The show’s creators were radio scripters Wilfred G. Moore and Robert M. Burtt. The story revolved around Captain Midnight, an intrepid aviator who faced off against the notorious villain Ivan Shark, an international criminal. Alongside Captain Midnight was his young ward, Chuck Ramsay, and the resourceful Patsy Donovan. Their adventures spanned the globe, taking them from pre-World War II intrigue to post-war mysteries. The show began as a syndicated serial in 1938, airing on Midwest stations like Chicago’s WGN. Later, it became part of the Mutual Broadcasting System and eventually moved to the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) in 1945.

As dawn breaks, Captain Midnight and Chuck take off in the new Tornado, followed by Steve in the Falcon. They plan to hide the Tornado at a secret location to keep it safe from their enemies. However, as they soar through the skies, they lose sight of Steve, raising concerns about his safety.
