We're gonna go straight on to the show today. I wanna have a conversation to all of us about a 100 years from now.
You know, I've I've mentioned this to a few people that were in my circle, and, and it really resonated with me. And so sometime it's good for us to have to revisit some conversations to make sure that we're on point pertaining to the plan that god has for us. But today's episode is entitled, they lived. They lived. Leaving your mark in this world. Leaving your mark in this world, a 100 years from now, what will people say about you? That was a question that came to me the day after Michael Jackson died. Michael Jackson died June 25th 2009.
And on June 26th, I thought about all the accolades that he's had. And I thought about a 100 years from now, there may be people that may be introduced or reintroduced to his music. Matter of fact, his family will pass on his legacy. But that's Michael Jackson. And we can say that about a lot of other people that might be in the entertainment field. But a 100 years from now, they may know Michael Jackson. They may know Doctor Moloch the King. But a 100 years from now, will they know you? A 100 years from now, will they know me? And so that's been really pressing upon my spirit as of late.
Will they know us? Why? Because the way that things are going down, we have to make sure that we're about, number 1, our father's business but also be able to fulfill the purpose and plan that god has for us. You know, it's a shame that there's a lot of people that are walking around who just feeling like or thinking, you know what? Nothing matters. Nothing matters. And so it's one thing for them not to fulfill their purpose and plan, but it's another thing to try to hinder someone else's. And so what I thought about, I was looking at the house that's next door to us.
When we first moved here, we first moved here in 70 6, and there was a young lady by the name of miss Baines that stayed there, sweet young lady. And matter of fact, she was, a young lady that she used to always smoke. She used to always smoke. She used to smoke Benson and Hedges, and she used to have me and Sheila over there. She would allow us to come by over there, and she would even try to teach me how to whistle. But eventually, she passed away and her son took over the house. And the son demolished the house. I mean, drugged it out, really did some bad things. So, eventually, the city condemned the house.
But eventually, a builder built the house, rebuilt the house, and there were many other peoples who have lived in the house. And so now, if I'm not mistaken, there might have been in the early nineties that she passed away and her son destroyed the house. But eventually, in the 2000, they rebuilt the house. And there've been many other people that may have they did, someone purchased the house, and they rented out the house to different people. Now we have someone there that look like they are permanent fixture of the in a home. But if you look at if miss Bain's family or lineage come by, there is no evidence of her existence at the home.
And so that's one thing we have to think about. Right now, it's easy for us to try to obtain materialistic things. Yeah. That's fine and dandy, but you have to look at where it counts at and the first thing where it counts at, like I always say, is spiritually. You know, you leaving a mark in life. Don't want to always have to be financial. It could be some word of wisdom, some insight that you may have important someone to change their world right side up. Matter of fact, one of the pastors that is very very well known in America.
People look at the influence that he's made. But what he'll do, he'll recognize the person that changed his life. And because that particular person that changed his life, now the life that that person has changed, now is able to impact the masses. But the question is, what about you? What about you? Some some people think, well, you have to be a multimillionaire. You have to be an entertainer to be known throughout all eternity? And the answer is no. It just like many people this back in the day and I'm not saying that this is okay but back in the seventies, me being a seventies kid, they used to have graffiti.
They used to have graffiti or drawing and they used to put on the wall or different places. So and so, their name was here. So and so was here and every now and then, they'll put the date on there or when they were in love, Joni and Chachi, them for some of y'all time. Joni and Chachi was here. September 14th 1976. You know, and so, that right there when people go by unless somebody wash it, they gonna look at him and say, wow. That person is there. That person was there. I wonder if they're still together. Well, I wonder how they are doing. It's something about having some type of landmark or some type of momentum to help you be reminded that there was someone that matters, someone that lived in that moment.
And so when we look at certain things, something we have to look at. We gotta look at this. There's a saying that I heard in my uncle, pastor Benny Loca, Uncle Red to some people. He said this and he's not the one that created it but he's the one that perfected it. There was old saying that said, if we, when you go to a graveyard, when you look at a headstone, you're going to see a born day and a death day. Born day when a person was brought to this world. Death day when a person left this world. But in between the born day and a dead day, there's a dash.
And that dash represents your life. And so the question he always poses, what are you doing with your dash? And the Bible tell us that we should consider him in all of our ways and allow him to direct our path. And understand also that there is a purpose and plan for all of us. None of us is here by mistake. I want to say that again. None of us is here by mistake. Sure, it might have been a boy and a girl, man or woman. They may have gotten together and they may not have planned. Amen. I have planned fuel arrival or you know, and I just say it that way. Amen. I had a plan on having a child but Imma say it like this. It take adult activities to create a child.
So, no matter how you came or who you came from, Understand that you are important and there is an assignment and a task when you arrived. Even matter of fact, Imma go back. Back. Even before you were in your mother's womb. God knew you. Now, god knew that you were going to come but the method man chose that. Yeah. Man told that. Some people feel like, well, you know, my mama told me or my daddy told me that they were going to hand me up for adoption or they were going to abort me but instead of my mama using that money to abort me, she decided to go ahead and keep me. Well, thank god. But understand you still have importance.
Regardless of how you got here, you were here. There was a song that I heard this week and it's been really on me. It's a young, it's a a song by a young lady named Olita Adams. I don't care how you get here. Get here if you can. Where you got here. In spite of how you got here. You are here for a reason. And now that you're here. Not that you're here. There's a purpose and plan that God has for you. In spite of like I say in spite of who you are. Plan that god has for you. In spite of like I said, in spite of who you came from, there was a purpose and a plan and you have identity. You have value. You have purpose. You have worth.
And we need your contribution to society. We need your contribution to the world. And also we need your contribution within the family. In other words, you have a voice. Now, what we have to do, we have to let you know the importance of your voice but also we have to educate you. You know, one of the things I always look at pertaining to the importance of who we are even within our family. Think about it. Your last name represent who you came from. But your first name represent or identifies you who you are from, where you came from. So, in other words, your last name let you know what group or what, yeah, what group you came from.
But your first name lets you know who you are within that group. So, everybody is important. There's no little eyes or small Ts. You are important not just to god, yes, but also to your family and your friends. True friends. Now, your family, yeah, your family, you didn't choose your family but in spite of you not choosing your family, god allowed you to be in that family for a purpose and a plan. One of the things I always say, in the Bible, the Bible tells us and teach us how to choose our mate. The Bible tells us and teach us how to choose our friends. The Bible tells us and teach us even how to eat healthy but nowhere in the Bible that the Bible tell us how to pick or choose our family and so if we don't have a choice in us choosing our family, then, they are assigned to us for a reason.
If you can't say amen, say ouch. My my sister Sheila and I used to always say, you know what? I think we were adopted. Oh, boy. Yeah, but we said, we said that because, you know, number 1, we we wouldn't be in city. We were being serious. You know, but we we said that because we were like, we are like, well, we don't know about them other ones but come to find out as we grew up, we realized the importance of who we are not just in the family but who how important we are to each other. And so, with it, understanding the importance of your dash representing your life.
Life? I want each and everyone of us. This might not be, I'll put like this. Imma be straight up to the point. This is the time for us to evaluate everything pertaining to the purpose and plan, not just the purpose plan god has for us but what are we doing in operating in a purpose and a plan right now? Now, let's evaluate those plans and the purpose that you're operating in right now. First of all, is it of god? Or is it an agenda that maybe selfish? Also, always challenge people with this. What are you doing right now? Whatever you're doing, can you maintain and doing that for the rest of your life?
There are some people right now. They 70 years old. Still trying to slang. Still trying to do some devilment. Still trying to mess around and be a womanizer or be a be a older cougar to try to live out their youthfulness. Come on now. We gotta be realistic. You know, one of the things that we often look at, matter of fact, when we look at, I love music, I love music. When we look at music theory, music theory was the study of, if I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, Mozart. I don't think it was Beethoven but I believe it was the study of his music. How his music was constructed.
How it was arranged. But let's look at how long he's been been dead. He been dead for many years. But see, now we still enjoying the fruit of his labor by listening to classical music that still resonate to this day. And, hey, Beethoven. Beethoven not only a prestigious musical arranger, but also their name also coincides with the dog that they made a movie out of. All because of the original Beethoven. Matter of fact, we were off to talk about and we we spoke about this even in the Sunday school lesson where no, no, I'm sorry. There wasn't a Sunday school lesson. That was message I did some time ago.
It was Ruth. Ruth, Marion, Naomi's kin, which was uh-uh Naomi's husband, Ken, which was Boaz. Boaz and what we discussed often time when there was a family member that we love that passed on or someone we just wanted to celebrate that was still alive. We often name our offsprings after them. My daddy, my daddy, and I were named after my my daddy's mother's brother. And so, these type of celebrations of us acknowledging our family. Those are things that is letting us know that we're leaving a fingerprint in life. Matter of fact, often time when people address my daddy, they would think about my uncle and also on down the line.
