[00:00:20] Cole McCormick:
Beautiful day to be alive, isn't it? Beautiful day in North Hollywood. We got the sun shining. A little overcast today, guys. It's, I'm feeling good. I got work later today. I'm feeling great. It's been a busy week. Valentine's week, dude. Let me tell you, Valentine's week in the restaurant
[00:00:37] Unknown:
sucks.
[00:00:38] Cole McCormick:
Like, I swear to God, it's terrible, dude. Like, it's so busy, so annoying. I I I'm getting good money though. Good money is coming my way, but just long hours, dude. Yesterday was, like, an 11 and a half hour day. Just me chopping potatoes, and just just prepping every everything dude. It was it was a lot, but we got through it. We're gonna do it all over again today, and I'm happy to be doing the podcast, man. Welcome to America Plus. This is where we get innovative narratives. We think differently about the world. We develop better narratives for a more beautiful world that our hearts know. It's possible, man. We're just trying to move through it. We're trying to just improve ourselves, improve Earth, dude.
And, today, what I wanna talk about is, dreams. So recently let me rewind it a little bit. If you remember a few weeks ago, I dropped weed. I stopped smoking weed in January, and with that, it was just an instinct. And with that, you always get these stories of people having super vivid dreams when they drop weed, and I was expecting it. I was ready for it. I didn't know when it would come about, and for the 1st 2 weeks or so, it really wasn't happening. I I was still not dreaming. It was very common for me when I was smoking weed to have no dreams. You know? I like, 0. Just black. It's just like I'm asleep, and then I wake up.
And, 2 weeks go go by, and I'm like, damn. Like, when am I gonna start dreaming, dude? Like, when am I gonna start having any dreams? And then it happened. Then I started dreaming. And just little splits. You know, like split seconds, just like random things. No real stories. No real nothing real to grab onto. Just like random moments. And, this begins I I I I have my dream journal. Well, not like a dream dream journal, but like I have my journals, and I wanted to share some of the dreams that I've had. I have 3 dreams that I wanted to share today, and I wanna discuss them a little bit, and I wanna just talk about what's the purpose of these?
How can we like, how can I I'm tapping into my subconscious when I dream? Right? The subconscious is becoming, like, in control. You know? I don't have that much understanding of what's happening during dreaming. I don't think anyone really does, you know. Scientists just say, we dream. Like, I don't there's no real science on this, to my understanding, But what I do know is that dreams are every person or mostly everyone has a dream, and growing up my mom was always interpreting her dreams. She kept the dream journal, and she would encourage me and my sisters to talk about our dreams and or or to write them down at least.
And so dreams have always been a part of me. They've always been something that I've been aware of, and we'll get into lucid dreaming in a bit, but what I wanna share is, the first real vivid dream that I had, coming off of weed was bad. It was, like, negative. It was scary. And so I wanna I I I wanna just read it here, and it happened on Valentine's day. The night right before Valentine's day, I wake up on Valentine's day with this horrific dream. So just not very loving, but Valentine's day was nice. It was a good week. It was a fun week for me and Shan. So here you go. On February 14th, I wrote this down.
Dreams are getting more vivid. Last night, I dreamt of a party in my building, my apartment building. Performers and singers on the roof. Then a guy my age came out of his apartment with a 22 gun. A a 22 caliber gun, and shot people. I stuck out my hand and wrestled the gun away. Then something happened with me and Shannon. She left for a reason. Moved in with some new guy 2 doors down. She was dressed in gray business pants, a black belt, black thick heels, and a tucked in blue blouse. Her hair was together, and she was upset at me for doing something, and we were talking about it. I was still worried about the gunman.
Her new man came inside. I was nervous. Then I woke up, I think. It's crazy, and then and then I just like The journal goes into like like my interpretation. It's crazy how waking up doesn't stop the emotions I feel during the dream. Lately, since dreaming since dreaming again, I feel nervous, embarrassed, fear, danger, loss, sad, confused, and upset. It takes me a bit to calm down my heart and come back to quote unquote reality. I will have better dreams. Ones that teach me, and show me new possibilities. I wonder if I I wonder if I learn to lucid dream, maybe I can go to space, and speak with my higher self. I have a sense I can choose my dreams. I wanna let go of fear and sadness.
