Aloha. Welcome to Bitcoin for Peace. As we witness humanity and Earth suffer because of the broken system of lies, greed, and corruption, I discussed the intersection of how Bitcoin is helping solve the world's toughest problems, like human rights, clean energy, inflation, Censorship, war, human health, financial freedom, privacy, and more. I was shocked to learn that a digital currency could help with All of this. Join me on the mission to build a better world for all kids, big and small, and discover How the money of the future will contribute to a more peaceful and prosperous planet for all.
Please like, subscribe, and share with the people you care about. Now let's get on with the show. Mhmm. Hey. Aloha, love tribe. Welcome to Bitcoin for Peace. This is DJ Valerie, belove, and I have Barry Liebrechts Sierra from Podhome dot f m, and he is gonna help us understand how to preserve free speech And have censorship free podcasting with Podcasting 2 point o. Welcome, Barry. What's up?
[00:01:36] Unknown:
Hi. Thank you very much for, for having me. And great pronunciation of my last name, by the way. Yay. I know it's difficult.
[00:01:45] Unknown:
It's important. You know? And I love being able to To talk to people from all over the world about Bitcoin and music and peace and love, and I think it's so cool. So where where are you at right now?
[00:01:58] Unknown:
I am in the Netherlands, hence the last name. So I do a lot of online courses and things like that talking about technology. So usually, I just say, hey. I'm Barry from whatever, you know, or Azure Barry as I talk about Microsoft Azure, for instance. Try to use these things to avoid
[00:02:17] Unknown:
pronouncing my last name because it's very difficult. Well, so okay. Let's have it. Tell the audience a little bit about yourself, and what's your background? How did you get involved with podcasting? And how on earth did you get to the point of Starting a whole podcast hosting service that's using, you know, podcasting 2 point o and value for value in AI.
[00:02:36] Unknown:
Yeah. So my background is in software development. I you know, I don't know, 15 years ago or something, I started that. And what that basically is is you type some text into a computer. You hit a button. It compiles. It does some magic. And then somebody can actually see a button and do something with it. And since I've done that for the 1st time, you know, it it was magic to me, and I'm still in love with it because that means you can just create stuff with text. Right? It's just it's insane, really. And you can even make stuff that works in the real world, like robots or turn the lights on and off. I don't know. So it's awesome stuff. So I I always kept continuing to do that software development through consultancy and all sorts of things, solid companies.
And then I think 10, 11 years ago, I started to work for myself as an entrepreneur. I've had several startup things. And I think 7 years ago or so, I started to teach more online. Before that, I did it in person. That was a thing to do. Online courses wasn't really a thing. It did exist here and there, but it wasn't mainstream. So he did it, you know, in person. People actually came To a building, you sat there, and then we taught each other. It still happens, universities, I think. But, a lot less now, of course. But so I created lots of, online courses about software development, cloud computing, very brain broad range, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, quantum computing even, and later on expanded into the world of health and wellness as well As I had my own struggles there for decades due to, you know, our food supply is basically poisoned.
It's poison. And you you need to figure that out. You know? Everybody figures that out In their own time. But I figured that out and healed myself, and I'd been teaching about learning and teaching about, health and wellness as well through courses and also through, podcasting. So Learning software development and learning about health and wellness, I did that also through podcasts, so through listening to podcasts. They've been around for quite a while, decades now. And they're way more mainstream now than they were ever before, of course, because we now have so much access to information with our devices that are always on and stealing our attention, really, but they also bring positive things like podcasts Where people talk about all sorts of stuff. You can learn magical things there. So I've always liked that and the intimacy of Listening to someone's voice. Right? Especially disconnected from time where you can just download a thing. You can be doing something else. You can be driving or, You know, cleaning, walking, and then listening to, to somebody speak or to a conversation.
It's there there's a bit of magic in there. And then I also started to create podcasts myself because I always like to, you know, contribute things to the world, and I think Creating things is is is nice. I like to do that. And so through that process of learning and creating, And whilst you create and teach, you learn a lot more. I ran into the pain of that it's a lot of work to create a podcast. It is. Or to create anything, really, a course, a podcast. And so I want to help with that Because the the platforms that I was using to create and host and distribute my podcast didn't do the things that I wanted them to do.
