It's Wednesday night. We are watching the Knicks Hawks NBA Cup game. Of what round? I have no idea. Why does it feel like the Hawks are always in an NBA Cup game?
[00:00:24] Unknown:
Quarter finals.
[00:00:25] Unknown:
Doesn't it? I feel like if there's an NBA Cup game, the hawks are playing. Why is this I'm making this up. Did they go far last season?
[00:00:35] Unknown:
I don't know, but it does feel like they're always in it. And right now, start of the 4th quarter, up 11.
[00:00:43] Unknown:
I would feel sad if I were a Hawks fan because, I mean, they only do good like, sometimes, they're really good. Like, randomly, they shoot their shots, They play free. Then most of the time, they lose, though.
[00:01:01] Unknown:
Is it? They're middle of the routine. Well, most of the time more of the time, they win. They're 13 and 12.
[00:01:07] Unknown:
Okay. Tomato tomato.
[00:01:12] Unknown:
Well, you asked.
[00:01:14] Unknown:
Well, anyway, I just as soon as I saw this this game on my screen, I was like, why are they always playing NBA cup game? Now what is this? Fill me in.
[00:01:27] Unknown:
This is the quarter finals. The Rockets and the Warriors play after this. Oh, good game. Good game. And the Bucks and
[00:01:39] Unknown:
well, it's played last night. The Bucks are trying to win this thing. Trying to show out. They're trying to show the world that they are the team to beat. I don't buy it. And you know who else doesn't? Brian Scalabrine.
[00:01:56] Unknown:
The Thunder also won. So the winner of Warriors Rockets will play the Thunder on Saturday, and the winner of this game will play the Bucks also on Saturday.
[00:02:08] Unknown:
I am gonna call it. I'm gonna call the winner of the whole thing.
[00:02:12] Unknown:
Who you got?
[00:02:14] Unknown:
I got Oklahoma.
[00:02:17] Unknown:
Ew.
[00:02:18] Unknown:
That's who I got. Yuck. You heard you heard it here first.
[00:02:23] Unknown:
Who do you got winning the whole thing? Well, so I'll go Eastern Conference then since you want Western Conference. I'm gonna say the Bucks won it.
[00:02:30] Unknown:
I think that's a great choice. I think that they might win this NBA Cup, and that's about it.
[00:02:39] Unknown:
They don't win a single other game after that.
[00:02:43] Unknown:
But you know what I mean. They're not winning the real cup.
[00:02:48] Unknown:
They're tough, Sean. They're tough. They're tough. But
[00:02:52] Unknown:
they're they ain't like us. They ain't like or this is how it goes, is it? They not like us. Chill out. I know. I feel like I'm really am tough right now. I gotta take a breather. I've just been so busy today that I just I feel like I'm still spinning.
[00:03:12] Unknown:
Yeah. Busy with town. Tell me what happened later on in the day after he didn't nap.
[00:03:17] Unknown:
I mean, all was well until it wasn't. He I I it was like the Tasmanian devil. I would turn around, and he would just be throwing something on the floor. Mom, I took the blanket off your bed. Like, you know, that kind of thing. Just being a little weasel. And then he kept dumping out his basket of stuffed animals in his room, and he kept going and going to do it. And it takes a long time to clean those up. There's a lot of stuff there. There's about 40. No lie. Yeah. There are. And not from me. So
[00:03:59] Unknown:
I don't know. Not from me either. I don't know what that meant.
[00:04:04] Unknown:
I just I don't even know. But, yeah, I don't know what to say about it. It was just a crazy time. Pulled my hair twice, and he said, I pulled your hair. Like, he lets you know. You don't need to let me know. I know. Trust me. I know what you're his moves. Because he knows he's not he knows that it's not good, but he just can't help it. He'll say, I got I got too excited. That's why I did that. Anyway, we can move on. I'm fine. He's just a little boy.
[00:04:36] Unknown:
Yeah. Just be a little t. Yeah. Otherwise, it's great. I made
[00:04:40] Unknown:
construction paper garland. He was very excited about that. Yeah. That was cute. He barely helped me, but that's not the point. He cut his own paper, and I was proud of him. He did great. He said, I'm not gonna touch this part, like, this silver part, the blades. It would hurt. You did a good job. What else do we do? I mean, we had a good day. He was just absolutely nuts. You know? Around 4 o'clock.
[00:05:08] Unknown:
Yeah. When he does a nap, he has a tough late afternoon, evening. Mhmm. Or we have a tough late afternoon, evening. Mhmm. Mhmm.
[00:05:19] Unknown:
Anyway, what do you think about this court, the Knicks court? You liked this court, didn't you? Is this the only thing you like about the Knicks?
[00:05:27] Unknown:
Well, of the NBA court, courts, NBA Cup courts, jeez, This is one of the better ones because it's not so hard on the eyes. It's a little bit softer. For sure. The orange. Mhmm. I wouldn't say I love the court, but of the courts we gotta deal with, it's one of the better ones for sure. Mhmm.
[00:05:46] Unknown:
And what's your second favorite thing about the Knicks?
[00:05:50] Unknown:
That we're gonna beat them.
[00:05:52] Unknown:
What's your 3rd favorite thing? There isn't one. I hate the Knicks. No. But didn't you say you like Josh Hart?
[00:05:59] Unknown:
Of the players on the Knicks, I like Josh Hart. I don't like him. Like, I'm not like, oh, wow. He's one of my favorite players, but
[00:06:08] Unknown:
he's I like side. Number 8.
[00:06:12] Unknown:
Who's number 8? Oh, and Inoue?
[00:06:15] Unknown:
Yep. K. He's pretty good. What
[00:06:18] Unknown:
what is his full name?
[00:06:20] Unknown:
OG.
[00:06:21] Unknown:
Okay. Because I only said o I almost said o b, which is why I said I like that player number 8 because I couldn't remember if it was OB or OG. No. It might be OB. Really? Oh my gosh. So let's find out. Turn up the Google machine.
[00:06:38] Unknown:
I'm on it. Okay.
[00:06:40] Unknown:
Oh, no. It's o g. Okay. Okay. Okay. It's like your first instinct is correct, Sean. Mine, not.
[00:06:48] Unknown:
No. My first instinct is almost never correct because I just generally don't know anything. I have to look everything up. That's why I got the computer. Remember when I said
[00:06:56] Unknown:
we were talking about Baylor? What's his last name? Shireman. Shireman. And I was like, Baylor? Shireman. And you were like, his name's not Baylor. He went to Baylor. I was like, no. I think his name is Baylor. Oh my gosh. I thought his name was Baylor. And then you turn at the Google machine, and it is Baylor.
[00:07:15] Unknown:
Yeah. I've already had to take this l on the podcast. We talked about this on the first episode. You brought up on the first episode. Maybe I should maybe I should listen back.
[00:07:25] Unknown:
Can you cut that out? I don't wanna be a 2 timer. Yeah. We'll clean it up. I'll clean it up in post. I don't wanna be a 2 timer.
[00:07:36] Unknown:
So, yeah, no Celtics game. We're not doing it during the Celtics game this week. They're gonna play tomorrow, but we got some other stuff we gotta get done. So doing it early. Mhmm. Do you have any recent Celtics takes? The last game they played we're at, they took an l. Mhmm. We did see Marcus Smart, and that was nice. That was really, really
[00:07:56] Unknown:
cool. He had a very warm welcome when he got on the court. You could really feel it. I got emotional. I got teary eyed. And I was, like, so in awe because his wife was there, and they were all just taking photos and talking like family to Tatum's mom and Deuce. And Deuce is playing on the court with Jaylen Brown's brother, and they were all together, and they're all just fam. It's really real. It's really cute. And there's a lot of connections going on. I was doing a deep dive on the gram last night. Like, you want me to should I say this? What'd you find?