My brother, Walter, had the best of both worlds. He was named after my mama's favorite uncle as well as my daddy's father. So, looking at you being able to have your fingerprints in society in this world. Even after you've gone and even after you've passed on. You having your purpose and the plan that god had for you unveiled in front of Damascus. Now, I will say this, this is so important for us to be mindful and responsible and being looking at our time and looking at our time that we're operating in right now. Us evaluating the time that we have that we're in. It is no time for us to waste.
It is no time for us to be wasteful with our life, with our time, with our talent. And that's why number 1, like I said, the question is, what are we doing with our dash? As well as also looking at making your dash means something of importance. Now, in that, you operate in the purpose man god has for you. Understand that the devil would try to bring things or people into your life to prevent you from living the purpose and plan that god has for you. Understand this, if you go on forward in life, the devil will try to bring somebody to stop you or pull you back. And one of the key things I always talk about is being careful in who you linking yourself up with.
Number 1, pertaining to matters of the heart, pertaining to who you're dating. I've seen so many people who start off, who start off running, doing good, good, good things. You know, in their in their rhythm, in their purpose, in their plan, fulfilling god's assignment, all these things but then, all of a sudden, they get linked up with the wrong one and all of a sudden, it's like they just go off to the sunset and they burn everything that they've worked for. I wanted to think about. Number 1, even in you choosing someone pertaining to matters of the heart. Even when you're choosing someone, don't you know that's one of the devil's big things that he try to do. He'll always try to link up someone that's within their purpose with someone that's pulling against their purpose.
Understanding that the devil gonna try to always match you up with a crawfish. A crawfish, when you look at a crawfish, when a crawfish fish about to get out the jar, there's another crawfish that grabbed them and pulled them down. And that's what happened to a lot of people pertaining to matters of the heart. People need to be responsible and conscious of when you are in your rhythm, when you're in your purpose, your plan, the assignment that god has for you. Don't you know, it puts you on the radar and you have to be conscious of it. Do not take that for granted.
Do not think, well, you know, god got me. Yes. God got you with what? First of all, he'll give you warning But, yeah, because he give you warning does not mean look. He I'm saying he gonna give you a choice. That does not mean that he gonna make you not or make you take heed to that warning. Why? Because god not going to go against our character. Excuse me. God not going to go against our will. He not going to go against our will. He going to present, hey, this person is no good. Well, you know, Imma pray about it. Look at her. Ain't no need to pray about it. When it's black and white right there and I'm not going to get a little soapbox but I tell people, we use that word as a sorry excuse. Well, I just pray about it. Well, let me ask you this. Let me ask you this.
Right now, let's just say if you see somebody getting beat up, if you see somebody getting jumped on, are you going to call 911? Are you going to go ahead and say, well, hey, well, you know what? Imma pray that that person stop beating on that person. No. You gotta take actions. Now, you pray for the person afterwards and I know I said that some people may I'm I'm a say it like this, for us to stop using the excuse when it's time for us to execute action. If you had a red light and then all of a sudden, the light turns green. Are you going to stay there?
And ask, hey, what do I need to do? Are you going to go ahead and press on the accelerator and go forward? You need to go. Go. So, when the reason why I had to bring it up because some people, I ain't going to say everybody but some people, they say excuse of where I prayed about because they expecting god to do what god told them to do. That's why. And so, it's so important for us to be mindful pertaining to the matter of the heart. When you operate in the purpose of plan god has for you, you have to be discerning. You have to look within the spiritual realm with your spiritual eyes and listen with your spiritual ears for you to detect who is, look, who was sent by god or who was made by Satan.
It is your responsibility and also be mindful when people come to you and they show you who you are, who they are, believe em. Believe them, believe them, believe them. Because god's going to always let us know. God can always give us a sign but don't be so quick to make a decision without consulting god first. So, this pertaining to matters of the heart, pertaining to dating, pertaining to love. Now, also, not only pertaining to dating and love but also pertaining to friendships. Yes, friendships. There are people that will sabotage your place. There are people that will even in witchcraft so you won't succeed.
Yes. Some people, well, you know, you know, I'm I'm strong enough. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no You don't do that. Well, you know who a person or how a person is. Hey, look here. You might have to exit them out of your life. Don't allow anybody within your surroundings to make you have your blessings hindered because you have the wrong people within your circle.
That's why I tell people, hey, Laquiere. Don't try to get a circle. I I heard somebody mention this, and I was like, wow. That makes so much sense. But stop trying to have a circle. Start getting a square. Start getting the square. Or if you want to, start getting the rectangle. Oh, just in case you want to, start getting a triangle. Why is that? You can get a square, a rectangle, or a triangle. Why? Because those have corners and you'll be able to detect who's on your corner. But a circle, hey, it's hard to detect because people are still moving around. So, ask god to help you to discern who's in your corner.
Understand that if they going to be disrespectful to god, they will be disrespectful to god's child. If they will be loving and obedient to god, they will be loving and obedient to god's child but god want you to listen to him so you can discern, so you can see the person's true identity. And I just I brought that in because there are a lot of things that hinder us from leaving a mark in society. But also I want you to think about this. What do you want to be known for? What do you want to be known for? Are you, do you want to be known for that person where that was wasteful?
Do you want to be known for that person who made bad decisions all the time? Look here. Matter of fact, even in Genesis, talk about looking at Lot's wife. Looking at Lot's wife. What is known about Lot's wife? When god told her to go and not look back, she went and she looked back and she turned to a pillow of salt. And understand, I'm a I'm a say a little bit of the story. And when we look at it, the pillar salt wasn't so much of, can she look like them poof? She just instantly, instantly turned to a pillar salt. Get this. In that region, it was a mountainist, it was a mountain tourist region.
And on top of that mountain, on top of those mountains, it was something called sulfur. And what is sulfur? Sulfur is salt. And what happened when she got disobedient and she turned. Lightning struck and hit the mountain or if you want to say hit the sofa and it trampled on her and what happened because she was looking at what what she loved. She was more concerned about what she was leaving versus where she was going. And you know what happened? Because of her looking back at where her heart desire was. She became a product of her environment.
Meaning the sulfur of the salt. Yeah. That's where she remains to this day. She's a permanent fixture and a reminder to all of us. To first of all, examine our hearts and leave was not right for us. Leave was not right for us. You know, it's so many people. It's so many people that we see. They just some people that they just don't care but also, that's why I always tell people this and you discern and looking at the people that you may quote unquote consider dating, marrying, or even consider having as a friend. Understanding who they are and what their interests are. Look at what their will is attached to.
Because if you believe in doing the right thing but this person love devil and foolishness, you know what's going to happen? Every, it seem like when it come down to the ceiling stuff, oh, they just like, well, you know, you're like, I need to find out more about this person. You need to study who these people are because the people that you're linking up with, they would determine if you're going to go forward, go backwards, or if you're going to struggle, if you're going to struggle, why? Because often time, we choose people that catapult us, that hold us back, or make us struggle.
Why? Because we feel like, well, you know, I just wanna help the person. Sometime, our heart has gotten us into trouble in choosing people that was not assigned to us. And like I said, this is not evertain to dating or marriage but friendship. Even some people that we end up helping that god did not authorize or tell us to help. I always talk about they're saying, before we consult with god, think about the game Simon says. It says, Simon says, go left. We go left. Simon says, go right. We go right. Simon says, jump up. We jump up. But it say, sit down. If Simon did not say sit down, then you remain standing.
I brought that up because when it come down to hearing the voice of god and consulting him in all of our ways for him to direct our path, the question is, did you consult with god first? And then after you consulted with god, the question is, did he respond back? All the time, we'll tell god what our request is but we end up going ahead of him before he moves or before he give us an answer. So, it's so important for us to start making better decisions pertaining to what? Because doing, I ain't gonna say good stuff, god. But more so of doing whatever we wanna do with and leaving god out of the equation.
You know, in order for us to really leave our fingerprints in this world, we cannot do it outside of god's assistance or god's help, god's strength. We can't do it without him. The only way we could be effective is doing it through him. One of the things I always think about, and I mentioned this earlier. I spoke about doctor Martin Luther King, and he actually inspired me when I wrote my book. He inspired me. He inspired me when I looked at he was a minister, an activist. He won a multimillionaire for his work ethic. He left a lasting impression.
