Dude, this is what I wanted. It'll come up. Yes. And Holy crap. What's up, everyone? It's America Plus. I'm your host, Colm McCormick. It's another week, another episode. What's going on, everybody? It's January. Happy New Year, everybody. January 7th at 601 in the PM, everyone. Welcome To America plus. Beautifully to be alive, folks. We're, we're recording, filming. I'm not even, filming video. We are recording here In North Hollywood, California, in my kitchen, it's evening. The sun has set, and, I wanted to just hang out today, man. I, January 7th, it's been a nice, time, to be working. It's been a nice time to just like, there's always these New Year's vibes, like these, Like, New Year's post Christmas, relaxation.
Like, there's not a lot of work going on. You know? You maybe you are working, but, Hopefully, there's some less stress. You know? Like, I don't know. That's how I feel, or at least that's been my last, like, few weeks anyway. And, so I'm in a good mood this New Year. And, I wanted to just do a couple different things. And this isn't gonna be permanent, you know, but I am just doing small experiments with the show. How do I wanna express myself, man? What is America plus? How can we just, cement our hearts and minds in healthier narratives? And one of the best ways to do that is to just Relax.
You know, to physically relax yourself. A healthy narrative is to just Be calm, and I'm coming to you off of a few or a couple weeks. I'll say I'll say 3 weeks of, You know, just not being that super disciplined with diet and exercise. You know? It's one of those things where I'd I've been doing, like, these 15 minute exercises before I go to work. You know? But nothing else. Even on my days off, I've been having issues With motivation to do workouts, to have interest in workouts, To want to feel that. You know? I'm not sure if it's like a weird depression, seasonal depression, even though I'm in SoCal. It's it's always sunny over here. It has been raining a bit more. You know, I think the weather does affect my mood, and it does affect my, like, like, how I wanna move through the world.
So it has been rainy. Oh, I've been deal here's what I've been dealing with, dude. The last few weeks, I've been dealing with a freaking leak, or or the last 2 weeks, I should say. There's a leak in my apartment, dawg. 2 doors down from me in my in my building. This guy has been having, issues with his pipes for, like, years, dude. And they've come in, and they've fixed the leak, and the leak started again and all this stuff. And Most recently, his place flooded. Like, the leak just, like, burst. Like, his pipes burst in there. And, he had to go away for to a hotel, and they had got it and they're still fixing his place right now.
And That's 2 doors down for me. Next door to him, the people are having issues as well. And now I'm, like, the 3rd door. I'm lucky door number 3, and we're, like we had to remove the entire TV. We had to remove the entire like Like, almost a third of the apartment is, like, now rearranged, and it just looks like a mess. Like, it looks like we're, like, half moving, half moving in, half moving out, half moving in. And it just looks weird. I like where the TV is now, but I don't want it there permanently. It's just, like, weird, like, We had to, like, just not be comfortable in the beginning of the new year. It it it's one of those weird scenarios right now.
Coming in a time when usually you wanna discuss things like New Year's resolutions and goals, and you wanna think about what you wanna manifest For the year or what you wanna manifest for your life, you know, what are your big ideas. You know, this is a time to sorta do a refresh and sorta do a rethink. You know, go back to the board sort of sing sort of think. And we had to remove me and Shannon, they were just, like, dealing with this leak and, like, The floor's dirty. The floor's wet. You know, it's like, oh, and we're sick. Like, I I was getting over, like, a cold. Shannon's getting over, like, a cold.
You know, it totally seasonal. Right? Like, just general shit. But just going through that. Just living through that. It's making me laugh just thinking about it. I didn't realize how much of a sequence it was, like, in the last 10 10 days. I've been sick. We got this leak. I put out a movie. Like, it it's it's been a wild, wild time, guys. Wild time. What you heard in the intro was my interview with Kyron Down. What? I was on a I was on another podcast. I got interviewed on Kyran Downes' mere mortals conversations podcast, And, you should go, go check that out. That's linked right now. It was a 2 hour conversation with Kyron, and, it was incredible practice for me to to to be in interviews. I was incredibly nervous.
Karen can tell you. I was, like, insanely nervous. I, like, Stopped mid answer in the very beginning. Luckily, he edited me to make me look good, but I was just nervous to do another person's podcast. I've I've I've never been a guest On a person's podcast. So thank you, Kyron, for allowing me to have my 1st sort of guest experience or my 1st, like, long form guest experience. That's really cool. Please go listen to that conversation. I thought that was great. You get a great in-depth, view of, like, my life, my upbringing, what inspires me. You know, I'm able to discuss certain topics in a different light, and that's what Kyron is able to to bring out of these conversations with his show. So he really puts out a really valuable thing. So he he got something interesting out of me is what I wanna say.
