moses was a king. God calls out a kingdom of priests. Let me turn that off, that's bugging me. God calls out a kingdom of priests. That's what he calls them over in Exodus chapter 19. Alright. Now, consequently, and interestingly enough, do do you remember we talked about this? We talked about the sons of God over in Genesis chapter six. Right? Now now look what God calls Israel. Exodus chapter four and verse 22. Exodus chapter four and verse 22. So you're gonna go back to your second book of your Bible. Alright. So you were in Deuteronomy. You should go back to, to Exodus, which is the second book of your Bible.
So you're gonna go back past Numbers, Leviticus, Exodus, and you're gonna go to chapter number four. Exodus chapter four. I will get there soon. I promise. I had the fan over here blowing. It was blowing my pages everywhere. Alright. Exodus and chapter number four and, verse 22. Exodus chapter four verse 22. And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn. And I say unto thee, let my son go, that he may serve me. And if and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.
Now the nation, as such, is corporately adopted to replace the sons of God that we read about in Genesis chapter six. The entire nation the entire nation then becomes dedicated to the proposition that someday, the missing kingdom of God will return. Alright? And I'm gonna keep saying that, folks. I'm gonna keep saying that. And the reason why is when we get over to John, John the Baptist, and he starts preaching a strange message, all of a sudden it's it's it's gonna click, and it's gonna start to make sense to you. Alright? You got me? And then when you realize that God is handling Israel, or handing, I should say, handing Israel a kingdom, and and and they reject it, and then a two thousand year church age ensues, you're gonna understand why all that took place.
And by time that and by the time that gets done, you're gonna understand exactly where you are, and why you're here, and where you're going, and how to get out of that whole mess. That's worth knowing, don't you think? That's where, you know, the most people don't know that. Most people a lot of professors down at the university don't know why they're here and where they're going. And you know I'm right. If you spend any time in a university, you know I'm right. You know, something I'm glad I do, and I'm not even very smart. Really.
You know? But, alright. Now, during during this period of particular period of time, there's no such thing as as an individual new birth as as you and I know and and have experienced it if you're saved. Alright? And do you know why? Because the kingdom of God wasn't there. The kingdom of God returned to the second Adam and is still up in heaven. There so so so there was no such thing then as an actual new birth, and yet there was a kingdom of priests, and God had set aside the whole nation in in a sense as a kingdom of priests. But, of course, you know, there's a price to be paid for this.
God has declared, and and this is the nitty gritty of the whole thing. This is this is it. God declared that to be a kingdom of priests, there's a price to pay, and it has, for lack of a better way to say it, compound interest attached to it because it puts forth the kingdom of heaven. Alright? And and Moses is wearing the crown. The same crown that Adam wore, the same crown as Noah, the same crown that Abraham wore, the same crown to the kingdom of heaven. So in so in other words, God said, I'm gonna use you to lead these people out, and I'm gonna give you that landmass that I promised you, and you're gonna you're you're gonna be a kingdom of priests and a kingdom of my sons and a a kingdom to me.
Well, that's wonderful. That's great. That's fantastic. But there's a condition. There's a certain condition. If you're gonna keep this kingdom, you're gonna have to abide by some laws. And the laws that I'm gonna give you, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal. You see? Now if if you're familiar with the other seven of them, and I hope you are, so so so God says, alright, here's a law. Now isn't it interesting though how how how man it's it's really just a set of contradictions. Right?
Man says, you know, we don't wanna live under grace. We don't want that. That's what they've been living under in the time of Abraham. It was a dispensation of grace. You know, they say, you know, we want an exact set of laws to tell us what we need to do. And then God gives them a set of laws, and they don't like the laws. They change them, pervert them, they twist them, become self righteous, and and all the rest of that. You know, I just wanna get you an idea. You know, I mean, maybe you didn't look at this or or or ever really read this closely, but take your Bibles and turn with me over to Leviticus chapter 26.