Well, Jaylen Brown's brother dates this girl who's really pretty. She's got really gorgeous eyes, and they appear to have been to be together for quite a while. And I know there was an interview that Tim said that Jalen's brother watches Deuce, mamma. This girl doesn't have that many pictures, you know, so I looked at almost all of them. And she took pictures with, like, Marcus Smart and like, at some function, and he's they've got she's got a picture with Deuce and Deuce's mom, and everybody is buddies, and it warms my heart. And Joel was at Deuce's birthday party.
It's just one big happily happy family, and we lost a family member. He moved away to Memphis.
[00:09:30] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, Jaylen Brown said, about playing him. It's weird, but it was great. Marcus is basically a family member at this point. All that stuff was good, but it was definitely good to see him. Mhmm.
[00:09:42] Unknown:
Yeah. It was nice. You could tell everyone was feeling really they were feeling the feels. But, yeah, we got spanked. We didn't really, but, like, we kinda just trail the whole time, and I really thought at the end there, towards the end there, we were gonna turn it out because, like, I was like, of course, we are. Of course, we're gonna win. We're at home. We're the Celtics. We're gonna win right now. And then we didn't.
[00:10:05] Unknown:
Yeah. They made a couple runs at the end. I think they were even up. Like Yeah. They were. Decent amount. Maybe 5. Yeah. 5, something like that, but then Memphis quickly came back. Mhmm. It really took control. And, like, yeah, it didn't ever feel like the Celtics were in control of the game even when they were up. It felt like Memphis was really dictating things. Yeah. It
[00:10:24] Unknown:
did. And Jaw is just, like, otherworldly. He's, like you know, I've seen these videos of him recently and the one where he got ejected. I mean, he's just, like, bounding around, like He's a Tasmanian devil. Yeah. Like, the energy on him is next level. I can't even imagine. That's like me after 2 and a half, like, strong coffees, but, like, actually times that by 1,000. It's not true. Yeah. And he had just said Are you either laughing at me or with me? Both.
[00:11:00] Unknown:
And he had just said too that he, he wasn't dunking anymore, and then he had that ridiculous reverse dunk on baseline. I literally you were like you were yawning. I was like, no. I wasn't yawning. My jaw was on the floor.
[00:11:14] Unknown:
You literally thought I wasn't yawning. I my jaw was on the floor. I was, like, laser focused during that game. You were locked in. Especially really was. Right from the beginning when they came out to Jaylen Brown's song, which was wild. I took about a 100 videos of because the guys came out to Jaylen Brown's song. How How's it go? Oh, I know. Maybe hating on the low. Hold on. I'll get it. Flip the game and turn it upside down. Ball ain't the only thing I know. And I was just dead
[00:11:47] Unknown:
loving it that they came out to that song, and I was jamming out. Do we even need to listen to it after that? No. We do. No. We do. Listened to a little bit. No. We do. I don't even know if any of this is legal, though. Oh, yeah. Sorry about that.
[00:12:01] Unknown:
This is not it. I'm it was an ad. Press 1.
[00:12:08] Unknown:
I know you can probably skip ahead of you. That's what I'm doing. I'm doing this on the fly. I didn't have this ready to go. I didn't know we're gonna do this.
[00:12:16] Unknown:
I hope we don't get in trouble for this.
[00:12:20] Unknown:
I don't think we're big enough at all to get in any trouble.
[00:12:28] Unknown:
What? What's the music video? Oh, yeah. We need to skip ahead. See? It's got a good beat.
[00:12:43] Unknown:
It
[00:12:50] Unknown:
doesn't really make me broke up with his girlfriend.
[00:12:56] Unknown:
If they saw what he says, I went for sure they did.
[00:13:00] Unknown:
Oh, man. I thought it was about to start. I was about to Damn out. Yeah. But then I don't know. I'm confused.
[00:13:11] Unknown:
Yeah. I don't know. I mean, it's like
[00:13:15] Unknown:
I mean, I who am I to judge? I'm I'm never gonna judge. I mean, good for him for wanting to do that. All I I mean, it's not like it's the hottest jam that's out in 2024. Listen. It's a jam. It's a solid rap. I mean, it's solid. Yeah. Except for And I just love that it's him. I mean, if any of the seeds came out with a song, I would I would love the song.
[00:13:44] Unknown:
Well, Jaylen, you ever heard the Tatum and Jimmy Fallon rap battle? Yes. That was rough. Tatum has Yes. It was rough. Tatum does not have quite the rhythm No. He doesn't. With the raps as as Jaylen does. He doesn't, but
[00:14:01] Unknown:
it's all good. I still loved it. Tell him I bought a chocolate croissant ornament today. Tell him the tree. Didn't see it. Very necessary. No. Bottom left.
[00:14:13] Unknown:
Oh, nice. Yeah. This morning, we came downstairs, and he, started pulling the donut one off and said eat it.
[00:14:21] Unknown:
Eat the plastic donut, dad. Yeah. I had something else in my mind that I did wanna talk about, but it's escaped me. But I did yeah. It was a good game. We had a nice time for sure. But what were we playing tomorrow again?
[00:14:38] Unknown:
You just told me, I think. No. I don't think I looked it up. Oh, they're playing, Detroit again. Oh, yeah. You didn't tell me that.
[00:14:46] Unknown:
Well,
[00:14:47] Unknown:
hopefully, they win. Oh, I asked you and you didn't know. Oh. Now they're gonna win. At home against Detroit, did we didn't lose to Detroit recently. Right? But it was close.
[00:15:02] Unknown:
Yeah. But we didn't lose. They've had 4 days off. Right?
[00:15:12] Unknown:
Yeah. Because there were no games besides the cup games last 2 days. Mhmm. And then they also had Monday off. Not before them. Not before their time off. Yeah. They needed some time off. Oh, speaking of which, with the time off, Jaylen went to check out the Harry Potter stuff. Yeah. And did you see what he said afterwards? And you're gonna have of his life? No. That well, maybe, but you're gonna have to help me with this. Oh. He said he's house Slytherin. Yeah. He is. Team Slytherin. Yeah. I have no idea what that means. Slytherin is the bad house. That's Draco Malfoy,
[00:15:53] Unknown:
platinum blonde.
[00:15:54] Unknown:
Okay. Okay. Because it's like you're speaking another language to me right now. Well, not not to our listeners.
[00:16:01] Unknown:
Our listeners know, I think.
[00:16:03] Unknown:
Our listeners there are so many listeners. Shout out, Vinh. Yeah. I
[00:16:09] Unknown:
know. Shout out to Vinny. Yeah. Slytherin is like the evil house, but it's really just super powerful. They just all end up being bad, Yeah. They don't like transplants.
[00:16:42] Unknown:
And he also said he'd be, all American in Quidditch,
[00:16:47] Unknown:
which, I mean, I'm sure. I didn't know any of this. Where did you see this?
[00:16:51] Unknown:
It's on NBA on ESPN. I have 9 He's got a little season you know things. It's not the best audio, but I got a little clip here. By the way
[00:16:59] Unknown:
Really? Yeah. You don't see it? Oh, still there. See you somewhere. I'm glad to see I'm glad to see you at the Courtitudes too. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely, I would have been a a Quidditch All American for sure. Would would have helped me lead our team for a championship.
