Why is dancing one of the most liberating experiences a soul can experience?
In this BONUS episode of Dance OUR Dreams Podcast, you learn about an amazing initiative and HERO of mine who shows you how moving your body to the rhythm of funky upbeat tunes can make your soul let go of grudges and burdens that hold you hostage.
But what about women and men who are actually in PRISON?
Our epic guest, Lucy Wallace launched her project “Dance To Be Free” to support women who are in prison by teaching them the power of dance and movement.
Lucy started teaching dance in 2007 at Alchemy of Movement (AOM) in Boulder, CO. In 2010, she bought AOM, after receiving her master’s degree in Psychology. Her psychology background led to the birth of Dance To Be Free due to the therapeutic and cathartic quality of her teaching style. Lucy has been invited to speak at several speaking engagements including Emerging Women and the first-ever live-streamed TEDx Talk at the Nebraska Correctional Center for Women.