So Knowing that I can just type text into a computer and create things, I started to create Podthome. Fm. That is podcast hosting company with intelligent podcasting tools. And that is live now. It has been live since the beginning of November, which is We're currently at November 30, 2023, so just a month. And This is unlimited podcasting. So what I offer clients is a place where you can upload Unlimited amount of shows, unlimited amount of episodes, unlimited upload of megabytes, downloads of megabytes. It doesn't matter. It's Completely unlimited for 1 monthly price price, which is 15.99 a month.
And I want I wanted this to be as modern as possible and as user friendly as possible. So I incorporated lots of Features from the podcasting 2.0 initiative. That's not something that I came up with. That's an open source initiative to keep podcasting Open, free, censorship resistant as much as possible, of course. Yeah.
[00:07:22] Unknown:
And and that's help people understand who may not under know what podcasting 2 point o and value for value is?
[00:07:29] Unknown:
Yeah. So podcasting 2 point o, like I said, that it's a is an initiative by a a community led by or or inspired by people like David Jones and Adam Curry. And they created a podcast index.org, which is a website you can go to. And that is The UI for the podcast index. And the podcast index is a database that stores podcasts Just like Apple Podcasts does and Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, those are all platforms, and those are, You know, from big tech. So when you have a podcast in Apple Podcasts, for instance, and you say something naughty about, I don't know, the last 3 years with that virus that we had, Your podcast gets removed. That's not good. So we need something else and also something that supports modern Features like transcripts, chapters, people, clips, all that type stuff that you have in modern podcasting apps So that you have a better and richer experience as a listener. So the Podcast Index is an open source podcast directory, so a database where podcasts live. And because it's open source and maintained by the community, it doesn't get censored. It doesn't matter what you say. It just stays in there. And modern podcasting apps, like, for for instance, fountain fountain.fm, there's a podcast guru. There's Podfans.fm.
There's a bunch of them. They all use the podcast index as a database to get those podcasts. So there will always be a place where your podcast can be played. You you can't get censored, which is awesome. And on top of that, you also have these modern features like transcripts, Chapters, people, clips, video in some cases as well, and, like you just alluded to, value for value. And value for value is a very interesting thing because that's also part of this podcasting 2 point o initiative, And this enables podcasters and also musicians to monetize their content.
So when you have A podcast and you host it at Podthome, for instance, or any of the other modern podcast hosting companies, because there are some some others as well, You can configure a lightning address for your show, and it can be a Get Alby address, for instance, Or from your own lightning note, Bitcoin lightning note. It can be anything really or that one there,
[00:09:56] Unknown:
if you're listening. I just spun that up this morning.
[00:09:59] Unknown:
So you can just you can just configure that very simple in the UI, and then it will be in your in the RSS feed of your podcast because a podcast is basically an RSS feed, which is an XML document that these directories can read and that these apps can read. Once you have that and your podcast gets played on fountain by a listener, for instance, they can decide to stream sets, so satoshis, To you whilst they are listening. So for instance, a 100 sets per minute automatically, you receive that directly without any middlemen, Or they can boost. They sent you a boost.
For instance, they can send you a 1,000 sets with a little message. Oh, I love this episode, which is awesome. So this enables you to monetize your episodes and also to share. Because if you have a guest, for instance, and you know their lit their Lightning address, you just add that to the episodes, and you say, well, this guest gets 50% of whatever this episode gets streamed or boosted, and then automatically that goes to your guest. And the same goes for artists as well. Artists can Upload their music as a podcast, again, as an RSS feed, and do the same thing. So they can configure their value for value information, so their lightning addresses.
Might be 10, for instance, if you have a band where you want to split all the all the stuff. And then when people listen to your music on a modern podcasting app and they stream Satoshis and they boost you, you receive that directly without any middlemen, without any Spotify in between or Any group that, I don't know, wants to redistribute your your streaming money, you get that directly, including the messages from your listeners. So you have that interaction with your listeners as well. And in Pothome, we do not we we never get any Cut of your value.
