The Hollywood radio theater. Ladies and gentlemen, I want you to go with me through Never Never Land because we're going to tell you one of the most enchanting stories of all guys, Peter Pan. Peter Pan was created by the great playwright, James m Barry. It was our own Walt Disney who brought Peter and his charming little friends to the screens for everyone to enjoy. And as our stars from the original cast, we have those two talented youngsters, Bobby Biscoe and Kathryn Beaumont. We also represent John Carradine, a fine actor, whom I had the pleasure of directing one of his first pictures. Now Peter Pan starring Bobby Biscoe as Peter and Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy with John Caledine as Captain Hook.
In psycho position. For the boys, Peter Pan is the hero of all that messaged game. While Wendy not only believes in Peter Pan, but is the supreme authority on all this marvelous adventure. Now anyone who believes in Peter Pan also believes in his arch enemy, the notorious, cowardly pirate Captain Hook. Captain Hook, you know, his very aptly named, a crocodile once devoured his hand. And in its place, he wears an iron hook where his right hand used to be. Pardon me. It's not his right hand, sir. His left hand. Oh. Yeah. I want to be sure. Her left hand. Thank you, Wendy. Not at all. Anyway, the boys, John and Mike, like nothing better than to play at being Peter Pan and Captain Hook. For example, just listen
[00:03:00] Unknown:
to them.
[00:03:18] Unknown:
Hello Well, I didn't mean to step on your tail. I'm sorry, Nana. Now where are my couplets? Couplets? Yes. The gold ones. Mother and I are going out tonight and they're sorry. Hi. The buried treasure. You what? Don't worry, father. But first, we have to consult Matt. Now then, by looking at this Matt Good heavens. My full day shit butt. My love teeny shit butt. How can I wear it tonight? You've gone your silly mess all over my shit butt. Hey. Look. My best shirt. But it's all just coming. Come right off, Michael. Now really. It's not your fault, mother. It's your story. Are you ready, sir? Wendy. A Wendy story. I might have known. Wendy, come here. Yes, Bobby. Stuffing these boys with a lot of particular stories. Captain Cook indeed. Pizza pirates. Oh, pizza barn, my father. Poppycock. Absolute poppycock. Oh, my George. Mary, our daughter's growing up.
And sooner or later, people have to go up. Thereby, sit well. See you in the morning. A few moments later, mister and missus Dolly were on their way to their party.
[00:05:16] Unknown:
George, do you think the children were just safe up there without manners? Of course, they'll be safe. But Wendy says something about his shadow. No. What shadow? Do you depend?
[00:05:26] Unknown:
Wendy says she found his shadow. Oh, he said that. These are bad. You don't say. Good gracious. Whatever shall we do? But yet, turn me off. Call me off. Oh, Mary of all the impossible ill fatter. Now had mister Darling sent a look? He would have seen two visitors there in the moonlight, high on the roof. One of them looks very much like a boy. Image is only that. Jason says here is the boy. None other than Peter Pan. But he'd have had to look more closely to see his companion. A very tiny companion no larger than, well, the Dafina. Well, she's a pixie. A very pretty, softy little pixie. Her name is Tinkerbell. Now Tinkerbell never talks, never says a word. She has a special language all her own, and it sounds something like this.
[00:06:15] Unknown:
But I told you, Dink. We had to slide down here to find my shadow. And just as soon as we find it, we'll fly back to never never land.
[00:06:22] Unknown:
Well, there's the window. You ready? Don't go. Alright, Pinc. Walk us through the room. You look there, and I'll look over here. Just help me find my channel. It was Tinker Bell who found it. Lying your top door of the dresser. Just where Wendy at the end. Well, all I have to do now is put my shadow back on. Then we can go to Peter.
[00:06:49] Unknown:
Peter. Ken. Oh, oh, I knew you come back. Oh, girl. You're forced to be a flame. But you broke me up. Oh, Peter. What is the web you're trying to do? Well, I'm putting my shadow on. Of course. The soap? You can't stick a shadow on the soap. You can stick a fill on with needle and thread. You sure? Well, no. But I think so. Now I find my stone to use and stick it on in no time. Of course, I knew it with your shadow the milk I served. I said to like that. I I said, I'll put you to work if you can plan until he comes back. Oh, he's sure to come back, I said. And you did, didn't you, Peter? Because I don't understand it.
