Welcome to Cedar Park Local episode   number 28   for Tuesday, 09/23/2025.   MUD update number two.   I am Kasz Normandy, and this is the undisputed   number one local podcast in Cedar Park. The best source for your local news and views,   a place for your voice to be heard.   Well, dear listeners,   my education has   revealed some documents with respect to   not the best, spending of, taxpayer money.   I went over a couple of these things. It's not exhaustive. I didn't go down a rabbit hole. It is what it is. I'm trying my best to do my 5%,   civics contribution to this community. So   here is,   some of the stuff. We got,   Elizabeth Jones staying in a $500   a month   a month, $500   a night hotel.  

Christopher w Rocco   sending in a really low res invoice, you know, for $3,000   per,   information request. I expect at least,   mud to provide high res pictures   Unless it's Muducation uploading low res, in which case,   they need to up their game. But, I suspect this is just the way it is coming from the mud. Anyway,   there's a couple of things on the line there. That wasn't as interesting as the lodging, actually, which is another $460,   $4.58 something   for, mister Rocco. So that's $500   for, miss Jones,   $4.58   for   mister Rocco.   And then we got,   what do we got?  

It's a invoice for US domestic foreign protection   services LLC. It looks like they're not billing quite correctly. They build the mud for HOA meeting and they did it for four hours   when the meetings typically last, I guess, hour and a half according to the notes on my education.   This was   let's see here.   This was a one and a half hour meeting.   So,   you know, invoices   can have errors,   but, that doesn't mean the Mudd has to pay it. And that's where the problem lies. So this information is being brought to light on the Mudd Education website,   and and it's appreciated by me at least, and it should be by the rest of us. I haven't,   looked at there's more documents under on this,   latest,   installment,   by the education staff. But   but I,   I looked at these three things, and I thought it was worth sharing   on a mud update.  

And, yeah. It's if you wanna stay in a $500   a night hotel, you better be doing a fantastic job. That's the only circumstances I can accept that. You better be doing a great job   and and cutting out all the fraud, waste, and abuse. So if there's an invoice from,   from the security guy and to bill you for four hours instead of one and a half, you better catch that. That's the that's the high end level of,   of stewardship. I expect if you want to have high end level of hotel accommodations.   And that's my that's my bit. I didn't go down a rabbit hole. So I didn't check everything that was posted.   It doesn't look like the you know, the mud really needs to   put, like, a response   to Muducation's,   complaints and and,   and and allegations. And the things that Muducation points out, the mud really needs to   respond to these in writing on their website. That would be very helpful.  

I didn't see the recording for the meetings. I didn't attend it, and I'm waiting for the recording to come out so I can listen to it.   And and maybe some of the stuff was addressed there.   But it would be it would be very helpful to the residents if, there was a response on their website for me to look at and maybe share also.   On that note,   take care and,   remember that nothing so needs reforming   as other people's habits.   We are all, more than the worst things we've ever done.