[00:17:16] Unknown:
I would not make the Quidditch team. I would not even be allowed to be in the arena because I would fall off the, like, mile high stands. We should I wanna watch it. First one. We can do that. Christmas movie.
[00:17:37] Unknown:
Why is it a Christmas movie?
[00:17:39] Unknown:
The first one's like a I don't know. It's like cozy. It's kinda like wintry Christmassy. I don't know. It's like to me, it feels like a Christmas movie. Speaking of Christmas movies, I have 3 Christmas movies besides Harry Potter that I have to watch, and I say it every year. And now look at this. 2 weeks until Christmas. I've watched no movies. I won't be watching any movies for the next at least 5 days. Does does office play on Sunday night afternoon?
[00:18:13] Unknown:
I don't know. What are your what are your 3 Christmas movies you need to watch, though? Santa Claus.
[00:18:19] Unknown:
It's one of my favorite movie Christmas movie from my entire life.
[00:18:24] Unknown:
So that's First Up?
[00:18:26] Unknown:
Mhmm. The Holiday. Love it. Love it so much. It is an incredible movie. 3rd, Love Actually. I don't like Elf. Elf. Like
[00:18:47] Unknown:
Chill.
[00:18:50] Unknown:
I'm not a fan.
[00:18:51] Unknown:
Celtics play the Wizards on Sunday, 6 o'clock. Oh,
[00:18:55] Unknown:
yeah. Good. I may skip the game and watch, Christmas movie.
[00:19:02] Unknown:
Wow. That's rough. No. I'm just kidding. I'll definitely tune in. I feel like with the 6 o'clock game, you can do both. Yeah. I can do both. You watch the game, maybe it's a blowout. You tune on a little bit early. Mhmm. I'll watch the Santa Claus with you. The other 2, watch on your own time.
[00:19:18] Unknown:
You don't like Love Actually? Have you ever seen it?
[00:19:20] Unknown:
I have no idea. Sounds very familiar. But
[00:19:26] Unknown:
Yeah. That came to me a little bit later in life.
[00:19:30] Unknown:
Oh, love it, actually. Ugh. No. That's gonna be a skip for me. That's gonna be a hard pass. I'll watch it alone. Because the only reason I now I know what it is. I don't know if I've ever seen it, but I've seen that stupid scene where the dude just shows up at the door Mhmm. And he's got The signs. He's just got the signs. Yeah. The dumbest thing of all time. I mean, it's shocking.
[00:19:50] Unknown:
It's shocking. His best friend's wife. Shocking.
[00:19:55] Unknown:
Yeah. Disgusting. Not not cool, honestly. Would never be one of my favorite movies. Well, I get it, but I love it.
[00:20:04] Unknown:
The hawks are about to win this game, I think.
[00:20:07] Unknown:
Yeah. They are. They're crushing them. At one point, I don't know when they finally hit a 3, but, the Knicks had missed 13 threes in a row. You're just not gonna win in the NBA missing 13 threes in a row.
[00:20:20] Unknown:
Yeah. Well, that's kinda like the other night with us at the game we went to. Like, generally, we miss a 1,000,000,000,000,000 threes. So should I even make 1 in the Q1 or something like that? The first half?
[00:20:34] Unknown:
There was a game we watched recently where Oh, that was not it? No. Who'd they play before?
[00:20:40] Unknown:
I don't know. It's like the it's like a black hole to me thinking who they've played and who's when we won, I really it's like I really try. Like, even games we've been to, like, the only one that I really remember is the loss against Denver. It was like a beating.
[00:21:07] Unknown:
Where Yokutras just went crazy? Yeah. Just
[00:21:10] Unknown:
go into what it I'm gonna try to I'm gonna try to explain what he did in a person who doesn't know basketball language. He just would float into the post, do a little spin move, and lay it up right in Kristaps' face.
[00:21:25] Unknown:
Very technical basketball lingo there. Thank you for explaining that. Do Do you think that
[00:21:31] Unknown:
that made sense? Yeah. That's what he did. He just kinda did his thing. He went down. Someone would just he was there. Someone would pass it to him. He would catch it, do a little thing, get it in the get it in the basket. And he did it over and over and over again. I would love to see us play the Knicks in person, though. That'd be pretty sweet. We talked about going to Madison Square Garden, but we can't afford it. Maybe after this podcast, we will be able to afford it.
[00:22:03] Unknown:
Just kidding. Speaking of can't afford it, do you see the Jaylen stuff came out? I did.
[00:22:09] Unknown:
I did. I'm kinda like, oh, I don't know. I feel I need to keep my comments to myself.
[00:22:17] Unknown:
I mean, I'll say because I'd seen some of the stuff that he put out. Like, there's just some pictures on the Internet. I like this stuff, but I'm I'm a Marshall's fan. I'm a I'm a Oh, yeah. It's not for us. Yeah. So I'm kind of, like, in the middle somewhere because
[00:22:34] Unknown:
I I'm not talking about me. Like, I'm not. That's not my style. I think it's cool for other people who's who could pull it off, and that is their style. Cool. You're cool. For sure. But, like, I guess I'm just somewhere in the middle confused. I know you can't have, like that's not, like, obviously, you know, Chanel and Louis Vuitton level luxury. But like you said, we're we're Marshalls and TJ Maxx peeps. You know? $300 for, like, a a jacket? Maybe that's reasonable. I think it maybe probably is. Just, you know, not to me.
[00:23:15] Unknown:
Well, I mean, too, I mean, $300 for a big jacket that you can wear all the time, fine. But You're right. That's actually pretty reasonable. The $75 muscle shirt is what got me. You know what? You're right. That's where I was like, The jacket, I'm okay with. The muscle shirt, I'm not okay with. Yeah. I mean and, too, don't get me wrong. $300 for a jacket is expensive. But But it, like, makes sense. And, like, you and I both have North Face's.
[00:23:40] Unknown:
Like, we don't you know, for our jacket, we like to we're gonna have one that lasts a while. Right? But, yeah, I don't know.
[00:23:50] Unknown:
I do think I could I mean, I could see you rocking some of this stuff, but just not at Thank you. The cost.
[00:23:57] Unknown:
Thank you so much. Is just I mean, like, I could pull off a lot of things. Like, let's be honest.
[00:24:04] Unknown:
I'm sure you said it wasn't really your style, but I think it kinda is your style. It's pretty simple. And you're so You know, it's it's inventory. It's black. So, therefore,
[00:24:13] Unknown:
right away But don't you think I've really come out of my shell in the last couple years?
[00:24:19] Unknown:
I used to only wear black. Yeah. But this stuff just is up your alley. It's just Yeah. It's cool. Simple.
[00:24:26] Unknown:
It's got a little flair. Cool for me, though. You know? Just cool too cool for me in my everyday life. I have almost 3 year old, and I'm a physical therapist. Okay? How lame is that?
[00:24:39] Unknown:
That doesn't mean you can't be cool on your own time. Lame. I mean, you're not gonna be that. Shout out Nick saying I'm a physical therapist. If you need anything,
[00:24:47] Unknown:
let me know.
[00:24:49] Unknown:
I mean, you're not gonna be wearing any of this to one of your patients' houses. But
[00:24:54] Unknown:
No. I feel like, so far, I like how we I'm gonna break the 4th wall, but I feel like, this this podcast is full of highs and lows for me. Some things coming out of my mouth feel good. Some I'm like, oh, why did I say that?