Maybe these dreams are just showing me I am holding on. So that's the first dream I had, like, the first real official dream, and it was wild, dude. There was a there it was a mass shooting in my dream, dude. It's no good. And what do we do from that? And me and Shannon weren't doing very well. Like, it was just awkward. Just awkward. And even though, like, the week is fine, and, like, her and I have great communication, and, you know, it it what is the dream telling me? I don't fully know yet, you know, but ultimately what I was able to identify is like, wow. There's a lot of emotions in here. There's a lot of negative emotions inside of me, and that is what I was identifying as well on on marijuana, on cannabis. I was getting so wrapped up in these imaginary negative thoughts, you know, just like thoughts and scenarios that just were not happening, and I would I would focus on them, and I would like I would, like, just simmer in them and that's not healthy, you know.
And I want a better life. I don't and to have a better life is to think positively, and to live positively, and to love, and and to conjure up those emotions, you know? And so, ultimately, this first dream showed me that I'm holding on to things, and I need to I I I wanna use my dreams to recalibrate, and I don't fully know how to do that yet. But I have a sense, and I have an instinct to lean into that, and to try to dream better, to have the intention to dream better. And, what do you know? Without that, as soon as I said that, the next day, the very next day, I had another dream.
What was this dream on February 15th? I wrote down, I had a very good dream last night. The whole night was full of love. And this is after Valentine's Day. The whole night was full of love. My dream was I'm in the kitchen at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Then all of a sudden, Tom Cruise was filming in the walk in fridge. I was so excited to see him. He inspires me in real life. He talked to me in the dream. He said he would rather be making a movie than, and not whatever he was doing there. Like, he was filming some bullshit in the walk in. He was doing something weird in in the walk in fridge. And he he told me straight up, I'm so annoyed with this man. I'd rather be making a movie. And I told him, I make movies. He seemed really interested.
He pointed at my shirt and asked, do you know the number of your production? I said, I know the number on my shirt, but not production. I felt the number on my shirt was the number 33. He gave me a look of, figure it out, bro. Like, dude, you gotta, like, figure this shit out right now. Then he then he left to film a Superman movie wearing a Superman suit and Bumblebee wings. Random. I had a very vivid image of Tom Cruise in a Superman suit with bumblebee wings. The dream made me think about my biggest movie dream ever, to make a movie with Tom Cruise. That would be a peak experience. Yeah, man. So just thinking about that, reading that, and then I also wrote down like this the the this day also happened to come up during the week of Kanye's new album. I've been listening to Kanye's newest album, and I had this, like what was on my mind after this dream was I wanna get Kanye aware of value for value, and modern podcasting, and and just RSS feeds, and stuff like that, like, just random stuff like that. Okay?
So that's, like and I wrote down my 2 big dreams, make a movie with Tom Cruise, and get yay get yay on value for value. I think that'd be cool. And, that dream showed me, like, first of all, it's a more positive dream. Just happy. Happy to speak with Tom Cruise. Happy to vibe with him. He's he's in a similar space I am. Like, I'd rather be making a movie than chopping potatoes at Ruth's Chris. I'd rather be doing anything for 12 hours, then chopping potatoes at Ruth's Chris. So what does that show me, dude? Like my immediate interpretation is like, okay. Make sure Tom Cruise wasn't really Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise was a representation of my subconscious, and my subconscious was speaking to me what I've already been saying to myself for a long time now. Like, I'd rather be doing anything like that. I'd rather just do anything creative. I'd rather be making a movie than that than than in the kitchen, you know. Even though the kitchen is good, and the kitchen is like, I can see the positive attributes that the kitchen has been given me, and and just what the kitchen has shown me is that I can work.
