Okay. What I have to say is Percher's going for a career high. He'll definitely make it. He's, like, three or four points away,
[00:00:11] Unknown:
maybe less at this point. I think four points away. Career high, they said was 38. He's at 34.
[00:00:17] Unknown:
And he's not wearing seven forty ones. Oh, he's not. No. And he's having such an incredible game.
[00:00:25] Unknown:
I I don't think they're the Sabrina's
[00:00:27] Unknown:
either. So now he's not gonna be able to wear the seven forty ones for so long because he had such a great game. He says when he has a very bad game, he changes his sneakers. He's not gonna change his sneakers when he just is gonna get a career high.
[00:00:41] Unknown:
You know what I mean? I gotta figure out what shoes he is wearing, though, because I don't think those Sabrina's, they look a little bit different, unless they're just a different style.
[00:00:49] Unknown:
Well, anyway, what day is it? It's Wednesday night watching Celtic Portland game. Half of our teams not playing, and it's fine. It's going well.
[00:01:00] Unknown:
Going well. Feels like it's been forever since we recorded.
[00:01:05] Unknown:
Probably because it has.
[00:01:06] Unknown:
Feels like it's been a hundred years. Yeah. Mike Tirico on the call. Yeah. Guy's absolutely incredible.
[00:01:15] Unknown:
Yeah. It's been funny. I I I would think that Scowl is black blocking him out a little bit, though, for me. Like, I barely hear him talking because I Scal for whatever reason.
[00:01:28] Unknown:
Well, I mean, Scal likes to talk. It's funny. She made up funny because you said that
[00:01:35] Unknown:
he looked like Drew and what he was wearing, and then he they legit talked about it. You've been doing that lately. Mimi, you're the one that was ESP.
[00:01:42] Unknown:
I just got predictions. Mhmm. Yeah. He did say we got we got some Mike Tirico content. I did a little work, early on. See if I can pull it up.
[00:01:52] Unknown:
A lifetime professionally to work with Scow. Notice, I have no tie. I went with the Drew Carter. Right? With the Drew Carter quarters yet. You know? Just trying to be fashionable in it. So I came to play the part. I hope I'm doing a good job to start. I knew right
[00:02:06] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, good job. I mean, incredible job. I'm like, wow. It's levels to the game. Drew, you can't possibly hope to ever become Mike Tirico. Best maybe to ever do it. I don't wanna go too crazy, but I mean, we don't need to tear Drew down. A consummate professional. I would love to sign Mike Tirico. Give him 10,000,000 a year. Get whatever he needs to make. Get him on the call. You never know. We're the number one team ever out there. Maybe he'll come to us. And, also, funny you say that he, let me see if I can pass forward to this. I don't know if I can, which is gonna not make it as good. But Joe, had some advice to give him before the game as well, which I'm gonna try to just snippet right at the end, but, or I'll just say because the way Instagram does is not gonna work. He said, don't expect to talk too much. We're doing it with Scout in the free game interview. Yeah.
[00:03:02] Unknown:
Cal just I mean, this is his that's what he does. So Trico's going into his
[00:03:07] Unknown:
territory. So Yeah. And he likes to dominate a call for sure. Yeah.
[00:03:14] Unknown:
So, I mean, I feel like a lot's been going on, but nothing at the same time. It's kinda that time in the season after all star break. I feel like people do have a little bit of juice back, but also what's occurring is everyone is getting hurt.
[00:03:29] Unknown:
Everyone is getting hurt. Happens every single year.
[00:03:32] Unknown:
Just about this time, I think, I would say, people just start dropping like flies, and then their seasons are pretty much done.
[00:03:40] Unknown:
Feel terrible for the Mavs.
[00:03:42] Unknown:
Not the Mavs organization themselves, but certainly the fans. Feel bad. Yeah. I feel bad for the fans. I feel bad for the players, the coaches. I just feel like it's been a hot mess over there, and I feel terrible about Kyrie. You saw it. I mean, if you watch the play, I was like, oh, yeah. He tore his ACL. Yeah. Hit two free throws with a torn ACL. Pretty wild. I mean, it's painful, but it's not, like, the most painful injury you could have. But,
[00:04:13] Unknown:
Yeah. There are offensive linemen in football that will continue to play the rest of the season on a torn ACL. Don't even feel it. It's just
[00:04:20] Unknown:
not stable. There's a lot of instability. But, yeah, I feel quite bad. So and everybody's hurt. I mean, our team is kind of a little bit beat up. KP's been sick for, like, a lifetime, and I don't know what's going on with Drew. I mean, the report saying that he's, like, day to day and that maybe everything will be fine is confusing me because mallet finger you gotta be splinted for a long time. So unless he's gonna play with a splint, I'm, like, kind of confused as to what is gonna happen.
[00:04:58] Unknown:
Yeah. Maybe he'll play with, like I not the splint that he's wearing now, but it seems extra protective. I maybe have to play with some dogs. But it's, like, you gotta keep it straight.
[00:05:07] Unknown:
That's, like, the only treatment unless you get surgery.
[00:05:10] Unknown:
Yeah. But he said he's not gonna get surgery. Peyton Pritchard up to 37 points. Oh, boy. Two points to go.
[00:05:18] Unknown:
It's pretty crazy. Got oh, Walsh has been hustling for those rebounds.
[00:05:25] Unknown:
Jordan Walsh has been grinding tonight. He had three too. At least one I saw. Always been the best, but,
[00:05:32] Unknown:
we're also discussing the lack of, time for Tory Craig, which is buying me out. I mean, I'm excited. I wanna see him play. He dates Megan Thee Stallion. He deserves some playing time. I mean, she's watching. You gotta get that boy on the court. Get him on the court. Might lose his girl. And he's been good too. He's been he's been I think he's had a good minutes. He brings the energy. He's a good teammate, it seems. He's out there on the bench hopping up and down all around, you know, happy for everyone.
[00:06:06] Unknown:
But I don't know, man. Yeah. Joe only played eight tonight so far at the beginning of the sport. Was, like, putting a sink,
[00:06:13] Unknown:
but it just makes me feel a little bit bad.
[00:06:17] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, Trailblaz is our young team. Maybe he's trying to get the younger guys a little more action, a little more juice, but it is interesting that he's not playing because he has been so good. And guys like Jordan Walsh, it's almost like he came in because guys like Jordan Walsh couldn't hang and get minutes. Mhmm. And now they are getting minutes. But you never know with Joe. Joe sometimes decides, oh, this isn't a Tory Craig game, or he may just be trying to motivate him. You never know. Yeah. I guess. Joe's playing 60 chess.
[00:06:45] Unknown:
Mhmm. He's got his seven forty ones on, I think.
[00:06:52] Unknown:
Yeah. He stays in the seven forty ones.
[00:06:59] Unknown:
The player spotlight that I wanted to have for this week is just I just wanna shout out Kevin Durant Yo. Shout out, KD. For making me cry on the regular with just his passion and love for the game. It's just so sweet. Did we talk about this last episode? I think we played him last episode too. Oh, yeah. I think we did. I and we but we actually watched the episode. We had seen the clips, so we watched the episode now this week, and I just wanna shout him out once again. He's one of my favorite players. I wonder where he's gonna end up next year. Do you have any thoughts?
[00:07:44] Unknown:
I think they've been saying the Mavericks was one of the teams that was They could use them. Being thrown out there.
[00:07:49] Unknown:
They could definitely use them. How does he play with AD, do you think?