Alright. Leviticus chapter 26. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus. It's third book of your bible. Leviticus chapter 26. Alright? And and we're gonna read several verses from this chapter here, but, the the and and there's an awful lot of inspirational preaching here. You know, there's a lot to say. And, I'm gonna I'm gonna, you know, kinda refine my marks to to just a few of them, but I I I think it's important I think it's important to take the time to read some of these passages. Alright? Luke chapter 26. I'm sorry. Leviticus chapter 26. Leviticus chapter 26, and we're gonna start in, verse number one. Leviticus 26 verse one.
He shall make you no idols, nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall you set up any image of stone in your land to bow down onto it, for I am the Lord your God. You shall keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary. I am the lord. If you walk in my statutes and keep my commandments and do them, then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time, and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, And you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid.
I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land. And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall fall before you by the sword. And five of you shall chase an 100. Sorry. There we go. And five of you shall chase an 100. And an 100 of you shall put 10,000 to flight, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword. For I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and establish my covenant with you. Alright. Now that's what we've been talking about, a covenant. Alright. And you shall eat you shall eat old store and bring forth the old because of the new.
I will set my tabernacle among you. My soul shall not abhor you, and I will walk among you, and I will be your god, and you shall be my people. I am the lord your god, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their bondman. And I have broken the bands of your yoke, and, and made you go upright. Alright. You see? That's what the Lord promised to do for them. That's what the Lord promised to do for them, and you and you and you could find the same thing, even ex even an expanded version over in Deuteronomy chapter 28. God, once again, tells them, here's what I want to do for you.
You know, folks, if if you if you read down through that passage of scripture, if if you just read down through that passage of scripture, you you just can't help getting the idea that God wants to bless his people. I mean, could you come up with any other observation than that? You know you know, these people walk around, you know, I just guess, you know, God wants me to be poor, you know. I guess that's that's what God wants. Well, you know, maybe he does. Maybe he does. You know, maybe he wants to bless you in another way. You know, what I'm what I'm saying is God wants to bless his people.
That's a great principle. You know, it it it threads itself through the entire word of God. Alright? Let's look on. Let's look in, verse fourteen, twenty six fourteen. But if you will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments, and if you shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments so that you will not do all my commandments, but that you break my covenant, I also will do this unto you. I will even appoint over you a terror, consumption, and the burning of you that shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and you shall be slain before your enemies that hate you.
You shall be slain before your enemies. They that hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when none pursueth you. And if you will not and if ye will not yet for all of this hearken unto me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. And I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your heaven as iron and your earth as brass. And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruits. You know, people say and, you know, I'm gonna preface it. I'm I'm gonna preface it with this.
You know, here's a principle. Alright? And and it's a principle that affects all people. Even though this passage of scripture was written specifically to Moses and the Jews that were given a covenant of a law and willingly placed themselves under that law, there are so many overriding principles here that that that apply in every situation to every people. God said, if you disobey me, here's what's gonna happen, and then he starts laying it down. You know, every day every day America walks a little bit further away from God. And every day, the woes, the problems, the difficulties, they just get bigger and bigger and bigger.
You know, just wait until California falls off into the ocean. Well, preacher, you believe that? Well, I don't have any doctrinal evidence for it, but I'll tell you. If I heard on the news honestly, if I heard on the news someday that, that that that it that it actually happened, that California fell off into the ocean, I wouldn't be surprised. It it honestly wouldn't surprise me. I mean, just think about it. Where where where does most of the slime and filth in this country originate? It wouldn't surprise me. It wouldn't surprise me at all. You know, actually, scientists are more concerned Scientists are more concerned about that than the preachers.
You know, they they talk about, you know, the scientists, they talk about that big earthquake fault that's out there. What's it called? The San Andreas Fault or something to that effect. There's some people out there that that that that don't know anything about the Bible, anything about God's judgment, but they believe that California one day is gonna fall off into the Pacific Ocean. Maybe it will. Now I'm not moving there, so, you know, I have a big enough concern about about it that, that I'm gonna stay away from it. I mean, think about that. Right? Alright. Look with me down in, I mean, this is just what I have to show you. Alright? This this is divine retribution.
Okay? And the list goes down on through the through the entire chapter, but, verse 29. Alright. Leviticus 26 and verse 29. And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat. Man, think about that. What a horrible, horrible thing to say. But my question is, did that ever take place? Did it? It sure did. The Bible tells us it did, because the people did not obey the covenant God laid down for them. I'm gonna call out of people. This is gonna be a covenant kingdom. And you say, wait a second, preacher. Hold on. Hold on. I don't understand.