[00:25:19] Unknown:
Try to grab it on the way out? Yeah.
[00:25:22] Unknown:
But I know you do minimal editing, if any at all, so it is what it is. Yeah. No editing. I just keep staring at this Christmas tree thinking I'll have to rearrange all the ornaments. It looks awful. What's happening?
[00:25:38] Unknown:
The editing I did for the first one is I listened to it after I put it out just to make sure there was nothing in there that shouldn't have been in there.
[00:25:46] Unknown:
That's terrifying.
[00:25:49] Unknown:
And you did drop a a hard swear on there too. What did I say? This is bullshit.
[00:25:57] Unknown:
Really?
[00:25:58] Unknown:
Regarding what? About the ant commercial. What is the why? Remember the ant spray commercial where they're doing the lie detector test? Oh, yeah. And the dude, they blur blur, bleep out Celtics,
[00:26:12] Unknown:
but Oh, yeah. You were bothered. I was bothered. It was BS.
[00:26:18] Unknown:
I think I think I swore on another one, though. Oh, I think you might have dropped an f bomb on 1. I think I did. Yeah. I mean, you've been going hard. It's as I've said, I I swore because that was a quote, but it's a clean show. I know. My thinking right now. You should be able to have this around or on have this on around the kids. Let me get it together.
[00:26:40] Unknown:
Let me get it together.
[00:26:42] Unknown:
I would want you to be your true self, but the people are gonna say another side of you. They may not know.
[00:26:49] Unknown:
I know. I didn't swear until I was, like, 25. Maybe, like, 22.
[00:26:58] Unknown:
Maybe 25. Maybe earlier.
[00:27:01] Unknown:
No. I don't know. I never really did. Well, I was too scared.
[00:27:08] Unknown:
So the Hawks have won.
[00:27:11] Unknown:
The Hawks have won. Here they go on to another NBA Cup game.
[00:27:14] Unknown:
We got Houston and Golden State up next, and some interesting stuff being thrown out, regarding Golden State saying that they wanna target either Jimmy Butler or LeBron. Now Brian Windhorst has said, and he's obviously the LeBron insider, he said that LeBron has already said no or doesn't wanna do it. But if you're LeBron, that's exactly what you do. You throw out there, oh, no. No. No. I don't wanna do that. And then if it happens, you're like, well, I well, I said I didn't want to. Why? Because he wanna looks like he wants to look like he has allegiance to the Lakers or something? But, yeah, he can't just be out there being like, I want out of here. That's that's not good for the brand. That's not good for
[00:27:58] Unknown:
the look. But That would be pretty crazy because he's just, like, such a dictator. I mean, not really, but kinda. I mean, he got a son there. JJ's there. He runs the show and all the entire NBA, basically.
[00:28:15] Unknown:
That'd be kinda crazy. Yeah. Did you see he's away from the team right now for what JJ Reddick has called an excused absence? Oh, I didn't know that.
[00:28:23] Unknown:
What kind of thing is he doing?
[00:28:25] Unknown:
I don't know. It said it I think it's a no. Oh. What is he doing? I think they said it was a family related matter.
[00:28:35] Unknown:
I wonder what.
[00:28:37] Unknown:
I don't know, but I don't think they're gonna throw it out there and tell us.
[00:28:42] Unknown:
And then we might get Ben Simmons.
[00:28:45] Unknown:
Yeah. I'd be down for that. Can handle the ball, can play defense, does not ever wanna shoot, which is great because we got a lot of guys who wanna shoot. Not many shots to go around currently.
[00:28:59] Unknown:
I don't know about it. Well, it don't want anyone he's a little bit too in the in the eye for me. I mean, people are always talking about him, talking bad about him. He was a little tricky for a little while. Didn't he, like, refuse to play for a long time?
[00:29:21] Unknown:
Yeah. For the Brooklyn Nets, I think he comes into the Celtics. He's totally different. He better have a better attitude. Yeah. I think he would. I think it could be like Westbrook has been with, the Nuggets where it's just a good situation. They let him do what he's good at. He is not gonna try to be some top dog, alpha dog because there's already guys there who are far superior to him. Yeah. Joe certainly is not gonna tolerate anything close to what he was doing in Brooklyn. Well no.
[00:29:50] Unknown:
But, yeah, I don't know. He's a little too, like, flashy for me even though he's not really anymore. He just got cut out a little bit of a track record.
[00:30:00] Unknown:
You know? I just feel like we could use another guard. And you said they Kendall Jenner. What does that have to do with anything?
[00:30:09] Unknown:
I don't know. But yeah. So, I mean, that would be cool if you think that would be cool.
[00:30:18] Unknown:
I just don't see how that hurts us. We can't play anyone else besides the guards that we've been playing. He benched Jordan Walsh. Jordan Walsh is asking to go down and play in main games now Yes. During the break. Yeah. You didn't see that? No. Where have I been? I don't know. I mean, I've been I've been out here grinding for the podcast, unsure of what you've been up to. Jordan Walsh and the Celtics had a day off, and instead of using that time to rest. We can go there. He asked to play in the g league. He said, quote, I asked if I could come down and play in the game during practice.
I asked some of my player development coaches. Brad called me and said, you wanna go down? I was like, can I play in a game real quick? And he was like, yeah. Love this man. And that's just whatever the person is reporting on it. But he went down. He had 20 points, 5 rebounds off the bench. And at the game we're at, he debuted the new Jaylen shoes, which is pretty cool. Didn't see anything about that, but interesting that he had them on.
[00:31:22] Unknown:
Jaylen, posted about it briefly. That's all.
[00:31:29] Unknown:
That's the story. What did he post about it?
[00:31:32] Unknown:
Like, an Instagram posting, Jordan Walsh Walsh debuts. Exactly what you just said.
[00:31:41] Unknown:
Great addition to the podcast.
[00:31:44] Unknown:
Thanks for that. You're so welcome.
[00:31:48] Unknown:
Oh, you wanna hear my, my thank God this isn't our coach of the week? Yes. Oh, god. So
[00:31:57] Unknown:
I think this is a good I like to segment.
[00:31:59] Unknown:
Oh, this every week. I think well, as long as I find the clips of these guys just will because everyone else isn't not great. Yeah. So this is Mike Brown. But who's the coach? Who who did he Sacramento.
[00:32:13] Unknown:
Oh, really? Yeah. Sacramento seems wholesome to me. Yeah. Well,
[00:32:18] Unknown:
fine. But this is Mike Brown in a postgame.
[00:32:22] Unknown:
We just call by stacking or playing the
[00:32:29] Unknown:
Yeah. Once again, just thank god this isn't Mike Brown. To be methodical
[00:32:33] Unknown:
by stacking or playing the right way, possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession. What? After Now how many in the world.
[00:32:48] Unknown:
Now how many more after possessions do you think he's got left in him?
[00:32:52] Unknown:
Do you know? Possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession after possession.
[00:33:02] Unknown:
Okay. He's he let me tell you something. Does he do it? He's still got more. I think I counted 25 times that he said after possession because he I guess he wanted to make the point, and then there are a couple giggles from the media afterward. And all I could think about again was, thank god Joe's our coach. Thank god we don't have guys like this coaching the team. So when Vin gave us his
[00:33:24] Unknown:
his his notes today, he said that he did not like our our how we felt about Joe. So in the first pod, we must have had some words, but, nope. Nope. Keep listening.