[00:07:54] Unknown:
I think they'd be pretty nasty together.
[00:07:57] Unknown:
Because so this is for me and those who don't understand basketball. So Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Anthony Davis. Don't know who the other two would be from the Mavs that would start.
[00:08:14] Unknown:
It's Klay.
[00:08:15] Unknown:
Okay. Klay.
[00:08:17] Unknown:
I don't know. Maybe, like
[00:08:19] Unknown:
We don't know. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know their roster on it. So who's one through five? Is Katie four and AD five? Kyrie one? Yeah. Roughly. See? Look at me. I'm learning. But is there any world where Katie is a five? No. He's very tall, but he's not a five.
[00:08:38] Unknown:
No. I mean, I'm pretty sure when he went to Texas, he faked how tall he was because he didn't even wanna be a a four, a power forward. He wanted to be, like, a two or three. Or just nowadays, it's more, like, bigs in wings. Or three, they handle the ball more. Is that, like, kind of why? Well, ones, like, typically will handle the ball more. Like, twos and threes would be considered wings. So they're, like, handling the ball, but more in, like, a scoring capacity. So they're gonna be, like, maybe driving and kicking or driving into the basket or shooting. The ball is that they're gonna take the ball and get the ball in the net.
[00:09:12] Unknown:
It's probably different than handling the ball. But, can you break it down for the the people out there that don't know what that is? AKA Kimberly, the one through five? The one through five. I feel like we've done this before, but we'll do it again. I think we have. I'm pretty sure. I don't
[00:09:29] Unknown:
know. We can do it again quick. One is point guard. Two would be shooting guard. Means what? They're gonna come run up the court. The one who's generally handling the ball, bringing up the court, setting up the offense. Send up the play.
[00:09:41] Unknown:
Yeah. Two. You go you go here. Point point to that corner, this corner, like, shaking the head and stuff.
[00:09:46] Unknown:
Yeah. The two is, shooting guard. So gonna be one of your primary scores. It may depend. Like, technically, Jalen on our team is the two. Or, I mean, Drew, I guess, like, it's weird because if, with our squad, like, Drew might be the one or the two. Dee White's gonna be the other one. If he's not the one, he's the two. Tatum's the four, but really Tatum is more of like a natural wing, like a three. It just is it's almost like positionless now. But three would be, two would be shooting guard. So, like, a good score, someone who can create for others to kick, to the wings off the dribble.
Three would be small forward. So, obviously, someone generally a little bit bigger, but very similar to the two where you need to be able to score, create shots for yourself, create shots for other people. The four could go a bunch of different ways. Like I said, Tatum is technically the four for us when in the starting lineup. But, you know, it could also be someone like, there's times where KP is maybe the four when he's playing with Al or with Cornette. So it could also be someone who is just pretty big or even or just a rebounder too. I mean, generally, that's skilled. The tallest
[00:11:03] Unknown:
is the five.
[00:11:05] Unknown:
Generally, the biggest one out there is the five.
[00:11:08] Unknown:
But nowadays too in the NBA, like, you're different than it was back in the day.
[00:11:13] Unknown:
Yeah. A lot different. It's not quite as like, nowadays, a lot more teams try to play what they would call positionless basketball where Mhmm. Like, even for us, sometimes we'll play what they call five out where all the guys are outside the three point line Mhmm. Which makes it really difficult to guard, gives a lot of space in the middle. And I feel like a lot of smaller teams do that. Right, though? Like Yeah. Or even just, like, a depending on your lineup. Yeah. Mhmm. So, like, there'd be times maybe where Tatum is, like, technically at the five, or even if KP's out there, we can do that where we're all outside. Once I added this up, you won't even know that it stopped when I unplugged it. You're not gonna even, but
[00:11:53] Unknown:
well, I'm glad that you got some you got it back. Because I would have I would have had to say, we need to we need to redo this tomorrow.
[00:12:04] Unknown:
Eight we were only twelve minutes in. You're about to pack it up when I unplugged the RodeCaster.
[00:12:09] Unknown:
Yeah. I was. But, anyway, where were we?
[00:12:15] Unknown:
We're just talking about I don't have any clips, but now I do have clips.
[00:12:19] Unknown:
Okay. But Britches on a roll. He clearly broke his record. He's out there taking names. Taking Nova, taking names.
[00:12:33] Unknown:
Oh, we're talking about Road to Gold, Kevin Durant.
[00:12:38] Unknown:
Yeah. A while ago. How much we love him. That was what we were just talking about. No way, Jose. Yeah. It was. Okay. Well, listen to this back, and then you let me know and pay me $50.
[00:12:48] Unknown:
What else do we talk about in between?
[00:12:50] Unknown:
We talked about the one through five.
[00:12:53] Unknown:
I think that was after.
[00:12:55] Unknown:
We talked about Katie first and then the one through five.
[00:12:58] Unknown:
Alright. Fine. Well, we didn't talk about Katie very much. I had Katie clips and then I just we moved on pretty quickly. Alright. Fine. But we can talk about him. I'm happy to. I love him. I'm not. And I'm deleting all the clips. I'm unsaving every single one of them
[00:13:11] Unknown:
as we speak. Oh, you're dramatic. I feel like people are finally starting to see how dramatic you are.
[00:13:18] Unknown:
No. I'm just trying to have some content here, and you're I you didn't have to say that. No one's gonna care. Thing that it's
[00:13:27] Unknown:
not there's not a lot of dialogue, so you can't play it. But if you haven't watched the Amica commercial, the Jason Tatum Amica commercial, you have to watch it because I also cried about that one. It was so sweet, him, and, like, his mom, and then he had all this, like, baby stuff around that he had to, like, put away or whatever. And then he heard the baby crying on the monitor, and I was, like, fully loving it because you're fully discussing without discussing that you had a baby with Ella Mai, May. Still don't know.
[00:14:09] Unknown:
And I love that. Well, I think it was more just, you know, why he why he does what he does. Well, yeah, for the kids. And there's a lot of do yeah. A lot of do stuff in there too, though. Yeah. But then there was baby things in the monitor and
[00:14:22] Unknown:
tiny, tiny JTs. It was just sweet. I I was just kinda surprised to see it. Yeah. I mean, it was a good commercial. It didn't get me quite the same as it got you. But Yeah. I mean, that makes sense. But I was just a little surprised because yeah. Just really heartwarming. I wish they would take more family photos. That's what I wanna see. I feel like they're super private. Yeah. Which is cool. It's cool. I think that that's fine. I just for me, personally
[00:14:56] Unknown:
You want the content. You want the access. Yeah. You wanna know what's going on. Yeah. Understandable.
[00:15:02] Unknown:
Yeah. But maybe that's why it's worked so long because they're so quiet about it.
[00:15:08] Unknown:
Yeah. Now they have a kid, so hopefully it works out. Mhmm. Also, any thoughts on JT I mean, Jalen switching from the white seven forty ones to the black ones? It wasn't like a halftime move. It was during the second quarter. Yeah. I have no idea what
[00:15:23] Unknown:
that could have been from.
[00:15:26] Unknown:
Maybe he just wasn't feeling it. He didn't have a great start to the game. So well, he did have a great start. I think he scored our first bucket, but then he didn't score for a while, and then he had a great close to the half.
[00:15:35] Unknown:
Maybe it's the shoes. I don't really know.