Peter, how can I sell your shadow on if you keep flying around the room? Girls talk too much. Or I'm sorry. Her mother is Wendy. Wendy, Laura, and Wendy's enough. Oh, now I did manage to get your shadow in the first place. She jumped at me the other night over there at the windowsill. You're talking to Bill on the windowsill. I came to listen to your stories, of course. My stories? They're all about you. That's why I like them. I count the lost voice. The lost voice? Oh, I remember. Don't you help me. I'm so glad you came back. I might never have seen you. Why not?
Because I have to go out stalking tomorrow. Grow up? But that means no more space. Not even one. No. I won't have it. Come on. Come on. The clock. That's where I come from. Never never land. Never never land. You'll never go up there. Oh, Oh, the clock would mother say. Mother? What's mother? I you mean, doesn't what mother is? Oh, mother's someone who who loves you and cares for you and tell you stories. Good. Now come out of the window. And when I tell you that No. No. Just a minute. I I have to pack some clothes and even leather. Oh, I'm so happy. I give her a kiss. Be quiet, Tinkerbell.
[00:08:45] Unknown:
What's a kiss?
[00:08:47] Unknown:
Well, a kiss is, just don't feel, and I'll show you.
[00:08:54] Unknown:
Oh, oh, oh, what is it? It's in my hair. Oh, who's in my hair?
[00:09:00] Unknown:
Oh, what in the world? Tinkerbell. I don't know what got into her. All I was going to do is give you a oh. Oh, I see. But you certainly got mad about something. Jeremy, Michael, wake up. Lord. Dear, we've wakened my brothers. Talking about it. I'm Michael, and my name's John. How do you do? A next one. A firefly. Oh, no, Michael. Not a firefly. A fixie. She says you're a big ugly girl. Amazing.
[00:09:26] Unknown:
Oh,
[00:09:35] Unknown:
I couldn't go without Michael and John. Captain Cook is in Neverland, is he not? I should like very much to cross swords with the real bucket list. Yeah. All those pirates still. Where are I? But you'll have to take orders. But but how do we get to Neverland? How? Can we fly? Of course. But we can't fly. Of course you can. It's easy. All you do is
[00:09:57] Unknown:
is,
[00:09:59] Unknown:
gee, that's funny. What letter? Don't you know? Oh, sure. It's it's just that I never thought about it before.
[00:10:06] Unknown:
Let's see.
[00:10:07] Unknown:
That's it. You think of a wonderful fact. Amy, how do you hear my thoughts? Uh-huh. Nice. Try to click it? Play bell? Snow? Yep. Watch me now. Here I go. It's easier than power. It can fly. It can fly. It can fly. Now you try. I think of a many lagoon. I'm in some magic moon. I think I'm in a pirate's cage. Now everybody try. One, two, three. We can try. We can try. We can try.
[00:10:38] Unknown:
This won't do. What's the matter with you? All it takes is faith and trust. Oh, and something I forgot. Yes. Yes? Yep. Just a little bit of pixie dust. Alright, Pinch. Get out some pixie dust.
[00:10:51] Unknown:
You should say not.
[00:10:53] Unknown:
Well, I say you shall. It's an order. Rosa. Oh, look at her mommy.
[00:11:00] Unknown:
Now think of the happiest thing. It's the same as having wings. Let's talk time. Just find smart. No. No. Rosie, not the spot. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No
[00:11:55] Unknown:
And so they flew out of the house into the starry desert. They flew over Bloomsbury Street and over the fires and towers of London town and higher and higher and higher. All in all, the most exhilarating experience except for Tina Bear, laddies. He's just a little jealous and doesn't like the idea at all. Anyway, when the city disappeared underneath the clouds and the stars grew bigger and bigger. You know, the world is in pretty good shape when people try to outdo each other in doing things for others. If that sounds a little confused, let me tell you what I mean. In Tokyo, Two of the commanding generals honor guard platoons each adopted an orphanage. They sent work parties to repair roofs, walls, ceilings, windows, and floors to fix the plumbing and renew kitchen and heating facilities.
Intense rivalry developed between the units as to which could do the most. Each platoon solicited money at its pay tables. They bought boats of cloth and had royal clothes made for their proteges. It's the kind of game, the kind of a rivalry that we like to hear about because it's one in which everybody wins. And such acts by you and your friends today are shaping our world of tomorrow. Now our producer, mister Cummings, act two of Peter Pan starring Bobby Driscoll as Peter and Katherine Beaumont as Wendy with John Carradine as Captain Hook and Bill Johnson as Snee.