And we all should should be inspired. Matter of fact, we look at I was looking at a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at, Muhammad Ali and the and what he went through. I'm like, wow. Now I do have to say this. I didn't bring this up earlier, but earlier, I was preparing myself. And as I'm preparing myself, my phone was on YouTube, and there was a song that came on. And it was about Luther Vandross. Now I know some people. What what you doing talking about a secular song? Listen. The song was your secret love. And it tells the story of the character, if you wanna say, Luther Vandross.
He was seeing this young lady that she will only see him in private. She did not wanna go out publicly with him. But he got tired of being her secret love. And, you know, I was listening in that song. I've I've always loved that song, and I love story. I love stories. And I just pictured, man, imagine for imagine trying to fulfill your purpose in life but the person that you love the most loves you the least. The person you wanna go publicly with only wanna sees you privately. The person that you wanna give your all to is the person that wants to give you nothing. Only when it's convenient or wanna use part of you but not all of you. Wanna have part of you but not all of you.
And often time when we look at that, sometimes they make us think about man. Am I wasting my time? Yes. So the question is, in anything that you're doing in life, can you probably examine it and look and see, am I wasting my time? Matter of fact, some people and then not yet pertain to relationships, matters to the heart, or friendships. But think about there might be a career that you're in and you're doing it and you don't even love it. You're doing it and the reason why you're doing it is because you're in fear of stepping out and what god told you to do. There are so many people that are comfortable in their discomfort.
There are people that are right in a job and they are miserable. Not because they hate the job, but they hate themselves because that's not really them. But they are too scared to step out on faith. God, look here. Many people have told him, hey, man. Look here. You can do it. Man, look, you're doing great. This is what you do. No. No. No. Because so many people told me, man, I I shouldn't do it. My mama, you know, my mama failed at it. My daddy failed at it. My brothers failed at it. So maybe it was meant for me to not do it because maybe I'm a fail. You might be the one that succeed.
See, they got a glimpse of your purpose, but they were trying to fulfill their purpose with your purpose, and that's why they fail. But if it's something that's keeping you up at night, if it's something that you just can't shake because you're like, man, I I I just I feel this, like, this baby just ready to just jump out. But you're gonna allow fear to stop you? I wanna challenge you. In case you that person, I want you to do your homework on that baby that's crying out trying to come out of you. I want you to do your homework. And that homework is first, fast and pray.
And consult god and ask him, is this something that you want me to do? Or is this something that maybe just I maybe look, it might be an idea for me to start off. It might be an idea for me to do the whole thing but whatever it is, I don't know and it's okay to admit that you don't know. That's okay. But after you realize it, you don't know, let's figure out so you can know. It's so many people. A matter of fact, they've said this all the time but the richest place in the world is grave and it's so many people that have lived this life and died without fulfilling even a fraction or begin to start on the purpose that god placed them to be here for.
And not only you have robbed yourself, you have robbed us from what, look, what gift that god has blessed you to have and god trying to birth that out of you to give and share with us. I want you to think about that Think about that. A 100 years from now, that thing that you started that thing, that baby, that purpose that god trying to have you to give birth to. A 100 years from now, it may be another Walmart. A 100 years from now, it may be another Amazon. A 100 years from now, it may be something else called the internet. A 100 years from now, it might be Gucci.
Gucci. Look. Gucci wear. It may be something that may turn your family into the, look, the dynasty. It may be, it may be something, it may be something that god want you to contribute to the world to make a statement. You know, we often talk about Do you know who your great, great, great, great, great grandfather is? And oftentimes, some people say, no. You know why? Because he may not left you anything. But if he left you something, then there's gonna be a picture under the fireplace, over the fireplace. It might be a painting of him. And like I said, it could be some type of art.
It could be a book. You know, it could be anything. It could be advice. You know, whatever it is. But you have something to contribute. In other words, you need to let people know that you once existed. I'm a say that again. You have to leave something here on this earth to let people know that you contributed something. This person contributed something that left a lasting impact in this world in this world. You gotta do it. But instead, you have to look at, am I allowing fear? Yeah. If I'm not operating in faith, the opposite of faith. Get this.
The opposite of faith, it ain't fear. The opposite of faith is sight. Sight. Why sight? Because what happen is faith if it sells a thing hopeful and evidence of things not seen. And so because you don't see it, you can run with it. You can run for it. But when you see something, then, if you feel like you can't do it, now you have allowed fear to come in but you operating in fear because of what you see, not for what you don't see. And so what you have to do is ask god to help you to not see what your physical eyes but help you see within the spiritual eyes. Help you see with your spiritual lenses.
So, that way, you can operate in faith because when you see with your spiritual lenses, you can see what god have for you and what god told you to do. But when you look in sight, would you look when you look at within your physical, when you look, when you look through your physical eyes or your physical lens or your sight, what happen is we get turned. It is always going to go the opposite. I was going to say the opposite of what god said. So, that's why it's so important for you to not go on-site Go on vision. Don't go on what you see.
Go on what you don't see. Consult with God. Because what I realized Each day we live, we're getting closer to the grave. Each day we live and lost time, we don't want to talk about that. Hey, look at. I ain't trying to rush out. Look, I'm a make heaven my home. Heaven is my home, and I'm going to heaven. But look here, I ain't trying to rush myself up out of here. There's still work to be done. There's still work to be done. So what about right now? You evaluate everything pertaining to your life. Evaluate everything. And after you evaluate everything, I want you to look at, man, I might have been wasteful, might have been wasteful.
But now I'm making a change. The first thing you do in changing in accepting Jesus Christ your personal savior. Like I say, unless Jesus comes back unless Jesus comes back a 100 years from now, will you still be here? Chances are chances are probably not. They just say, if you're in your 70s right now, a 100 years from now, these are the kind of conversation we have to have. So, that way, if anything happen where you no longer exist, it won't become a burden to the family. And, this may be very transparent. I had a conversation with my younger brother, my I call him my little brother. I had a conversation with my little brother after, my sister was killed.
And, you know, that made me excuse me. That made us have the conversation to let us know, hey. Look. If anything can happen, go here, do here, and here, and there. Then my stuff is, even the conversation with my if you now I said it then. We can say stepmother or bonus mother. People need to know. People gotta know. But also not just you know preparing or having insurance, life insurance, having insurance but also having assurance. Make sure that your soul is right with god and also, look here em. Those that are believers of Jesus Christ, we want our loved ones saved and delivered. We want them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior but we ain't going to be lying at your funeral.
Live a life where speaking about you will be easy. Don't live a life where if something happen to you, we gotta try to find the word. Say, well, you know, one thing I can say, that boy love apples. That's all you can say about them. Come on now. But heaven were they can talk and we can hear stories and it will bless the family. But don't be a burden to the family where the people like, oh lord, I don't know how he was living but I tell you what, I'm not trying to say trying to put him in heaven or put him in hell. Boy, I tell you, he shall live a hellacious lifestyle.
You know? So making sure first, we are an example. And like I said, accepting Jesus as our personal savior and being an example that our life can mentor others. Our life will minister to others. We often sing the same. We often sing the song. You know, live a life that's pleasing unto god but also, if you can help someone along the way, then, your living won't be in vain. Are you living a purposeful life? I know there was a book that came out years ago called The Purpose Driven Life which showed a great example of someone named Samson.
The strongest man who ever lived that actually end up being the one of the weakest men to ever live. Why? Not just because he told the lighter all of his heart. But he told his secret but also even before he told the light of all his heart, he was being very playful with her. In a time that she would try to find out his secrets. What he would doing, he wasn't taking it seriously. My question is, are you taking life seriously? Are you taking life seriously? Or are you playing like it's a game? Because to be honest with you, so many people, they're living a life playing checkers but life is playing chess on them.
And it's so important for us to realize that look, I want to live forever. But we ain't got time to be wasting. We don't. If there's anything that you may have towards someone or whatever, I think, hey, look here. Ain't no time for us to hold on to grudges or hatred or unforgiveness. Look here. Don't let anything or anybody stop you. Number 1, from you missing heaven but also make your life miserable and cause yourself to be stressed or calling your health to decline because you holding on to unforgiveness or hatred.
The devil is a liar. Also, even if you try to work or try to do thing, even try to sleep. You know, a a person that hold on to unforgiveness, a person that hold on to hatred or jealousy, they are a miserable person. I always tell people, it's easy for us to say, well, you know, let it go. No. Give it to god but also looking at when a person is operating in their purpose and plan, they don't have time for foolishness. Anytime you see somebody or hear about somebody that's doing devilment, doing some deranged stuff, doing some hatred stuff. Look, they got too much time with their hands.
They too busy looking at other people when they need to be looking at themselves. Look, you got work you need to do. And when you're looking at, well, see, I can't stand it. Well, you know what? That person, they just let you know. Look, you ain't busy enough. You ain't busy enough. When a person is truly in a purpose and they plan, they ain't studying about other folks. Now, yeah. Now, there may be some people who may try to hate on them or try to do some things to sabotage their work yet. I can tell you that. I know about that. But you know what? I found out.