So go listen to that, man, Which just lines up with, like, the insanity of the last 10 days. I re we recorded that before the New Year. We recorded that right after I released the short film magic mushroom fun time, which you can listen to and which you can watch right now In a podcasting app, if if you have a modern podcast app, if you're in Podverse or, podcast guru, You're able to see the video, and you're able to boost my short film, which is insane. But pretty much we talked about that. We talked about the innovation around that, And, just thinking about that, man, like, what else do I wanna accomplish? I'm sort of riding the coattails of this thing, like, just, like, in my own head. I feel like I'm, like, been doing the premiere in in interviews, and, whenever you look up Hollywood people promoting their movie, you know, it it's always work. You know?
And but there also seems to be like a, a side of vacation. You know? Sometimes these people are in Venice promoting a movie. You know, like, I know that you might be up for, like, 14 hours, but could you just like like, you're still in Venice. You know? Like, there like, there's a side of Promotion that, that is vacation. And I've sort of been in in vacation mode, the last week and a half, the last 10 days. And I've been enjoying it. And, but I'm not gonna be like that forever. Tomorrow changes things, man. We're going forward. We're going hard.
We're tightening up the diet. You know? No more alcohol. I've had way too much alcohol. I had 2 meals last night. Shannon and I went out. We saw a movie. We saw Wonka. I had 2 mules. Do do you know what a mule is or some it's tequila, dude. Tequila with some lime and some Sprite. It's good, dude. Those really get me going. And we saw a fun movie, and now I'm just I gotta say I I gotta step back. I gotta say, okay. No more. No more champagne. Thank you for the champagne. No more mules. No more no more twisted teas, and we gotta do the animal based. I'm, really going in on the organ pills.
This New Year's, I'm starting off my New Year's right with, Paul Saladino's organ supplements. It's these freeze dried organ pills. My dad's taking them. I'm taking them. I like them. I I have a good, a a good reaction. I feel more energy. I'm not tired After the energy. I'm sorry. I'm not tired after a long day, and I have energy. So I I feel blessed for that. This is getting to a point where I want to, You know, I wanna win this year, so I wanna be the best that I can. I wanna be the very, very, very best. And how can I do that? Just gonna tighten in the diet. You gotta just be more consistent. You gotta and I go through this every year. I go through this every single year, And, we'll see if any if we'll see if anything changes this year.
Probably not. Probably not. What I wanna do right now, guys, I wanna pull up a song. This song is okay. Where's it at? Where's it at? This song is really good. This is coming from a a person named Beaufie. This is called Alive, everybody. Check this out. Where are you
[00:10:16] Unknown:

[00:12:53] Unknown:
That was Beau with alive, everybody. Round of applause for Beaufie. Yeah, baby. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much.
[00:13:02] Unknown:
Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen, for that. Beaufie. I like that vibe, dude. I like that vibe, dude. Thank you very much for that, dude. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Something you should know about the show is that whenever you hear a song, 60% of, your support, goes straight, directly to the artist when you hear a song. That's The innovation going on with podcasting 2 point o, America Plus. One of the better narratives that we're leaning into is This idea of value for value, the system of value for value. And what that system is is It's an interaction between you and I, and you're able to put the value on the art that you are receiving, on the communication that you're hearing. You're really able to just tell me what this time is worth to you. Right now, I think this is, I think the vibe is just like a New Year's vibe, like a New Year's hangout. Like, let's just relax. We're on vacation. Like, come on, man. Like, let's just listen to some music to calm down a bit. Like, what's this time worth to you right now?
And and then a part of it is is I make certain other things for you to vibe with. I make a short film for you to boost. I make a podcast for you to boost. I do an interview for you to boost. Whatever. Value for value is I put my heart and soul into what I wanna do, and you're able to put value on that. You show me the value. And what we're gonna do now so, that was going on into the boostograms, everybody. We are going on To, the last week's episode. Last week was number 103. Can you believe that? One03. We are moving on, like, Like, can you believe we're almost at 200?
We're so close to 200. We're almost there. Alright. Let me scroll to the show real quick. I don't know where it's at. Here we go. So last week was, reflecting on 2023 goals and achievements, And, I didn't, like, achieve a lot of things, but I achieved what I wanted to. And I achieved the most important things. And what I got here are, 2 of the biggest supporters of America Plus right now, and you can be a part of this group if you if you so choose. The 1st boostogram. So a boostogram is when somebody sends in satoshis on a modern podcasting app. That's one way of value for value. There's, like, There's many ways that you can engage with value for value. This is one of them, one of the best ways.