Now while Peter Pan and Lindsey and John and Michael, oh, yes, and tiny supercharger, while they're flying to the island of Never Neverland, what does captain Hooker? Captain Hooker is still in this pilot tour. Well, What are the North, sir? No. No. No. Any fool knows the North is all Indian territory. But wait. Wait. Those redskins know this island better than I do my own ship. I wonder. Good morning, captain. I got it, mister C. I got it. Look at Cotton Hooks, mate. That's my nose hit with me. Oh, so it is. See, I found the solution.
Tiger Lily. Tiger Lily. The Indian princess. The chief daughter.
[00:15:35] Unknown:
Maroonie. Oh, you're a fly one, Cappenote. Fly a fly.
[00:15:39] Unknown:
Thank you. But no, sir. I'm busy your pardon. It is what I'd call exactly good form, sir. Good form, mister Lee. Blast good form. His hand is so good form when he did this to me, cutting off my left hand. Well, now, captain, you've done him in a fair dune, I'd say. Once you take my hand and toss it overboard you through that crocodile. Boy, sweetie boy, sir. Go ahead. Let's just see. Enough of that infernal sound. But but I don't mean, sir. I am talking to you. Oh, no. No.
[00:16:24] Unknown:
Down there. Look. Stay on the water. Now see if he ain't found you again. He's looking now that's what happens.
[00:16:43] Unknown:
That's an offer. Nothing to fret about. I can't stand it any longer. I can't. I tell you. I can't. Well, now that being a case, sir, why don't we leave Never Neverland? We ought to be selling to business happen Like city ships, you couldn't get it. I've told you a hundred times. We don't lift anchor, collector. It's Peter Pan. Hang some harder. That's enough. It's him. It's Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Peter Pan. Yes. Eye in the sky flying over Never Neverland. Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the three children were coming to the end of their journey from London.
Well, there it is. There's Never Never Land. Oh, Peter.
[00:18:04] Unknown:
I think that that was good it could be. Hey, look, John. Let me go. Right, Joe.
[00:18:23] Unknown:
Pink. Take Wendy and the boys back in camp. Off the up here and go hook fire. Goodbye, peach hip. You have been naked. You have a castle.
[00:18:30] Unknown:
Come on, hook. Here I am. Try and hit me, you you cock fish. Cock fish.
[00:19:21] Unknown:
Well, of course they have tails. Now their friends, this is Fox Boy. He has a bushiest tail a lot. Then there's rabbit boy, jump boy, the bear cleanse. Well, anyway, there they are. And what a bunch of blackheads you've turned out to be. I'm blackheads. I'm wearing a letter to tell you a story, and this is what I find you doing to her. But gosh. Put a picture of the bird. A Wendy bird. A terrible, fierce Wendy bird. Take the back. And and she told us to see a set of glasses to brush her up. Oh, I see. Alright. Kate, come here.
You're charged with high treason. Guilty or not guilty? Guilty, Very well. I hereby banish you from Neverland
[00:20:02] Unknown:
forever. Oh, no, Peter. Not forever. Well, for a week then. Come on, Wendy. I'll show you the honor. Oh, I see the many sets. Let me see. Who wants to see mermaids? Let's go, honey. Aborigine. It's not a woman's goon. Alright, boy. While I show Wendy the mermaid lagoon, you take John and Michael and go and capture a few Indians. John, you can be the leader. I shall try to be worthy of my poster.
[00:20:29] Unknown:
Pretty woman.
[00:21:22] Unknown:
Poor Tiger Lily. They're heading for Starlock. Come on, Wendy. I've got a safe
[00:21:30] Unknown:
Yes. They just capture the Indian princess. What are the boys? What are Michael and John and the Lost Boys also were trying to capture the Indians? Now they found the Indians all like when we took him in Rome. Much of it is made with Indian and persistent.