Back when we studied Abraham and the patriarchs, you said God gave them an unconditional covenant, but now you're putting conditions on it. I don't understand. That seems contradictory. Well, you know what? It might seem that way. It might seem, but but let me expand on that just for just just a quick minute. Let me just expand on that. God gave Abraham an unconditional covenant, and it was unconditional in the respect that God ultimately, someday, will fulfill exactly what he said. And that's why we are bible literists. Literalists.
Literalists. Literalists. When God says a thousand years, he means a thousand years. That's why when when God says he's gonna restore Israel, he means just that. He's going to restore Israel. That's why, you know, when you if you if you're a Bible believer, if you're a Bible literalist, and you look at what's going on in the world today around Israel, you should get excited. You should get excited about that. That's why we got excited about the Balfour Declaration, which took place in 1948 and the war of nineteen sixty seven, and then, of course, what's going on today. We get excited about those things because we are Bible literalists.
But God said, for this period of time, I'm gonna put a conditional clause on you. But but the overall thing is unconditional. It's an unconditional covenant in the respect that God will fulfill that which he began to do and promised. Well, so what about this? What was was was this the real deal? Was was this a real kingdom? You know, what about proof of this kingdom? The blood bought, baptized, and and they were baptized. They were baptized. You know, maybe not in the same way you and I are baptized, but first Corinthians chapter 10 verse one talks about the baptism of Moses, doesn't it? Did did you know?
Little sidebar here. Did you know that there are seven different kinds of baptisms in your Bible? Did you know that? And you could throw that at somebody and and and and and you throw that at somebody that gets all hung up on baptism, you know, you're gonna you're gonna confuse them. You're gonna twist them all around. You throw it at them. You say, you know, because most people that get hung up on baptism, you know, they think that baptism saves them. And so when you come across these folks, ask them. Which one? I mean, which baptism is gonna save you? Is it the baptism of Moses? First Corinthians chapter 10 verse one. Is it the baptism of the cross? Is it the baptism of John? The baptism of the kingdom? Spirit baptism?
Which is the one that's gonna save you? There are seven different kinds of baptism in your Bible. I mean, if you wanna depend on that, that's fine with me. I don't personally don't care. But which one are you gonna trust? There are several different kinds. You know, the baptism of Moses is probably the closest there is to being a Methodist baptism. Really. You know? It wasn't exactly a baptism by immersion. It was more of a baptism by aspersion. It it says because what does it say? It says they walked through the cloud. You know, it like, kind of a mist.
A cloud. You know? Now if you're new to this, you're listening, you're watching, I pick on religion regularly. You know, I I am totally non prejudicial. You know? And look, I'm a Baptist, but I pick on the Baptist just as much as anybody. You know? Just pick on everybody. Pick on everybody. You know? And because that's the way it ought to be. Honestly, that means that's my opinion, that's the way it ought to be. Pick on nobody or pick on everybody. Right? So I I just pick on everybody. So what takes place? Well, they go on a pilgrim journey. Alright? And this journey is is is is strewn with graves and problems and heartache and, difficulties and death and, hospital beds and wounds and hunger and defeat and and all the rest of it. And and interestingly enough, God protects Israel from kings that invade that land mass.
Right? You know, go all the way back to Abraham. God said, well, there it is. There's that triangle. You can have that. Four hundred years later well, actually more than that. They're beginning to realize the reality of that promise. They're going in, they find the land mass is occupied by kings, and they're fighting to defend their homeland. Do you know what Moses would have been called in in 2025 media? I mean, think about it. What would they call Moses right now? Well, he would have been called an imperialist, Zionist.
Right? Well, sure. Moses the imperialist. Moses the colonizer. And he was going in there. Moses the imperialist. He was going in there, and he was pushing people off their real estate and their off their territory. You know, that little chunk of ground has been a battleground for a long, long, long time. That's why it's still the hot spot of the world. Because what man can't see in all of his political referendums is it's a spiritual issue that underlines that whole thing. Man can't see that. You know, it it it's to to to to to the proof of the kingdom. It it's it's it's to prove that this thing was of God.