[00:15:39] Unknown:
I don't know. It's very up in the air because Pritchard's having such a good game not in the shoes. Career high, that's brutal brutal for the brand. Tough for the brand. Is,
[00:15:51] Unknown:
that other kid on the Trail Blazers?
[00:15:55] Unknown:
The guy used to play for us. On the bench right now. Yeah.
[00:15:59] Unknown:
I thought he was, like, playing more for them. Benton. He played seven minutes tonight, o of one. Oh, yeah. I didn't even see him. Had a rebound and an assist.
[00:16:07] Unknown:
Mhmm.
[00:16:10] Unknown:
But, yeah, I feel like early on, he played a lot more. I wonder if Bob's gonna get traded. There was a lot of talks about him during trade time, but, I don't think that happened.
[00:16:21] Unknown:
Oh, he's still on the team. Well, no. I know. But I don't know if it's gonna continue to happen, I mean. Yeah. If they're gonna try to do it after. I don't know. Because he's good, but he's just always hurt. Mhmm. Just not very reliable. Hard.
[00:16:34] Unknown:
Yeah. And Beed's out maybe out forever with the 70 sixers at least. Maybe gonna get medically retired.
[00:16:42] Unknown:
Yeah. That'd be nuts.
[00:16:44] Unknown:
Wouldn't be super surprising though either. I wonder how many people have been medically retired in the league.
[00:16:52] Unknown:
I'll check it out.
[00:16:55] Unknown:
But, I mean, clearly, I mean, whatever they've been trying to do along the way, they have not fixed the problem.
[00:17:03] Unknown:
No. Team is in absolute shambles. I mean, Paul George, who's been
[00:17:08] Unknown:
terrible this year, had this to say. Still had a chance to make a plan, push, to have the first three out of the break go go like this. I guess just how shocking, surprising, disappointing, whatever attitude you wanna put on it. I mean, it's all of it. You know? We
[00:17:24] Unknown:
regardless of who's playing, who's not playing, to have admirations or for this group to believe that we can be, not even, you know, to get to the playoffs, but make a push towards it. I mean, we're we've shown no sign of a team that will compete. And, you know, we just don't have, you know, the habits of a champion or a a playoff contingent team would have.
[00:17:53] Unknown:
Paul George never won a championship, so it's interesting to say that. Yeah. I think that was quite a bold statement out of him. And I was just, you know, a couple weeks ago, huge Paul George fan. I'm not not a fan. I just feel like maybe his per perspective's a little bit off because he's really not been doing that well. But he did stop his podcast to focus on the game, so maybe that will really help. I have no idea. I wonder how often he records.
[00:18:18] Unknown:
Yeah. He does a stop recording again in the gym. There's been actually some notable players who have been medically retired. Really? Tell me. Yep. Pistol P Maravich who played back in the eighties, he had surgeries and tendonitis in his knees, which really messed the back half of his career. He retired after the 1980 season. Penny Hardaway, played on the Orlando Magic with Shaq, was an all star for his first six years, and then knee injuries forced him to retire from the Miami Heat in 02/2008 after he couldn't return and set out the the season in 02/2007.
[00:19:03] Unknown:
I don't know either of them, but well, I mean, they were before my time. I I got some guys that you're gonna know. Oh, okay. I got some Oh, I was There's more. I'm sorry. I just got so distracted by the fact that we're not playing defense at all, and they're hitting every shot ever, and we should be up by a hundred. But okay. Keep going. Yeah. They're certainly not giving up.
[00:19:22] Unknown:
Chris Bosh.
[00:19:24] Unknown:
Oh, yeah. I know him.
[00:19:27] Unknown:
Yeah. I was saving kind of the the the better ones for the end. I wasn't gonna start off there. But, yeah, he was, you know, the member of maybe the original big three or at least when the Yeah. When the, term was coined for the heat. Mhmm. And it had to sit out the entire twenty sixteen, twenty seventeen season due to blood clots.
[00:19:48] Unknown:
Oh. Oh, yeah.
[00:19:50] Unknown:
Yeah. Not great. Bill Walton. Yep. Bill Walton. Shout out, Bill. Celtic absolute legend. He had ankle injuries. Mhmm. Retired in 1988 after missing the entire season. Mhmm. And last but certainly not least, Yao Ming who was dealing with lower leg and, foot injuries, kinda similar to Joel. He was seven foot five. Do you know Yao Ming? I think I know who he is. Yeah. Chinese basketball player who was just sensational, but he had to retire early, like I said, due to the lower body stuff. Yeah.
[00:20:26] Unknown:
I mean, I think it's like a a miracle to to play as much as these guys play.
[00:20:37] Unknown:
Yeah. Especially the bigs. Like, if you're a big and you have a long career,
[00:20:41] Unknown:
it's jumping straight up and down. Straight up and down.
[00:20:45] Unknown:
It's a lot. And Bosch too. I mean, with one b two, like, on all those flights that they're on. Yeah. So there's just the toll isn't even on the basketball court. It's off the court too with everything else that they have to do. So it's kinda crazy that these guys can't sustain for so long. Yeah. It's such a crazy life.
[00:21:02] Unknown:
Tired thinking about it. I mean, yeah, everybody knows how I feel about basketball and actually playing it. So You like to watch? I like to watch. I want nothing to do with playing basketball. I like to try to shoot out on the outside on our our, cold sack sometimes, but that's about it. Hit a couple buckets? Yeah. But, like, it's just annoying because, you know, I can't get it in, and I can't stop until I get it in. So I'm out there way longer than I wanna be just trying to get a basket because I can't stop
[00:21:41] Unknown:
when I haven't made a basket. So I'm out there for twenty minutes. I don't have a no idea. You're out there for two hours trying to get one bucket.
[00:21:48] Unknown:
I'm being a little, I'm being I'm exaggerating, but seriously.
[00:21:56] Unknown:
No. It's tough. Yeah. So I am gonna bring it back to the, to the go go for gold? What's the Netflix?
[00:22:11] Unknown:
Court of Gold. Court of Gold.
[00:22:14] Unknown:
Because I I'm gonna play it, but I'm gonna make it a little lower, and I'm just gonna read because it's still worth reading with how upset the Serbian team got when Kevin Durant went bananas. I think he went, like, seven for seven, nine for nine, something crazy against them. I'm gonna read the subtitles. Bro, if you have Adebayo at the corner, Durant is at 45. Don't effing stay on Adebayo if Durant is there. That's Jokic. The coach absolutely loses his mind. The best man on the court who shoots five for five three pointers, he comes and puts a ball through your hoop. Whom are you guarding? Whom are you guarding?
You're guarding him. You're not guarding anyone else. No other players of your concern. It was my bad. I should have assigned a different player to guard Durant. Yeah. That was that was like the dagger. I mean, that took my breath away when he said that. And I couldn't believe it. Turned it each way. I couldn't believe it. Yeah. That's as bad as it gets. Yeah. That was really wild. It was my somehow he he blamed himself
[00:23:30] Unknown:
and someone else. It's just so funny how different everyone is and coaches. It's just a wild a wild thing.
[00:23:40] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, I've certain we've seen our fair share of American coaches get upset and swear and do whatever, but just the way that He called him out. The way he said it was meaner than than swearing him up and down. It was so ruthless to do it like that. Yeah. Oh, so tough.
[00:24:03] Unknown:
But, yeah, I have to be How are these guys even doing the
[00:24:07] Unknown:
trailblazers? Oh, I think pretty terrible. Mhmm. They got, like, some decent young guys, but really bad.