[00:21:45] Unknown:
Hello. This is me. Yeah. Hey. I've been a lot of products to a problem for. You're ready, Michael. Here comes the
[00:21:56] Unknown:
For many moons, red man fights tail face, lost boys. Sometimes you win. Sometimes
[00:22:05] Unknown:
we win. Okay. See if you win this time. Now turn it through. Tell us, Ruth. Oh, this is Owen. Okay. Sure. Only, who knows? This time,
[00:22:44] Unknown:
See you again at sunset. Yes. The thief is convinced that the boys are still in popularity, but we know better than Greece. Once again, cunning, merciless captain, Hooker struck. Goodness the poor little princess and carried her off the skull rock. In this huge cave exploring the ocean hookah tie tiger lily to a rock that sets up from the water. And now dear princess just tell me the hiding place of Peter Pan and I shall set you free. Am I not an enemy word, mister Sneed? Oh, but are we, Kevin? Pardon me for crossing the ceiling. You'd better talk, my dear, for soon the tides will be coming in. Did you hear that?
Send my vocal, mister Speed. I'll reach among the rock. The voice, of course, was none other than Peter Pan. As soon as Captain Hook had clambered out of sight, Peter went in direction. Now watch this, Wendy. Would you be careful, Peter? What are you doing? Nowhere.
[00:23:58] Unknown:
All I'm going to do is imitate Captain Hook's voice. I do it rather well, I think.
[00:25:27] Unknown:
Call you at risk, Pam. At last we meet on even turf. But you've no room, Captain. You're the disadvantage. I can stand or fly apart with you. One false step and you plunge into the sea. I'll get you, Pam. I'll skewer your liver at the tip of me. That's enough. Murphy, just look at you. What a thing, mister Sneeze. Hanging from a lock with all your foot to keep him from falling. I'll get you for this, Pam, if it's the last thing I do. You pushed me off. That's what you did. Look at him, Wendy. A codfish hanging by a hook. I say, Captain. Do you hear something? Why, bless me. We have a visitor. Kevin, Kevin, he's gone up and over. The crocodile. He's not gonna He's not gonna shoot this. No. No. Good afternoon, mister Crocodile. And do you like codfish?
You do? Good. Hey, mister. Hey, mister. Hey, mister. Oh, mister right, pouture boy. I'm not going to push you off, but I can't save you either. You see captain? That rock you're hanging from is about to give way. Swim for it, captain. Swim. Stop it up to me. It's just me. It's just me. It's just me. Oh, it's a bit spicy to hold. Captain Hooks swimming for his life and a hungry crocodile lunging after him through the boiling water, napping and screaming hopefully, but reached his ship he did scrambling up the anchor chain just as the crocodile's jaws crashed behind And from the shore came Peter Pan's falcon cry of victory. Cut you, Peter Pan.
Cut you. Cut you. But Peter was too busy to listen to the ravings of the frustrated pilot, but he and Wendy now were bringing the Indian creatures back to his grateful father. What if captain Hooks? Had he learned his lesson at last? Well, if anyone thinks so, they simply don't know very much about captain Hooks. Oh, that boy. That wicked, wicked boy. They think a fool of me again. See you, bothering him, Brazil. Where's he must get popped?
[00:27:30] Unknown:
Where's the hook bar? Come here, sir. Come here. And that's not all I'm bringing you, sir. I've got news from the island.
[00:27:37] Unknown:
Oh, dear lady. All those nasty things, what news from the island? Well, search the coolest happiness cover brewing.
[00:27:45] Unknown:
Woman trouble. Now I wouldn't want this to go any further, but the cook told me that the first mate told him that he knows that porn has gone and vanished Tinkerbell. Congratulations,
[00:27:55] Unknown:
Steve. What do I tell what the cook said? Did you say Pan has baddest Tinker Bell? Aye aye, Cap'n. Yeah. Yes. But why? Well, on a kind of windy, Cap'n. She tried to do all things she did. Cooks terrible jealous. That's it, me. That's it. All this wonderful news that showed me papers. Why a jealous email can be tricked into anything. All we have to do is convince Tinker Bell that we're eager to help her and the little ones will chart our course straight to Pan's hiding place. Mister Smith, take the long road and go off. If it's all, thank you, captain. I'll stay on board and play quidditch with the cook. Yeah. I ain't used to me. You'll find Tinker Bell and bring that to me. Understand? It's a day to you.
Poor Tinker Bell. Banished by Peter Pan alone, dejected. He's easily captured by Duchess Lee. And now back on the pilot. And so my dear miss Bell, I have invited you aboard me gift to Cat of a mystical friend. But dear lad, Peter Pan. What lovely you what what what feeling? Thank you, Adam. Mister, I want to tell Peter. I want you to tell him that I've very loyal feeling poor Pan has his faults to be sure. And bringing that Wendy to the island, for instance, dangerous business that, why, Dame Humera has it, that already she has come between you and the church. What's this?