[00:33:39] Unknown:
Really turned our frown upside down. Yeah. There's no more negativity about Joe. I've already said this. Until we get to the playoffs, I will reserve any negative comments until the playoffs. If I'm upset, I'm gonna keep it to myself because I'm reminded over and over and over and over and over and over again stuff. Okay. That these coaches are brutal.
[00:34:02] Unknown:
Yeah. We also discovered, because we're new to the podcast world, you also discovered the AI captioning. Oh, yeah. We got And I just want you all know we might use it every episode because it's incredible.
[00:34:21] Unknown:
I chopped down the first one, but I'm I think I'm gonna keep the extended version on the long on the the other ones. It is very funny. So funny. They make us sound so good. Yeah. The second one in particular was very good.
[00:34:34] Unknown:
Yeah. They make us sound like, wow. You wanna listen to this podcast and no other podcast. This is where you're gonna really, really learn about the world and the Celtics.
[00:34:44] Unknown:
And the friendly banter, the fun times, the laughter.
[00:34:48] Unknown:
Mhmm. Our Thanksgiving dinner.
[00:34:50] Unknown:
Thanksgiving takes.
[00:34:53] Unknown:
Yeah. Good times.
[00:34:55] Unknown:
Yeah. Shout out to AI.
[00:34:57] Unknown:
So good. Anything else I sent you this week that we need to talk about?
[00:35:04] Unknown:
I don't know. I don't think so. But one thing I did wanna talk about too was during that, Grizzlies game, they decided to leave holiday wide open, and it didn't work work out so well for us. But Jalen and Joe did have some, thoughts on it after the game when we play those.
[00:35:28] Unknown:
Yeah. Probably. Teams will probably try, and I hope so. I we've we got full belief in Drew, you know, tonight. Maybe he didn't shoot the ball as much as he liked, but, you know, we got full belief in in in Drew and any of those guys, and we're gonna incur encourage it. So, yeah, we'll be ready if they do if teams do decide.
[00:35:52] Unknown:
I love it.
[00:35:53] Unknown:
Joe. And, again, this is why, thank god, Joe's our coach and not guys like Mike Brown. The the strategy on Drew, it's a bold strategy. And he's an all star. He shoots over 40% from 3. I think, that's a risky one. And, thought he handled it great. I mean, we empowered him. We want him to shoot any shot that he's open, and I think that's a huge gift because, now we may we're gonna see it again, and it's gonna be great for us. So, I'm really happy that, they did that for us, and, Delta teammates did a great job empowering Drew to shoot. Didn't make them all, but, you know, we move on and, but I'm glad that we saw that, and, it's gonna be good for us.
[00:36:27] Unknown:
Joe will find the positivity in any moment. He loves it. He loves the power of positivity.
[00:36:33] Unknown:
But I I mean, Joe had a great game against the Bucks. He was he was energetic. He was aggressive. He was, like, taking matters into his own hands, which I love to see. I think that I don't know if it's he kind of, you know, cowers a little bit to the other guys in the starting lineup in terms of shooting or whatever. I mean, he's a great asset and playmaker and all those things. But sometimes I just do wish I could see a little bit more out of him like we would see on the Bucks. And he definitely showed it against the Bucks, so I was, like, excited to see that the other night. But it was interesting that that was, like, their strategy after he had just had the game that he had.
[00:37:24] Unknown:
Yeah. He did finish with 23 points, but his shooting was not so great during the game. He missed a lot of shots. Yeah. He took a lot of shots. Yeah. I think he might have taken, like, almost 20 threes or something crazy. That's wild. Yeah. But if you're open, you gotta shoot them. So Yeah. For sure. Yeah. You can't be open and then not shoot. No. If that's gonna be the case, why are you out there?
[00:37:46] Unknown:
Yeah. It's not a good book. But it's interesting. But I'm also, like it kind of, like, got me excited because, like, I mean, when I heard that we were we got Drew Holiday, I, like, I mean, lost it. I was, like, that is amazing. And he has not let me down. He has not made me feel that, you know, his performance is not what I expected. It's just different. But I like to see the glimpses of the you know, that Drew Holiday.
[00:38:21] Unknown:
Know what I'm saying? Yeah. And I do think there is another level that he can still find with us. But, you know, like you said, you've seen in some games like the Bucks, but then, you know, he doesn't handle the ball a lot, so it's gonna lead to fewer touches, makes it a little bit harder. Yeah. It's just a little bit different. I mean, he's not
[00:38:38] Unknown:
the, you know, the the 3rd, second option, or whatever anymore. But I think I'm very grateful he's on our team.
[00:38:48] Unknown:
Any thoughts on the Houston Golden State game?
[00:38:55] Unknown:
My thoughts are, wow, Draymond and what's his name? Dillon Brooks. There could be a a fight tonight. There could be a brawl. Yeah. I'm here for it if there is to Yeah. Because first, I was just thinking, and right before I said, wow, I was like, Dillon Brooks, that someone's gonna get hurt or something. But then I also then I remember Draymond, and I was like, woah. There could be trouble out there. Yeah. Those guys are An NBA Cup. We wanna win this game. There could be something fiery out there.
[00:39:28] Unknown:
The only thing is not like they can't match up against each other, but they're not gonna be covering each other. They both generally cover the other players' better offensive players, and neither of them are super strong on offense. Might not be that they directly
[00:39:43] Unknown:
get into it, but both of them would be involved if anything came up. So Yeah. Even if one of them had to run that test. Would probably exacerbate the situation. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong. But I'm also very glad that we don't root for Houston.
[00:40:02] Unknown:
I mean Why is that?
[00:40:04] Unknown:
They are what it what was that Detroit team called? The bad boys. The bad boys. They're the bad boys of 2024, 25. They are. I mean, good good for them, but I'm not a bad boy. I'm not I'm not into that. No. You're not. I'm not a bad egg, generally speaking. So I would have a hard time if I were my team. I'd be like, can't stand for this. You prefer people are nice to each other. Yeah. That's like I was talking about. The wholesome. Our team is wholesome as anything, really. And even Jalen, his little villain era, I love it. I mean, because I have like I said, I'm a good egg generally, but I have a villain streak.
I have a streak. I have a switch. I get Jaylen. We make I get him. I feel like we're twin flames.
[00:41:05] Unknown:
Yeah. Because he's pretty mild mannered too until he's not. And then when he's not He is. Though he is, I would still classify him as wholesome.
[00:41:14] Unknown:
You know? Because he is who he is. He's a sweet man. He's just doing what he wants to do, and he's really good. I don't know. I'm going off on a tangent, but we have a wholesome team. I would have a hard time rooting for Houston if I lived in Texas. That's that.
[00:41:38] Unknown:
Yeah. I, because there was an article today on ESPN, that was talking about them, and Fred Van Vliet, because I think it kinda does lead from Udoka, and he was quoted as saying, well, he is always pissed off. Imagine the most mad face ever just staring daggers at you, another player said. Yeah.
[00:41:59] Unknown:
I can see it. I mean, I I never I guess I didn't really notice as much when he was our coach. But afterwards and after everything that happened, I was like I feel like my eyes widened to him, and I was like, oh, he is he's got some dark energy there for sure.
[00:42:19] Unknown:
Yeah. Jabari Smith junior said he lets you play free, but he's he's going to let he's going to expect you to play hard. He's going to expect you to defend. And if you're not gonna do that, you're probably not gonna be in the game.