So whatever you configure, you get it automatically and directly. We do not take a cut. You already pay us a subscription fee per month, and that's that's that's that. That's clear. So this whole podcasting 2.0 Initiative and value for value makes for a very modern podcasting experience and, you know, enables creators to have more control a bit of monetization and a bit more interaction with the listeners.
[00:12:16] Unknown:
I think it's so cool. And I you know, obviously, As, you know, both of us, we talked about yesterday, this is our 2nd go at this episode because of some some tech technical difficulties, I think, over here on my end, so So I apologize for that. And but I really think, you know, the the idea of Getting as many middlemen out of our lives as possible is attractive to me personally. And There's a place and time for middlemen, you know, and there's a place and time for direct peer to peer. Right? And so I think this is something that it's a consciousness shift as Consumers of content and information. Right? And so the more that we can educate ourselves and each other and our audiences about These new ways of engaging with, you know, your favorite artists, whether they're a podcaster, a video producer, a music person, whoever, blogger, It it's really, really important because, like, we had spoken about, the attention economy is so polluted with so much Nonsense and noise out there if we can get more signal from the people that we're interested in and then give them direct support. And like you had said yesterday with time, treasure, or talent, and I love that phrase, it's it's super it's revolutionary.
You know, it's really opportunity for creators and for their their audience to have a little more cohesion, you know, and really Share value with each other and grow together as creators and and as as listeners. And so so I think it's really interesting. And we're not obviously like you said, most of us are not Joe Rogan. We're not out there making, you know, 1,000,000 of dollars being a podcaster. You know, we're doing it because we love it. We're doing it because we're getting to engage with new people, new audience members, new content from A variety of sources. So I can I go back a little bit? You had said 2 things.
You were on a healing journey, And you were saying that, you know, food is poison, and I also the food that you had been eating is poison. However, I think what we understand is, you as a coder and a programmer, Like, food is code. Right? And so we're coding our bodies with what we ingest. Right? And so same thing as we're programming computers with code, We're also programming our minds, our consciousness, everything with the words, with the things that we're saying. And so every single thing that we consume is code to some degree or another. Right? Would you how do you feel about that statement?
[00:14:52] Unknown:
Yeah. So you can go back to my Improving Barry podcast. Just type in improving Barry, and you'll find it. I've spoken to many leaders in the, let's call it, the alternative health world, which is unfortunate because it's not alternative at all. And it's so clear that our complete food system, Everything all all the notes is completely captured by big companies. So it all starts at, for instance, 7th day Adventist Church with Harvey Kellogg, you know, Kellogg Corn Flakes. He invented that stuff because he doesn't like masturbation, because he wants Jesus Christ to return. And, in order to do that, you should really listen to my episodes with Nina Teicholz, which is best selling author.
She has documented all of this, and this is very well documented, actually. So Harvey Kellogg invented bland, high carbohydrate food, So Kellogg's Corn Flakes, which blunt testosterone in men, so it works very well. And that makes your sex drive go away, basically. And so you don't want to masturbate anymore, Which ups the chances that Jesus Christ might return. That's the whole thing. So they are very powerful, the 7th advantage because they from, I don't know, the sixties or something, have been influencing, at least in the US and therefore, worldwide, unfortunately, Food based policies, yeah, around the world. So and they do that all based on this ideology that Jesus Christ should return.
And you do that by making people lose their sex drive. And how do you do that? You do that by not eating protein or fat, By eating a heart high carbohydrate plant foods, which includes also vegan diets and such. So they Promote veganism very much, and they are behind lots and lots of groups And institutions, nonprofits, and such that, yeah, that promote this stuff and that also do research for meat, for instance, that, come up with studies that say that meat causes cancer and things like that.
[00:17:04] Unknown:
Oh my gosh.