But very good question, ma'am. But how indeed? You see, when your banker come tomorrow, we sail away. That's it, sir. We'll Shanghai Wendy. Oh, boy, sir. Super bird. Take her to see with us. The Wendy gone, Peter will soon forget this mad infatuation. Me, we must go ashore at once, surround Pan all over the place. We don't know where Pan lives. Great. Stop. Me? You've a mind like a steel trap. Oh, sad, my dear. You can just One enters the tree, climbs down below the ground, and vents into a cave. Finger or a hook on Peter Pan. You eat as me. We found him alive.
Listen to the little deer. She wants to go back to the island. Miss Bells, you'll be more helpful. But the only place you're going is is in this slacker. A pretty little prison for a pretty little pixie. Come along, sweet Peter Pan's the prisoner of this night or I'm not Captain Hook. Act three of the Hollywood radio theater will continue in just a few moments. Corporal Sam Adler of the second armored division had an idea that he had put his talent to work for the betterment of German American relations. His background included two college degrees in music, and he knew that there were many musicians in the army. So we organized the Seventh Army Symphony Orchestra.
It was a spare time project that soon gained official notice, and the group made a total of 44 appearances in forty three days. New and difficult scores were learned almost overnight. German and American music was played at each concert. Everywhere the orchestra traveled, the audiences greeted it with amazement and wild applause. Here was a group, a cross section of America representing all races and creeds that brought together thousands of people on a common cultural and spiritual plane. There's no doubt that through the medium of music, corporal Sam Adler made a substantial contribution to the improvement of German American relations. Such act as these by you and your friends today are shaping our world of tomorrow.
The curtain rises on act three of Peter Pan, starring Bobby Driscoll as Peter and Catherine Beaumont as Wendy with John Carradine as Captain Hook and Bill Thompson as Smee. Well, it's now late at night. On one side of the island of Never Neverland, Captain Hook, mister Smee, and the pirate sneak stealthily ashore toward Hangman's Tree and Peter Pan's Hole. The children have just returned there from the Indian and kept and Wendy's having a little difficulty getting her younger brothers to go to sleep.
[00:33:37] Unknown:
Now I don't want to have to tell you again. They also call these antennas and get ready for bed. Where are you, Wendy? There are times when you try my Are you our mother, Wendy? I'm Michael. Of course not. Surely you haven't forgotten our real mother. Did you have stock in here and wear a fur coat? Oh, no, Michael. That was Nana the dog. I think I had a mother one. You did have it? I forget. I ain't a white rat. That's no mother. Now if you'd all be quiet, I'd try to tell you what a mother is. Mama. Well, a mother, a real mother, is the most wonderful person in the world. She the angel voice that gives you good night, kisses your cheeks, whispers, and cries.
[00:35:18] Unknown:
Meanwhile, captain Hook and pirates have reached the tree. And it's only fair to say, your three of them hearing Wendy's song, brushed through the tears from blood
[00:36:09] Unknown:
I wanna see your mother. Wendy, I'm supposed to leave for home at once. Can I go too? Me too, Wendy. I got too. I'm sure mother would be glad to have you. Daddy, if Peter doesn't mind Go on. Go.
[00:36:26] Unknown:
But I'm warning you, once you've grown up, you can never come back. Never.
[00:36:30] Unknown:
Well, how do you like that? What's on my path? Oh, man. Shellyville. You're back. Goodbye, Peter. And don't be just the same.
[00:36:44] Unknown:
Quickly the children ran from the caves, then through the tunnel, up the steps and out the hollow trunk of Hangman's tree and there. Surrounding them is Captain Hook and his wretched crew. Forever the men, Take him back to my ship. And now, mister Skee, to take care of Master Pes. He's still down there, captain. I heard him. The bomb, mister Skee. All I have to do now is lower this box containing the bomb down the hollow tree. There we are. Hey. Hey. Captain, would you seem all you may not just accept and sell a Hey. What, mister Steve? But I've given me word to think about not to lay a finger or a hook on Peter Pan.
And Captain Hook never breaks a promise. Come now back to the ship. And now, mister c, I can interview the three young ones from Bloomsbury Street. You have used your body, please?