Look, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. I don't care if that person try to scandalize your name. You know what? When person is trying to scandalize your name and do some devilment towards you and you fulfilling the purpose and plan god has for you, they're not just doing it towards you. Most importantly, they're doing it towards god. And if god has given you an assignment and you fulfilling the purpose and and plan the assignment god has for you, then, they interfering in god's business and that's a business you need to stay out of. When you trying to be god in other people lives, well, I just say like this, you're no match to the true and living god.
That's, look here. That's a dangerous person and I'm not talking about for you to be in fear of that person. No. No. I'm talking about that person walking on. Look, death's door because they're going against god. You know, but it is funny. I think about even when Jesus went to cross out of those who betrayed him, Out of the excuse me. Out of those who betrayed him and those who you know crucified him. You know what he said? Father forgive him. You know not what they do. They don't. I know sometimes that's what we have to do. For those who may have done us wrong, god forgive them.
Forgive them. And like I always say, yeah, you can forgive a person. Forgive a person. That's easy. You can forgive them. But then because you've forgiven it does not mean that you got to trust him. I want us to understand that. Some of us have forgiveness. The definition of forgiveness totally wrong. Yes, forgiveness benefits you. But trust, you ain't gotta trust them. Look, when you forgive somebody, you don't have to give them the level of trust that they once had. Nope. And it's your choice if you choose to allow them to earn their trust or not. Like I say, I believe in keeping it real. So, that's something that we have to do. We have to understand that god want us to be more responsible so that way we can fulfill the perfect plan god has for us.
God has a purpose, a plan, and an assignment and one of the things I always tell people and I I I love this. I love hearing about people have dreams. I love it. But I always tell people this, even when you try to pursue and figure out the purpose of plan god have for you, I recommend you get a pen and paper and write down those conversations. Not just that you have it with god but those conversation that god have with you. Oftentime, we miss what god is telling us because we don't take seriously in the conversation that he gives us.
When god give that conversation with us or to us, you need to start taking notes because god may take, look, god may give you B. And then he may give you A. Then he may give you E. And later he may give you C. You need to write it down. Sometimes, god will give us a test to see if we're going to utilize what he gives us. It just like all we think about, cologne. And one of my mom's cousin used to come to our house and give us a sample. That sample, it wasn't a full size jar of the fragrance but what it was, it was a sample to let us test it out to see if it's something that we want and if it is something we want, then we go and purchase the big one.
But if it's something we don't want, we just kind of bypass it. Well, that thing that god has given you, that vision, that dream, that conversation god give you. Look at that as the tester, as the sample of the fragrance and if you love and it smells good, you can capitalize on it but the key thing is for you to take it seriously and smell it. God has given us a lot of samples and a lot of testers but we're not even smelling it. We're not even smelling it. We need to take god's word seriously in whatever dreams he give us, whatever vision he give us, even god will use people to talk to us and give us a word because often time, we're in a dilemma like, god, what should I do? God, do I need to god tell me? And then all of a sudden, after the move, god will come and say, you know what? I don't know you but the lord will tell me to tell you, you need to go ahead and blah blah blah blah blah and it'll be many time people say, Yep. That's confirmation.
Confirmation. Yeah. And there are the difference. I'm going to say this in hush. But there's between receiving confirmation or when people say god told me to tell you and he ain't saying nothing and it just out the blue. But god will always tell you before he tell other people but god may give other people the confirmation to give you to let you know that when he what that feeling that you got, there was him telling you and sometime we question god if this is my, look, if this is my emotions or my feelings speaking or this you and you're talking to god then all of a sudden, god will bring confirmation. And so, what you're dealing with right now, asking god to have you to leave a landmark, leave a legacy so that way, they'll know that you lived and you made an impact for yourself, for your family, and for this world And know that when the time comes, people still remember you a 100 years from now. And so with that being said, it's so important for us to look at what god word says and like I said, god told us for those who may not be saved. It's a great opportunity for you to accept Jesus Christ your personal savior.
Roman 10 and 9 tells us if thou shalt confess the lord Jesus Christ our savior and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession made unto salvation. With the heart, let's not talk about your quote unquote your organ, the muscle that's in your chest. The the look, the heart means the core of you. So, your thoughts, your intellect, your reasoning. Who you really are? Also, I want you to know that god is here for you and he want you to know more of him but also he wanna reveal who you are and I would encourage you, don't take this lightly.
Allow god to reveal to you who you are, who he is, and who you are so that way you can fulfill the purpose plan that he has for you. Like I said, it's not a coincidence. It's not a accident that you hear in 2024 in this world. Not a coincidence, but I will say this. You're here now, but you never know when our time is up. That's why we have to be about our father's business and, you know, you never know how much time you have. And it's sad. It's so look here. It's like a person living. Matter of fact, Methusalam was the person lived the longest. I believe he lived a 138 years, I believe. Some, I know it's from 90938 years, somewhere around there.
But all we know is he lived long. But was it a prosperous life? Did he make an impact? But on the other hand, there might been somebody that lived, Hey, think about this. There was someone that lived not 900 somewhat years but there's someone that lived 33 years. 33 years And he was within his purpose. Who was that? Jesus Christ. And so with that being said, yes, allowing god to help us to understand what our purpose and plan is and for us to you it and do it unto him. Let us pray. Dear heavenly father, we come to you right now. We're thanking all for your awesomeness. We're coming to you right now. God, we acknowledge your presence on the day. God, we're coming to you right now. God, ask god to help us right now, god.
To fulfill the purpose and the plan that you have for us. Help us right now, god. To surrender to you once and for all. Surrender our cares, surrender our worries, our anxieties, and any and everything that can hinder us from fulfilling the purpose and plan that you have for us right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we ask you to help us god to trust you god. Help us god to rely upon you in every area of our lives, god. Help us god to consult with you in every area of our lives right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we ask god to forgive us god. If we have mismanaged our time, our talent, and god we even ask god to help us god and we have called someone to mismanage their time and their effort right now. In the name of Jesus, help us right now god to be about your business, god.
Help us god not only to fulfill the purpose and plan you have for us but god ask god to help us right now god to perform in excellence right now god to properly execute whatever you have for us to do god. Help us god to complete the assignment right now. In the name of Jesus. Help us right now god to be all that you have for us to be god. Help us right now god to seek you like never before god. Help us god to acknowledge you in all of our ways. Help us right now god to worship you and obey you right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we can't do it without you. We not only do we want you in our life but we need you in our lives. We need you desperately god and help us god to give and do everything unto you god. Help us god to live a life that's pleasing to you right now god. Help us god to be a light to this world god. Help us god while we be in the salt of this world. Help us god to not lose our flavor, god. Help us right now, god. In area of our lives right now. In the name of Jesus and we're buying everything the devil stand for. We cancel the devil's assignment.
We cancel every booby trap. We bind every snare right now in the name of Jesus. We bind the weapon that the devil try to form right now. In the name of Jesus and lord, we thank you lord for covering right now. We thank you lord for your anointing. We thank you lord for your presence right now. In the name of Jesus and lord, we speak right now god. Even for those who maybe going to bed, god. Help them to have sweet sleep right now. In the name of Jesus. Minister to them even in their sleep right now god. God, help us god even to hear your voice, god. Even while we sleep right now, god and help us god to place within our spirit, man, god and execute it god and and put action behind our and the words that you've given us, god. Help us god to execute what you have us to do god. Help us god to put your word into practice and to action right now. In the name of Jesus. Help us right now god to have the vision that you have for us to have right now god. Give us clarity god. God, we speaking god that you sharpen our spiritual senses right now, god. In the name of Jesus, help us god to speak your language, god. Help us god to operate in love, god. Helping us god to operate in forgiveness, god. Help us god to operate in peace and deliverance right now. In the name of Jesus. Helping us god even to pray for our enemies right now. In the name of Jesus.
And lord, we thank you right now, god, for everything you've done. And, beloved, even ask god to comfort those who are grieving during this hour, god. Grieving during this season right now, god. Help them right now, god. Help them, god. Comfort them. Be with them right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we thank you right now, god. For being a god of all comfort and lord, we even thank you lord for even bringing healing in the land right now, god. Those who may have been sick including myself, god. Thank you, lord, for even for my healing, god. I receive it right now, god. In the name of Jesus. We're gonna go straight on to the show today. I wanna have a conversation to all of us about a 100 years from now.
You know, I've I've mentioned this to a few people that were in my circle, and, and it really resonated with me. And so sometime it's good for us to have to revisit some conversations to make sure that we're on point pertaining to the plan that god has for us. But today's episode is entitled, they lived. They lived. Leaving your mark in this world. Leaving your mark in this world, a 100 years from now, what will people say about you? That was a question that came to me the day after Michael Jackson died. Michael Jackson died June 25th 2009.