[00:42:31] Unknown:
Which is reasonable. That's a reasonable take for any coach, but he's terrifying.
[00:42:39] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, he's out here ready to fight officials during the game. But the daggers thing, the eyes, the dagger eyes, a 100%.
[00:42:47] Unknown:
I would steer clear if I were anywhere near him. Yeah. He has made The Rockets a lot better, though. Yeah. He's probably a great coach, and I do think that he really helped, like, get Tate him out of his shell in a lot of ways. Make him a little tougher. I really do think so, and I appreciate him for that. And I appreciate his time spent with us, but kind of I feel But, again, thank God we got Joe. Thank God we got Joe. And, like, that was just the way that it was meant to be. You know? At the end of the day, things are just meant to be how they are meant to be and how things, you know, fold.
It is what it is.
[00:43:31] Unknown:
Well, things can only work out the way that they do. That's it.
[00:43:36] Unknown:
You can't change it. That's it. Do no crying over spilled milk. And, hey, we won a championship.
[00:43:43] Unknown:
Yeah. No. Instead, we were laughing over spilled milk because then we won the championship. Yeah. We were not crying.
[00:43:50] Unknown:
We joke's on you, everyone. And Ime. I mean, I don't condone what he did, and his wife is a hot, hot woman. Are they still together? Oh, I have no idea. Wow. Look at this outfit.
[00:44:11] Unknown:
Yeah. Jalen Green.
[00:44:14] Unknown:
Wow. He had, like, a one single leather glove on. Was he on our team?
[00:44:22] Unknown:
No. Never.
[00:44:24] Unknown:
Only been with the Rockets. Wait. But what about that other, Green? Where where did he go, and does he still play?
[00:44:31] Unknown:
Jeff Green.
[00:44:32] Unknown:
No. That's not what I'm thinking of either. Who was that super athletic?
[00:44:38] Unknown:
Oh.
[00:44:39] Unknown:
What's his name?
[00:44:41] Unknown:
Oh, man. That's gonna bother me.
[00:44:44] Unknown:
Please find out. He's on our team 3 years ago.
[00:44:50] Unknown:
Yeah. I'm looking up the roster.
[00:44:53] Unknown:
The boys loved him. I think he's pretty close with Tatum. What the heck was his name? Is his last name Green, though?
[00:45:04] Unknown:
I think so.
[00:45:06] Unknown:
Alright. Well, while you look at that, I will, wait.
[00:45:13] Unknown:
Sick.
[00:45:15] Unknown:
Boom. Gervonta Green. Oh, okay. See? That's onto something. I thought that was him for a second.
[00:45:23] Unknown:
No. They could they couldn't be Where does he go? Where is he playing? Where did he go? I don't know if he's playing anywhere anymore. I think he's out the league. Yeah. He's too bad. Yeah. But he he played a little bit, though. Oh, actually, no. He's,
[00:45:38] Unknown:
he's with the Pelicans now. Oh, there we go. Good for him. Good for him. I like them.
[00:45:48] Unknown:
Yeah. He's been playing for them a little bit.
[00:45:50] Unknown:
For the most part, I liked every I've liked every Celtic. You know, one of my favorite Chicago
[00:45:55] Unknown:
after us for a while. Playing. Right? He was, like, he was, like, out there. Last year, he averaged 12 points. Only played 9 games, though.
[00:46:04] Unknown:
Oh. Have you ever heard? Something, baby. Jeez. It's too bad. You know who I miss? I miss Daniel Theiss. Theiss. Didn't we didn't they think for a second that maybe you would come back to us this year?
[00:46:20] Unknown:
Was it la this year or last year? I thought it was last year that was floating around. Year. Yeah. Could've been.
[00:46:26] Unknown:
It does he still play?
[00:46:28] Unknown:
I'm pretty sure.
[00:46:31] Unknown:
He played in the Olympics this year anyway.
[00:46:35] Unknown:
Who do you play for in the Olympics?
[00:46:37] Unknown:
Germany
[00:46:38] Unknown:
with Schroder. True. Yeah. Again, I don't know anything if if I'm not looking it up on the computer.
[00:46:44] Unknown:
I know some things, but it's crazy. I really don't know much at all at all what's going on. But if I like
[00:46:53] Unknown:
But you know the off the court stuff. So you know, like, oh, he plays for Germany. But when something's happening on the court, that's where you struggle.
[00:47:00] Unknown:
Yeah. I don't know anything about basketball. Tice, also with the Pelicans. Oh. He's done with the Was he did he also play for Chicago?
[00:47:12] Unknown:
No. He's been really bouncing around. After he played for us, he played for Indiana, the Clippers, and the Pelicans.
[00:47:19] Unknown:
Well,
[00:47:23] Unknown:
I really liked him.
[00:47:25] Unknown:
Yeah. He was great.
[00:47:29] Unknown:
I liked everyone recently except I didn't like Neesmith, and I still really
[00:47:38] Unknown:
dislike him. It bothers me so much that he's good now.
[00:47:43] Unknown:
Yeah. What business does he have being so good now? I can't even say that he's good. I take that back what I just said because I just can't say it. It's like fire breathing out of my mouth when I say it.
[00:47:56] Unknown:
It hurt. He is good now, though. And
[00:48:00] Unknown:
oh, and I didn't love Brogdon. I liked him, but then he sort of have a bad attitude.
[00:48:10] Unknown:
Yeah. NeSmith for the Celtics, He averaged 4.7 points 1st year, 3.8 points 2nd year, and then he averaged 10 for Indiana, 12 for Indiana, and now he's averaging 9. He's only played 6 games, so I must get hurt. Mhmm. He I feel like he always kills us too.
[00:48:31] Unknown:
Well, he definitely has a pep in his step when he plays against us. You know what? You know what? I can't believe. You're gonna not even you're not even gonna know what hit you. I can't believe that I told the Baylor story two times.
[00:48:51] Unknown:
I can't. It was more of like a like an anecdote at the end. I think we were talking about if certain players are gonna get in or something, and somehow you brought it up, but you brought it up. Damn. Yeah. And then you just went in on me again. I let you tell your story twice. And
[00:49:05] Unknown:
Next time problem. Next time
[00:49:07] Unknown:
let's do a sign, a hand signal. Well, no. When I'm getting slaughtered, I'm gonna let you hang yourself in those situations. I'm not gonna help you out there. I'm gonna let you drown. Come on.
[00:49:17] Unknown:
Come on. Maybe we should do a hand signal for, like don't talk about this stuff. Stop it now.
[00:49:25] Unknown:
What's the hand signal? Show me.
[00:49:30] Unknown:
It's gonna be like this.
[00:49:33] Unknown:
Just wagging your finger. No.
[00:49:37] Unknown:
Yeah. Wagging the finger, no. No. No.
[00:49:41] Unknown:
Now can that be universal? Like, if you're doing things like yawning or asking how much time we've done, can I hit you with the no? Yeah.
[00:49:49] Unknown:
I am thinking right now. I just wanna know. I need to have some sort of guidance. It off. It's not that I'm, like, ready to I'm not ready to leave anyone. I'm here to stay. I just I have no concept.
[00:50:03] Unknown:
Of how much time we've done? Yeah. Yeah. I have no concept. Clock right here. Stand up and look at it. I'm not gonna tell you how much time we've done. I didn't know that. How do you think I know? Your phone. What do I know? Think I'm timing this on my no. I'm a professional.