[00:37:56] Unknown:
Oh, just No. Just No. Just Never. Well, young master,
[00:38:01] Unknown:
sir. You've had the proposition. Either you join the crew or walk the fight. Oh, no. We won't. Peter Pan will save us. Did you hear that, mister Steve? Pan will save us. Oh, see what's so funny? Then allow me to tell you dearly. I left a place for Pan. A sort of supply package, you might say. Seven package, to be sure. Why, I can see our little friend at this very moment, leaving the tender inscription that I wrote upon the box. To Peter with love from Wendy.
[00:38:35] Unknown:
Do not open until 06:00. What time is it, mister Smith? Twenty seconds from six Could
[00:38:42] Unknown:
he but see within the package, miss Wendy, he would find an ingenious little device So delicately set that when the hands of the clock be fixed, Peter Pan will be blasted off at Never Never Land forever. The bomb? No. No. Fourteen seconds. Thirty seconds. Yes. Captain Hook's triumphantly at hand. Is there nothing or no one remaining that bought this evil man? Patrice. Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell. The little dixie. Unknown to Capitol, Tinkerbell has escaped, and she's thrown from the ship quickly to take a place. Oh, hi, Tex.
Hey. I thought I'd vanished you. Take a look at this box. Wendy left it for me. Give it to you? Now stop that. Let go of it. What's the matter with you? Bomb? Captain Hook. Don't be silly. How could Captain Hook Hook? It's smoking. It is a bomb. Stand back, Dick. I'll throw it out of the cave. And so pass us a worthy opponent, mister Lee, but kindly remove your hat. Amen. And now, befriending, gentlemen, which will receive the pen for the planet?
[00:40:17] Unknown:
Captain Hook, my brother and I will never join your crew. As you wish.
[00:40:23] Unknown:
Alright. It feels right. Off the pipe they go.
[00:40:28] Unknown:
You'll be fine, Wendy. Lady is first. No. Good goodbye, boy. Goodbye. Bye, Wendy. Be brave. Won't you? I shall strive to, Wendy.
[00:40:44] Unknown:
Well, she walked the plank. Did she not Swiped to the end and then she jumped. Then
[00:40:49] Unknown:
where's the splash? It happened in no splash. Not a storm. Not a blooming ripples. Well, go to the alien. I don't know what.
[00:41:10] Unknown:
No. No Who's next? You pack them in kapoot. Who else wants to hear a clap? You're next, Clucky. This time you've gone too far. It's here. It's here. And I'm wondering. He stays Peter flew down to the deck, sword in hand, thirsty flax the ropes that found the lost boy together. And as they swarmed across the neck, passing the fire, Peter engaged in masterpiece in error. Don't take it. That's what it's done to Wendy and to her brother to say nothing of the lost boys in Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell? She saved my life. Thanks, dear, Chick. And she means more to me than anyone in the world. So take that, and that, and that. No, ma'am. Boy, I came to the demon. Your steel will never touch me. You forget, Hook. I can fly. Yeah. I ain't never been flying, Howard.
Howard? Me? You wouldn't dare engage me, man. Come back. You fly away like a cowardless fellow. Nobody calls Pan a coward and live. I'll fight your man to man. Pan with one hand behind my back. Cross your heart, you won't fight? No. No. He's a king. I'd give you my word. Thinly ever hit. In seven years, prepare to die. He's a fly. He's a fly. You're the master, Bruno, man. No. No. I gave my word. No. For a simp, that mortal man seemed such a duel. They fought on the deck. They battled in the rigging, and they parried at the yard. And then pressing his opponents to the rail, Pan at long last touched his steel to the scrawny throat of Captain Hook. You wouldn't do any old hook now, would you? I told you before.
Say your prayers. I'll go away forever. And dog much for help from your crew. They've already deserted you. They left the ship on the longboat. Oh, it's a sad day for piracy and crime. Bad. Bad boy. I'll do anything you say. Well Alright then. I'll throw you on this one condition. If you say you're a catfish. I'm a cot designer. I'm a coffee fish. I'm a coffee and I'm a coffee and I'm a coffee and never return. Go ahead, sugar. I always had him with me iron hook. This is the end. I was a fool to cut you. And since you're a catfish, into the sea you go where you belong.

No.