[00:17:06] Unknown:
Look into that. And what what that basically means is that everything that you hear from governments, from foods, Institutions and and mainstream doctors and such is basically wrong. So the easy way to fix your health is do exactly the opposite of everything that you've been recommended, which makes it very easy. So it's it's very unfortunate because even when you're trying to eat the right things right, you think, alright. I'm gonna go to, I know. Farmers market or something, and I'm trying to eat healthy, get get my rainbow of vegetables. Chances are that those are are poisonous. Right?
Somebody sprayed glyphosate on them or some other thing that is biological, at least gets the stamp of biological from the FDA, And, you know, you don't trust the FDA at all, then still it's gonna hurt you probably. And also most of these things did not exist a 100 years ago. We just created them. So
[00:18:11] Unknown:
Wow. Wow. I you know, I've I've I've talked many times about the notion of an insidious Government or entity, you know, wanting to have control and hijacking our food supply to weaken people. You know? And, obviously, when you weaken the fighters, the men, by lowering their testosterone through a variety of means, whether it's through the water, whether it's through soy, whether it's through any of this. So and, obviously, a vegan diet to me is very it I I see, like, certain there's all these examples of people. Oh, vegan. Look at me. I'm so muscular, whatever. Most people can't achieve that. They don't get As big and muscular as they would if they're eating meat. So to me, nutrition is very there's no one size fits all, but There is, you know, I think patterns you could look at to notice, like, people's energy levels and their their They're oomph for life if they're too if they're soyboys. You know? I think and that's something that a lot of this I, You know, Bitcoiners talk a lot about, you know, having a carnivore diet and different ways that they've overcome inflammatory diseases and things like that. And so I think everybody's body is unique, and you have to be your own doctor, obviously, and figure out how this all works. But The fact that there's this another organization like this doing, you know, food sci ops, if as it were, it seems just People really need to have so so so this circles back to free speech.
If we're getting censored left, right, and center because because we're speaking up against these powers that be about the truth or questioning their motives and questioning the truth. We're never gonna have a free society if we don't have free speech ever. And so this is why podcasting 2.0, and this is why Noster, this is why all of these opportunities for people to have the ability to speak truth to power and at least question it Without getting censored and blocked or deleted from a platform is imperative for the next part of our journey as humans on this planet. And Did did you see what Elon Musk did yesterday?
[00:20:31] Unknown:
Yeah. That was so
[00:20:32] Unknown:
I loved that. That was awesome. Go, Elon. I Love you. Yeah. I don't wanna agree with him on everything. That's for darn sure. Nobody does, and nobody agrees with anybody on anything, everything. That's ridiculous. But That was the yay. Good for him. So who knows? Maybe Twitter will turn into Noster Or something. I don't know what's gonna happen here. But but so okay. So let's let's get back to to, you know, Your service and how are you gonna you know, you're just launching. When did you launch exactly? It's pretty recently. Right? It was November 3rd. Yeah. Yeah. So oh, wow. So I'm one of your very, very, very first people. Right? Yeah. It's going pretty fast, but you're you're one of the first. Yeah. Yeah.
This is So cool. Yeah. I just switched, guys, my whole podcast over to Pod Home this last weekend, and Barry's been super helpful making sure that Everything is working properly, and it is. So, yeah, move your podcast over. It takes, you know, 5 minutes literally to change your RSS feed over. And you set up a couple things, and you're ready to go. So what's on the horizon? What are you guys gonna be building out in the future?
[00:21:46] Unknown:
So we have lots of cool features already. So we have the podcasting 2 point o modern feature set, right, with transcripts, chapters, is all that type stuff, and we try to take as much work out of your hands as possible. So we have Potthome AI, for instance, when you upload a new episode or an existing episode. You can just say, hey. I want to use Pothome AI to generate transcripts, chapters, title ideas, show notes, detect people, and create some clips. It does that within a couple of minutes for you. We want to expand on that idea as well to make it More easy for you to, for instance, create social posts as well.
We are wow. There's so so many things that we're Gonna be working on. We're gonna create a kind of a gamification thing in there where you are gonna be able to earn experience. So XP points when you do something. So when you get downloads for your episodes, when you upload new episodes, When you create a transcript, for instance, because that helps listeners. Right? And you can then level up so that experience will then translate into levels. Like, level 1 is Podcasts, in office or something. Level 2 is podcast boss, and we we're gonna come up with some cool names. But most importantly, you will then be able to earn rewards.