[00:24:17] Unknown:
I should have brought water downstairs. I'm quite parched.
[00:24:22] Unknown:
Do I want to pause it? I already did it once.
[00:24:24] Unknown:
No. It's okay.
[00:24:25] Unknown:
We could just do five twelve minute segments.
[00:24:34] Unknown:
We are going to the OKC game. Go to the OKC game next week. Always say that we're going to games and then we don't go. This one,
[00:24:43] Unknown:
I'm sure we're going to. This one, we're going to. Shout out Greg for the invite. Very excited about that game. I know. That'll be really
[00:24:51] Unknown:
fun. I freaking hope they win, because this is exactly the game that we go to when they lose, but that wasn't very a positive thing of me to say. But
[00:25:03] Unknown:
Power positivity.
[00:25:05] Unknown:
Yeah.
[00:25:06] Unknown:
Also, I mean, we're gonna win this game. It's two minutes to go at ten, but feels like we should've won by 50. I know. I mean, there was one point where we're up by, like, 20. This is the first time in Celtic's history that a duo had 40 points each in a game. Wow. Shout out to Dey White and Prich. That's crazy.
[00:25:27] Unknown:
It is crazy. It's also crazy how, like, feeling's not oh, no. What happened to Sam? Oh, no. I think Sam just got hurt. Oh, no. No. His ankle. What the heck just happened?
[00:25:42] Unknown:
Oh, mother of pearl. Okay. He's jumping around. On it. He's jumping around. Maybe he just tweaked it. And, honestly, better to see that it's his ankle seemingly than, like, a knee or something. Oh, he's so tall. He's hobbled.
[00:25:55] Unknown:
Oh my god. Oh my goodness. Well, we're getting a lot of Celtics content, a lot of NBA content, but Celtics content with, Celtic City, which the first episode came out on HBO. It was pretty cool.
[00:26:18] Unknown:
It was sick. The the intro, the first three or four minutes was the best thing I've seen all year. Sound was like, this is this is we're only two minutes into this. This is the best thing I've ever seen in my life. I was ready to run through a wall. They loved it. He's walking better he's walking better as time goes on, but he looks upset.
[00:26:34] Unknown:
Oh, man. Well, we'll see what happens with that because I don't even know what happened on the play. It kinda looked non contact, which is a little worrisome. You know?
[00:26:43] Unknown:
Yeah. But he wasn't next to someone. Maybe he just stepped on his foot or something. Him, like, stepped on a foot and, like, tweaked his ankle.
[00:26:50] Unknown:
Maybe.
[00:26:52] Unknown:
But please, please don't be serious.
[00:26:56] Unknown:
Yeah. He just feels like he's been so hurt. Well, I just truly can't believe we didn't play Tory Greg at all. But, Salt Lake City, yeah, very good. I'm excited for the next episode. Leaving us hanging only once a week. But I kinda like once a week, though. Breaks it up a little. Oh, I think it's good. Yeah. I mean, I feel like you and I really wouldn't get through many more than one a week. I just maybe two, but
[00:27:27] Unknown:
it's hard. Yeah. I kinda like to space it out anyway. It's hard sometimes when everything's on, like Netflix or something. You want it, like, just automatically rolls into the next episode, but it's nice to have to wait, and then you kinda just piece it out week by week.
[00:27:43] Unknown:
Yeah. Hope we get some inside scoop. But, I mean, stuff I didn't know, you know, already, so it's cool. Just such different times back in the fifties.
[00:27:57] Unknown:
Yeah. Really wild to see. I mean, Bob Cousy, obviously, you know, need a Bill Russell to win a championship, but the guy was doing stuff that no one was even thinking about at that point. He was going behind the back. He's doing fake passes.
[00:28:11] Unknown:
It was wild to see. And Red Auerbach, I mean I I was just trying to picture, like, our guys back in that time and the stuff all the stuff that they had to deal with in, like, the fifties and sixties and stuff. And I was just trying to think of our players in that time period, and I couldn't. I just see Jalen getting really frustrated.
[00:28:35] Unknown:
Jalen be fighting everybody? Yeah. And too, Joe had a very great clip at the beginning of that. He made, obviously, just quite an appearance. A choice.
[00:28:45] Unknown:
You have to make fucking choices, and, like, winning is a choice. And too many times, we talk ourselves in and out of the things that we know are the most important thing.
[00:28:53] Unknown:
That's my coach.
[00:28:55] Unknown:
You know, he needs to watch his mouth a little bit.
[00:28:59] Unknown:
I mean, you know, kids, earmuffs, but
[00:29:02] Unknown:
it's grown men in professional sports. But very cool. I mean, very cool. He's he's and I don't disagree with him. I feel like almost everything in life is a choice. You gotta just choose to put your mind gotta put your mind to it. You know? Mind's a powerful tool. For sure.
[00:29:17] Unknown:
And I'll tell you what though too. So just, like, a a little toe dip into a thank goodness this guy is not my coach, and going back to how the Mavs are just an absolute mess. This was a few days ago. Jason Kidd throwing Klay Thompson the best tonight. Is there any reason or decision why you didn't get as much run-in the third quarter?
[00:29:39] Unknown:
Well, we're trying to get stops. It's something, you know, you you gotta figure out how to stop the the leak and, you know, they're scoring. We're we're having troubles, you know, stopping them. So we brought him and and PJ out and that's you know, PJ was done for tonight. And so just looking at, you know, our defense, we you know, guarding the three point line, we just did not do a good job tonight, and we have to be better.
[00:30:03] Unknown:
Oof. Maybe he sounds like he just wants to be out of there. They should forfeit the season. Don't you think? Just pack it up and go home. Mhmm. Alright. Jason Kidd seems like he's ready too. That guy is upset.
[00:30:16] Unknown:
If he didn't actually know about the trade and that just everything that's happened since that, I would be like, I'm out of here.
[00:30:26] Unknown:
Yeah. What am I doing here? Yeah. Why am I doing this? Sean,
[00:30:30] Unknown:
I'm, like, very scared you're gonna kick that cup over. I know it's covered, but we're good. I mean, if you say so, but many a times, we've not been good. Many a times, you've left a pen in their the pants. Oh, no. You're not. All the laundry. Not gonna do that to me. Many a times, we've forgotten many things.
[00:30:57] Unknown:
That's messed up. You know? So where are my clothes? I have probably, like, three to five times left a pen in my pocket that has got all over clothing in the dryer. Yeah. And it just happens that, like, it's, like,
[00:31:09] Unknown:
my stuff. I can't ruin that's get ruined because you, like, maybe have more dark stuff in there than me, but it's really fine. It's really not a big deal. It was just one of my favorite pair of sweatpants.
[00:31:23] Unknown:
Yeah. I threw them out. You threw them out? Yeah. In the beginning the first time. Yeah. I kept the ones that I just ruined. It's what it is.
[00:31:33] Unknown:
Yeah. We're gonna have to do some Post it notes. We still haven't done that, so it's just a tech ticking
[00:31:38] Unknown:
ticking time bomb. No. But I told you to. No. I'm a I'm a pencil guy now. There's no more pens. I'm done with pens. Okay. I was a pencil guy for a long time, and then I just kinda ran out of pencils, I guess. So I went to pens, but now I'm a pencil guy again.