The the first one comes in from, at mere mortals, the the mere mortal podcast. We got Tyrone down, coming in with a satchel of Richards, 1,111 sets. He had to say about my goals. He said, love this. I'm always fascinated by hearing people's goals and reflecting on where they did And didn't do well. I also got, defeated on self hosting a node slash podcast, but I think we've both taken strides towards that that the ideal. Parentheses, moving to better hosts and getting comfortable using lightning. Yes. Was a pleasure to was a pleasure to be Pod Pals. LOL. Yeah. I'm never gonna use Pod Pals again. I don't Pod Pals?
I don't I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. I said it. It's silly. Pod pals, it's a funny joke. Well, maybe it's a maybe it's a private joke. LOL. And and, and I'm honored to squash that other pretender pal into the dust. 2024 is going to be epic. Yes, sir. Boosting is loving. Go to value for value dot info for more info, then download the fountain dot f m app. It's the best way to support the show. Thank you so much for, that mere mortals. Thank you so much, Kyren. Go listen to the mere mortals mere mortals Podcast. It's phenomenal. And also listen to the book reviews. I do voice acting on the book reviews podcast. It's that's really fun.
This next one comes in from Joel at Joel w. He sends in another satchel of Richards, 1,111. And he says, Magic mushroom fun time was dope as fuck. Nailed the vibe beautifully. Yeah.
[00:17:09] Unknown:
And now as the French say, It is time for the boost.
[00:17:15] Unknown:
Thanks, Joel. Joel, you're the guy, dude. I, when it comes to promoting the movie, when it comes to showing people the movie, You know, the the people who you expect, who should support it, you know, like my parents. Like, they liked it. My parents said good job to me on it. I showed it to to one of my managers at work. They did not like it. They did not vibe with it at all. This guy just I don't know what this guy's problem was. But, it it's just interesting to see who likes it and who doesn't. And, Joel, I see your comment here on no agenda tube. Joel had to comment.
So first of all, Joel boosted the movie On, I'm not sure from what app, but he boosted it. So thank you for that boost for the movie, dude. That's that's value for value cinema. That's incredible. Thank you for engaging in history. And he had to say, had no idea what to expect. So this is his review. Had no idea what to expect, but this was amazing. Great visuals. The song just fit. Where to get a good tripping vibe conveyed in video, But this nailed it, bro. Well done. PS, y'all doing the robot was an extra bonus. Yes, dude. Boost. Thank you so much, Joel. Again, thank you for vibing with the movie. Just thank you for enjoying it. I appreciate that. I feel that love. I feel that value.
And, Kyron also, did did did, Kyron sent in something as well. Like, this is just flowing, dude. Like, the the America Plus community, we're flowing. We are flowing. We are bringing in this new world, this new beautiful world that all of our hearts know is possible. It's a wild time to be alive. It's 2024. People are expecting a lot of different things to happen this year. We got an election this year. We got people predicting chaos. We got people predicting love. We got people predicting civil war. We got people predicting, the rapture, we have people predicting an entire shift of humanity to a higher dimension.
This is Getting weirder and weirder, and I just wanna be honest with the weirdness of it all. Okay? So that's something you can expect moving forward. I will always acknowledge the weirdness of this life and the funniness of this reality that that we call duality. This is This is it, man. This is it. Here I stand. Talking about movies. I saw Wonka last night. Wonka was good. If you're in the mood for a fun movie, if you're in the mood for a positive film, this is one of those movies that, you know, there's no woke. Okay? So that's a good thing all on itself. Tim, the main actor who played Willy Wonka, he was really good. His name is Timothy or Timmote.
It's Chalamet. Chalamet. He was in some Martin Scorsese commercial. He was also in oh, he's in Dune. He's like the kid in Dune. He's really good, and he's really wonka. He's, like, super happy, and he, like, he has this whole connection with his dead mom, and, like, he's doing chocolate for his mom. And, he has to break into the chocolate mafia, the chocolate cartel, these 3 chocolate tycoons. They got a they they own the corner. They own the entire town. They're paying off the cops with chocolate. The cops keep getting fatter because they keep Eating chocolate. It's just a really silly movie. And, if you're in the mood for silly and happy and fun And music, it is a musical, by the way. There's a lot of music. A lot more music than the original.