So by podcasting and podcasting more, you will be able to earn a reward, and a reward will be, for instance, a month Free on our platform or a coupon that you can use to give your friends for a month or so free on our platform. So that will incentivize you to serve the community better by putting out more stuff, basically. Right? So we're gonna be doing, yeah, things like that, and we have lots more innovations on the horizon.
[00:23:33] Unknown:
So That's so exciting. I I know when we were talking yesterday, we were just, you know, discussing how many steps we can remove from our workflow, you know, with a It's all of these different tech tools, and it's nice to, like, have them combined instead of, okay. I've got to go 5 different tech, you know, Stack my tech stack's huge, and it just wastes time, and so the machines can start doing a lot more for us. How do you this is something we didn't talk about yesterday, but, You know, with the ability now to start, you know, minimizing our time that we have to Spend on the editing and on the processing and all of the other stuff, you know, had taken many, many, many hours.
How do you see this impacting the creator economy? You know? Because if we're gonna be obviously having a lot of the machines do a lot of the work that our editors were doing, or How do you how do you see a transition for people going forward, you know, to not feel like I'm just getting pushed out by the machines, but it's like, yay. I'm gonna keep using them to do be more productive. What how do you how do you see that transition happening?
[00:24:46] Unknown:
So things are going way faster than I ever thought. So today, I was on chat GPT, And it told me it was 1 year old. So it it's it's been just 1 year since ChatGPT launched, which is insane. So this will go very quickly. And and, you know, I I'm fascinated by artificial intelligence And what it's has been doing already. You know, if you see the applications now, of course, you're at ChatGPT, which seems like a simple thing, But it is definitely not trivial. But you also have things that generate complete content for you. So they can generate Audio for you. They can generate video on the fly. They can generate an avatar from your from you, from just a a picture even or a couple of seconds of of video and audio.
And then you can just create this whole episode, for instance. Kinda looks a little bit clunky. You can still detect that it's not real, but give it a couple of months, and then you can't. So I think there's 2 things that will definitely happen. The rest is just, who knows? Because in a year from now, everything will be dramatically different than than now, and nobody knows what that means. But 2 things that I think will definitely happen is that currently, there are lots of people I discovered that Help you with your content. So you have podcast managers. These are people who create titles and descriptions for you and publish your episodes. I did not notice this was a thing. This will go away, obviously.
For instance, this is something that BotHome AI already does At least for 90% of your stuff, maybe you have to type a little bit more yourself. But this this is not a thing anymore. And if your platform is really easy and user friendly like pot at home, for instance, it's super simple to just upload something. So so that's one thing. It will just get easier to create your content and the metadata around it, which is like titles, descriptions, transcripts. And the second thing is that you can just start to use AI to create content. So You don't really have to do this anymore.
Now I don't think that's gonna be very useful, at least not in the beginning, because I think Creating things is essential for human beings. So when you create something, art, music, You teach somebody something through a podcast episode or you have a lovely conversation. That is something That comes from a higher place to me. Yeah. So you're kinda channeling, let's say, the universe, Yeah. Through you to instantiate whatever that is, music or art or whatever that is. And I don't think machines can do that yet. Perhaps they might also become a vessel like that. I don't know.
But I don't think that works yet. So whatever you create with AI will definitely not create the same connections for humans than whatever you can come up with yourself. So I think, for now, we can use the AI to assist us, to help us with by creating things, like create music, for instance, or fill in the gaps. Right? The Descript, for instance, if if you have that, that's a A lovely tool to transcribe your podcast, and that can also, generate your own voice. It can synthesize your voice. So, if I misspell a word or if I if you if I oh, I forgot to say that sentence. You can just type that sentence, and it it just adds that. So it can be a helper. I don't think it will replace us yet.
I do think if we look in Couple years maybe. And Elon Musk's Atlas robot, which he's building from Tesla, if that thing gets really good, And we all have 1 in our house. Goodness me. Then, you know, things will change completely.