You know, it it's interesting to notice that when the kingdoms of this world and and and and the kingdom that God was leading and and and ordained meet head on and collide, there was one sure proof that this thing was of God and led of God. One sure proof. And this this is this is in in one particular confrontation they met, and and they fought a confederation of five kings and their armies, and Israel suffered not one casualty. Not one. Now you might not convince a theologian. You might not convince a politician, and that that that's that's a sure sign of divine intervening.
But I'll tell you I'll tell you what. You convinced the foot soldier. I mean, if if you walked into battle, if he if he can walk into battle with all of his buddies all around him and walk out and observe that there's not one casualty, I think he'd get the idea that God was in the thing. I think I would too. I I I think you would too. Now now as God begins to formulate, his kingdom and and and and call out his people and and and and call out a corporate priesthood and and sets them in a country, you can just bet the attacks were gonna come long, hard, fast, and furious against this kingdom.
Satan's object of hatred becomes an entire nation, not just an individual like we saw in the past. All of a sudden all of a sudden, there's a million more possibilities of producing a king, and the ever present possibility that one of these kings would be king over the kingdom of God. So so do do you see why Jesus was a Jew? Jesus came bringing the kingdom of God as this as the second Adam. That's what the Bible calls him, to restore what the first Adam lost, to restore a spiritual image. Man was made in God's image. That is that he had a body, a soul, and a spirit.
But in the day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die. And Adam partook of the fruit, and Adam died. His spirit died within him. His spirit died. He became dead to God and dead to spiritual things. As he so he he could no longer worship God. As as Jesus said, God is a spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in what? In spirit and in truth, and he's dead. And all those years, all the way up until Jesus comes, man's spirit is dead. Man doesn't know what it is to have an indwelling Holy Spirit. Occasionally, he ex he he he experiences, an an empowering and, and and an abiding holy spirit, but not an indwelling holy spirit like you and I have because he's dead in trespasses and sin.
And and we're gonna examine that a little bit more when we get into the subject of the tabernacle and and and atonement and and so on and so forth. So you so you could just appreciate the fact that the devil now realizes that his fight is against a whole nation that this man is leading, not just a singular man. If it was just against Moses, it would have been just as easy against, as against Noah and Adam. He'd have won before round one ended. It would have been simple. Now it becomes a little more difficult because of all these, you know, the the multiple opportunities out there that that somewhere along the line, that king to the kingdom of God will be born.
So the attacks now are leveled against the nation. First of all, they leveled against Moses over in Numbers chapter 12 when Miriam and his brother, Moses' brother Aaron, challenged his authority. You know? Attacks are leveled against Aaron. People discourage the Jews in Numbers chapter 14. Plagues break out. Serpents run wild. Proud religion religionists and sacramentalists stir up rebellion in Numbers chapter 16. The people murmur and complain. Fire falls. Men kill each other. Just problem after problem after problem after problem. Did you ever read through those? Did you ever just walk away just like kinda depressed and say, man, those folks had a lot of problems.
I mean, just one thing after another crashing down on them, crashing down on them, crashing down on them. And why? Why? What's going on? The attack of Satan against this nation that God called out. Satan wants the right, by default, once again, to wear that crown. You know, it's it's interesting. It no sooner is is this is this this band of folks out of Egypt, and then the anointed cherub, while Moses is up on the mountain, getting the law, convinces Aaron to build a golden calf. Do you ever think about that? Do you ever think about it? Why a calf?
Why not a serpent? I mean, the devil isn't the devil an old snake? Well, yes. He is according to God's definition, but Satan doesn't want himself to be revealed like that. You know, Satan was instigating the whole thing, and and and he was and he was asking Israel to bow down and worship him, and that's exactly what took place when Moses came down off that mountain and saw that, you know, you remember he saw that great calamity and that mess that was going on down there. And, you know, it's interesting to notice that that all cherubs have wings and angels do not. He was the anointed cherub.