I can work 11 hours straight. I can work 12 hours straight with with, like, barely a break. I don't take a break. I don't take a lunch at work. I just chop chop chop chop chop chop chop slice, like, batter up, like, I just do that. I I go for it.
[00:10:55] Unknown:
And,
[00:10:56] Cole McCormick:
there was the pa a happy dream. I was when I woke up, I was happy that I actually had some sort of a positive experience in a dream. And I wanna learn more about lucid dreaming because this goes into, like, the matrix, and some people talk about, like, practicing a sport within a lucid dream. You know? What can I practice in my dreams? You know? What if I could use my dreams to improve myself? You know? How would I go about that? What are the steps to do that? And I'm not sure if anyone really thinks about that, because so many people around me smoke weed, so many people don't have dreams, you know, or or they're not conscious of their dreams.
And so I'm walking down another little avenue that not many people are really aware of, and that brought me to the movie, Inception. I'm gonna I'm a I I got this clip from Inception here, and this is really important for, like like, this goes into what I'm going through this week, and just general manifestation, like how to manifest, how to live a good life, like what is life? We got a 2 minute clip of Leo explaining dreams.
[00:12:18] Unknown:
They say we only use a fraction of our brain's true potential. Now that's when we're awake. When we're asleep, our mind can do almost anything. Such as? Well, imagine you're designing a building. Right? You consciously create each aspect, but sometimes it feels like it's almost creating itself, if you know what I mean. Yeah. Yeah. Like I'm discovering it. Genuine inspiration. Right? Now in a dream, our mind continuously does this. We create and perceive our world simultaneously, and our mind does this so well that we don't even know what's happening. That allows us to get right in the middle of that process.
How? By taking over the creating part. Now this is where I need you. You create the world of the dream. We bring the subject into that dream, and they fill it with their subconscious.
[00:13:07] Unknown:
How could I ever acquire enough detail to make them think that it's reality? Well, dreams,
[00:13:13] Unknown:
they feel real while we're in them, right? It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange. Let me ask you a question. You never really remember the beginning of a dream, do you? You always wind up right in the middle of what's going on. I guess, yeah. So how did we end up here?
[00:13:32] Unknown:
Well, we just came from the,
[00:13:34] Unknown:
Think about it, Ariadne. How did you get here? Where are you right now? We're dreaming. You're actually in the middle of the workshop right now, sleeping. This is your first lesson in shared dreaming. Stay calm.
[00:13:53] Unknown:
Stay calm. The dream's collapsing. Oh my god. Boom. Boom. Boom. And then it's chaos. It's happening. The dream around us is falling apart. Oh my god. What are we doing?
[00:14:09] Cole McCormick:
What are we what's happening here? That's Inception, dude. Inception is, like, one of the best movies ever made by the master, Christopher Nolan, the legend, and I first of all, Inception has always been in my head. Right? If you've seen that film, I feel like it's it's one of those films that, like, is, just a part of the zeitgeist. It's just a part of, like, human consciousness almost. It's really just explaining dreams in such an entertaining way, and it explored it in such a fun way, and these messages and this, this this this like, what dreams are has always stuck with me, and he says Leo says something really interesting here, and I wanna bring it back, to the middle of that clip. A little 18 second here. Our mind continuously
[00:14:56] Unknown:
does this. We create and perceive our world simultaneously, and our mind does this so well that we don't even know what's happening.
[00:15:05] Cole McCormick:
That'll Our mind does it so well. We continuously create and perceive
[00:15:13] Unknown:
reality. Allows us to get right in the middle of that process. How? By taking over the creating part. Now, this is where I need you. Okay. So
[00:15:24] Cole McCormick:
here's a wild connection. Okay? When it comes to spirituality, and and looking at souls, and thinking about life, and bringing it bringing The Matrix, like, the movie The Matrix into it. There's always this this concept of you are the creator of your reality. The the reality that you choose to perceive is that reality, and there's connection with, like, the victim mentality. You know? If you are a person who continuously thinks that you are a victim to your environment, then that's who you are. You will always be that victim. And many successful people speak speak to this similar point. It and this goes into thinking about being successful, being rich, being loved, being powerful in whatever sense that means to you.