And on June 26th, I thought about all the accolades that he's had. And I thought about a 100 years from now, there may be people that may be introduced or reintroduced to his music. Matter of fact, his family will pass on his legacy. But that's Michael Jackson. And we can say that about a lot of other people that might be in the entertainment field. But a 100 years from now, they may know Michael Jackson. They may know Doctor Moloch the King. But a 100 years from now, will they know you? A 100 years from now, will they know me? And so that's been really pressing upon my spirit as of late.
Will they know us? Why? Because the way that things are going down, we have to make sure that we're about, number 1, our father's business but also be able to fulfill the purpose and plan that god has for us. You know, it's a shame that there's a lot of people that are walking around who just feeling like or thinking, you know what? Nothing matters. Nothing matters. And so it's one thing for them not to fulfill their purpose and plan, but it's another thing to try to hinder someone else's. And so what I thought about, I was looking at the house that's next door to us.
When we first moved here, we first moved here in 70 6, and there was a young lady by the name of miss Baines that stayed there, sweet young lady. And matter of fact, she was, a young lady that she used to always smoke. She used to always smoke. She used to smoke Benson and Hedges, and she used to have me and Sheila over there. She would allow us to come by over there, and she would even try to teach me how to whistle. But eventually, she passed away and her son took over the house. And the son demolished the house. I mean, drugged it out, really did some bad things. So, eventually, the city condemned the house.
But eventually, a builder built the house, rebuilt the house, and there were many other peoples who have lived in the house. And so now, if I'm not mistaken, there might have been in the early nineties that she passed away and her son destroyed the house. But eventually, in the 2000, they rebuilt the house. And there've been many other people that may have they did, someone purchased the house, and they rented out the house to different people. Now we have someone there that look like they are permanent fixture of the in a home. But if you look at if miss Bain's family or lineage come by, there is no evidence of her existence at the home.
And so that's one thing we have to think about. Right now, it's easy for us to try to obtain materialistic things. Yeah. That's fine and dandy, but you have to look at where it counts at and the first thing where it counts at, like I always say, is spiritually. You know, you leaving a mark in life. Don't want to always have to be financial. It could be some word of wisdom, some insight that you may have important someone to change their world right side up. Matter of fact, one of the pastors that is very very well known in America.
People look at the influence that he's made. But what he'll do, he'll recognize the person that changed his life. And because that particular person that changed his life, now the life that that person has changed, now is able to impact the masses. But the question is, what about you? What about you? Some some people think, well, you have to be a multimillionaire. You have to be an entertainer to be known throughout all eternity? And the answer is no. It just like many people this back in the day and I'm not saying that this is okay but back in the seventies, me being a seventies kid, they used to have graffiti.
They used to have graffiti or drawing and they used to put on the wall or different places. So and so, their name was here. So and so was here and every now and then, they'll put the date on there or when they were in love, Joni and Chachi, them for some of y'all time. Joni and Chachi was here. September 14th 1976. You know, and so, that right there when people go by unless somebody wash it, they gonna look at him and say, wow. That person is there. That person was there. I wonder if they're still together. Well, I wonder how they are doing. It's something about having some type of landmark or some type of momentum to help you be reminded that there was someone that matters, someone that lived in that moment.
And so when we look at certain things, something we have to look at. We gotta look at this. There's a saying that I heard in my uncle, pastor Benny Loca, Uncle Red to some people. He said this and he's not the one that created it but he's the one that perfected it. There was old saying that said, if we, when you go to a graveyard, when you look at a headstone, you're going to see a born day and a death day. Born day when a person was brought to this world. Death day when a person left this world. But in between the born day and a dead day, there's a dash.
And that dash represents your life. And so the question he always poses, what are you doing with your dash? And the Bible tell us that we should consider him in all of our ways and allow him to direct our path. And understand also that there is a purpose and plan for all of us. None of us is here by mistake. I want to say that again. None of us is here by mistake. Sure, it might have been a boy and a girl, man or woman. They may have gotten together and they may not have planned. Amen. I have planned fuel arrival or you know, and I just say it that way. Amen. I had a plan on having a child but Imma say it like this. It take adult activities to create a child.
So, no matter how you came or who you came from, Understand that you are important and there is an assignment and a task when you arrived. Even matter of fact, Imma go back. Back. Even before you were in your mother's womb. God knew you. Now, god knew that you were going to come but the method man chose that. Yeah. Man told that. Some people feel like, well, you know, my mama told me or my daddy told me that they were going to hand me up for adoption or they were going to abort me but instead of my mama using that money to abort me, she decided to go ahead and keep me. Well, thank god. But understand you still have importance.
Regardless of how you got here, you were here. There was a song that I heard this week and it's been really on me. It's a young, it's a a song by a young lady named Olita Adams. I don't care how you get here. Get here if you can. Where you got here. In spite of how you got here. You are here for a reason. And now that you're here. Not that you're here. There's a purpose and plan that God has for you. In spite of like I say in spite of who you are. Plan that god has for you. In spite of like I said, in spite of who you came from, there was a purpose and a plan and you have identity. You have value. You have purpose. You have worth.
And we need your contribution to society. We need your contribution to the world. And also we need your contribution within the family. In other words, you have a voice. Now, what we have to do, we have to let you know the importance of your voice but also we have to educate you. You know, one of the things I always look at pertaining to the importance of who we are even within our family. Think about it. Your last name represent who you came from. But your first name represent or identifies you who you are from, where you came from. So, in other words, your last name let you know what group or what, yeah, what group you came from.
But your first name lets you know who you are within that group. So, everybody is important. There's no little eyes or small Ts. You are important not just to god, yes, but also to your family and your friends. True friends. Now, your family, yeah, your family, you didn't choose your family but in spite of you not choosing your family, god allowed you to be in that family for a purpose and a plan. One of the things I always say, in the Bible, the Bible tells us and teach us how to choose our mate. The Bible tells us and teach us how to choose our friends. The Bible tells us and teach us even how to eat healthy but nowhere in the Bible that the Bible tell us how to pick or choose our family and so if we don't have a choice in us choosing our family, then, they are assigned to us for a reason.
If you can't say amen, say ouch. My my sister Sheila and I used to always say, you know what? I think we were adopted. Oh, boy. Yeah, but we said, we said that because, you know, number 1, we we wouldn't be in city. We were being serious. You know, but we we said that because we were like, we are like, well, we don't know about them other ones but come to find out as we grew up, we realized the importance of who we are not just in the family but who how important we are to each other. And so, with it, understanding the importance of your dash representing your life.
Life? I want each and everyone of us. This might not be, I'll put like this. Imma be straight up to the point. This is the time for us to evaluate everything pertaining to the purpose and plan, not just the purpose plan god has for us but what are we doing in operating in a purpose and a plan right now? Now, let's evaluate those plans and the purpose that you're operating in right now. First of all, is it of god? Or is it an agenda that maybe selfish? Also, always challenge people with this. What are you doing right now? Whatever you're doing, can you maintain and doing that for the rest of your life?
There are some people right now. They 70 years old. Still trying to slang. Still trying to do some devilment. Still trying to mess around and be a womanizer or be a be a older cougar to try to live out their youthfulness. Come on now. We gotta be realistic. You know, one of the things that we often look at, matter of fact, when we look at, I love music, I love music. When we look at music theory, music theory was the study of, if I'm not, if I'm not mistaken, Mozart. I don't think it was Beethoven but I believe it was the study of his music. How his music was constructed.
How it was arranged. But let's look at how long he's been been dead. He been dead for many years. But see, now we still enjoying the fruit of his labor by listening to classical music that still resonate to this day. And, hey, Beethoven. Beethoven not only a prestigious musical arranger, but also their name also coincides with the dog that they made a movie out of. All because of the original Beethoven. Matter of fact, we were off to talk about and we we spoke about this even in the Sunday school lesson where no, no, I'm sorry. There wasn't a Sunday school lesson. That was message I did some time ago.
It was Ruth. Ruth, Marion, Naomi's kin, which was uh-uh Naomi's husband, Ken, which was Boaz. Boaz and what we discussed often time when there was a family member that we love that passed on or someone we just wanted to celebrate that was still alive. We often name our offsprings after them. My daddy, my daddy, and I were named after my my daddy's mother's brother. And so, these type of celebrations of us acknowledging our family. Those are things that is letting us know that we're leaving a fingerprint in life. Matter of fact, often time when people address my daddy, they would think about my uncle and also on down the line.