[00:28:53] Unknown:
I don't know. I know you think it's will be different. And, you know, you're you're projecting a year from now. It's like, it's gonna be 5 years from now or 10 years from now. Right? Like, My brain just the exponential rate of change is huge, and it's hard to get our little Human brains around this because it's it is. Just what's gonna happen in the next month with the recent releases from chat gpt is huge. And so it's just buckle up, buttercup. Right? But I think, you know, for anybody who's listening, you know, whether you're a video creator or author or anything, podcaster, You know, you got to get on the AI train. You have to understand that, like, your workflow is gonna get enhanced. And If you're not, you know, getting comfortable and adapting with these technologies, you're gonna be left behind in the dust. You know, it's gonna be very difficult for you to be competitive and have any type of Yeah. An an advantage, you know, over not that you're like, I have to constantly be in this Competition, but it's it's, you know, it's like using a chalkboard.
We don't use that anymore to communicate. Right? We're using these digital tools that are, you know, Very, very fast. So, you know, I think it's gonna be fun. I definitely plan on having a lot of episodes talking about Different types of a AI tools and different creator tools and ways for people to, you know, share best practices with each other. Like, how are you using and how can we do it together and make, you know, make better, more fine tuned laser beam content that supports our audiences, you know, in a in a great way. I wanna touch on something really quick that you had mentioned about, you know, creativity as just something that you know, As humans, I believe, like, we're we're designed to be creative, you know, in one way or another, whether you're creating a company, whether you're creating a baby, whether you're Creating a souffle, whether you're creating a song, it doesn't matter. You're we're creators at heart, you know, every one of us. And And I think when we allow that that that lava to ooze out of the volcano within, right, Like, we're healthier versions of ourselves.
But when we are stifled and we don't give ourselves permission to create, we don't give ourselves permission to make, You know, mistakes and look silly and, you know, just get it out there. You know, we're we're doing our soul a disservice. And so I'm really grateful to hear you speak like this, you know, because I think more people who are creators, you know, need to have that conversation because it it's Everyone is a creator of something somewhere on planet Earth. You know? So I I just love that.
[00:31:46] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. I totally agree with that. So let's get a little bit woo woo here. So I I believe That we are souls that are having a a human experience. And by soul, I mean, a piece of energy of the universe that is all. And you can call that god. You can call that Allah. You can call that source, whatever Mhmm. Form you might imagine that that might be. And so we instantiate as, a Barry and Valerie. But I don't think that That per se is real, but it's as real as it can be. And so we create this for ourselves. I create myself and all of my surroundings including this whole call. So in that sense, we are all the creator and a creator.
And so if I look at Bod home, for instance, it came on my path now a small year ago or so Where I was thinking about this, creating something like this, or maybe doing something completely different, like become a health coach or something because I want to Help people become more healthy. And then when I started listening to myself and become quiet, then this Idea basically was beamed down to me as in, alright, this thing is already out there, and you just need to instantiate it. You create it through you. So it's not my idea per se.
It was already there. I just Listened to it and made it into a thing in this world. And I think we can all do that if we just listen. And that's not an easy skill to to to get because you need to get quiet and comfortable with Silence and sitting with yourself for a bit because we love to distract ourselves, right, with phones and Netflix, foods, walking even, whatever. Yeah. Just to, you know, not be connected with that all, that source, because it can be very daunting. And I I I can totally imagine that many people do not even believe in that, and that's totally fine too.
But I think everybody knows that you have some sort of intuition or gut feeling, you know, call it an inner voice in your head, whatever. If you listen closely enough, then it is telling you stuff. You just need to give yourself permission to believe it, And then you can create whatever you want.