If you continue to perceive these things of yourself, that will then bring forth those things to you, or you will be able to see opportunities to lean into more. And, you know, that's a fact, you know? Like, the it's just a fact. If if the government's always seeking war, if the government always says that we're at war, then we are always at war. The government is always at war, you know? If you perceive your life to be to be in benefit of yourself, to be for you and not against you, then your life is for you. And you have that choice to create and perceive. It's always this it's this loop. It's this cycle, and you're in the middle of it. You get caught in the middle of it. And the point of this is there's an opportunity to actually identify you're in the middle of it, and to take hold, to grab onto both of those things, to grab onto the creation, and to grab on the perception, and to and to wield those two things consciously.
And I I barely have experienced that. I I I have a minuscule amount of experience with that, but I see that opportunity and I see that truth. If you choose to perceive that god made everything, then God is everything. You know what I mean? Like, if you perceive the world as negative, if the world is broken, then that is how the world is. It's all about choice. It's about your perception. It's about your perception. And this brings me to my last dream, or to my most recent dream that I that I wrote down. This is from just a couple days ago yesterday. I wrote this down yesterday. This last dream I had that I wanna share is it was again, it was it was another positive one, but it was also very interesting.
My dream last night was long. I was running around and through an apartment building looking for something. Doors were locked. People had to help me. I hugged a lot of people who helped me. It was a pleasant dream. Then it transitioned to some to the same or a similar building, and this was my parents new home. I was on a trip with Shannon. My, my my parents current friends were there too. They showed me this ginormous field, which was a mix of my childhood backyard and past school fields. I stood there with my dad and, and and we were happy.
Many people and kids were playing, Then I had to go and catch a flight back to LA after, like, 10 minutes of being there. I saw Wyatt, my nephew, crying about it. I told him I was sad too, which is how I always feel when I have to leave, home. Then I was running around, trying to get something, and and we were running late. My grandma Peggy drove us to the airport, and it was just a few more scenes of, of inside the elevator and seeing people. And for some reason, the location felt like Idaho, and then I woke up. And, you know, random ashtrayming, you know.
And the image that comes to me most is that scene of me looking or being in the field, in this ginormous field. I see so when I was growing up, I had a trampoline in my backyard, and and I see that trampoline in one area. I see another goal post from my elementary school, and this field is just it's it's an enormous field. It's just you can see all of it, but it's just ginormous, you know? And I'm just standing there with my dad, just happy just happy to be there, happy that he's there, and, you know, what what does that mean? I I don't have a meaning for that, but what I do have is this week I was able to gain more control over my dreams.
I wanna go I I I want to assume that I was able to manifest better dreams because that was my intention. I my intention with stopping weed is to try to balance out my emotions, balance out my mental state. Try to, recalibrate and straighten out my mental state. And each dream that I have, it's showing me more and more details. It's showing me how much control I can actually have, and I I feel like so many people have these dreams of, like, running around. Like you're oh, I was, like, sprinting around this apartment, I don't even know what I was looking for. I was just running around looking for someone or something, and, I remember this, there's, like, this, like, this black woman, like, unlocked a door for me, and I gave her a hug.
And I don't I don't think I've ever seen her before, but I I I I remember her face. Like, I can see her in the dream right now. And, just these things like that, like, what is a dream? What is a dream? You know? There's no real answer for that. All I have are my own interpretations. All I have are my own experience, and what this is all leading up to, and the conclusion of all this is I wanna lean deeper into lucid dreaming, and I really wanna get better at managing issues in my life in my dreams. Can I create a safe space for myself to manage stress and emotions inside of my dreams? Is that possible?
Can I practice something inside of my dreams? Can I think better in my dreams? Can I access something higher than myself in my dreams? This is where I'm leaning into. And so I'm gonna go down this little rabbit hole of lucid dreaming. Maybe I'll read some books. Maybe I'll listen to some podcasts. Maybe I'll try to figure out, like, what would be the best route for myself, because I don't wanna just do it for shits and giggles, you know? I don't wanna just I mean, sure. I wanna fly in a dream, like, I and I have flown before in a dream, but I what if I could choose to fly, you know. Like, what would that feel like? What would that be like?