The interesting thing about this new Wonka film Is it vaguely connects to the original in the seventies. And what I mean by that is it's not connected at all, But they took elements from that original, and they're vaguely connecting Timothee Chalamet. Timothee Chalamet. And, and I'm saying because that's what me and Shannon call him. I think that's just, like is, like, French the French way to say his name because he's French or something. So her and I privately we say, which is just like it's like our little joke. It's our it's like our little meme of him. So that's why I'm saying that that way. But, They also took the, like, main song from the original, like, the imagination song. Like, come with me, And you'll sing a world. You know, like, that whole thing? They took that song. They repurposed it. They took certain elements. He's like a younger version of Gene Wilder from that original, almost, but not officially.
You know, it's just weird. Like, they just did it for a new generation, and it's fun. So if you have kids, it's definitely good for kids. It it's good for the family. Like, Wait for it to be on streaming. I went to the movie theater. You know, it's I don't think it's worth it for the movie theater right now. Just Just wait for it on DVD or something if you wanna rent it. But it might be worth the purchase because I I think it I I think it's rewatchable. If you're a family that, enjoys musicals, you know, if you're already watching the Disney musicals, then, you know, you can just put The Wonka in in on that list. I think that's what they were going for. So really fun vibes, man. Really fun vibes, and I'm looking for more positive movies. There's no positive movies. All the movies are, like, depressing. You know? I think that's why Barbie was so popular too because Barbie like, it There's, like, a crisis within Barbie, but the but the Barbie movie itself is like a positive story. It's a positive film.
And, I think people are looking for that sort of a thing. I think that's why it was, like, the biggest movie ever. Man, what else do we got going on here? It's been a wonderful time, talking with you today. I think I wanna play 1 more song. That's value for value. Oh, anyway, value for value. Let let me just wrap up value for value. I do many things with it. There's 3 main ways that you can engage with it. There's 3 t's, time, talent, and treasure. Treasure is the Bitcoin and the Satoshis in the modern podcasting apps. Send me a boost to gram in one of those apps. Another way is your time. You know? Just you listening to this podcast, you watching my movie, that's your attention. Thank you so much for that.
And Along with just, like, sharing that, please share this podcast, share my movie. That's your time, and and that can be a way that you That you engage with me, so please do that. And and the other way is, talent. Lately, I've been giving my talents to Kyron for his, book Book reviews podcast. And when it comes to talents, for America Plus, you know, I'm looking for music, and I'm looking for People who you think are innovating. People who you think are positive. So if you wanna chime in and send me some people, Like, I'm looking for people to talk to, and I'm looking for people people to dive into and and share their information. You you know? Like like, get some clips of, of some other voices.
Just looking for people who are pushing positivity. You know? I'm sort of in this meditative state while I'm on vacation. I so I'm sort of just Allowing, like, me not like, I sort of don't have any ideas on purpose almost. It's all a plan. I'm just going for the ride. And, I'm I I want what I'm inspired by to come naturally. And I'm not seeking to force anything, and I'm not seeking to try to perform, a lot. I'm not trying to perform to I'm not trying to just entertain you. You know? Like, I'm trying to intrigue you, and I'm trying to, make you think a little And make you like, maybe I can inspire hope. Maybe I can make you think about hope in a different way. Make you think about love in a different way.
You know? That's the fun thing. What we're doing now, guys, we're gonna go to another song. 2nd song, and then we're gonna things up, guys.
[00:25:22] Unknown:
This is coming in from a band called Peck Slip. This is egg. Let's vibe. Egg by Peck Slip. Thank you so much, Peck Slip.
[00:28:02] Unknown:
Never knew I could hear a song like that. Wow. Wow. Wow. The music, the variety, and this value for value. This value for value ecosystem, folks. This is where the innovation's at. This is where the artistry is at. This is where the Renaissance is, man. The Renaissance. You understand that? The Renaissance. The winner sauce. The sauce with the sauce. Anyway, folks, What else do I wanna say? Guys, I really don't wanna say anything else today. It's January 7th, and I'm just in a good mood. And I wanna have a good night with my girlfriend, And I wanna have a good dinner, and I want you to just be healthy. And I want you to know that I'm focused on being healthy, and I'm focused on being the best version of myself this year.
And the this podcast will be a reflection of that. It's going to be an example of that. And I only wanna inspire that for you as well because the best thing that we can do for ourselves is be the best of ourselves. That's it. That's America Plus, bitch. Stay free.

Stay free.