[00:31:52] Unknown:
Alright. Well, if you need me to buy you more pencils so that you don't use pens, I will. Appreciate that. Well, this girl videoing, she looks like she's 12. That girl?
[00:32:04] Unknown:
She probably is.
[00:32:05] Unknown:
I don't know. Good for her.
[00:32:09] Unknown:
Get some nice cheap labor. Video on the games. Probably just wanted to do it for free. Mhmm.
[00:32:17] Unknown:
I would to go out on the court, obviously.
[00:32:22] Unknown:
That'd be pretty sick, actually.
[00:32:24] Unknown:
What are you looking up over there? What are you doing? Just trying to figure out where to go next. Oh, yeah. You look very.
[00:32:30] Unknown:
Well, I didn't know if I wanted to do another coach hate clip or not because we hit on this guy so much. But Steve Kerr. Steve Kerr. Okay. Yeah. So in the NBA, traveling happens. It kind of is what it is. They call it sometimes. A lot of times, you get kinda three steps, two and a half steps, and it just it's just such a loser mentality to bring things like this up to me. Why
[00:32:58] Unknown:
we're not teaching our our officials to call travel in this league? They do a great job. They work their tails off. They communicate well. But I see five, six travels a game that aren't called, grow up. We had four ourselves in Philadelphia. None of them were called, you know, it's a problem when there's, like, a hundred fans in the stands and every coach on the sidelines, you know, when I'm watching film and it's like everybody's doing that. I I don't under so everyone's seeing it. So we're clearly not teaching, as a league, our officials to look at the feet. And I'm not seeing it. I've made that clear to We know you're not seeing it. Not once. Hear from back from them after these comments, but for the good of the game, the entire game is based on footwork.
And, for the good of the game, we need to enforce,
[00:33:57] Unknown:
He's not going for the good of the game on us. Right? Well, I think that he said,
[00:34:01] Unknown:
I you know, we're not teaching our refs, which seems very derogatory, rude, degrading way to say it. We're not teaching our refs like they're little children. Yeah. But I think he's blaming on the league there where he's saying Yes. But The league does say that. He said it sounded so bad that he immediately was like, they're but they're doing a great job in all these other ways.
[00:34:30] Unknown:
Yeah. Because he knew he was gonna get fined.
[00:34:34] Unknown:
Did you see, that guy that I always ask you his name? What the heck is his name? He's, like, a contender for sixth man of the year, but he's not gonna be sixth man of the year on the Cavs.
[00:34:44] Unknown:
What the heck is his name? Troy? Alright. Hold on. Give me a second.
[00:34:51] Unknown:
We I No. I gotta On one episode, I asked you about 18 times what his name is, or maybe you weren't recording. But, how he said that the coaches I mean, the rest are doing such an awful job, in particular, Natalie. I wonder if he ever got fined. Ty Jerome. Ty Jerome. I said Troy. I feel like he didn't get fined, and I feel like he shouldn't get fined. Like, what maybe I should start interviewing the refs after the game.
[00:35:19] Unknown:
He did get fined $25,000 for criticizing the you can't it's just that's an automatic.
[00:35:24] Unknown:
You cannot criticize the officials. But even in an interview?
[00:35:28] Unknown:
Especially not in an interview. That's, like, number one. You can criticize them on the court. But I just or maybe get technical, but not in the media. How come you can't
[00:35:37] Unknown:
say anything? It's just a rule. Because if if it, now you know me. No one hates the rest more than me. I do get it to an extent, but That's all they would talk about. Not allowed to bring anything up. It's kind of crazy. It's kind of childish, but, I mean, I don't know.
[00:35:56] Unknown:
I mean, he said, yeah. I thought the refs were really bad tonight, especially Natalie. She was really bad. So when that stuff happens, they kind of lose control of the game. You have to keep your head I mean, I know it was bad. First half was ridiculous. The third quarter was horrendous, and you just gotta keep your head and keep playing. Yeah.
[00:36:14] Unknown:
I mean, that But I just hate how, like, you're not allowed to be held accountable. And, like
[00:36:21] Unknown:
Well, the the NBA does do, like, a two minute report. So at the end of the game, they will say, like, the refs got this wrong. You got all this shit. Oops. Sorry. You got all this stuff wrong. Oh, I got that out. Are you gonna get fined? Because you just
[00:36:34] Unknown:
cost these people the game?
[00:36:36] Unknown:
In a way. Fined? I don't know if they get fined, but they will get out. Like, pulled off games or, like, not assigned playoff games or Mhmm. That type of stuff. So it doesn't Natalie's not gonna get assigned a playoff game.
[00:36:50] Unknown:
Natalie's out. There's no way. Again, I just can't even imagine. I know maybe I should be more with the times. I cannot imagine being a woman reffing the NBA. Like, I would be freaking terrified. These guys are running a hundred miles an hour. They're double the size of me. Anything they say to me, I would be like, nope. You're right. You're right. I was wrong.
[00:37:18] Unknown:
That's so tough to be around. So intimidated.
[00:37:21] Unknown:
So I don't know. Hats off to them, but Natalie, I don't know if she's coming back next year. You think Natalie's done? I don't know. You think they're sending her out to Patrick? Exactly who she is, and she is the one that that huge, call with Embiid when the clip went up and she was like she took it back. She took, like, a flagrant pack or something like that, and he and she was, like, that was my bad. I f ed up. She went up to him. Do you know what I'm talking about?
[00:37:50] Unknown:
Yeah. That's Natalie. Are you sure? No. I don't think you I don't think you're right. Dang. Because I because I think the one the one who called the Embiid one was a blonde, and Natalie is absolutely not a blonde. Brunette.
[00:38:02] Unknown:
I don't know. I'm gonna find it. Oh, you know what? You're right, I think. Edit that all out.
[00:38:10] Unknown:
Yeah. No. Chelsea, I'm gonna clean all this up. You're not even gonna know.
[00:38:13] Unknown:
Yeah.
[00:38:15] Unknown:
Yeah. No. This this woman is very blonde too. Had the interaction with Tatum. Never mind. I mean, with Embiid. Never mind then. Yeah. But, I mean, either way, I'm certainly not gonna be out here criticizing the officials either. I don't wanna get fined, but
[00:38:34] Unknown:
They're not gonna fine us.
[00:38:36] Unknown:
You can say whatever you want. Yeah. I don't know. I it just seems like I'm not saying that there shouldn't be
[00:38:45] Unknown:
female refs in the game, but it feels like there were No. No. I'm not saying that. I'm saying, from my perspective, I could never.
[00:38:52] Unknown:
Well, I am saying is it feels like there are a lot of them making some big mistakes and getting heavily criticized by the players when they know that they're gonna get fined and they don't care. And you have to wonder Lack of respect. Lack of respect. Yeah. Or just like Trust. Are they there because they wanna say, oh, look. We have female refs, or are they there because they're the best of the best? And trust me, there are plenty of male refs that I can't stand that are the worst, that are criminals. But those are some very high profile moments. The NBA moment I mean, I can't even imagine a a male ref, which good on her that she came back and said, hey. I made a mistake and brought him back. But I literally can't fathom a ref another ref throwing someone out of the game and then bringing them back. That's preposterous.
Yeah. If it's that bad of a call, you shouldn't be allowed to be out there. You lost your mind. Yeah.
[00:39:45] Unknown:
That was really bad. She probably sat out for a while after that. That's just horrendous. Yeah. It's a hard it's a hard game. I don't know any of the rules. So hard.