And can I just explore more of my subconscious and of myself? They always say to do like, you gotta do the work. If you wanna the the, on the spectrum of, of being a good person, you know, you've got you've got the super spiritual people saying, you need to do the inner work. You need to do the inner, the inner soul. You need to do the inner, like, you need to go into your 3rd eye, and you gotta do that. Or if you're on the other side, like, some, like, super woke activist, you know, some anti racist activist, they're always like, you you need to do the work. You know?
And, it's like it's like both sides of the spectrum are telling you, like, it's about the inside of yourself. It's about going to the inside of your mind, going to the inside of your subconscious, looking deeply within yourself, and straightening yourself out. And that's the same thing Jesus said. That's the same thing, the Hindu say. That's the same thing that that the Buddhist say, like, you must choose to go to the inside and face your fear, and look at the darkness in you, and learn to integrate, learn to live with it, learn to learn to control that darkness, you know.
Right now, I'm reminded of a Star Wars episode. Star Wars The Clone Wars. There I think I I believe this is this is in season 6. There's this really mystical episode with the character Yoda, and and Yoda goes on this massive journey, to this super distant planet, and he meets these beings of the force. And, you know, Yoda in this time, you know, he is like the master Jedi. He's a 1000 years old. He's 900 years old. And so, usually, when there there's, like, an assumption of the master that the master doesn't need to learn more, But Yoda is on this path, and these beings of the force tell him there is more to learn.
There is more to master. And they bring Yoda to this through this journey of him dealing with his shadow. There's, like, this, like, super dark side shadow creature version of Yoda that he has to fight, and at the end of it, he learns that, you know, he doesn't need to fight this. He doesn't need to he should not hate this dark side of him, because everyone around him who falls to the dark side is due to their hatred of something. Their hatred of of something in their own life. And Yoda was shown that the hatred of his own darkness can lead to his own blindness, and and then he would be living in darkness. And and and what he does is he stops fighting it, and he starts to love.
He accepts his dark side. He accepts this darkness that is a part of him, and, you know, it, the episode ends with him, like, growing and and and shooting off into the sunset, and and and going back home and stuff, and and and that's Yoda. You know? Yoda had this massive journey that he had to go on at 900 years old, so there is always more to learn, dude. There's always more to learn, and that's what I'm tapping into. And I think more people should tap into it. If we want a more beautiful world, you need to make the personal choice to tap into yourself, and to identify and love and integrate the negativity in your life, the negativity in yourself, maybe there's judgment in myself.
Maybe these dreams are showing me that I'm judging myself too much, or I'm holding like, maybe I have some sort of guilt of of letting go of these negative emotions, you know. I'm just thinking out loud right now. I'm still going through this, But the dreams are showing me something about the dark side of my of my psyche, and there is a choice to be made about these things. And so long story short, dude, like, we gotta just figure this out. I gotta figure it out. Like, come on, man. Like, I wish I could show you the look that Tom Cruise gave me in that one dream. Like, it was like a, come on, man. Like, come on, broski. Like, figure it out, dude. Like, there's nothing else to do. There's nothing else to do. So, yeah, man. That's all I got really. That's the value I have, folks. That's the value. We're gonna head on into the value for value section, the boostagrams, everyone. America Plus is a value for value show. What that means is I bring this content upfront, and I want to present to you what I think is valuable to the world, and you're able to reciprocate that through multiple ways.
There's 4 main ways that you can reciprocate the value, of the show. You can listen, clip, follow what did I write down a few days ago? You can listen clip, Listen. Share, clip, and boost. That's how you can do it. Listening to the show is valuable. Sharing the show, sharing the podcast is valuable. It's as equal as money, honestly. Just talking about America Plus, talking about these concepts. You can clip the show whether whether that's in the fountain dot f m app. Go to value for value dot info for more info, then download the fountain.fm app. It's the best way to support the show. Fountain is one of my favorite podcasting 2.0 apps. You're able to clip episodes.
