Welcome to the Elevate Utah podcast,where passion means purpose   in the world of disc golf.   Brought to you by Elevate Utah,a nonprofit dedicated to growing   the sport, building communityand making disc golf accessible for all.   Whether you're a seasoned proor just discovering the game,   we're here to share stories, insights, andthe latest updates for courses in Utah.   So grab your discs, hit the course,and let's elevate the game together.   Welcome to the Elevate Utah podcast,   where we will be breaking downbig ideas in bite sized episodes.   I'm your host, Nick Jennings,and today we're diving into what podcast   2.0 is, why it matters and how it'schanging the future of podcasting.  

And give a brief introduction   of what you can expectfrom the Elevate Utah podcast.   So what exactly is podcast 2.0?   In short, it's an evolution of podcasting   that enhances the experiencefor creators and listeners alike.   Traditional podcasting has been great,but it has also had its limitations,   like a lack of real timefeedback and outdated discovery tools.   Podcast 2.0 is here to fix that.   One of the biggest changes is theintegration of new open podcast standards.   This will include featureslike transcripts, chapter markers,   the ability to add mixed media,as well as live streaming,   making podcastsmore accessible and interactive.  

Imagine listening to your favorite show   and being able to see the layoutof the course we are talking about,   or update photos of the new coursesgetting installed,   or even just receiving real time updateswhen a new episode drops.   That is podcast 2.0 in action.   Another key part is decentralization.   Unlike traditional platforms that rely ononly a handful of hosting services,   podcast2.0 embraces open source innovation,   giving podcasters more controlover their content and audience data.   This means less gatekeepingand more creative freedom.   Here at the Elevate Utah Podcast,   our mission is to inspire and empowerour listeners to get involved   with their communities and find waysto improve our public spaces together   or, in other words, to elevate Utah.