My brother, Walter, had the best of both worlds. He was named after my mama's favorite uncle as well as my daddy's father. So, looking at you being able to have your fingerprints in society in this world. Even after you've gone and even after you've passed on. You having your purpose and the plan that god had for you unveiled in front of Damascus. Now, I will say this, this is so important for us to be mindful and responsible and being looking at our time and looking at our time that we're operating in right now. Us evaluating the time that we have that we're in. It is no time for us to waste.
It is no time for us to be wasteful with our life, with our time, with our talent. And that's why number 1, like I said, the question is, what are we doing with our dash? As well as also looking at making your dash means something of importance. Now, in that, you operate in the purpose man god has for you. Understand that the devil would try to bring things or people into your life to prevent you from living the purpose and plan that god has for you. Understand this, if you go on forward in life, the devil will try to bring somebody to stop you or pull you back. And one of the key things I always talk about is being careful in who you linking yourself up with.
Number 1, pertaining to matters of the heart, pertaining to who you're dating. I've seen so many people who start off, who start off running, doing good, good, good things. You know, in their in their rhythm, in their purpose, in their plan, fulfilling god's assignment, all these things but then, all of a sudden, they get linked up with the wrong one and all of a sudden, it's like they just go off to the sunset and they burn everything that they've worked for. I wanted to think about. Number 1, even in you choosing someone pertaining to matters of the heart. Even when you're choosing someone, don't you know that's one of the devil's big things that he try to do. He'll always try to link up someone that's within their purpose with someone that's pulling against their purpose.
Understanding that the devil gonna try to always match you up with a crawfish. A crawfish, when you look at a crawfish, when a crawfish fish about to get out the jar, there's another crawfish that grabbed them and pulled them down. And that's what happened to a lot of people pertaining to matters of the heart. People need to be responsible and conscious of when you are in your rhythm, when you're in your purpose, your plan, the assignment that god has for you. Don't you know, it puts you on the radar and you have to be conscious of it. Do not take that for granted.
Do not think, well, you know, god got me. Yes. God got you with what? First of all, he'll give you warning But, yeah, because he give you warning does not mean look. He I'm saying he gonna give you a choice. That does not mean that he gonna make you not or make you take heed to that warning. Why? Because god not going to go against our character. Excuse me. God not going to go against our will. He not going to go against our will. He going to present, hey, this person is no good. Well, you know, Imma pray about it. Look at her. Ain't no need to pray about it. When it's black and white right there and I'm not going to get a little soapbox but I tell people, we use that word as a sorry excuse. Well, I just pray about it. Well, let me ask you this. Let me ask you this.
Right now, let's just say if you see somebody getting beat up, if you see somebody getting jumped on, are you going to call 911? Are you going to go ahead and say, well, hey, well, you know what? Imma pray that that person stop beating on that person. No. You gotta take actions. Now, you pray for the person afterwards and I know I said that some people may I'm I'm a say it like this, for us to stop using the excuse when it's time for us to execute action. If you had a red light and then all of a sudden, the light turns green. Are you going to stay there?
And ask, hey, what do I need to do? Are you going to go ahead and press on the accelerator and go forward? You need to go. Go. So, when the reason why I had to bring it up because some people, I ain't going to say everybody but some people, they say excuse of where I prayed about because they expecting god to do what god told them to do. That's why. And so, it's so important for us to be mindful pertaining to the matter of the heart. When you operate in the purpose of plan god has for you, you have to be discerning. You have to look within the spiritual realm with your spiritual eyes and listen with your spiritual ears for you to detect who is, look, who was sent by god or who was made by Satan.
It is your responsibility and also be mindful when people come to you and they show you who you are, who they are, believe em. Believe them, believe them, believe them. Because god's going to always let us know. God can always give us a sign but don't be so quick to make a decision without consulting god first. So, this pertaining to matters of the heart, pertaining to dating, pertaining to love. Now, also, not only pertaining to dating and love but also pertaining to friendships. Yes, friendships. There are people that will sabotage your place. There are people that will even in witchcraft so you won't succeed.
Yes. Some people, well, you know, you know, I'm I'm strong enough. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no You don't do that. Well, you know who a person or how a person is. Hey, look here. You might have to exit them out of your life. Don't allow anybody within your surroundings to make you have your blessings hindered because you have the wrong people within your circle.
That's why I tell people, hey, Laquiere. Don't try to get a circle. I I heard somebody mention this, and I was like, wow. That makes so much sense. But stop trying to have a circle. Start getting a square. Start getting the square. Or if you want to, start getting the rectangle. Oh, just in case you want to, start getting a triangle. Why is that? You can get a square, a rectangle, or a triangle. Why? Because those have corners and you'll be able to detect who's on your corner. But a circle, hey, it's hard to detect because people are still moving around. So, ask god to help you to discern who's in your corner.
Understand that if they going to be disrespectful to god, they will be disrespectful to god's child. If they will be loving and obedient to god, they will be loving and obedient to god's child but god want you to listen to him so you can discern, so you can see the person's true identity. And I just I brought that in because there are a lot of things that hinder us from leaving a mark in society. But also I want you to think about this. What do you want to be known for? What do you want to be known for? Are you, do you want to be known for that person where that was wasteful?
Do you want to be known for that person who made bad decisions all the time? Look here. Matter of fact, even in Genesis, talk about looking at Lot's wife. Looking at Lot's wife. What is known about Lot's wife? When god told her to go and not look back, she went and she looked back and she turned to a pillow of salt. And understand, I'm a I'm a say a little bit of the story. And when we look at it, the pillar salt wasn't so much of, can she look like them poof? She just instantly, instantly turned to a pillar salt. Get this. In that region, it was a mountainist, it was a mountain tourist region.
And on top of that mountain, on top of those mountains, it was something called sulfur. And what is sulfur? Sulfur is salt. And what happened when she got disobedient and she turned. Lightning struck and hit the mountain or if you want to say hit the sofa and it trampled on her and what happened because she was looking at what what she loved. She was more concerned about what she was leaving versus where she was going. And you know what happened? Because of her looking back at where her heart desire was. She became a product of her environment.
Meaning the sulfur of the salt. Yeah. That's where she remains to this day. She's a permanent fixture and a reminder to all of us. To first of all, examine our hearts and leave was not right for us. Leave was not right for us. You know, it's so many people. It's so many people that we see. They just some people that they just don't care but also, that's why I always tell people this and you discern and looking at the people that you may quote unquote consider dating, marrying, or even consider having as a friend. Understanding who they are and what their interests are. Look at what their will is attached to.
Because if you believe in doing the right thing but this person love devil and foolishness, you know what's going to happen? Every, it seem like when it come down to the ceiling stuff, oh, they just like, well, you know, you're like, I need to find out more about this person. You need to study who these people are because the people that you're linking up with, they would determine if you're going to go forward, go backwards, or if you're going to struggle, if you're going to struggle, why? Because often time, we choose people that catapult us, that hold us back, or make us struggle.
Why? Because we feel like, well, you know, I just wanna help the person. Sometime, our heart has gotten us into trouble in choosing people that was not assigned to us. And like I said, this is not evertain to dating or marriage but friendship. Even some people that we end up helping that god did not authorize or tell us to help. I always talk about they're saying, before we consult with god, think about the game Simon says. It says, Simon says, go left. We go left. Simon says, go right. We go right. Simon says, jump up. We jump up. But it say, sit down. If Simon did not say sit down, then you remain standing.
I brought that up because when it come down to hearing the voice of god and consulting him in all of our ways for him to direct our path, the question is, did you consult with god first? And then after you consulted with god, the question is, did he respond back? All the time, we'll tell god what our request is but we end up going ahead of him before he moves or before he give us an answer. So, it's so important for us to start making better decisions pertaining to what? Because doing, I ain't gonna say good stuff, god. But more so of doing whatever we wanna do with and leaving god out of the equation.
You know, in order for us to really leave our fingerprints in this world, we cannot do it outside of god's assistance or god's help, god's strength. We can't do it without him. The only way we could be effective is doing it through him. One of the things I always think about, and I mentioned this earlier. I spoke about doctor Martin Luther King, and he actually inspired me when I wrote my book. He inspired me. He inspired me when I looked at he was a minister, an activist. He won a multimillionaire for his work ethic. He left a lasting impression.
And we all should should be inspired. Matter of fact, we look at I was looking at a couple of weeks ago. I was looking at, Muhammad Ali and the and what he went through. I'm like, wow. Now I do have to say this. I didn't bring this up earlier, but earlier, I was preparing myself. And as I'm preparing myself, my phone was on YouTube, and there was a song that came on. And it was about Luther Vandross. Now I know some people. What what you doing talking about a secular song? Listen. The song was your secret love. And it tells the story of the character, if you wanna say, Luther Vandross.