[00:39:58] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You don't as you said before, you don't even know when a travel occurs. So I can't I've never once spotted a travel.
[00:40:06] Unknown:
And then how many times, like, we'll be watching a game or we'll be at a game and the whole crowd is like, oh, and I'm like, what?
[00:40:15] Unknown:
What happened? Like, what are they talking about?
[00:40:18] Unknown:
I'm watching the game. I don't know. Or, like, yeah, like, the collective travel. And I'm like, what?
[00:40:25] Unknown:
Where? What is that? Yeah. I don't know. They got Pritsch. Yeah. Of course. Pritsch is getting MVP chance.
[00:40:33] Unknown:
Good for him.
[00:40:35] Unknown:
Career high nine threes and 43 points.
[00:40:39] Unknown:
Aw. Good for him. I'm happy for him. He's a special dude.
[00:40:44] Unknown:
Oh, no. They got him with the water.
[00:40:46] Unknown:
Oh, man. They laid, like, three cups. No. That's fine. You don't wanna do too much. Or you can't out on the court either. Yeah. You don't wanna do too much. That was sweet. Aw, they're so sweet. Poor Abby in the crossfire. She didn't look she got wet. Oh, she looks okay. Maybe that's why they wanna stop. Tonight. Her hair looks good. Her blazer's fine. Yeah. Good choice. I just like when she keeps her hair down. Just keep your hair down. Do your loose waves. You don't need to do anything funky. Don't try to do too much. No.
[00:41:15] Unknown:
She looks good. Go with the basics. Mhmm. So, dude, obviously, great game. Pritchard stepped up. Tatum did not play tonight. And do you have thoughts on the whole Tatum can't be the face of the league, now all of a sudden it feels like the pendulum is swung in the other direction where people are putting on for Tatum? Yeah. The people are putting on for Tatum. I feel like finally,
[00:41:38] Unknown:
but it's very interesting. I and I don't understand. And I just wish that this wasn't even oh, look. Evan Turner. Is that Evan Turner? Yes. It is. Oh, I love that. Former Celtic coach. They're cute. That was, like, Don Luke is my favorite player. Yeah. Yeah. I, I don't know if we talked about this on the podcast or if I just said it recently that I just wish that whole conversation went out the window. It's, like, comical how they're trying to make Anthony Edwards the face of the league, and he has the most, text in the entire in the entire suspended for a game because he has no other text. It's just so funny. And, I mean, Tatum has a lot of text too. I mean, he's up there. I think he has nine.
But Yeah. But 16 are for Anthony Edwards. Tatum's are all from him freaking clapping when something happens. Yeah. He loves to do the clapping. It's not even, like it's so stupid. But from where I'm standing, if we have to talk about the face of the league, which I don't freaking understand why it's an even a freaking conversation, then he then, yes, he is the face of the league.
[00:42:51] Unknown:
And I think too it's one of those things where it's like there are faces of the league. I don't know that there's a face of the league. Yeah. There's, like, faces. There's for sure. There's faces. And he's clearly one of them. I don't understand how he's not. For Boston. Plays for the most storied franchise. Team. Yeah. Best player on the most storied franchise, and we won the championship last year. So it's kind of a no brainer. Yeah. He's top five in MVP voting, however you look at it. And I just feel like he's I don't know. I just feel like he's kind of the perfect candidate.
[00:43:19] Unknown:
You know? If like, he's kind of like
[00:43:25] Unknown:
a a golden boy a little bit. You know? Then you must have to wonder, like, why they're not pushing him, why they are pushing a guy like Anthony Edwards too. Mhmm. I know people hate on him. I'm a fan. I like him too. I just
[00:43:36] Unknown:
obviously, he's a little bit different. And he's so much younger, and he doesn't have half of the
[00:43:42] Unknown:
accolades that Tatum does. And And same thing too. They're like, oh, Wembe's gonna be the face of league. I'm like, why are we trying to make this Wembley thing? So he just started. Give him some time. He's fine. He's a good player. He's not Jayson Tatum. I don't know. I just don't I don't understand. I guess it's because LeBron's gonna retire, so they feel like they have to have this conversation. But Allegedly.
[00:44:02] Unknown:
But I just don't understand why it has to be a conversation all the time.
[00:44:07] Unknown:
No. It's kinda nuts. But, no, I'll just play one quick clip. I know he did on his own podcast, but he also went on first take. I mean, Gilbert Arenas is on the wall for our guy. And people covering the league every day, bleeping on the players. Okay. I got something. Go ahead. What do you think about him? All time great. Right. Duncan. All time great?
[00:44:33] Unknown:
Kobe. All time great. Giannis.
[00:44:37] Unknown:
Getting there. Okay. By the age of 26,
[00:44:40] Unknown:
those guys all had the resume of at least six all stars for all MBAs in a championship by the age of 26. Mhmm. What's your point? The face of the NBA has been here the whole time, Jayson Tatum. He's the fifth person on this list. Okay.
[00:45:01] Unknown:
Incredible.
[00:45:02] Unknown:
Wow. What's your point?
[00:45:04] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, it's no one more smug than Steven Banks. Else has a point besides you?
[00:45:09] Unknown:
Absolutely no one more smug than him. It's crazy. I don't even dislike him, but he's just annoying sometimes. Like, he's the only one that makes any sense in this world, sir.
[00:45:19] Unknown:
Yeah. He loves to hear himself talk. Yeah. It's crazy. That's that's also, I, I pull I found just happened upon this. It's it's pretty good, and it's,
[00:45:29] Unknown:
Tatum on the Jeff Teague podcast. It's definitely a throwback, but I hadn't seen it. And it's just kinda some funny back and forth banter. He came to the team. He didn't talk for the first, like, three weeks. I test people out, bro. Dark times, bro. And then one day this did not shut up. And we started shooting together, and I was beating him and shooting every time. Evan Turner said he whooped your ass one day and practice, and that's a one v one. I don't wanna dress a lot of things. And sometimes you just can't let people get away with lying. Tee wasn't I was starting at first. No. I was six man. Yeah. He was coming off the bench. Okay. He would win some spots. Like, if we played Yeah.
[00:46:10] Unknown:
Great thing about t Just some fun banter between the boys. I could listen I had watched that. I listened to that back in the day, but yeah. I could listen to Jeff Teague talk all day about anything. Yeah. He's very funny. So funny. So interesting.
[00:46:23] Unknown:
That's awesome. Anytime that I say very funny or, like, that's so funny, I just think of Talon now because he's constantly, like, that's so funny. That's so funny, mom.
[00:46:37] Unknown:
We're being so funny.
[00:46:39] Unknown:
I was being so funny. Yeah. But the way he says it is, like, funny.
[00:46:45] Unknown:
Like, away at the end. Just the way he says everything is crazy.
[00:46:48] Unknown:
So nuts the way he, like, just his little accents. I'm like, where did you even know how to do an accent?
[00:46:55] Unknown:
Yeah. Or even just, like, a big yeah. The garbage. I'm like, garbage. I say garbage. I'm like, why?
[00:47:04] Unknown:
Oh, gosh. Three is no joke.
[00:47:09] Unknown:
No. Talon's been crazy lately. Probably the funniest he's ever been, but the craziest he's ever been to it without a doubt. I don't even know what he was talking about in the card today,
[00:47:20] Unknown:
but he's talking to me about, you know, whatever he's seeing on the road, and and where is this and that. He's like, I got no clue where this where that is. And I'm like, it's just so funny. He just the little, like, phrases that he's adopting today. Like, he was holding the bagels to bring to my parents, and he's like, look at these bagels. These are gonna be awesome for them to eat. They are perfect. Like, what the heck?