[00:50:17] Unknown:
I'm a professional. Me in a little, will you? I'm gonna stand up and look at it. Not because you told me to, because I want to.
[00:50:28] Unknown:
I'm throwing more hand signals. Yeah. It's right on the screen here. And then we're talking about our podcast. About quickly?
[00:50:38] Unknown:
Briefly? We have a Red Sox book on a shelf that is right in front of me where we podcast. And if you're listening to this, then you are a Boston fan, you must be, or you're just a fan of Sean and I. But you've gotta watch the Red Sox series on Netflix.
[00:51:05] Unknown:
Yeah. Kevin Moore was incredible
[00:51:07] Unknown:
on that.
[00:51:08] Unknown:
I don't remember what was it called. Road to something or other? Google it?
[00:51:16] Unknown:
I already was.
[00:51:18] Unknown:
The comeback. Oh, the comeback. Guys, you've watched the comeback. I loved it. I'm gonna let Nana borrow our Netflix subscription so she can watch
[00:51:28] Unknown:
it. Yeah. We gotta log her in.
[00:51:30] Unknown:
My nana is a very, very big Red Sox fan. I thought she was recently just mad. Maybe as I forgot to invite her to our son's birthday party. I can't believe I did that, so I bought her a Red Sox ornament. She didn't remember. She didn't remember I didn't invite her anymore. I'm now her favorite again.
[00:51:48] Unknown:
Hopefully, she never listens to this because I'm not editing that out. She's not she's not gonna listen.
[00:51:55] Unknown:
If she does, it's all love, nana, for sure. It is. It is. It is. It's all love. Yeah. Anyway, watch it, the comeback. It was great, if you haven't.
[00:52:09] Unknown:
That was very good. And we just watched, what was it, Under the Banner? Under the new tats?
[00:52:15] Unknown:
Are those new tats? For who? W p on Dylan Brooks?
[00:52:20] Unknown:
I don't know.
[00:52:22] Unknown:
W p. W on the right shoulder, p on the left shoulder. I don't know. But this looks like they are ready to come out. Guns a blazing. Do you think Steph's tired of just playing out there? Do you think he's tired of it? He's been out there for a long time. He's been in Golden State for a long time. Do you think he's like, I'm ready to retire. I'm ready to move on. Do something different. Just looking a little a little like let's shake things up. Maybe maybe it's time.
[00:52:57] Unknown:
This is just this is just a Reddit source, but, supposedly, it stands for wolf pack. That's the name of group of friends Dylan Brook has known for a long time. They call themselves the Wolfpack.
[00:53:09] Unknown:
Yep.
[00:53:11] Unknown:
But it can't be that new because this is 5 months ago that someone asked why he has the w and the p.
[00:53:18] Unknown:
Oh, I see.
[00:53:21] Unknown:
Let me tell you. This Houston court, awful.
[00:53:24] Unknown:
Yeah. Bright Red is not not fun to look at. It.
[00:53:32] Unknown:
Did you say who you thought was gonna win this one?
[00:53:36] Unknown:
No. I didn't say because I really don't know. I feel that Golden State should win, but I feel like Houston could win.
[00:53:53] Unknown:
Yeah. I feel like Houston is gonna win. At home. Yeah. They're at home. That's gonna help them. They've been playing pretty well anyway. Like they are just like they care more,
[00:54:02] Unknown:
generally speaking.
[00:54:04] Unknown:
And Golden State star started hot, but I think they've been a little exposed lately.
[00:54:08] Unknown:
For sure. No. You're right. Yeah. So, you know, I'll go with you. I'll say Houston.
[00:54:17] Unknown:
Yeah. And Golden State's one of those teams that I just like to root against. Mhmm. Not even the biggest Rockets fan, but I'll root against Golden State just about all the time.
[00:54:27] Unknown:
Yeah. I feel you. So remind me again when's the trade deadline February?
[00:54:34] Unknown:
Yeah. Usually around when the all star game is.
[00:54:39] Unknown:
I love it. So fun. This is I'm talking about the reality show piece of it, the drama. I just don't wanna have anything to do with us.
[00:54:50] Unknown:
February 6th.
[00:54:53] Unknown:
I don't wanna be a part of it, but I like to just no.
[00:54:57] Unknown:
Yeah. I can't imagine we're gonna be part of any drama. We would maybe if we did trade anybody, it wouldn't be anybody in the top 7 or 8 guys.
[00:55:07] Unknown:
But do you think we have to trade any I'm like, oh, you know, think you tried to explain this to me earlier, but go ahead and do it again. So if we seriously wanted to get Ben Simmons, what would we have to do? If he's a free agent, then we will just agree to the terms, essentially.
[00:55:25] Unknown:
Yes. They were saying that maybe he would get, bought out. So, like, essentially, you just the team doesn't want you. You don't it's not working out. So Where is he right now? Is he still with Brooklyn, or is he not with them? No. He's not with Brooklyn. I don't. Where the heck does he play?
[00:55:44] Unknown:
Sixers? No. Definitely not. Where in the world is the instinct and oh, he is?
[00:55:54] Unknown:
Sorry. Just again, what did you say at the beginning? You said my first instinct is usually correct. Just trust that, please. Hit me with now, and then you said you said the Sixers?
[00:56:04] Unknown:
That was old news. Yeah.
[00:56:09] Unknown:
You know what? Like, 2022 old news. Best. 2022 old news, Gels. Doing my best, please.
[00:56:17] Unknown:
Just bear with me. Okay. So team doesn't want them. They buy them out. That must be a bad feeling.
[00:56:26] Unknown:
Well, not if you can end up on the Celtics. You get you get bought out, you make money, and then you go somewhere, you get a new contract, you make more money. I don't know. In some situations, that works out pretty well. Need to think about this. I feel like Brad really would need to think about this because I feel like he could just be a little, like,
[00:56:44] Unknown:
sauerkraut.
[00:56:46] Unknown:
I don't know why you're so low on him. A little spoiler. We're buying very low. If he never played for us, no problem. Yeah. But what about the team chem
[00:56:56] Unknown:
in the locker room, in the bench, in the vibes?
[00:57:02] Unknown:
I think he would add to it. He and he would also play for us. He's ridiculous defensively, and he's very good passing the ball. It'd be another ball handler. Right now, besides Pritchard, we don't really have a true point guard.
[00:57:18] Unknown:
Alright. Well
[00:57:20] Unknown:
He never wants to shoot. He has a wide open layup. He passes the ball.
[00:57:24] Unknown:
In life, I trust you because, you know, you are my we are married. I generally, I trust you, so I'm gonna trust you on this. Generally. I'm gonna trust you on this.
[00:57:41] Unknown:
Yeah. I think it'd be good for us if we got him.
[00:57:44] Unknown:
I guess we'll find out.
[00:57:46] Unknown:
Yeah. Because, I mean, also, he could end up somewhere else. They're just whatever that was you sent me said they
[00:57:51] Unknown:
I don't know. From the from the said it how or why or what. But somebody said it, and I sent it to you.
[00:58:00] Unknown:
That was your contribution for the podcast.
[00:58:03] Unknown:
I sent you some other things, didn't I?
[00:58:06] Unknown:
Yeah. You did. You showed me something about some more. Is as my part of the the
[00:58:11] Unknown:
the podcast is I send you clips when I see them,
[00:58:15] Unknown:
and that's that. Also, by the way, the the thing that you sent me, it's from the Instagram account called SELT reports. So it's I don't know how trustworthy that is.
