Kansas City, Missouri police have one suspect in custody in connection with a shooting on the street at 30 Third And Troost. 2 women were injured. They have been identified as 30 year old Joan Oglesby of 2139 East Fifteenth in Kansas City, And General Hospital lists her condition as critical with gunshot wounds in the chest and stomach. The other is identified as k Sue Hammond of 5814 Olive in Kansas City. Hospital Authorities say she is in fair condition with gunshot wounds in the pelvic area and right leg. The identity of the suspect in custody in connection with the incident is not known. Police are still investigating. A class action suit against the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Education and the Kansas City Teachers Union has been filed on the docket of US District Court Judge Elmo Hunter. The suit was filed on behalf of his sons by the father of two boys who attend Southwest High School, asking the judge to order schools opened and teachers to halt the strike. A hearing was set for April 25. Norman Hudson, president of the Kansas City Teachers Union, sits in jail tonight, his first in a ten day contempt of court sentence, and all negotiations between teachers and the board are being handled by a federal mediator.

Kansas City, Missouri police have one suspect in custody in connection with a shooting on the street at 30 Third And Troost. 2 women were injured. They have been identified as 30 year old Joan Oglesby of 2139 East Fifteenth in Kansas City, And General Hospital lists her condition as critical with gunshot wounds in the chest and stomach. The other is identified as k Sue Hammond of 5814 Olive in Kansas City. Hospital Authorities say she is in fair condition with gunshot wounds in the pelvic area and right leg. The identity of the suspect in custody in connection with the incident is not known. Police are still investigating. A class action suit against the Kansas City, Missouri Board of Education and the Kansas City Teachers Union has been filed on the docket of US District Court Judge Elmo Hunter. The suit was filed on behalf of his sons by the father of two boys who attend Southwest High School, asking the judge to order schools opened and teachers to halt the strike. A hearing was set for April 25. Norman Hudson, president of the Kansas City Teachers Union, sits in jail tonight, his first in a ten day contempt of court sentence, and all negotiations between teachers and the board are being handled by a federal mediator.