[00:34:21] Unknown:
I love oh my god. I feel like you're you're you're in my head speaking how I speak. It's so great. It's It's really nice to hear that from you. And and I think I always talk about with students and people that I work with and, obviously, on the show, it's like, I I think of all of the information that's out there from spirit, from universe, from infinity beyond, whatever you wanna call all that, It's constantly happening 247. Right? And so when you can sit quietly and it's like in the old radio stations that, you know, you would Tune the dial, and if you go really fast, all you hear is static going back and forth, back and forth. But it's when you go real slow And real slow and you fine tune it, then you can listen to the music, and then you're gonna hear some signal. Right? And so That practice that takes discipline to sit and tune in to the signal.
And because our minds, As we, you know, have been discussing, are so polluted on purpose with all of the the mainstream media And all of the propaganda and all of the other things that, you know, put our minds on strings, it takes time to understand, like, Is that the truth? Is that my old trauma talking? Is that, you know, society? Is that old program? So we have to start to learn to understand How does it land in my body when I hear this message versus this other message? You know? And it's a lifelong practice. It's not like, I did a workshop, and I'm all good. And now I can tune in to the infinite spirit. It's like going to the gym, and you have to do it regularly in order to get those types of results. And so I love hearing that your that Pod home came from A a transmission like this, a download for you.
[00:36:08] Unknown:
Yeah. But I do think it's actually much easier than that. We you don't have to become a monk or something or do years of meditation practice. I think the only thing you need to do is Give yourself permission to believe what is being said. So I I challenge you if you're listening to this. If you have a question or you're not certain about the next thing that you need to do, Just in your in your mind, ask that question. You know? What do I need to do next? And whatever split second comes up For you as a as a thing, that's the answer. And you might think, oh, I came up with that myself. Oh, I did this. No. Just take that as as a truth. Just Give yourself permission to give the to take that as the truth and try that out for just a couple of decisions. See where that takes you.
[00:36:56] Unknown:
It's your gut feeling. Right? It's such good advice. And and I know I I've struck I practice this, and I still struggle sometimes because I get the you know, I'll get the FUD voices. I'll get the negative fear voices, and it's literally like and I you know, I I Have a whole course about designing your love code, and they're doing this 11 x method, and it's about, you know, who's got the microphone in your head. Right? And so are you allowing that microphone or you know, on the mixing board, is it turned up to spirit, God, universe, love, truth, Or are you listening to those old voices? And so because they all wanted to yell at you at the same time sometimes. You know? And so In my mind, I have I guess I have a I have a a multichannel mixing board going on all the time.
And so I'm always like, You're the DJ, Val. Be the DJ and put the best song on and listen to the the the truth and that comes from a place of love. You know? And so I think it's an interesting thing. And so, yeah, do do this experiment. I wanna get back to Barry and I if you guys do what he said, and let's see how the The next few decision points come through for y'all for y'all. I know my son and I, you know, he's been getting into Christianity lately, and It's not something that, you know, I'm I'm not against. I'm not a Christian. I'm not for or against it. I'm happy that he's on his own path to find God in his own way. But He has been talking a lot about, you know, the voice of Satan that lives within his mind and is telling, you know, telling him to masturbate and he said, you know, god. I'm sorry.
Don't forgive me. I'm doing this out loud. I love you. Don't watch this episode. Just realize him. But but that's what you know, circling back to the thing you said with the Kellogg guys. You know? Like, they think that there's these evil voices that it's like, these are natural things for us. Our sexuality is like a gift from God. It's not something bad. It's just like food. Anything in excess, It can be not great for us, but so I think it's like how to discern the truth, Those true voices that come in from a place of love and care versus a place of judgment or shame or condemnation, you know, it it's Listen listen to love. That's not what I always say. So
[00:39:21] Unknown:
Yeah. I think I think it's probably all true. So everything that you hear in your voice is true because you make it So as in you make those voices appear as you create your own reality. I don't think there's per se a good or bad. So if you hear a Satan thing, that's not a a negative thing. You perceive it as a negative thing. Mhmm. You know, things just happen. Things are neutral. Everything that happens is neutral. It's true. You decide if it's good or bad, and that's you do that by giving yourself a permission slip to either believe the good or the bad. But in for instance, if you take that example of somebody That, you know, goes to Christian route. I think that is great because that enables you to think about things that are bigger than yourself here on earth, connect to all of the other things. That's, that's always a good thing.
