And like you said, Edwards had a tough game. We'll get to that too, but this is what Joe had to say about Tatum on the guard, Anthony Edwards.

You know, his ability to, just execute really just fight for the shot that he wanted. Obviously, he made some great shots, but I just thought his intentionality on the offensive end was really good. He started the night out on on Edwards,   you know, which is something that he wanted, and, I thought he took on the challenge of that. So, he was great tonight.

Like,   he   seems overwhelmed.   And, also, like, I think that that comes with experience, though, because he's still, like, very young.   And,   like, we talk about all the time how, like, Tatum and   and Jalen are different players now than they were years ago, and they're just much more okay   with doing what they need to do to win, where I feel like Anthony Edwards is just still all about   himself and how it looks. He's very worried about   how he looks and that he wants to be considered one of the best in the league, and that's kind of what he's worried about right now. Yeah. I mean, he's only 23, so a lot of room to grow. And his game is ridiculous, especially for that age, but

it just shows the levels to the game where when things are tough or if they're gonna double I mean, Tatum gets double teamed   almost every night that he plays and finds ways to still be a top scorer in the league. So it's one thing to have a bad night if you're getting doubled. It's another thing to me to be utterly confused   about what happened on the court when you got doubled. Yeah. You're gonna get double teamed. Yeah. You're the best player on the team. I know. I know. I mean, you can take it that way. Same getting doubled because

It just seems like their team is, like, definitely   falling apart a little bit and definitely less unified than they were last year,   and, like, Ant doesn't really know what to do.

Yeah. Because I I think Julius Randle has been good, but He's been good. Yeah. It just   Kat definitely spaced the floor a lot better for them, and I think really opened things up for Edwards where   Julius Randle is kind of like a Kyrie Irving type where he gets a lot for himself, but he doesn't   open things up for other people to get stuff and neither does Ant. So it it makes it tough. It's like one of them is going or the other one is going.   And I I'll say I thought that,   the Timberwolves are gonna be better, but they really have suffered given up Cat. Cat has been unbelievable in New York. I mean, we only have won by 3 points yesterday.

It was definitely   a tough type game,   but you can like you said, you can see the cracks.

Yeah. And we're on the road without 2 of our best players.   They had their full lineup. So,   I mean, to win by 3, obviously, you wanna win by more, but we're up by 12. It felt like we were in control. At the beginning, it was a little bit of a slow start, but then it really felt like we're in control for most of that game until they played a little desperate and came back in the second half.

But he hung onto the rim for 25 seconds,   And I feel like in the beginning of the season   was it the beginning of this season or last season? If people hung onto the rim for point   5 milliseconds, they're gonna attack. I think it was more last season, but it was nuts when he just did to it for so long. He easily would've been And it's like the momentum. Like, they do have to hold on to it for a little bit. There that was so extra when they did that, but now I'm just saying it's, like, the complete opposite. No one called that. Yeah. No one seems to care about that anymore. It's not a point of emphasis.

I'm gonna do this every week, and then real life happens. Everything is easy to say, and everything is especially easy to say after you've just been gluttonous for 2 weeks

I'm just, like, settling in,   and I used to think that, like, the bare trees without leaves were so   dreary and ugly, and it took so long for it to be beautiful outside again, but, no, It's beautiful outside now.   It really is. It's calm.  

Everyone's just hibernating.   I know. It's freezing.   And I'm enjoying it. I know people get the winter blues, and I do I do get that,   but I'm just living in the living in the moment. I can't do anything about the weather.   I might as well enjoy it under my blanket.

So they're not just gonna take that sitting down because that's because that's money. That's a lot of money that he's losing out by being suspended for those games. So that just came out because they, obviously, the Jimmy stuff just came out too. This is breaking news.

So he wherever he goes, say they send him to Siberia,   he can then opt out   next year. No problem. He's an unrestricted free agent. He can do whatever he wants. So   it doesn't make sense to trade a ton to get him unless you're positive   he's gonna stay and or will sign an extension.

a team wanna trade for a guy? Like, say say they're like, hey. We wanna trade him to San Antonio, and he's like, well, I'm not going to play in San San Antonio next year. I'm gonna opt out of the contract, and I'm gonna be an unrestricted free agent. You're not gonna trade 3 first round picks to get him for half a season. That makes some sense. Yeah. So   I just don't see what you're saying. Unless they, like and it just seems so fractured now that I don't think Jimmy's gonna do them a favor and be like, well, I would love to go here.   I will sign with them.  

So, ultimately, I feel like the Heat are gonna lose out in this big time, because Jimmy's gonna be an unrestricted free agent next year. He has   more power in this even though he comes off looking kinda bad. He has a lot more power in this than the Heat do. Mhmm. That's why they're trying to, like, flex right now to, like, save face.