The deity of the Assyrians was what? A winged bull. You know, you can you can actually learn a lot by studying history. And, the great god, and the, small g, and and deity of the great Assyrian people is a winged bull. That's interesting. No? Don't you find that interesting? I I find that stuff fascinating. What a tragedy though. What a tragedy. The the the attacks are leveled, and they increase, and they go on and on and on. Have you ever observed that? Have you ever looked at that? Have you ever thought about that? Why antisemitism?
Why is it running rampant right now? Why, over the centuries, such hatred and animosity has been stirred up against the Jews? Why did Hitler pick on the Jews to be a scapegoat, to be his whipping post? Why were some 6,000,000 of them exterminated during World War two? Ah, well, you know, that's just a coincidence. Then why is it that during the Spanish inquisition, Jews as well as Christians were singled out to be tortured and murdered and have their property confiscated? Why is it that during the the the medieval inquisition, the same thing happened? Why is it that when you backtrack through all of history, and all the way back to shortly after God calls them out, and there are the there are people, the Amalekites, and and and the rest of them, just just dogging them and dogging them and following it, attacking them, bothering them, haunting them, hunting them down, killing them.
Why is it during all the thousands of years of history has an attack been leveled against a nation of people? And yet it's yet, you know, interestingly enough, it it it's it's it's noteworthy, really, to to notice that god has preserved that people. He has. And do you know why? Because of the unconditional covenant that he made with Abraham back in Genesis chapter 15. That's why. That's why. He said, I will multiply your seed, and I will give you that land. And you know something, folks? It's gonna happen. Someday, it's gonna happen.
You know, of of all people on the face of the earth, from the from the perspective of human logic, that have really no right to exist today, is is the Jews. You know, if if you think, it doesn't even make sense. Just think about that. They've been hunted down. They've been persecuted. They've been tormented. They've been slaughtered. Every possible effort has been made to amalgamate them into the melting pot of the world. How is it that after all of these years, a small band of people, relatively speaking, in the in the grand population of the of of of this plane, can still have a national identity when so many of the ancient people that were far greater in in so many ways have long since disappeared.
Just think about that. Just think just take a second. Just think about that. I mean, have have you ever run into a Philistine? Is there one that lives on your block? Oh, yeah. Three doors down. That's a that's a Philistine that lives over there. You you know what? What happened to the Philistines? What happened to the Philistines? Did you ever run into a Gurgocyte? Anybody? Did you ever run into a Gurgocyte? Do you have a a a gurgocyte section in in your in your neighborhood? What about a parasite? Have you ever run into a parasite? What happened?
Now you might be sitting there thinking, hey, wait, no, hold on a second there, preacher. I gotcha. I gotcha, Joe. I gotcha. I know an ancient people that still survived. Oh, yeah? Which one? The Egyptians. The Egyptians. Gotcha. Right? Yeah. The Egyptians. There are still Egyptians running around. Yeah. Yeah. Do you know why? Do you know why? Because Ezekiel said that God would keep them around to make a base nation out of them. And you talk about a base nation. You talk about a base nation, and it's something else. Folks, you cannot beat this book.
You can't. You you just cannot beat this book. There are some wild stuff in this book. Alright. So what happens? Israel marches into the promised land under an unconditional covenant, and no sooner is, is Moses and Aaron off the scene than the covenant's broken. Down to the book of Judges, so on. Really, it it's it's a pitiful it's a pitiful story of how Israel blundered its way around and fell into deeper and deeper degradation and sin and paid the price in and out of captivity, in and out of bondage. The Bible says in those days, there was no king in Israel, and every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
Theocracy becomes anarchy upon the rejection of God's word. And you know what the whole thing proves? You know what the whole thing proves? Above all things, it proves the law of human collapse. The book of Judges. The book of Judges demonstrates that better than any book I know of in all the word of God. God gives man a garden, and it says, here, tend it. And you have the opportunity of eternal life right over there in that tree. Just take care of it. And what does man do? What does man do? He follows his flesh to death. That's what he does.
Follows his flesh to death. Then God gives him the knowledge of good and evil, and the firstborn of man uses this knowledge as an alibi to murder. Then God gives some some people some promises. We read some of those promises over in Leviticus 26, and and and they're also over in Deuteronomy 20. You know, what greater sense set of promises could a people hope for? God said God said, I'm gonna feed you. I'm gonna take care of you. I'm gonna protect you. I'm gonna keep your enemies away from you. I'm gonna let you live in peace. I'm gonna prosper you. I'm gonna give you an abundance in your crops. I'm gonna give you everything you could possibly want, and they no sooner get that promise, and they begin to murmur, complain, gripe, and violate every one of the commands that god gives them. The law of human collapse.