[00:47:53] Unknown:
But, yeah, he's so funny. He was into those bagels.
[00:47:57] Unknown:
Well, he had about two full bagels today. So
[00:48:01] Unknown:
He mowed down that half of mine. Yeah. Because he ate pretty much the whole thing. That was just a classic example
[00:48:08] Unknown:
of what's been going on the last since he turned three.
[00:48:12] Unknown:
Sobbing, crying, climbing on the counter, clawing at the bagels.
[00:48:17] Unknown:
I don't want one, but I want one.
[00:48:20] Unknown:
Yeah. Like, all the time. I don't want it in the toaster, but I do want it, but I don't want it.
[00:48:26] Unknown:
I want butter, but I don't want butter.
[00:48:30] Unknown:
Yeah. Then I'm putting butter on it, but he wanted me to put it on right next to him, not on the
[00:48:35] Unknown:
couch. Yeah. It's a crazy town. Crazy.
[00:48:38] Unknown:
And how about two? I think since the last time we podcasted, he fell off his bed in the middle of the night.
[00:48:45] Unknown:
Yeah. Meanwhile, you were snoring while that happened. I know. Like, you didn't wake up. You were out. It's a good thing that you did.
[00:48:53] Unknown:
I know. I stayed up late, like, way later than normal,
[00:48:56] Unknown:
and then was And it's odd for us to not go to bed at the same time, but I was very, very tired, and I fell
[00:49:03] Unknown:
asleep. Yeah. I had a little cross I was catching up on, watching a couple games, and I popped on another one to, like, for the first quarter, which I wasn't even gonna do. And then as I was just about to start kinda nodding off, all of a sudden, I just heard. That was And
[00:49:19] Unknown:
the sound effects kinda fell fell flat there. And That was, like, better. And he had
[00:49:28] Unknown:
half his body still on the bed. He had his His legs. His legs and feet on the bed. Mhmm. And his it was kinda like his arms. Like, his head wasn't on the floor so much. Like, his arms were kind of just, like, propping him up, but he was passed out sound asleep. And then I had to I was just pulling back on the bed, and then just for an hour and a half to two hours, I laid next to his bed in a full blown panic wondering if he was okay. But I did wake him up. I said, tell him, are you good? He said, yeah. I'm good. And I was like, I don't know if I don't know if I should even trust this. To tell you. So
[00:50:01] Unknown:
he when he called me last night, it was, like, 2AM. Mommy. And it was, like, kind of a loud one. Do you remember? No. Okay. Well, it was, like, 2AM. He yelled my name just one time. But he, like, said it loud until I went upstairs, and he had his eyes closed. And I was I was, like, disoriented because I got up so fast because it was a loud mom. And, he's laying in bed, and I, like, couldn't tell how he was laying. I just saw his head, his face, and, like, his belly, and his belly looked huge. It looked distended. I was like, oh my god. What is wrong with him? Either his head is contorted so weird that that's not his belly. That is his belly, and we need to take him to the hospital.
And then I touched his belly, and it was extremely soft. And he put his hippo in his shirt last night. And so I took it out, and he was like, I wanted it there, mom. And then he fell back asleep, and I came downstairs.
[00:51:05] Unknown:
And you left it in the shirt? No. I couldn't.
[00:51:09] Unknown:
No. Yeah. But the other day, he told me that I wanted one of his bears wanted to rest in there. Yeah. And where? In his shirt. Oh. In his belly. On his belly or whatever.
[00:51:22] Unknown:
Yeah. Sometimes I get very particular about a certain one for the nighttime because when I It changes all the time, though, now. Oh, I know. Because I went up there. He was calling in the middle of the night for you, obviously. And then I went up there and say, oh, mom. I was like, oh, I'm here. And then he needed the brown, coolada koala, beanie baby. And then he had all the other ones that he was, like, laying on, and and then that one was tucked under the pillow. As soon as I gave it to him, he went right back to sleep. Mhmm. No problem at all.
[00:51:52] Unknown:
Yeah. That's always good. Otherwise, you've been sleeping on his floor.
[00:51:59] Unknown:
Yeah. A lot of nights on the pad on the floor.
[00:52:02] Unknown:
Yeah. Anyway, just like to share a little bit of talent every now and then because he's so funny.
[00:52:08] Unknown:
Just a little talent talk.
[00:52:10] Unknown:
Yeah. Talent talk. Celtics talk. Yep.
[00:52:17] Unknown:
Yeah. And to actually just to wrap up the talent talk, when your parents went with you to drop him at school, he left you high and dry.
[00:52:25] Unknown:
You can just leave mom. Yeah. So I always said, okay. Did that crush you, or you were fond of it? No. It made me laugh. I mean, it didn't crush me at all because I know how much he loves me. Oh, you're his rubber one. Yeah. But I think he was just so excited to show them around school. So he was like, I don't need you here, girl. He cried when they left. Yeah. He's like, I'm showing off here. And then miss Claudine was like, do you want me to do you wanna wave at the window? My mom was saying how how broke her heart because he was crying at the window saying bye. And I was like, yeah. It's heartbreaking. But he also is he's fine a couple minutes later. So Yeah. He's totally fine. Yeah.
But it's nice that he loves him so much. So
[00:53:09] Unknown:
Yeah. Thank God.
[00:53:12] Unknown:
Yeah. I guess we'll see what time tonight town decides he's gonna get up.
[00:53:16] Unknown:
Yeah. Because he didn't know after Me. Yeah. After the 2AM, though, then he did sleep until the morning. Right? He up early. Right at six. Yeah. He's pretty It was, like, 05:58.
[00:53:27] Unknown:
I had heard you getting up to go for a run, and I was like, you were trying to be so quiet. And I was like, I'm awake. In my head, I'm like, I'm awake. You just don't have to be so quiet. So I finally Could've just said it out loud. Turned around. No. I turned around to tell you, and I was like, you gotta be careful. I think I said be careful twice. You just said be careful twice. I was like, I will. I was like, what?
[00:53:46] Unknown:
Then you just hit me with the thumbs up.
[00:53:50] Unknown:
That is devastating, though, like, when you actually get up early and he was just like Yeah. Because I was gonna be like, well, I mean, I'm gonna get up. Seth's gonna get up early anyway, but it's nice getting up ahead of him just to get a couple things done anyway. But that's rare anymore. That's rare these days. No. You can't.
[00:54:09] Unknown:
It's so hard.
[00:54:11] Unknown:
Like, I I could get up earlier, I guess. I could get up at five or 05:30, but that seems a little aggressive.
[00:54:19] Unknown:
I know. Because I had alarm set for 05:30, five forty, and 05:50. Felt like Jonathan just going. Unless you do. I mean, I used to have those tendencies sometimes. Yeah. But But not like yeah. That was crazy. Yeah. Lately, I've been going more just, like, one, maybe two alarms, but usually just one. But I've been trying to get up, like, early early. Mhmm. And so I'm like, I need multiple. One is not enough if I'm gonna get up at five or 05:30. Yeah. And three wasn't enough because I get up at 05:58.
[00:54:48] Unknown:
Well, at least you got up, honey, and you went out there, and you ran 10 miles like a champion.