And then, you know, there could be a fear based Parts to that, like hell and Satan and all that type stuff. Yeah. That's totally fine. And that can be a great learning, right, for yourself. But still, if you then ask yourself those questions in your head, you can get a negative answer as well. And that's also totally fine, as long as you
[00:40:32] Unknown:
allow yourself to believe whatever that is, then you're on the right path. It it I love that you said this. It's funny because I use the word, I say permission slips for your soul a lot, and it's it is so true about, like, things have meaning because we say so, Period. Nothing means anything unless we say we agree to that this is
[00:40:55] Unknown:
a catastrophe This is a blessing or this is a good thing because that's why we have experience, and that's why we're here, right, to have an experience.
[00:41:02] Unknown:
Yeah. And and we have agency, Which I think is the coolest thing. Right? It's not like we're just these little feathers getting blown around in the wind. Like, we truly have agency. And The more that we can take ownership of that and be excited, that's very powerful. And I think, you know, the the ethos of Bitcoiners, right, is, you know, radical self responsibility just like burners, like Burning Man. I'm a total burner. And so it's about Owning your experience and not, you know you know, handing it off to someone else to do the thinking for you or to do the work for you. It's the proof of work ethos. It's, you know, knowing that it takes time to get things done that are worthy, and so I think it's such an interesting Cross section of all of these things, you know, in in our operating systems. You know? And
[00:41:54] Unknown:
I just love it. I love that that you're into all this. That all comes I think that all comes down to the same thing. Right? So like what you said, responsibility. And that is not a thing. Oh, now I have do stuff. Now you're able to respond to something, responsibility. So all of these things, so Bitcoin, health, Spirituality, whatever. It it attracts people that want to be able to respond as much as they can. I have as much of responsibility as I can. So that I think that's what what the intersect is and why that attracts all the same type of people.
[00:42:28] Unknown:
It really is. I think it's it's it's powerful. Like, we are this, like, little snowball that keeps rolling and attracting our All, you know, more like hearted, like mind, like, sold people, and it's it's just fascinating. I'm I'm still you know, I'm only a few years into this journey Being a Bitcoiner and but I've been in personal development for decades. You know? And I do notice Certain people, when you're trying to help them understand, you know, you get to be your own bank if you choose to, and you can, you know, not have a middleman if you don't want to. And they're just like, well, where's what hap do I call customer service if I lose something? I how do I don't wanna be you know? Some people are Not yet. Perhaps not ever will be, but they're not yet designed or adapted to that that self responsibility Vantage point. You know? And so certain people are just like, I don't wanna hold my own keys. And I'm like, but you're missing the point. The whole point is You are the bank. You know? You get to be self sovereign, and, you know, you don't have to ask permission to transfer value or To hold your own value. And and so I think it's certainly, you know, it's a different, you know, experience that we're gonna be having here as As Bitcoiners, I think this might be the my delivery.
Okay. So but, anyway, so let's Let's put a thumbtack in this because maybe we can do another episode and talk about personal development, spiritual development separately If you would be interested in coming back, or maybe I'll come on your show or something, that would be awesome. How does that sound?
[00:44:10] Unknown:
Yeah. That sounds great. I think this is Really good topic to explore. You know, I love always thinking about consciousness, why we're here, the bigger questions, all that type stuff. I think about spirit spirituality. And that somehow aligns with what I'm doing and with podcasting and Paltrow FM.
[00:44:30] Unknown:
Well, you think about it. Like, if if if Martin doctor Martin Luther King or Gandhi had the ability to podcast and get messages out there, Like, they would be rocking and rolling every day, all day being messengers, and that's kind of where I feel like for us as creators, we're We're funnels. We're straws getting messages, and we're sharing them, like, if we if we approach it from that vantage that lens. You know? And so The I you know, it's a very humble place, and I do I'm with you too. I'm like, these aren't my ideas. I'm just funneling channeling them.
You know? So I think it's really cool. Thank you again for coming back and taking another hour. Now we got I got to know more about you too and so did the audience. So this is great.