Me. Me. White bunny. The last they saw Captain Hooky was still doing, but pursuing, but we pursued over the horizon by a very happy crocodile. Hook's ship now belongs to Peter Pan, and the very first command from Captain Pan is directed at Tinker Bell. Well, Tink, we're hoisting the anchor. I hereby order you to sprinkle this entire ship with pixie dust. We're flying down to London. And that's exactly what happened. Full sailed to the wind. The ship sped down the Milky Way and over London town. It left two boys in Langel safely in their home on Bloomsbury Street. When their parents returned and went up the stairs to make sure their children were asleep.
[00:45:01] Unknown:
I'm so glad you changed your mind about Wendy.
[00:45:04] Unknown:
After all, George, she still is a child. Oh, stop. Hey. No. I never mean nothing.
[00:45:09] Unknown:
Well, in the morning, you'll tell if she may George? George, Wendy is not in her bed. Quickly dear, turn off the lamp.
[00:45:17] Unknown:
Wendy, what on earth are you doing at the window?
[00:45:21] Unknown:
A seat, dear? At the window? Oh, mother. You're back. Back? Yes, father. From Never Never Land. Never Never Land. Oh, yes. But I am. Am? Ready. To go up, father.
[00:45:36] Unknown:
Oh, oh, well, my dear. All in good time. After all, perhaps we were a little hasty. Oh, but this is such a wonderful adventure. Why we would even kidnap him either.
[00:45:46] Unknown:
And I knew Peter Pan would save us and he did. And we all called him the car thief. Oh, Kathy, look at him. And then he sailed away on a ship in the sky.
[00:45:57] Unknown:
Mary, I'm going to bed.
[00:46:00] Unknown:
Oh, mother. He will not be fond of anything.
[00:46:04] Unknown:
Look out the window. See how well he feels for shit. No, dear. There's nothing out there in the sky except George.
[00:46:13] Unknown:
George, look. No. What? There. Against the moon.
[00:46:21] Unknown:
You know, man. I have the strangest feeling that I've seen that ship before a long time ago when I was a little boy. There's Wendy there. He really is one. In a moment, our stars will return. This is really a story about two people. One is chief petty officer Harry Flame, a veteran Navy electrician who saw lots of action in the war in The Pacific. The other is missus Sedaya Ishiwaka of Tokyo. Missus Ishiwata turned her home and her fortune over to 53 boys and girls of all ages who were orphaned by World War two, and chief frame devoted his off duty hours to helping this tiny Japanese lady.
He organized his friends in the work teams. And because of their work, the home took on a bright new look. New panes of grass were installed. A new girl's dormitory was built. And twice a week, a navy truck rolled up with leftover food, writing paper, worn out clothing, and other contributions from the man. Chief Frame made it his private project toward better relationships between people of two different countries, and it's paid off in mutual goodwill. Such acts by you and your friends today are shaping our world of tomorrow.
And now, mister Cummings with our stars. And here they are, Peter Pan and Wendy. I mean, Bobby Driscoll and Catherine Boba. And don't forget John Carradine who plays captain Hart. Mister Carradine takes my thought to mister Darling. Of course, you are. Mister Carradine is very versatile. So we cast him as both mister Darling and captain Hook. John, tell Barbie and Cathy about your one man show. It's called the character of a famous role. I do see from Hamlet and Macbeth. You'll receive her. Oh, we certainly want to see the show, mister Carradine. You know, I want to study Shakespeare even if the best roles do go to the men.
[00:48:57] Unknown:
Oh, what an enchanting horse Tinker Bell has. Mr Carradine, listen to that. Is the crocodile after you again? No, Kathy. That's just nearest watch. He's telling me it's time for us to leave. Good night. Good night. Good night, and have a wonderful trip.

Once again, the holiday season is here, and may it be a joyous Christmas for you. Knowing that at last our country is at peace, may we continue to pray that the wonderful words spoken on the first Christmas day two thousand years ago will prevail throughout the world as they may truly be peace on earth, goodwill toward men. Third in our cast tonight were Bill Thompson as mister Smee, Bert Butterfield as the narrator, Christopher Cook as John, Richard Beals as Michael, Mary Flynn as missus Arling, Billy Butcher as the Indian chief, Michael Miller as Cubby, Stuffy Singer as Foxy, Earl Keen as Nana, and Chef Lincoln and Eddie Marr as the pirates. The Hollywood Radio Theater is produced by Mr. Harding Cummings. Our orchestra is under the direction of Rudy Schrager.