You can, send me a boostagram with a message. A boostagram is a message. I'm about to be reading the boostograms right now from last week. We got a couple people, sending in satoshis, just little bits of bitcoin, who these people saw some value in the show last week. And I really encourage you to do this. There's also a PayPal. If you wanna send me normal dollars, PayPal is another great way to send me value. You know, communicate the value. Share value with each other. This new ecosystem is about engaging with one another, with what you have to offer, and, you know, these messages, these dreams is what I have to offer, and these boostograms are what the audience has to offer. I just want to give a quick shout out to, at saintsandsats.
Atsaintandsats. What up dude? Thank you for sending in, he was streaming in some sats, so thank you so much for streaming. And, the boostagram's come in from our very good friend, Joel w. He had he had 3 messages he wanted to say to send in. He sent in a, total, he sent in over 3,333 sats, so thank you very much, Joel, for that. Boosting is loving. That's a that's so many satoshis, And, the first thing he wanted us to tell me is, so last week I was talking about, Christianity, the origins of Christianity, and doctrine, and the narratives within that world.
The first thing he wanted to say is with the satchel of Richards, a 1,111 sat, He says, you may find this useful in your Christianity dive. The hosts understand Hebrew and ancient Greek, and get into what the or original text actually contain. They have an RSS feed and YouTube channel, and this website, he sends he sends a link, it's called expedition 44.com, and he says, and or part of a collective, no king, but christnetwork.com. So that's interesting. Joel, thank you very much. Again, boost. Yeah. I checked out this website pretty much last week I was talking about how, like, what would happen if you just focused on the red words in the Bible? What would happen to your faith in life if you got rid of all the all the church doctrine and only focused on what g whoops.
Only focused on what Jesus taught and said, like, how would that change things? And so, maybe I'll be leaning into this more, Joel. Thank you very much. And then the next one he says, I shared a tweet last week. He he loved that tweet. He says, great tweet. Fire emoji. Hell, yeah. Again Boost. Thank you very much, Joel. And, this last one from Joel, he's commenting on the song that I played last week. I played the song from Aniad Malle called Fly. He said, that Anid track is a banger. Amazing voice. Just happened to hear it earlier today on one of the music podcasts. Three flame emojis.
Thank you very much, Joel.

And now, as the French say, it is time for Le Boost.
[00:32:11] Cole McCormick:
You can be a part of the America Plus community by sending in a boostagram, sending in a PayPal. Just sharing the value in any way you can. My main social media is Twitter. I'm posting more on Instagram as well. You can follow me at at Cole McCormick 1. I'm really leaning into just posting a bit more about the show, just because, like, all the social medias are free, you know, so why not just use a free resource to promote myself, and try and get better at promoting myself. So follow me on those socials, share share my posts, share the show, you know, just it's value for value dog.
And, Yeah. Those are the Boostagrams of the week. It's a beautiful time to be alive. It it really is. I love Boostagrams. This is innovative. This is the most innovative system on Earth right now. It's a completely new system, and, if you didn't know, I mentioned the song. I played a song last week. I'm playing a song this week. I wanna wrap it up. I'm gonna wrap this week up with a song. This is this song's legit. Okay? This is So America Plus. This is, it's an independent song from this heavy metal band, dude, or just rock and roll, dude. We're rocking, we're rolling. We are, we're going for it this week, guys. Every time I play a song, if you notice, the artist is always getting 60% of the value, coming in from from Fat One and from podcasting 2.0 apps. So anytime you hear a song, they are always getting a 60% split, and like that's that's why it's innovative because I'm actually able to play an artist song, and and and give them money. Give give them an opportunity to get more money for their art. So this is this is amazing. Like, this is value for value.
Coming in from I r IROH, this is in exile. Enjoy. I could

Enjoy. I could