He was seeing this young lady that she will only see him in private. She did not wanna go out publicly with him. But he got tired of being her secret love. And, you know, I was listening in that song. I've I've always loved that song, and I love story. I love stories. And I just pictured, man, imagine for imagine trying to fulfill your purpose in life but the person that you love the most loves you the least. The person you wanna go publicly with only wanna sees you privately. The person that you wanna give your all to is the person that wants to give you nothing. Only when it's convenient or wanna use part of you but not all of you. Wanna have part of you but not all of you.
And often time when we look at that, sometimes they make us think about man. Am I wasting my time? Yes. So the question is, in anything that you're doing in life, can you probably examine it and look and see, am I wasting my time? Matter of fact, some people and then not yet pertain to relationships, matters to the heart, or friendships. But think about there might be a career that you're in and you're doing it and you don't even love it. You're doing it and the reason why you're doing it is because you're in fear of stepping out and what god told you to do. There are so many people that are comfortable in their discomfort.
There are people that are right in a job and they are miserable. Not because they hate the job, but they hate themselves because that's not really them. But they are too scared to step out on faith. God, look here. Many people have told him, hey, man. Look here. You can do it. Man, look, you're doing great. This is what you do. No. No. No. Because so many people told me, man, I I shouldn't do it. My mama, you know, my mama failed at it. My daddy failed at it. My brothers failed at it. So maybe it was meant for me to not do it because maybe I'm a fail. You might be the one that succeed.
See, they got a glimpse of your purpose, but they were trying to fulfill their purpose with your purpose, and that's why they fail. But if it's something that's keeping you up at night, if it's something that you just can't shake because you're like, man, I I I just I feel this, like, this baby just ready to just jump out. But you're gonna allow fear to stop you? I wanna challenge you. In case you that person, I want you to do your homework on that baby that's crying out trying to come out of you. I want you to do your homework. And that homework is first, fast and pray.
And consult god and ask him, is this something that you want me to do? Or is this something that maybe just I maybe look, it might be an idea for me to start off. It might be an idea for me to do the whole thing but whatever it is, I don't know and it's okay to admit that you don't know. That's okay. But after you realize it, you don't know, let's figure out so you can know. It's so many people. A matter of fact, they've said this all the time but the richest place in the world is grave and it's so many people that have lived this life and died without fulfilling even a fraction or begin to start on the purpose that god placed them to be here for.
And not only you have robbed yourself, you have robbed us from what, look, what gift that god has blessed you to have and god trying to birth that out of you to give and share with us. I want you to think about that Think about that. A 100 years from now, that thing that you started that thing, that baby, that purpose that god trying to have you to give birth to. A 100 years from now, it may be another Walmart. A 100 years from now, it may be another Amazon. A 100 years from now, it may be something else called the internet. A 100 years from now, it might be Gucci.
Gucci. Look. Gucci wear. It may be something that may turn your family into the, look, the dynasty. It may be, it may be something, it may be something that god want you to contribute to the world to make a statement. You know, we often talk about Do you know who your great, great, great, great, great grandfather is? And oftentimes, some people say, no. You know why? Because he may not left you anything. But if he left you something, then there's gonna be a picture under the fireplace, over the fireplace. It might be a painting of him. And like I said, it could be some type of art.
It could be a book. You know, it could be anything. It could be advice. You know, whatever it is. But you have something to contribute. In other words, you need to let people know that you once existed. I'm a say that again. You have to leave something here on this earth to let people know that you contributed something. This person contributed something that left a lasting impact in this world in this world. You gotta do it. But instead, you have to look at, am I allowing fear? Yeah. If I'm not operating in faith, the opposite of faith. Get this.
The opposite of faith, it ain't fear. The opposite of faith is sight. Sight. Why sight? Because what happen is faith if it sells a thing hopeful and evidence of things not seen. And so because you don't see it, you can run with it. You can run for it. But when you see something, then, if you feel like you can't do it, now you have allowed fear to come in but you operating in fear because of what you see, not for what you don't see. And so what you have to do is ask god to help you to not see what your physical eyes but help you see within the spiritual eyes. Help you see with your spiritual lenses.
So, that way, you can operate in faith because when you see with your spiritual lenses, you can see what god have for you and what god told you to do. But when you look in sight, would you look when you look at within your physical, when you look, when you look through your physical eyes or your physical lens or your sight, what happen is we get turned. It is always going to go the opposite. I was going to say the opposite of what god said. So, that's why it's so important for you to not go on-site Go on vision. Don't go on what you see.
Go on what you don't see. Consult with God. Because what I realized Each day we live, we're getting closer to the grave. Each day we live and lost time, we don't want to talk about that. Hey, look at. I ain't trying to rush out. Look, I'm a make heaven my home. Heaven is my home, and I'm going to heaven. But look here, I ain't trying to rush myself up out of here. There's still work to be done. There's still work to be done. So what about right now? You evaluate everything pertaining to your life. Evaluate everything. And after you evaluate everything, I want you to look at, man, I might have been wasteful, might have been wasteful.
But now I'm making a change. The first thing you do in changing in accepting Jesus Christ your personal savior. Like I say, unless Jesus comes back unless Jesus comes back a 100 years from now, will you still be here? Chances are chances are probably not. They just say, if you're in your 70s right now, a 100 years from now, these are the kind of conversation we have to have. So, that way, if anything happen where you no longer exist, it won't become a burden to the family. And, this may be very transparent. I had a conversation with my younger brother, my I call him my little brother. I had a conversation with my little brother after, my sister was killed.
And, you know, that made me excuse me. That made us have the conversation to let us know, hey. Look. If anything can happen, go here, do here, and here, and there. Then my stuff is, even the conversation with my if you now I said it then. We can say stepmother or bonus mother. People need to know. People gotta know. But also not just you know preparing or having insurance, life insurance, having insurance but also having assurance. Make sure that your soul is right with god and also, look here em. Those that are believers of Jesus Christ, we want our loved ones saved and delivered. We want them to accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior but we ain't going to be lying at your funeral.
Live a life where speaking about you will be easy. Don't live a life where if something happen to you, we gotta try to find the word. Say, well, you know, one thing I can say, that boy love apples. That's all you can say about them. Come on now. But heaven were they can talk and we can hear stories and it will bless the family. But don't be a burden to the family where the people like, oh lord, I don't know how he was living but I tell you what, I'm not trying to say trying to put him in heaven or put him in hell. Boy, I tell you, he shall live a hellacious lifestyle.
You know? So making sure first, we are an example. And like I said, accepting Jesus as our personal savior and being an example that our life can mentor others. Our life will minister to others. We often sing the same. We often sing the song. You know, live a life that's pleasing unto god but also, if you can help someone along the way, then, your living won't be in vain. Are you living a purposeful life? I know there was a book that came out years ago called The Purpose Driven Life which showed a great example of someone named Samson.
The strongest man who ever lived that actually end up being the one of the weakest men to ever live. Why? Not just because he told the lighter all of his heart. But he told his secret but also even before he told the light of all his heart, he was being very playful with her. In a time that she would try to find out his secrets. What he would doing, he wasn't taking it seriously. My question is, are you taking life seriously? Are you taking life seriously? Or are you playing like it's a game? Because to be honest with you, so many people, they're living a life playing checkers but life is playing chess on them.
And it's so important for us to realize that look, I want to live forever. But we ain't got time to be wasting. We don't. If there's anything that you may have towards someone or whatever, I think, hey, look here. Ain't no time for us to hold on to grudges or hatred or unforgiveness. Look here. Don't let anything or anybody stop you. Number 1, from you missing heaven but also make your life miserable and cause yourself to be stressed or calling your health to decline because you holding on to unforgiveness or hatred.
The devil is a liar. Also, even if you try to work or try to do thing, even try to sleep. You know, a a person that hold on to unforgiveness, a person that hold on to hatred or jealousy, they are a miserable person. I always tell people, it's easy for us to say, well, you know, let it go. No. Give it to god but also looking at when a person is operating in their purpose and plan, they don't have time for foolishness. Anytime you see somebody or hear about somebody that's doing devilment, doing some deranged stuff, doing some hatred stuff. Look, they got too much time with their hands.
They too busy looking at other people when they need to be looking at themselves. Look, you got work you need to do. And when you're looking at, well, see, I can't stand it. Well, you know what? That person, they just let you know. Look, you ain't busy enough. You ain't busy enough. When a person is truly in a purpose and they plan, they ain't studying about other folks. Now, yeah. Now, there may be some people who may try to hate on them or try to do some things to sabotage their work yet. I can tell you that. I know about that. But you know what? I found out.