And I guess things really aren't so different a few thousand years later. What does god do? He sends his son. He dies on a cross. He sheds his blood so that you and I could have remission of sin and eternal life. And then we come to him and we say, Lord Jesus, I know I'm a sinner, and I want you to save me, clean me, dust me off, make me fit for God and for heaven. And he does. And he does. And he rescues the perishing, and he and we witness amazing grace. And no sooner do we come off that mountain with a set of rules and regulations that'll help us, with a set of laws that'll benefit us, with a set of standards which God can bless us, and we begin to complain.
We begin to gripe. We start to fall out, and then we get and then we get picked off by the gorilla Amalekites who who are always hanging around in the shadows. You know, it's heartbreaking. It's a heartbreaking thing to see folks get saved, come to church, and and a year later just kind of fizzle out. You know, drop by the wayside. But oftentimes, you know what that is? You know what it is? Folks say, I just can't live by those rules. That's what it is. Now fortunately for us, you know, we don't have to live by the rules for us to be saved, but you gotta live by the rules if you're gonna experience the blessings and the prosperity of God.
That you have to do. God gives man a law. The law shows man's sinfulness, and what does man do with it? What does man do with it? He lifts up the law and exalts himself and flaunts his self righteousness. He says, ah, yes. Look at me. By the time Jesus shows up, the Pharisees are running around, we keep the law, we keep the law, we keep the law, and of course they didn't. They just said they did. It's the law of human collapse. Folks, let me say something to you. Alright? If you're trusting if you're trusting anything that's human today, for anything of real cons consequence in your life or your soul, then you are barking up the wrong tree, but, you know, I'm gonna trust president Trump and the Congress to to to break us out of the woes of our country.
Right. Okay. I appreciate president Trump. I really do. And I think in a lot of places, he's done a phenomenal job, and I think there there's been quite a few missteps along the way. I appreciate him. I'm thankful for him. I think God saved him to give us a bit of a reprieve here before things really fall apart. I voted for him three times. I did. But you know what? President Trump can't do what Jesus can do. It's just not gonna work that way. Oh, you know, I'm trusting the leaders of our fine country here, man. You need to study the law of human collapse for a little while.
You need to learn a little thing from history, but like we've said before, the problem is the only thing that men learn from history is that men don't learn from history. That's the problem. You know, you need to learn that all governments and all people and all these human, goals, ideals, and and and peace, all of this stuff collapses and collapses. That's why we have Ukraine. That's why we have things like Iraq and, and and Vietnam and World War two and and Korea, and and we have civil wars and revolutionary wars, and that's why we have all of the heartaches, all of the bullets, the hospital beds, the bayonets, the artillery, the bombs, because of the law of human collapse.
But I'll tell you this, you know, I I'm I'm really glad that there is one that I can trust. Just one. And his name is Jesus Christ. He's the only one that can save you. It's not Mary. It's not the Pope. It's not Mohammed. It's not Allah. Only Jesus Christ. He's the only one that can forgive you of your sin. He's the only one that can give you eternal life. If we don't learn anything from the law folks, if we don't learn anything, we ought to learn about the law of human collapse. And we really should be impressed with the fact that if anyone is gonna straighten things out, it's gonna be someone other than man, and his name is the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen. Heavenly father, we wanna thank you for tonight. Thank you for all of those that are watching and listening right now, and for all of those that'll be watching and listening later. God, I ask your blessings upon them. Help us to understand the law and how it applies to us. And, Lord also that, we don't use the law, we don't trust the law to save us, our our salvation rests solely in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and putting our full faith, trust, and confidence in that. God, we ask your blessings upon the remainder of the of the show today. We ask your blessings upon us as we depart out for the week, and father we just pray that, that, your name would be lifted up in the name of your precious son, lord Jesus Christ, and many would come to know him. We'll thank you for it in Jesus' name. Amen.