[00:54:54] Unknown:
I did get it done. I felt so tired today. I thought my legs were crushed.
[00:55:00] Unknown:
Yeah. I just felt tired. Period.
[00:55:04] Unknown:
Just overall exhausted?
[00:55:06] Unknown:
Yeah. For sure.
[00:55:08] Unknown:
Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. We'll see. Hopefully, sleep's till 06:30 tomorrow. That'd be wonderful.
[00:55:15] Unknown:
Yeah. Would.
[00:55:17] Unknown:
I'll take even just the 6AM not getting up in the middle of the night. For sure. Me too. Although last night, I either didn't know or I woke up and I thought
[00:55:27] Unknown:
that it was It was a weird one, because it wasn't like I think he was kinda dreaming calling for me, because his eyes were shut. He was breathing heavy. Like, he wasn't, like, as awake as he typically is. But TBD.
[00:55:46] Unknown:
TBD. Celtics, some fun games coming up. I mean, tomorrow, Philly. Ugh. Let me just we'll probably lose or something, but what a waste of time. Saturday against the Lakers who have shot up to number two
[00:55:58] Unknown:
in the West. Shot up there with Luka.
[00:56:01] Unknown:
Yeah. I mean, he hasn't even hit his final form either. I am kinda terrified of the Lakers now. And, also, I I saw something that since Chuck called JJ a dead man walking, they're, like, eighteen and seven.
[00:56:14] Unknown:
Wow. Yeah. So Chuck No. It's taken out. Wouldn't it be devastating if, like, it was, like, Lakers Celtics in the finals and we lost? How freaking devastating would that be? Don't even say that. That would be the worst thing to happen, I think. To lose to Luka
[00:56:30] Unknown:
and LeBron be the worst thing to happen. And Jade, that would be insufferable. Lakers, it just would be awful. I wouldn't watch the NBA until the season start. I wouldn't look at anything to do with the NBA until the season started again, and maybe even would have to start a few months in. Well, let's do that if that doesn't happen. No. Let's not even talk that into existence. Okay. I
[00:56:53] Unknown:
wonder if I wonder if the fans would like to see a Lakers Celtics final.
[00:56:59] Unknown:
It would be absolutely epic. The league would totally love it. Luka rematch, but on the Lakers, LeBron, JJ and Shoot. They're probably gonna make it happen sometime. They might. The script. JJ JJ and Joey are probably the two hottest young coaches in the league. Like, maybe they're not call him Joey. Joey.
[00:57:19] Unknown:
Okay.
[00:57:20] Unknown:
That's my coach. Okay. I'm on the wall for him. What do you mean? Joe. Joey.
[00:57:24] Unknown:
No. Move on. What do you mean? I don't wanna discuss it. What do you mean? I've got the ick. Don't call him Joey.
[00:57:31] Unknown:
I mean I'm sorry. Should we just should we just add to it?
[00:57:37] Unknown:
Alright. Moving on. It would be crazy.
[00:57:41] Unknown:
Yeah. Also, don't ever come at me about my coach like that again.
[00:57:44] Unknown:
Okay. Okay.
[00:57:47] Unknown:
Oh, just on the wall, I mean.
[00:57:49] Unknown:
Yeah. No. I I know.
[00:57:51] Unknown:
It's an informal relationship we have now. I feel like I really know the guy. You do. Went to the same high school. Yeah. He I'm telling you, if he saw me on the street and someone said, your life depends on knowing that man's name, he would say, take my kids. Take my life. Take everything I have because I have no idea. Well, probably won't that probably won't ever happen, so good for him. I don't think anyone's ever gonna throw his life just to know my name. Luckily for him. But yeah. Lakers, Celtics would be tragic. It would be great, but if we if we ever lost and just LeBron getting another one, it would be brutal to deal with.
He's already been awful. So annoying saying like, oh, yeah. I never wanted to be the face of the league. It's just I had to do it.
[00:58:45] Unknown:
That was so tough. Yeah. I'm ready for him to retire. It's just kinda one of those things. You know?
[00:58:52] Unknown:
I'm just ready. I could see if he won this year, him retiring. Mhmm. If he doesn't win, I don't see him retiring because Luke is there now, and Luke, he can kinda carry things. And Mhmm. JJ seems to know what he's doing. So Yeah. Interesting. Braun's, like, borderline riding coattails even though he's having, like, just an insane season at 40. It doesn't even make sense. Yeah. It's crazy.
[00:59:17] Unknown:
I guess we'll find out many weeks from now. I have to focus on lint and not eating any chocolate out of the chocolate dish.
[00:59:29] Unknown:
You're tightening it up? Yeah. Yeah. I don't think I mean, I haven't been going crazy on the chocolate dish. But
[00:59:37] Unknown:
I'm not either, but I just you know, we don't need it. Don't need it. I'm a be fine.
[00:59:43] Unknown:
Yeah. You did ask what day you could have the chocolate during Lent.
[00:59:49] Unknown:
I saw the adult check Yeah. Just in case of an emergency. Just in case you really need one? Mhmm.
[00:59:57] Unknown:
Do you have any other thoughts? Anything you wanna close on? Anything to wrap up with?
[01:00:04] Unknown:
Go Celtics.
[01:00:06] Unknown:
Go Celtics. Follow us on Celtics Talk. Send us a note. Be a fan. Tell someone you know. The number one way to spread a podcast is to just tell someone, hey. This is good. You would like it. If when you listen to this I hate to say it's so your head. Not you. Do you have any tunes you wanna you know?
[01:00:26] Unknown:
I was just thinking about what did they say? Like, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear because you were just saying the best way to spread the podcast.
[01:00:39] Unknown:
Are you gonna sing it, or are you just gonna No. I was just
[01:00:42] Unknown:
I was just thinking about that. And then it just made me think of Christmas songs, and I didn't sing, and
[01:00:48] Unknown:
next time. Next time. We'll plan a good one to sing next time. Okay. But, yeah, send us a note or, like I said, tell someone that you know. If you're listening to this if you're listening to it and we're talking about talent and you're like, oh, this person has a kid, they might like some of this content, send this to them. Tell them to listen to it. They might be our next biggest fan. We might be shouting them out next. We might be shouting you out next. We might never podcast again. We don't know. We're making it up as we go. We barely we barely got here today. Although, I'm glad we did it today and not tomorrow. Yeah. Every time we pay nows, you can play later. Yeah. I'm gonna play a lot tomorrow, I'm sure.
[01:01:27] Unknown:
During the Philly game. We're gonna be laying in bed. Gonna be chilling in bed watching them dismantle things. Lives. But, you know, this weekend, we might try to go on a date.
[01:01:37] Unknown:
Yeah. We have a little vacation coming up. What's the name of the place? A little recommendation from Chels? I think it's Den Den. Den Den is so good. Oh, yeah. Because we ate it before I had my line. I had the Den Den. I'm done done. Oh my gosh. Let's not let's not recall that. We got the takeout last time, but we're gonna try to go there because it's better there. Yeah. It's better if you go. Yeah. So I'll be I'll be done done this weekend.
[01:02:05] Unknown:
Okay. I'll be living it up living it up around here. Going crazy. Mhmm.
[01:02:12] Unknown:
Alright. This was fun. This was a good little chat. I did have an absolute debacle in the middle, but, again, gonna clean it up. No one's even gonna know. It's gonna be like it never happened. Alright. Alright. See you next time. Goodbye.