Look, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. I don't care if that person try to scandalize your name. You know what? When person is trying to scandalize your name and do some devilment towards you and you fulfilling the purpose and plan god has for you, they're not just doing it towards you. Most importantly, they're doing it towards god. And if god has given you an assignment and you fulfilling the purpose and and plan the assignment god has for you, then, they interfering in god's business and that's a business you need to stay out of. When you trying to be god in other people lives, well, I just say like this, you're no match to the true and living god.
That's, look here. That's a dangerous person and I'm not talking about for you to be in fear of that person. No. No. I'm talking about that person walking on. Look, death's door because they're going against god. You know, but it is funny. I think about even when Jesus went to cross out of those who betrayed him, Out of the excuse me. Out of those who betrayed him and those who you know crucified him. You know what he said? Father forgive him. You know not what they do. They don't. I know sometimes that's what we have to do. For those who may have done us wrong, god forgive them.
Forgive them. And like I always say, yeah, you can forgive a person. Forgive a person. That's easy. You can forgive them. But then because you've forgiven it does not mean that you got to trust him. I want us to understand that. Some of us have forgiveness. The definition of forgiveness totally wrong. Yes, forgiveness benefits you. But trust, you ain't gotta trust them. Look, when you forgive somebody, you don't have to give them the level of trust that they once had. Nope. And it's your choice if you choose to allow them to earn their trust or not. Like I say, I believe in keeping it real. So, that's something that we have to do. We have to understand that god want us to be more responsible so that way we can fulfill the perfect plan god has for us.
God has a purpose, a plan, and an assignment and one of the things I always tell people and I I I love this. I love hearing about people have dreams. I love it. But I always tell people this, even when you try to pursue and figure out the purpose of plan god have for you, I recommend you get a pen and paper and write down those conversations. Not just that you have it with god but those conversation that god have with you. Oftentime, we miss what god is telling us because we don't take seriously in the conversation that he gives us.
When god give that conversation with us or to us, you need to start taking notes because god may take, look, god may give you B. And then he may give you A. Then he may give you E. And later he may give you C. You need to write it down. Sometimes, god will give us a test to see if we're going to utilize what he gives us. It just like all we think about, cologne. And one of my mom's cousin used to come to our house and give us a sample. That sample, it wasn't a full size jar of the fragrance but what it was, it was a sample to let us test it out to see if it's something that we want and if it is something we want, then we go and purchase the big one.
But if it's something we don't want, we just kind of bypass it. Well, that thing that god has given you, that vision, that dream, that conversation god give you. Look at that as the tester, as the sample of the fragrance and if you love and it smells good, you can capitalize on it but the key thing is for you to take it seriously and smell it. God has given us a lot of samples and a lot of testers but we're not even smelling it. We're not even smelling it. We need to take god's word seriously in whatever dreams he give us, whatever vision he give us, even god will use people to talk to us and give us a word because often time, we're in a dilemma like, god, what should I do? God, do I need to god tell me? And then all of a sudden, after the move, god will come and say, you know what? I don't know you but the lord will tell me to tell you, you need to go ahead and blah blah blah blah blah and it'll be many time people say, Yep. That's confirmation.
Confirmation. Yeah. And there are the difference. I'm going to say this in hush. But there's between receiving confirmation or when people say god told me to tell you and he ain't saying nothing and it just out the blue. But god will always tell you before he tell other people but god may give other people the confirmation to give you to let you know that when he what that feeling that you got, there was him telling you and sometime we question god if this is my, look, if this is my emotions or my feelings speaking or this you and you're talking to god then all of a sudden, god will bring confirmation. And so, what you're dealing with right now, asking god to have you to leave a landmark, leave a legacy so that way, they'll know that you lived and you made an impact for yourself, for your family, and for this world And know that when the time comes, people still remember you a 100 years from now. And so with that being said, it's so important for us to look at what god word says and like I said, god told us for those who may not be saved. It's a great opportunity for you to accept Jesus Christ your personal savior.
Roman 10 and 9 tells us if thou shalt confess the lord Jesus Christ our savior and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession made unto salvation. With the heart, let's not talk about your quote unquote your organ, the muscle that's in your chest. The the look, the heart means the core of you. So, your thoughts, your intellect, your reasoning. Who you really are? Also, I want you to know that god is here for you and he want you to know more of him but also he wanna reveal who you are and I would encourage you, don't take this lightly.
Allow god to reveal to you who you are, who he is, and who you are so that way you can fulfill the purpose plan that he has for you. Like I said, it's not a coincidence. It's not a accident that you hear in 2024 in this world. Not a coincidence, but I will say this. You're here now, but you never know when our time is up. That's why we have to be about our father's business and, you know, you never know how much time you have. And it's sad. It's so look here. It's like a person living. Matter of fact, Methusalam was the person lived the longest. I believe he lived a 138 years, I believe. Some, I know it's from 90938 years, somewhere around there.
But all we know is he lived long. But was it a prosperous life? Did he make an impact? But on the other hand, there might been somebody that lived, Hey, think about this. There was someone that lived not 900 somewhat years but there's someone that lived 33 years. 33 years And he was within his purpose. Who was that? Jesus Christ. And so with that being said, yes, allowing god to help us to understand what our purpose and plan is and for us to you it and do it unto him. Let us pray. Dear heavenly father, we come to you right now. We're thanking all for your awesomeness. We're coming to you right now. God, we acknowledge your presence on the day. God, we're coming to you right now. God, ask god to help us right now, god.
To fulfill the purpose and the plan that you have for us. Help us right now, god. To surrender to you once and for all. Surrender our cares, surrender our worries, our anxieties, and any and everything that can hinder us from fulfilling the purpose and plan that you have for us right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we ask you to help us god to trust you god. Help us god to rely upon you in every area of our lives, god. Help us god to consult with you in every area of our lives right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we ask god to forgive us god. If we have mismanaged our time, our talent, and god we even ask god to help us god and we have called someone to mismanage their time and their effort right now. In the name of Jesus, help us right now god to be about your business, god.
Help us god not only to fulfill the purpose and plan you have for us but god ask god to help us right now god to perform in excellence right now god to properly execute whatever you have for us to do god. Help us god to complete the assignment right now. In the name of Jesus. Help us right now god to be all that you have for us to be god. Help us right now god to seek you like never before god. Help us god to acknowledge you in all of our ways. Help us right now god to worship you and obey you right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we can't do it without you. We not only do we want you in our life but we need you in our lives. We need you desperately god and help us god to give and do everything unto you god. Help us god to live a life that's pleasing to you right now god. Help us god to be a light to this world god. Help us god while we be in the salt of this world. Help us god to not lose our flavor, god. Help us right now, god. In area of our lives right now. In the name of Jesus and we're buying everything the devil stand for. We cancel the devil's assignment.
We cancel every booby trap. We bind every snare right now in the name of Jesus. We bind the weapon that the devil try to form right now. In the name of Jesus and lord, we thank you lord for covering right now. We thank you lord for your anointing. We thank you lord for your presence right now. In the name of Jesus and lord, we speak right now god. Even for those who maybe going to bed, god. Help them to have sweet sleep right now. In the name of Jesus. Minister to them even in their sleep right now god. God, help us god even to hear your voice, god. Even while we sleep right now, god and help us god to place within our spirit, man, god and execute it god and and put action behind our and the words that you've given us, god. Help us god to execute what you have us to do god. Help us god to put your word into practice and to action right now. In the name of Jesus. Help us right now god to have the vision that you have for us to have right now god. Give us clarity god. God, we speaking god that you sharpen our spiritual senses right now, god. In the name of Jesus, help us god to speak your language, god. Help us god to operate in love, god. Helping us god to operate in forgiveness, god. Help us god to operate in peace and deliverance right now. In the name of Jesus. Helping us god even to pray for our enemies right now. In the name of Jesus.
And lord, we thank you right now, god, for everything you've done. And, beloved, even ask god to comfort those who are grieving during this hour, god. Grieving during this season right now, god. Help them right now, god. Help them, god. Comfort them. Be with them right now. In the name of Jesus. God, we thank you right now, god. For being a god of all comfort and lord, we even thank you lord for even bringing healing in the land right now, god. Those who may have been sick including myself, god. Thank you, lord, for even for my healing, god. I receive it right now, god. In the name of Jesus. And, lord, I thank you right now, god, for everything you've done and most importantly, everything that you are. In Jesus name, we pray. We say amen. Amen. Amen.

You know, I miss a loved one, and I always talk about her sometime normally or unknowingly. But, I thank god I thank god for her and also even during this time. Yeah. Even though it might have been, you know, a few years ago, but continue to be continue to keep our family up in prayer. You know, it's been a little over 5 years. And so with that being said, I want each and every one of us to be careful doing this holiday season. You know? Yeah. You you might be saved. You might be doing being careful, but not everybody have good intentions.