[00:58:28] Unknown:
Yeah. Because look at Eme. You should have closed closed up with him. Terrifying. He's not to be messed with. That I feel certain about. He could be a villain in like, a star villain in Spider Man or something.
[00:58:42] Unknown:
Yeah. Or just the NBA.
[00:58:44] Unknown:
Yeah. Oh, Dylan and Draymond.
[00:58:51] Unknown:
Close to each other on the court? They were Who knows what might happen? Bumping each other a little bit.
[00:58:57] Unknown:
Watch out. Below. I'm pretty bored of this already, though.
[00:59:05] Unknown:
Well, it just started. To me, I guess,
[00:59:08] Unknown:
now they came out hot, but Golden State is kinda falling flat for me. I don't like their starting lineup.
[00:59:16] Unknown:
Yeah. Well, they're a pretty boring team.
[00:59:19] Unknown:
Yeah. They just sound a little vanilla to me. I don't know what I'm talking about, though. Oh, I definitely aren't. They got Gary Payton junior,
[00:59:27] Unknown:
Steph I guess some Buddy Heels, who's actually been very good. He's 2nd in line behind Richard for since then. With him. He adds a little he adds something. But, also, he's been why does he start? Who's not who's not playing?
[00:59:40] Unknown:
Talking to the bench, Kuminga.
[00:59:44] Unknown:
I don't know. I also can't believe how good Kaminga is too.
[00:59:48] Unknown:
I like him, I think. Yeah.
[01:00:00] Unknown:
What? What?
[01:00:03] Unknown:
Had to yawn. Oh my. Had to step away from the microphone.
[01:00:10] Unknown:
But instead of just stepping away, you're like, oh. Like, you were I thought you're choking on something.
[01:00:18] Unknown:
No. I just kinda forgot, so I made it real obvious. Every time I look up, though, besides that one shot coming, you just hit, I just keep seeing balls not falling into the net.
[01:00:32] Unknown:
Well, both teams are shooting 50% to start the game. Well, I must be looking only half the time. Yeah. You're looking at the half where they're not hitting anything?
[01:00:41] Unknown:
Yeah.
[01:00:43] Unknown:
Or yawning while they were making everything? Yeah. What do you think about, to the potential Jimmy Butler being traded? All he said was, who knows, when asked recently.
[01:00:59] Unknown:
I think it's time for him to go. I think he's gotta leave the heat.
[01:01:06] Unknown:
They said the Rockets, Warriors, Suns. The Rockets would be a good spot for him. Yeah. Rockets are probably the I mean, he would help the Rockets the most.
[01:01:16] Unknown:
The Suns? I don't see it. That's too much going on there.
[01:01:22] Unknown:
Well, they would get rid of what's his name. I know. But even still,
[01:01:26] Unknown:
I feel like those 3, that's a lot. That's a lot.
[01:01:32] Unknown:
Yeah. And Jimmy kinda fancies himself an alpha dog, and
[01:01:36] Unknown:
Booker and Duran are both alphas. Yeah. And, like, Jimmy, you can't go in there and think that he's gonna run the show because he's not going to. No. Those guys are. Yeah. So I don't feel like that would be a good fit, just from that standpoint. I just, like I get it, but the trades, like, in the middle of the season are kinda crazy to me.
[01:02:02] Unknown:
You don't think it should be allowed? It just feels like
[01:02:06] Unknown:
it just feels like not real. Like, you know, you wanna start and finish with the team, don't you?
[01:02:13] Unknown:
Well, sometimes, maybe they don't wanna start and finish with the team, and that's why they trade them. Yeah. I don't know. But, like, a big trade like that just seems like aggressive.
[01:02:23] Unknown:
You know?
[01:02:25] Unknown:
Well, I think the heat just aren't where they would expect to be, and so the worst place you can be is be in the middle. Well, where who who would go to the heat? What's his name? I just I couldn't come up with it, but you said, yeah. Like, you knew. Who's the 3rd star on Oh, Brad the Young. The Suns. Yeah. Where where have you been? I didn't know if there would be some kind of a 3 team deal trade thing. That's always a possibility, but how can I come up with that in my head? I don't know. I'm not having these conversations with the GMs. A lot more than me.
[01:02:59] Unknown:
Sometimes I don't know things that I don't realize other people don't know because I don't know
[01:03:05] Unknown:
so much about basketball. There's just all there's just speculation. He may go nowhere.
[01:03:10] Unknown:
They're just talking and but, generally, with the club anywhere now, he's gonna go somewhere over the summer, probably, I think.
[01:03:18] Unknown:
He has a well, the that's what they're saying. He has a $52,000,000 player option, so he could decline that, not make 52,000,000, but then he can go into the open market and sign a long term contract. So he could sign for 3, 4, 5 years with whoever he wants. 52,000,000 is a lot of money, though.
[01:03:38] Unknown:
It's a risky biz
[01:03:40] Unknown:
Yeah. But he to decline it. Yeah. But he would probably sign a max somewhere. Mhmm. So he would make at least that, I would guess.
[01:03:47] Unknown:
Mhmm. Yeah. I don't know. Jimmy just he grabs me the wrong way. I used to appreciate his spunk, but now I just think he's I think he's got his priorities a little flip flopped.
[01:04:06] Unknown:
Yeah. And when you're bad, the act is never quite as funny as when you're good. Right. No one cares about the coffee you drink. Yeah. No one cares that, you know, your your hair is crazy.
[01:04:18] Unknown:
It's just like, I want you to look back on that and think, like, I shouldn't have done that.
[01:04:23] Unknown:
Remember the goth era he had?
[01:04:26] Unknown:
Yeah. And then he also did, like, another another thing. I don't remember what it was. But yeah. I mean, like, you can't take your yourself too seriously for sure. I'm not saying that you need to be, like, a 100% about basketball all the time. But, like, for example, Jalen and Jason both do a lot of other things that they really care about, but they they are, like, honed in on basketball.
[01:04:53] Unknown:
And
[01:04:54] Unknown:
they don't make it like a joke. I feel like sometimes he does, and he says things that he shouldn't say as, like, a professional basketball player.
[01:05:06] Unknown:
Agreed.
[01:05:08] Unknown:
Yeah. I just wasn't a huge fan on, you know, starting 5 either.
[01:05:13] Unknown:
Yeah. Starting 5, he was a little into himself.
[01:05:16] Unknown:
Me? A lot into himself. Yeah. All the time. He thinks who the f he is. Is that what I said last time?
[01:05:25] Unknown:
I forget, but yeah.
[01:05:28] Unknown:
Yeah. I don't know. You've been going in. I know, but I didn't say it.
[01:05:38] Unknown:
You got anything else?
[01:05:42] Unknown:
I'm sure I will. We, sign off.
[01:05:45] Unknown:
That's when the takes really come?
[01:05:47] Unknown:
They I mean, yeah. They always do that.
[01:05:52] Unknown:
You gotta have, like, a take or 2 to come in with every time. Write it down somewhere. Be ready to go. Do some Like work. Work in the on the front end.
[01:06:03] Unknown:
I don't want our listeners to think I'm not doing work in life.
[01:06:09] Unknown:
I don't think they care about the work in life. If they're listening to this, they wanna listen to the work on the podcast. That's what they want.
[01:06:17] Unknown:
That is pretty valid. I'll work on it. I'll work on the pod.
[01:06:25] Unknown:
Alright. Until next time. See you.
[01:06:28] Unknown:
Adios.
